CHAPTER 026 – UA DORMS PART 2

A ray of sunlight snuck through the curtains covering the balcony doors and landed across the face of a green haired young man. Feeling some sort of warm sensation on him, he stirred with a slight groan as he began waking up. Cracking his eyes open, he quickly shut them again the moment the sunlight entered his vision.

"Too bright…" muttered Izuku as he flung his good arm over his face to block the light. Thinking if he should try to go back to sleep for a little while longer, he ultimately decided against it. As much as he was enjoying the soft bed and felt completely relaxed for a change after everything he's been through in such a short amount of time, he knew he couldn't stay lazy in bed all day. He had a lot of things to do today and the sooner he got started on them, the better.

Taking in a breath, he exhaled it out before taking off the bed covers and got up into a sitting position. Rubbing his eyes with his good hand, he then stood up and made his way to the bathroom while letting out a yawn. After using the facilities, he washed up and reached over to grab something in his still half awake state. Feeling nothing but air, he turned his gaze towards the area. Oh, right…I didn't unpack yet...

With nothing available for him to use at the moment, he just splashed some water onto his face several times to fully wake himself up before scrubbing his teeth the best he could with his finger. Not the same but it'll have to do until I unpack everything. I gotta brush my teeth asap.

Finished with that, Izuku left the bathroom and put on his school uniform's trousers and button down white shirt with a little bit of difficulty. It was all he had available for the moment until he brought his belongings from the main common area. After getting dressed, he picked up his cell phone to look at the time. It's passed ten in the morning already? Man, I must've been tired…

Izuku had turned off his alarm for the day but he didn't think that he'd wake up so late since he was so used to waking up early in the morning. Another realization hit him at that moment. He was probably more exhausted than he thought and both the previous One For All users and his loved ones telling him to rest for now were right. He really did need to take some time to recover. Not just from him overusing his quirk, but from actual exhaustion due to everything he's been through. And it's barely been a little over a week with everything that's happened.

After deciding to take it easy after getting his belongings and organizing his dorm, Izuku stepped out of his dorm and began making his way to his very near destination. While on his way, he was surprised that he didn't run into anyone. Not in the girls' common area or in the main one. He even decided to check the guys' side and still no one.

Huh…is there really no else awake? Maybe they're still in their rooms? They probably even stayed up late too. Wait, didn't some of them say that they're gonna leave in the morning to go get some stuff? After a moment of trying to remember where some of them were gonna go, Izuku decided to just let it go.

Heading back to the row of stacked boxes, Izuku wondered what the most efficient way of taking them would be with just one usable arm at the moment. When he reached them, he just let out a sigh and grabbed the first box and carried it under his left arm. Might as well just get started and do it one at a time, thought Izuku as he made his way back to his dorm.

It didn't take him too long to reach his room and place the box up against the wall between the two doors. Maybe a couple minutes at most even with using the elevator. But he just started and there were many more boxes. But even so, Izuku didn't let that hinder him at all. Continuing his current task, he made a few more trips and after the fourth one, right when the elevator doors opened for him to go down again, he found two girls standing in front of him in the elevator.

"Oh, hey, good morning Ashido-san. Hagakure-San," greeted Izuku, glancing at Mina and then at the floating clothes where he thought Toru's eyes should be.

"Mornin Midoriya!" replied Toru happily.

Mina however pouted while somehow puffing out her cheeks and crossed her arms. "What did I tell you, Midori?!"

"Oh, r-right. My bad. Mina," apologized Izuku while rubbing the back of his head with his cheeks reddening slightly.

Mina's pout turned into a smirk since she got an idea on how to mess with him as punishment. "Good. Going down, Midori?" she asked slyly with her cheeks flushing purple a bit at the innuendo.

Izuku nodded, oblivious to her hidden meaning. "Yeah, gotta take care of some stuff," he said while thinking about all the boxes he still has to take up to his room.

"I bet you do," remarked Toru with an unseen blush before she started giggling and so did Mina. Though the pink girl was a little disappointed that he didn't get flustered by it.

Tilting his head slightly at the girls' behavior, Izuku didn't know what was going on with them. Deciding to just let it go, he stepped into the elevator while thinking something. Probably a girl thing, he thought while turning to face the door as it closed with him in front of the girls who kept giggling. When they reached the ground floor, Izuku stepped out with the two following after him while their giggles slowly subsided as they made their way into the main living area.

Finally composing herself, Toru skipped forward to walk by Izuku's side as she asked him a question. "So, what stuff do you gotta do?"

"Oh, just getting my boxes and taking them to my room," answered Izuku as he gestured towards the stacks of boxes up against the wall.

"Why didn't UA take them up for you?" asked Mina.

"Well, because of Eri, UA didn't know which side I'd be on so I had to wait. Thanks again, by the way."

"Oh, that makes sense and sure."

"Yeah, no problem. Do you want some help?" asked Toru as Izuku went to the stacks.

"Oh, no it's okay. I don't want to bother you," said Izuku as he picked up a box.

Toru moved forward as she spoke. "You don't have to worry about that Midoriya. I'd be happy to help!"

"Yeah, me too! But I do need my morning coffee first," added Mina, heading to the kitchen.

Izuku couldn't help but feel appreciative over their willingness to help. After thanking them, Izuku and Toru headed back towards his room while Mina made herself some coffee. Two of the three went back towards his room with relatively comfortable silence between them.

Realizing she had an opportunity to get an answer to one of the questions that kept her up a little last night, Toru spoke. "Hey, Midoriya?"

"Hmm? What's up Hagakure-san?"

"Just Hagakure is fine," she said and Izuku nodded. "Just wanted to know something if that's okay."

"If it's not too personal, sure, go ahead," as he looked where her head should be while they continued walking.

Toru's torso shifted slightly so he could tell she was looking at him. "Well, I was wondering, are you se-"

"Hey, Wonderboy!"

Both Izuku and Toru looked towards the elevator, somehow not noticing the ding it made and found Setsuna and Yui walking towards them from it. The green haired girl was giving a sly look at the two while the black haired girl's gaze was locked onto Izuku.

Damn it… Unknown to them all, Toru narrowed her eyes over being interrupted when she had worked up the courage to ask Izuku that very important question.

"Good morning, Tokage-san, Kodai-san."

"Good morning."

"Ah c'mon, Wonderboy, don't be so formal with me. I already told you, you can call me whatever you like," reminded Setsuna as she sauntered up to him while flashing a toothy grin.

Why's she so forward? Izuku reddened but did his best to keep his composure. "T-Thanks but I'm gonna keep calling you Tokage-san for now."

"Hmm, playing hard to get, huh?" asked Setsuna as she got closer to him. "That's alright. I like a challenge." Her grin widened seeing his face become redder.

"Stop," ordered Yui in a serious tone and yet her facial expression remained stoic.

Setsuna rolled her eyes. "Alright, alright. Anyways, just call me Tokage at least. And if you're not done yet, I'll help you out too, Wonderboy. After I get my morning brew," she said while walking past Izuku and patting his shoulder.

"Ah, thanks," replied Izuku as he glanced back at her before facing forward. "You okay, Kodai-san?" he asked her, due to how she had stopped near them and wasn't saying anything.

Yui's pupils barely shifted onto Toru and the box before immediately moving back towards Izuku. "Yes." Extending out her hands in front of her, her actions made Izuku and Toru exchange looks with each other before facing her again. When they did, Yui made the universal gesture for 'gimmie'.

Curiosity getting the better of him, Izuku handed over the box he was carrying first. Izuku's eyes widened when the box shrunk to a minuscule fraction of its original size the moment all five finger tips of Yui's right hand touched the box. "Wow, that's so cool!" exclaimed Izuku with an excited expression forming on his face. With his gaze still on the shrunken box, he began rambling off his thoughts while not noticing the expressions on either girl's face. "Shrinking things is such an amazing quirk! Does it work with both hands? Do you have to use all five fingers or can you use any amount? Does it work on everything? What are the limitations? I assume the weight shrinks too, right? Is it time based or can you enlarge them whenever you want? What's the biggest thing you've shrunk? Can you increase the size of things too? Have you ever…"

Yui and Toru were both sporting astonished expressions at the speed at which Izuku asked his questions and how excited and interested he seemed to be. And Yui never had anyone become so interested in her quirk. Most just thought it was useful without thinking about it too much. Honestly, she was quite flattered by it. Though she was starting to feel slightly embarrassed and that almost never happens.

"Midoriya?"

Izuku stopped his muttering with his gaze snapping up towards Yui's once more. A heavy blush formed on his face out of embarrassment over his behavior. Damn it, I was doing so well controlling it too… "S-Sorry, Kodai-san. I just get excited learning about quirks that sometimes my thoughts just come tumbling out of my mouth and I…"

"It's okay," interrupted Yui, her eyes displaying some joy and amusement while raising her hand with the small box on her palm. Cute, she thought due to his reddened face and how embarrassed he was.

Unable to help himself, Izuku smiled a bit as he relaxed. "Thank you. And, you can bring them back to normal easily, right?" he said as he gently took the box from her hand.

Yui nodded at his question. "You're welcome." Turning towards Toru, Yui touched the box in her hands and it shrunk too.

"Thanks," said Toru as coolly as possible since she was a little annoyed over her actions getting attention but internally grateful for not carrying the heavy box anymore.

"Mm," replied Yui before facing Izuku. "Any more?"

Understanding her, Izuku pointed behind him with his left thumb. "In the main area. Since we're already here, let me drop off these two and I'll come back for the rest," suggested Izuku as he asked for the tiny box from Toru who reluctantly gave it up. "I'll be back in a minute."

Yui and Toru watched Izuku go towards the elevator and get inside before their gazes landed onto each other. "I'll show you where they're at," informed Toru before leading the way. I guess I gotta wait for another chance later…

Yui followed Toru and the two girls were soon in the living area. "There they are," remarked Toru as she gestured with her arm towards the stacks of boxes.

"Okay," replied Yui. Reaching the boxes, she started shrinking them down as well.

"Now that's smart," commented Mina while walking up to the two with a cup of coffee in her hand.

"Yup, that's our 'Quiet Princess' for ya," joked Setsuna who was also holding a cup of coffee. Her comment didn't affect Yui since she was used to her.

When Yui finished shrinking all the boxes, she turned to the three girls near her. "Ready to go," she told them and they understood. Each of the girls picked up several of the boxes since they were so small. Between the four of them, they were able to grab them all. Once they did, they began heading back to their side of the dorms. The moment they entered their common area, the elevator doors opened and Izuku stepped out.

"Midori, we got your boxes," said Mina.

"Oh, thanks! You can just drop them off in my room while I go get the rest."

"No need, Midoriya since we got them all," informed Toru.

"Wait, really?"

"Yup! Yui's quirk sure is handy!" exclaimed Setsuna.

"That's awesome. But, let me take some of your hands," said Izuku.

"Don't worry about it, Midori. It's the least we can do after you saved our lives," said Mina with a smile.

"Are you sure?"

"What, you think we can't handle a handful of Lego sized boxes?" questioned Setsuna with narrowed eyes and the three girls copied her.

Izuku took a step back while waving his good hand in front of him with his eyes widening. "N-No, of course not!"

Keeping up their glares for a second longer, the girls somehow all switched from glaring at him to suddenly smiling. "Good," said Yui as she moved into the elevator.

"C'mon, Midori!" said Mina as she somehow wrapped her arm around Izuku's arm again even while carrying the small boxes and coffee. Half dragging him into the elevator, they were followed by Toru and Setsuna who couldn't help but chuckle.

Stay calm, stay calm, stay calm… Izuku kept repeating those words in his mind while in the middle of the four girls as the elevator went up. Though they had some space to spread out, all four of the girls had stationed themselves as close as possible to him without touching him. The social training and practice he did with Nemuri and the guidance he was given from Natasha were a couple of the reasons as to why he wasn't completely freaking out in this scenario. It also helped how he remembered what his mother and mentor told him about having admirers and to take things in stride while holding his head up. Even so, he was still getting used to so much positive attention being directed towards him. But he couldn't lie about not enjoying it.

Luckily, the elevator ride was pretty short. Somewhat relieved, Izuku led the way down the hall towards his room door. Opening it up for the girls, Izuku held it for them to enter.

"Where do you want them?" asked Toru.

"Oh, just up against the wall is fine."

"I got a better idea, Wonderboy."

"You do?"

"Why do you sound like you're shocked?!" questioned Setsuna incredulously.

"Sorry, sorry! Didn't mean it to come out like that! I swear!"

"Hmph! Anyways! Just follow my lead everyone!" Setsuna started placing her boxes on the floor with some space between them. Understanding what she was doing, the rest copied her. When finished, Setsuna faced Yui who glanced at her. "You know what to do, girl!"

"Mm." Yui turned her gaze back towards the boxes. Raising her hands, she placed her finger tips against each other that caused a slight glow to appear where they touched and said a single word as she did so. "Release."

Immediately, the boxes enlarged back to their original size and since they were spaced out enough, none of the boxes ended up crashing against each other.

"There you go! Now you don't have to lift them up off each other," said Setsuna with a big smile, feeling as if she accomplished a great mission.

"Hmm, you got a point." A big smile formed on his face. "Thank you girls. You helped me again and made bringing up my stuff a breeze."

Seeing his sunshine smile again, three of the girls couldn't help but smile back while the fourth had her eyes flicker between emotions again. "Need help unpacking?" asked Toru.

"Oh no, I couldn't ask that of you. Not that you can't do it or anything! I just want to take my time and not worry about personal stuff being accidently seen, you know?" he told them, hurriedly adding the latter parts when he noticed them starting to narrow their eyes.

"Okay, yeah, makes sense. I wouldn't want my personal stuff seen either," agreed Toru.

"We'll leave you to it. But if you need anything, just let us know. Okay, Midori?"

"Thank you and I will." After the girls left his room and Izuku closed the door after them, he turned around to face the boxes on the floor. "Well, easy part's done. Now comes the hard part. But first, which box has my toothbrush and toothpaste?" Letting out a sigh, Izuku got to work as he moved towards the closest box.

As Izuku looked for those items, found them, used them and then got started on putting away his other belongings, he never realized that he'd spoken with the girls like that. And luckily for him, he didn't really have bad morning breath and the girls never noticed anything either…

Panting heavily while doing his best to keep up, Nirengeki was regretting his choice of asking to join Tenya and Jurota in their morning run. Being chubbier than the rest of his fellow first years from both classes, he knew he had to get into better physical shape. But he thought it was gonna be a simple morning jog and that it'd be a short one that would last for half an hour or so at most.

He was wrong. It wasn't simple. It wasn't short.

Instead, it was already over an hour that they were on their run. And it started around 930am. Their run consisted of actual running. Not only that, but there were some parts where they sprinted, going as fast as they could go. Only a handful of times did they jog and that was only to get some air back into their lungs before taking off again.

All in all, Nirengeki was in absolute hell. He hated every second of this run and regretted his choice. But he didn't give up. Even though he felt like he was about to collapse any second, he kept pushing himself while repeating some encouraging words in his mind.

It didn't last long though and Nirengeki felt his stomach suddenly churn. Eyes widening, he got off the track and moved as quickly as he could towards the dirt filled area. Reaching it at the last second, he dropped to his knees, hunched over and vomited onto the ground.

Unnoticed by Nirengeki, the other two runners noticed his predicament and immediately went towards him. When they noticed that he finished vomiting, they drew closer to him and one of them spoke. "Are you alright, Shoda-san?"

Taking in a few breaths, Nirengeki then spit out some saliva and leftover bile before he replied back while panting in between his words. "Y-Yeah…just…not used…to running…so much…"

"Perhaps it be best that we end things now. Do you agree, Iida-san?" suggested Jurota.

"You're right, Shishida-san. We mustn't overwork ourselves or it'll have the opposite effects we want," said Tenya.

"I'm sorry for ending our run because of my short comings," apologized Nirengeki.

"No need to apologize. You did your best and endured until you could no more," responded Jurota.

"Shishida-san's right. If anything, we should apologize for not noticing how you were in agony while trying to keep up with us. Please forgive us," said Tenya as he got closer to his peer.

Jurota followed Tenya's example. "His words are valid. I apologize for not noticing."

Both Tenya and Jurota helped Nirengeki back onto his feet with the later telling the two that they don't need to apologize for anything. That he should be aware of his limits, heed them and not go dangerously over them. Especially when there's no emergency to do so.

"You're correct on that but even so, we must help each other when we can," said Jurota.

"Agreed. That is what a true hero and good person would do. And we should strive to be like that. Just like Midoriya-san," stated Tenya and they couldn't argue about that.

After catching his breath, Nirengeki was assisted to his feet and the three of them went back to their dorms. As they did so, they conversed about training regiments and how they could perhaps get advice from others or get them involved as well.

Lying down on her bed, she was staring up at the ceiling while thinking about many things for a while now after waking up. It was something she hadn't done for a long time now. The last time she had done something of the sort was when she felt horrible after being teased and made fun of for her appearance by a handful of dumbasses from her previous school.

This time it was because of something else. She was feeling a whirlwind of emotions it wasn't due to being made fun of. No, this time it involved a certain green haired young man who had somehow caught her attention without him even trying to do so. The sad thing was she barely knew him. And she was terrified over her growing feelings for him and how she was losing herself in front of others because of him. From arguing with others on his behalf to breaking down in front of her parents over how scared she was for him. Never had she ever behaved in such a way because of someone else before in her life. Nor had she ever felt something like this before.

And the absolute worst part of it all was that Kyoka had absolutely no idea on what to do in this situation.

Dwelling on that for a little while longer, Kyoka finally forced her mind to stop. There was no point in constantly thinking about that stuff and she was better off not thinking about things she couldn't control. Plus, she needed to get out of bed and do something. Doing some action was better than just wallowing in self-pity and unending thoughts.

Glancing at her phone, Kyoka found that it was passed eleven in the morning. "Are you shittin me?!" she whispered to herself. Dumbfounded over the fact that she spent over two hours lost in thought while lying down on her bed and staring at the ceiling, Kyoka closed her eyes and took in a breath before letting out a long sigh. "Get it together, Kyoka. You got shit to do." Getting out of bed, Kyoka grabbed a towel and headed into her bathroom.

"Seventy…one…seventy…two…seventy…"

"C'mon bro! C'mon! You're almost there!"

"…three…"

"C'mon, that's it! You got this bro! Pump it man! That's it! One more! One more!"

"…seventy…FIVE!"

*KER-CLUNK*

"Yeah! That's my bro!"

*Huff* "Damn…that was…*huff*…harder…than I…*huff*…thought…it'd be…"

Eijiro and Tetsutetsu were working out together at UA's gym that was open for its students from morning till dusk with a few others from their classes. Having planned it out last night during dinner after learning about it in their school's handbook, the two had decided to go to the gym and work off all the calories they consumed. Being overheard, the two were asked by their peers if they could join them. Without hesitation, the manly duo accepted and were honestly happy that their classmates wanted to come with them and work out.

"You did it easier than I did though, Kiribro. Honestly, I'm kinda jealous."

"Maybe. But you did better on the leg curls, Tetsu,"

"Oh yea, that's right…ha, I got you beat on that!"

Chuckling, Eijiro finally stood up and stretched his arms. "Not for long buddy." Lowering his arms, he shook them a bit while glancing around at his classmates who were there with them.

Mashirao, Mezo, Rikido, Togaru, Neito and Hiryu were also there from the guys. Having split into teams of two that consisted of one from each class, each group was working on a different machine or setup. And they were split into such groups thanks to Ectoplasm since it was his turn to oversee the gym for this week.

"How many did we work on already?" asked Eijiro after looking around.

"I think this was our seventh one but not sure," replied Tetsutetsu with a shrug. "Sensei probably kept track. He needs to since he's the one making us rotate after making the groups."

Before Eijiro could respond back, Ectoplasm blew on his whistle that signaled them to rotate. The two of them left the bench press and headed to the cycling bikes, which were now available since the other duo left it to go to the next work out. "Honestly, this is a much better way to get a full body work out. I'm glad Ectoplasm-sensei suggested it," said Tetsutetsu.

"Me too. But, I gotta say that his insistence of making us train in groups of two and one from each class is pretty smart," remarked Eijiro. Reaching the cycling machine, he went on it with Tetsutetsu doing the same on the bike next to his. "It'll help us get closer and be better friends."

"Yeah," agreed Tetsutetsu. "Hopefully it'll help some of us get over our issues," added the steel quirk user, before glancing towards his blonde classmate and Eijiro also looked in the same direction.

Both saw Neito with a distinct expression on his face while working with Rikido on their squats.

"Man, he really hates my class. Any idea why?" asked Eijiro.

Tetsutetsu shook his head. "Why can't he just let things go? He should be like us. Or even better, like the girls. They're all buddy-buddy with each other."

After he said that, both of them shifted their gazes towards where the girls were at. Some of them had decided to join them as well after hearing about it who were Tsuyu, Itsuka, Kinoko, Pony and Reiko. Though Ectoplasm suggested following the guys routine as well, the girls wanted to focus on other aspects for today. The five were grouped close together while each was working on a different workout machine. Itsuka was on the leg rack. Tsuyu was on the bicep curls. Reiko was on the back machine. Pony was working on pull ups and Kinoko was on the assisted sit ups machine.

"Man, they're really giving it their all," commented Eijiro.

"Yeah, it's making me want to do better too! C'mon, bro! We can't be outdone by them or the other guys! Let's gooo!" encouraged Tetsutetsu before he started pedaling as if his life depended on it.

Eijiro grinned before copying his almost twin. "Alright bro!"

"Man, that place was awesome!"

"Yeah, and those five red heads were so beautiful!"

"You think they're sisters?"

"They did look alike."

"I know, right? We definitely have to go back."

"You don't have to tell me twice."

"The other five were pretty hot too."

"Yeah man. They also had a more mature vibe to them too."

"The blue haired one seemed like she was out of it though…"

"Don't care, she was still hot. Hopefully one of them doesn't have a boyfriend."

"Well, one of them was eyeing me a lot. The blonde short haired one. I bet I can get with her."

"Hey, she was eying me, not you!"

"Fuck off, she's mine dude!"

"All's fair in love and war!"

"PFFT, both of you got no chance at all."

"And you do?!"

"Maybe. But I can tell she wasn't eyeing either of you in a good way. More like she was thinking who the hell are these losers?! Hahaha!"

As they continued bickering with one another, the group of young males was making their way back to UA. Minoru, Hanta, Denki, Yosetsu, Sen, Kosei and Juzo had planned on waking up early and going out to have some breakfast together at a nearby café. Normally, none of them cared about a café enough to go to one, let alone wake up early for it and would've slept in instead.

However, one of them, a certain purple haired midget, had learned some interesting things about it last night during the dinner that Izuku had ordered for them. He learned that this particular café had just recently opened up, was close to UA and had its waitresses dressed up as maids. They also had a special for breakfast that if you ordered it, you'd also got entered into a raffle. If you won, you'd get to take a picture with a maid of your choice and keep the picture. Wanting to go, Minoru had informed his friends of it and they decided it was worth checking it out since many had left great reviews of the place's food and beautiful waitresses.

And so, the seven of them woke up early, got dressed up and made their way to the café. They arrived around 930am and the second they stepped inside, they felt as if they had died and gone to heaven. For the café was very spacious, lit up with soothing lights while pleasing music played in the background and they could already smell incredible food being prepared. But that wasn't it. The girls working there…all ten of them looked like absolutely stunning and greeted them with kind smiles on their faces. Five of them looked very similar to one another with red hair. There was also one blonde, one blue haired girl, another with orange, a dark green haired one and the final one had pink hair.

Before they knew it, they were seated in a large booth and each of them had ordered the breakfast special. Though none of them won, they enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, the delicious food and above all, the beautiful girls that waited on them. Finishing their food, they all ordered another special but yet again none of them won. They ended up staying at the café for a few hours before they realized the time. They reluctantly left the café while promising the maids that they'll come back and started heading back to UA with them bidding them farewell.

When they reached UA, they made for their dorm building when they caught sight of someone. And that someone was a certain new teacher.

"Hey, isn't that…"

"Yeah, it is."

"Damn. Even though she scares the shit outta me, I wouldn't mind getting punished by her if you know what I mean."

"You're a sick fuck, you know that?"

"Hmph. At least I got the balls to say what I like."

"No denying you got balls when you're head's full of them."

"Shut up!"

"Keep it down! You want her to hear us?!"

"Don't worry, she's walking away from us."

"Where do you think she's going?"

"No clue. C'mon, let's get back to the dorms. I need to sit down."

"Yeah, I think I ate too much."

Muttered agreements were made and the group of seven continued towards their dorms. Upon entering, they decided to split up to do their own thing for a while before meeting up again later on. Right now, they wanted to go relax and maybe even take a midday nap.

Sitting on one of the living room couches in the shared common area, Koji had his pet rabbit, Snowball, on his lap and petting her while hanging out with Yuga, Manga and Kojiro. With the exception of Yuga, Koji had found that Manga and Kojiro shared similar qualities with himself. The two were a little nervous and weren't as loud as others, allowing Koji to feel that he wasn't alone in dealing with his social anxiety.

Yuga was definitely more extroverted and louder than they were, but he was easy enough to get along with. Maybe it was because he seemed harmless and just felt the need to get attention every now and then with his somewhat weird mannerisms and phrases? At least that's what Koji thought.

Either way, Koji was glad that he was able to find more people he could befriend. He was happy to be able to befriend Mezo and now that he was able to make some more friends, Koji felt very lucky and grateful that things are going much better than they did for him in his previous schools. He didn't really have any problems per say, but he wasn't able to make any real friends due to his quiet nature and shy personality. They'd always end up leaving him after seeing how he behaved and he could usually see that coming from a long way off. But thankfully, he didn't see any red flags so far with his peers now.

During his time with them, Koji had learned of their hobbies, dreams, goals and they learned of his own. He also enjoyed sharing their thoughts of what classes would be like once they resumed. That led them to discuss what they could do to become stronger and better so they could be better prepared for the future. Wondering what they could do, it then made them think about what their classmates were capable of and if they could learn something from them.

And the one who had inspired them the most was none other than Izuku. The four of them began planning out how they could learn from him or better yet, have him help them in their training if he could…

Fumikage was seated on a chair and staring at the person in front of him.

Shihai was the person in front of him and he was staring right back at him.

Dark Shadow was hovering in the air beside the two while alternating his sight from one to the other every second.

After a few more minutes of silent staring, Dark Shadow had enough. "Oh my god, can you two emo-lords say something already?!"

"What?!" / "What?!" exclaimed both Fumikage and Shihai at the same time.

"I'm not an emo-lord!" / "I'm not an emo-lord!"

Dark Shadow somehow rolled his glowing yellow eyes and crossed his arms in front of himself. "Fine, how's 'Edgelord' then?" he asked sarcastically.

"I'm not that either!" / "I'm not that either!"

"Stop copying me!" / "Stop copying me!"

"Oh my god! Enough! You're both worse than those gothic emo-wannabes that blame everything on others!" chastised Dark Shadow.

Stupefied over the sentient dark creature's words, both Fumikage and Shihai went silent and couldn't remark back.

Seeing the two finally pacified, Dark Shadow let out a sigh. "Alright, now that you two have stopped playing 'stare into the abyss' with one another, how about the two of you actually get to know one another instead of just talking about 'abyss' stuff. Got it?"

The two self-proclaimed experts on all things darkness related stared at Dark Shadow for another few seconds before turning their gazes back towards one another.

"As annoying as my partner in life is, his words speak truth to this matter," commented Fumikage.

Shihai nodded. "Yes. We should share our knowledge with one another and use that to become stronger and more resistant of the coming reckoning."

Dark Shadow uncrossed his arms and hid his face within his claws while letting out a disgruntled sound over their behavior.

"I know and I understand."

"No, I'm okay for now."

"I'll let you know if need be."

"Okay. Thank you."

"Alright. Take care. Bye."

Hanging up her phone, Ibara took in a breath before exhaling it out. She had just finished talking with her sister in all but blood on the phone after speaking with her adoptive father. Father John had called, wanting to know if she was doing alright and if she needed anything. After assuring him that she was alright, Ibara ended up calling Natasha and the two conversed for a good while.

The red haired doctor had asked Ibara if she was experiencing any drawbacks with her quirk's effects having faded away. So far, Ibara hadn't but she was feeling a little uneasy due to a nightmare involving the villain who had tricked her and used her vines before waking up. Natasha had comforted her and let her know that nothing was her fault even when Ibara started letting out some sobs.

Thanks to Natasha, Ibara was able to pull herself together again. The devout follower however was warned by Natasha that since her quirk's effects had worn off, she might be a little more emotional today but to do her best to control it. Natasha also told her to let her know if things get very serious and she'd do her best to get to her as quickly as possible.

After talking about that for a bit, Ibara ended up talking to Natasha about her classmates and the dorms. That inevitably ended with them talking about a certain green haired young man. Ibara was certain that her older sister somehow knew that she was blushing up a storm after Natasha said some things about Izuku and that she shouldn't be afraid to follow what her heart says.

After ending their conversation, Ibara felt a little better. The nightmare she had before waking up had definitely shaken her. But thanks to her family she was able to understand that it wasn't her fault what happened and she was able to overcome it.

Feeling calmer after taking in a few breaths, Ibara got up from her bed. Walking over to her desk, she placed her phone on it and went inside her bathroom. Looking into the mirror, she found herself looking a little pale. But the thing that made her gaze become more sullen, was the faint leftover scaring around her neck from her own vines being used against her. Raising her right hand to her neck, Ibara felt some sort of emotion bubbling up from within. Grimacing over it, it was then that she also noticed the faint scaring around her wrist.

Lowering her right hand while simultaneously bringing up her left, she held the two in front of her body and looked at her wrists. She could see the scaring around her wrists too. Lowering her hands, she grasped the button down pajama shirt she was wearing and lifted it up from its hem. Around her torso was more scaring and after a moment, she let her shirt fall back down to cover it. Lowering her gaze, she lifted up her pajama pants and her ankles were revealed with more scaring around them. Letting her pants fall back down, she raised her gaze and looked into the mirror again.

The next second, her eyes began to water and before she knew it, tears were falling down her cheeks. She remembered what Recovery Girl had told her after she healed her. She was told that her wounds would more than likely leave behind scars because her vines had dug too deeply into her skin. She didn't think too much of it then or during the weekend. Her mind was focused more on her own quirk being used to kill someone and how she was almost violated in front of her classmates before being rescued at the last possible minute.

But now she was fully aware of this and she knew that she was stuck like this unless she had some sort of medical procedure to get rid of them. That she couldn't really do anytime soon since she knew that those types of things were expensive. She couldn't allow her family to pay for it any shape or form even though they could and would for her. No, she didn't want to get them involved because then they'd be even more worried for her.

After some more tears fell, Ibara closed her eyes while doing her best to wipe away the tear streaks on her face. Controlling herself the best she could, Ibara let out a long sigh. Deciding to take a shower, she took of her pajamas and got into the shower. Spending a good amount of time underneath the warm water, Ibara felt a little better when she finally exited. Drying her body first, she wrapped up her vines in a large towel and got dressed.

Once fully clothed, Ibara sat down at her desk with the Bible open to where she stopped before. Freeing her vine hair from the towel, she began the special process of drying it while continuing her reading of the Bible.

While doing all that, Ibara couldn't help but think of a certain someone. Especially when certain passages in the Bible reminded her of the one who arrived in time to save her. And all the while, she did her best to ignore the bad feeling she had, thinking that it was just because of her nightmare from before…

Walking around the inside perimeter of UA's grounds with his gaze held towards the distance in front of him, Shoto was lost in thought with his emotions on edge but still aware of his surroundings.

After waking up early in the morning even without an alarm set thanks to all the harsh training he was forced to go through, Shoto decided to get up and go for a walk. And that's exactly what he was doing for the past several hours inside the UA grounds.

As he walked around, he kept thinking about everything that's been happening to him. From the past till now and how unfair it all was. He never wanted to be the 'perfect' offspring to his so called father. He never wanted to go through all the harsh training he was forced to go through. He never wanted to be away from his siblings. He never wanted his older brother Toya to die. He never wanted his mother to snap and have a mental breakdown. He never wanted to be Endeavor's 'pawn' to become the number one hero and dethrone All Might. He never wanted to grow up into a shell of his former self. He never wanted to become bitter, angry, cold and hopeless. He never wanted to get married to some random girl that he didn't know or have feelings for. He never wanted to be so cruel to her or force her to do as he commanded. He never wanted his siblings to get caught in the crossfire between him and Endeavor's ambitions. He never wanted to threaten anyone just so he could do something. He never wanted any of it.

But that was the problem. He never wanted any of those things and yet, he allowed them all to happen because he failed in so many things. He wasn't strong enough. He wasn't brave enough. He wasn't thinking enough. He wasn't prepared enough. He wasn't determined enough.

In the end, he, Shoto Todoroki, just wasn't enough.

Even with that realization, Shoto also understood something else. And that was that he couldn't back down now for one reason and one reason only.

He had finally gotten a chance.

And that chance was like a small light of hope that was the only thing keeping the encroaching darkness from completely swallowing him up.

And that small light of hope was one Momo Yaoyorozu.

But that's all he saw her as. As attractive, intelligent and capable she might be, Shoto just didn't have any feelings for her. Even with the many forced outings they were made to go on together thanks to their families, Shoto never developed any feelings for her. She was just a key for him. A key to his freedom and that's it.

Shoto felt like a complete asshole for seeing her that way, but she seemed happy with the arrangement from how she behaved with him and hadn't complained about anything. And she had continued that way until her ordeal that happened a month before UA began.

It was from that point on that Shoto noticed the change in her. Being quiet and not talking much allowed him to learn how to be an observer and be able to pick up on tiny details that most would've missed. From that day on, Shoto felt as if his light of hope was becoming dimmer by the day and that made him become both horribly sullen and extremely angered over it all.

Those two feelings became more pronounced as time went on and the USJ incident, from what happened there and its aftermath, made him feel more complicated things than ever before. That didn't even include the first time he actually interacted with the one who saved Momo. After having a verbal confrontation that almost resulted into an actual fight with him, Shoto realized another thing.

That Izuku Midoriya was and is the biggest obstacle to his freedom.

HIs several hours walk around the UA grounds ended with him coming to that conclusion. He had to figure out a way to get him off the path to his freedom. Though Endeavor was breathing down his neck for a new 'perfect' one, Shoto believed that he still had a little bit of time left. Not only that, but he had some options he could use if need be.

Sudden loud grumbling from his stomach made Shoto stop and actually look down towards his abdomen. He hadn't heard it ever being that loud before in his life. I must really be hungry. Not surprising since I skipped out on dinner last night with everyone else.

His eyes narrowed with his hands clenching into fists as he thought about who ordered the food. Raising his gaze back up, Shoto began heading back to the dorms while coming to a decision. He'd have to keep his guard up from now on and do whatever was necessary to keep Izuku Midoriya from interfering with his affairs. I won't let him take my only hope for freedom, no matter what!

His stomach growled even louder and he looked down at his stomach once more with slightly wide eyes. As if to protest that he had stopped, Shoto's stomach growled loudly once again. First things first; I need sustenance…

Momo and Ochaco were in the taller girl's dorm. After waking up, Ochaco washed up, got dressed and headed to Momo's dorm. After talking with her for a bit, Ochaco had asked Momo to explain everything from the beginning. The heiress at first was reluctant but when her friend encouraged her to do so, she did just that and explained everything.

Momo began with her arranged marriage to Shoto. How at first she was happy about it due to his appearance, his potential to be powerful, his silent nature that was at first captivating, how he came from a long powerful line of people and how he seemed to be interested in her too.

Momo then told Ochaco about the first time she saw Izuku. How she had wanted to go the beach to check it out after moving into the neighborhood since she was accepted by UA through recommendation. How she was followed by a group of vile criminals who attacked her and wanted to do things to her. How Izuku showed up out of nowhere when she was on her last legs and effortlessly took them down. How he comforted her with his words and actions. How embarrassed he seemed to be due to her half revealing state and gave her his sweater to cover up with. How he left her at the hospital and telling her that she'd be better off not knowing him. How confused and distraught she was because of that.

After that, Momo explained how after that incident, her eyes were opened due to how her family reacted and how Shoto and his family reacted. How she noticed that Shoto didn't really care for her. How her parents only wanted the marriage to happen so they could raise the family name. And the sad part was that her mother, the one she was so close to when she was younger, was the one who was forcing her to stay in the agreement even when she told them she no longer wanted it.

"And you know the rest of what I've been going through for the most part since USJ started," said Momo as she looked down at the floor. "Being ostracized from the beginning thanks to Jirou and accidently hitting you…remaining near Todoroki due to him forcing it and not really having another option…the USJ incident…Midoriya saving us again…learning of what my Mother did to him when he helped Jirou deliver the piano to my house…seeing him with you and the other girls and how it made me feel…" Unable to continue anymore, Momo's eyes watered and tears started flowing down her cheeks.

Seeing her newly made friend start to cry, Ochaco felt sullen and wanted to do something to help her out. Moving closer, she hugged Momo and allowed the taller girl to cry against her shoulder. "I'm sorry Momo. I didn't know how bad things are for you. I never would've guessed. It's okay though. Just let it out. Let it all out."

Heeding her friend's words, Momo started sobbing harder as she hugged Ochaco back. It took some time but Momo began to calm down with her sobs becoming less and less. When she calmed down enough, she sniffed a couple times before separating from the brunette. "I-I apologize for that," she said in a low tone of voice.

"Hey, don't worry about it. We're friends and friends help each other. Especially when one of us needs a good cry," said Ochaco with a friendly smile.

Momo couldn't help but smile a little too. "Thank you Ochaco. Really. I appreciate you doing this for me."

"You're welcome, Momo. But you should go wash up. You got some snot on your face," teased Ochaco.

"Oh no!" Momo shot up off her bed and hurried to her bathroom while Ochaco laughed. "This is so embarrassing!" she said out loud while in the bathroom, which made her friend laugh even more. Cleaning herself up, Momo exited her bathroom with her cheeks flushing red from embarrassment. "I'm so sorry, please excuse me."

Ochaco laughed a little more before calming down and replied back to her. "Momo, you need to relax. It's not a big deal. It's not like no one ever had some boogers left over from crying ugly."

Momo's face turned redder as she hid her face in her hands. "Ochaco! Please!"

Laughing harder than before, Ochaco hugged her stomach and hunched over while sitting on the bed. "Momo…you're too easy to mess with! Hahaha!"

Raising her reddened gaze from her hands, Momo pouted as she watched her friend laughing. A sudden idea came to mind and she followed up on it. "Oh, hello Midoriya!"

Immediately the brunette stopped laughing as Ochaco's gaze snapped up so fast that she should've experienced whiplash. Wide eyes looked around as she hurriedly corrected her posture and smoothed out her clothes.

"Wow, Ochaco, you moved pretty fast," commented Momo.

Ochaco's gaze shifted onto Momo and found her new friend sporting a large grin on her face. A second later and she realized what had happened. Crossing her arms over her chest with a pout forming on her face, Ochaco looked away from her friend. "That was a cheap shot, Momo."

"And your attack on my ugly crying wasn't?"

"Oh c'mon, mine wasn't that bad! And it's not like I was just calling you out! Everyone who ugly cries has that happen to them! You however, went straight for the weak spot!"

"Hey, my crying isn't that ug-wait…Midoriya's your weak spot?"

Ochaco's eyes widened once more and she blushed heavily while still looking away from Momo. "It's…It's just…" Trailing off, Ochaco didn't finish what she wanted to say and it was mostly because she didn't know how to say it.

That's right…Ochaco was saved by Midoriya at the entrance exams…and she told me about the hospital visit…did…did something else happen between them at the hospital that she hasn't mentioned? Feeling a little bit of jealousy as well as another emotion start filling her, Momo realized she was beginning to resent Ochaco. Forcing those feelings aside because it wouldn't be fair to her newly made friend, who was also the only one standing by her side from the girls, Momo cleared her throat before she began speaking again. "I understand. And I'm sorry."

Hearing her apologize, Ochaco took in a breath and exhaled it out to calm down. Feeling her blush go away, Ochaco turned to look back at Momo. "Its okay and apology accepted since I know how you feel about Midoriya too," she said genuinely, making Momo redden a little. Standing up, Ochaco stretched a little before she looked at the time on her flip phone. "Oh wow, it's passed two thirty in the afternoon?" Putting her phone away, she looked at Momo. "Who knew time can fly by so fast. We should probably head down and get something to eat. See what the others are doing too."

"Yeah, that sounds like a plan," agreed Momo. "I'm gonna use the bathroom first so I'll meet up with you in a little bit downstairs."

"Okay, see ya there," replied Ochaco and she left the room.

Alone in her dorm, Momo moved to her desk and collapsed onto the chair in front of it. Holding her face within her hands, Momo let out stuttering breaths as she tried to control herself while thinking about what she just felt.

She couldn't believe it though. How could she? How could she even allow herself to feel those negative feelings towards her first actual female friend?

Momo realized something and whispered it out to herself. "I've got issues."

"…and that goes here. Perfect!"

Izuku had finally retrieved his notebooks from the boxes and had organized them onto the raised shelf that was on his desk. From his earliest ones, which were made with crayon and barely had any actual useful information about the heroes and their quirks, all the way to his most recent one, which was also the one that was burned and flung out the window a long time ago.

Looking at the display for a moment, Izuku thought of something. "I need to get some more notebooks since volume thirteen is full. How many do I need right now?" Izuku held his chin while thinking out loud. "I need one for my class. Probably a second for the other. Is that it?" He suddenly remembered Lady Nagant and several others, from students to staff members of UA that caught his eye. "A third for sure and possibly a fourth too. That should be enough for now. Yeah, four's good."

Confirming his choice and making a mental note to get some more notebooks, Izuku lowered his hand and turned around to face his remaining boxes. "Let's see…notebooks and books are done. Clothes are put away too. All that's left is some of the All Might merchandise I brought, the weights and a few other things. Hmm, I should be done with all that soon. What time is it though?" he asked himself. Picking up his phone from his desk, he tapped the button on the side to turn his screen on. "What the hell?! It's already passed three?!" Putting his phone back on his desk, Izuku shook his head. "I should've known this was gonna take longer than I thought." Letting out a sigh, Izuku figured he should get back to work and finish things up as quickly as possible.

*KNOCK*KNOCK*KNOCK*

But apparently that wasn't to be since someone was at his door. Izuku went to his door and peered through the peep hole. What? What's she doing here? Grasping the door handle, he opened it as he spoke. "Hey, Hagakure, did you need something?"

"Hi Mid..." Toru abruptly stopped talking while saying his name with her eyes widening with her blood rushing to her face, though no one would notice that happening.

"Hagakure? Are you okay?" asked Izuku, becoming genuinely worried over her behavior. He took a step closer to her while asking if she was alright once more.

His second question made Toru snap out of it and she noticed him coming closer to her now. Letting out a yelp that sounded like a squeak, Toru turned away from Izuku and began running towards the stairs while shouting back at him. "I JUST CAME TO TELL YOU TO JOIN US IN THE MAIN LIVING ROOM DOWNSTAIRS!"

"Uh, o-kay…" Dumbfounded over what just happened, Izuku didn't say anything else as he watched the floating clothes disappear via the stairs. Returning to his room, he wondered what that was all about. That is until he thought of changing his clothes that he realized why Toru acted that way. He had answered the door without putting his shirt back on. "Shit…"

Toru ran back to where everyone was waiting while the image of Izuku shirtless seemed to be seared into her brain. Oh my god, I could grate cheese on those abs...

"Hey, everyone! I hope I wasn't too late," greeted Izuku as he walked up to everyone.

At the sound of his voice, everyone turned to look at him while seated and relaxing on and around the large couches. "You're fine Midoriya. Most of us just got here too," replied Tetsutetsu.

"Cool. So, what's going on?" asked Izuku.

"Well, we thought it would be good to get everyone together again and share a little bit about ourselves," informed Nirengeki.

"Sure, sounds good to me," said Izuku as he looked for a place to sit and quickly found one in between two others. Sitting next to Mezo and Hiryu, who nodded at him, the green haired young man noticed something else after looking around a bit. "Todoroki's not joining us?"

His question made Momo blink a few times and made her wonder why he was asking about her fiancé. Ochaco and a couple other girls too glanced at the heiress.

"Unfortunately he is not. He was quite rude when I asked him. How could anyone slam the door in front of someone else's face?" revealed Tenya with obvious dislike over what he experienced.

Some people shrugged while others just glanced at one another. Neito crossed his arms and leaned back in his seat on the couch. "Well, enough about him. How are we doing this and who's starting? The quicker we get this done, the quicker I don't have to deal with some of you."

"Do you ever stop being annoying?" asked Hiryu and Neito answered with a sharp glare at him. Rolling his eyes, Hiryu redirected his attention to the rest. "Anyways, I think we should just go around in turn and formally introduce ourselves, our quirk, what it can do and if you want, one thing about yourself. I'll go first," suggested Hiryu before he stood up.

Izuku listened to each of his fellow first years as they introduced themselves and gave some information about their quirks and themselves. Izuku thought he'd go after Hiryu but the person next to him, Jurota, stood up immediately as soon as Hiryu sat back down and the introductions continued going around in that direction. Realizing that he'd end up being the last one, Izuku didn't mind at all especially since he was learning about so many new and interesting quirks. He controlled himself for the time being to not ask more than one question if he really had to know something so others could talk and so things didn't take too long.

Even with restricting himself on that, Izuku was still enjoying what was going on. And some of the ones he heard about were absolutely fascinating and his mind was in overdrive, thinking about all the potential they have. Creating things from your own body's lipids? Manifesting actual things to happen just by their sound? Able to split yourself apart, control your body parts, float and regenerate? The ability to submerge within darkness itself and travel through it? Having a sentient entity live within your own body that you could somewhat control? Able to communicate with any and all animals? Able to completely negate gravity from anything? Able to copy any emitter type of quirk for five minutes by just touching someone else? And all the other incredible quirks that he learned about, Izuku felt as if he had hit the jackpot.

Damn it, I really wish I had a notebook with me right now! Izuku's right hand fingers were twitching inside their individual cast wrappings. He did his best to remember everyone's information so he could note them down when he finally got some notebooks.

Finally, after everyone else went, it was his turn and Izuku stood up. "Hey, so, my name is Izuku Midoriya and my quirk is Aura, which is basically using energy I constantly accumulate over time to increase my strength, speed, endurance and a few other things for a short period. But I'm still getting used to it and if I use too much at once, I can seriously hurt myself. Also, I like doing quirk analysis as a hobby." Izuku barely sat back down when someone spoke up.

"Why does your quirk hurt you?" asked Tsuyu bluntly.

Izuku faced her before he answered back. "Well, like I said, I'm still getting used to my quirk and since it enhances everything when I use it, it puts a good amount of stress on my body."

"Wait, is that why you literally had blood burst out of your body?!" asked Setsuna in shock, voicing what was on many of their minds'.

Facing her now, Izuku rubbed the back of his head as he answered. "Well, yes and no. I went overboard fighting that Nomu and went way beyond the limits of what I could handle with my quirk right now and when I do, I get extreme backlash from it."

"So what's your limit now and how 'overboard' are we talking here?" asked Mashirao.

Cupping his chin with his left hand in a thinking pose while looking down, Izuku thought for a bit before he answered. "Last time I checked, my limit was at five percent of my maximum and I went beyond one hundred during my fight with Nomu and…" Trailing off since he sensed the room becoming eerily silent, Izuku raised his gaze and found all of his peers looking at him with dumbfounded expressions. "W-What?"

"Dude, you held up a building's ceiling with just five percent of your quirk?!" asked Eijiro in a stunned whisper.

His cheeks reddening, Izuku did his best to wave that off. "I-It's really not that big o-of a deal…"

"Like hell it's not!" snapped Mina suddenly, her black and orange eyes locked onto Izuku with her cheeks flushed purple. "You were holding up that ceiling as if it was the easiest thing in the world! And you were barely trying?!"

His reddened cheeks turned crimson as Mina's words seemed to hit everyone and Izuku was starting to become really flustered and embarrassed. Sure, he was taught to take things in stride whenever possible but this was a little much in his mind. Composing himself the best he could, he tried to do some damage control so to speak. "Trust me, it really wasn't easy and I was straining myself to keep it up. I barely made it out of there before it collapsed…"

"Dude, you're so freakin manly!" exclaimed Tetsutetsu with what looked like stars in his eyes as he looked at Izuku.

"Wait, hold up!" Everyone looked at Rikido before he continued. "What were those weird, black, webbing or whatever it was?"

"I also would like to know how you were able to manifest such an elaborate use of darkness?" asked Fumikage.

"What are you talking about?" asked Neito before Izuku could answer.

"Oh, you guys don't know," remarked Toru and she started explaining. "Midoriya stopped Bakugo from going postal with these weird black things that appeared from his arm!"

"What?!"

"Dude, I was wondering what that was…"

"Do you have multiple quirks?"

"No, no, no!" replied Izuku while waving his left hand in front of him erratically, making some of them chuckle.

"So what was it?" asked Kyoka.

Taking in a breath, Izuku clarified. "Those black, energy tendrils are a new move I was working on for the longest time. I was trying to come up with a long distance move with my energy and came up with that. I call it 'Blackwhip'."

"Blackwhip, huh?" repeated Setsuna, getting a mad grin on her face. "I bet you-OOUF!"

Itsuka had elbowed her best friend, rather hard this time, against her side. "Don't you dare," said the red head with narrowed eyes.

Setsuna glared right back at her while messaging her side with her hand. "Bitch! That one actually hurt!" she whined while their interaction caused some to laugh and shake their heads.

"Um, Midoriya?"

His attention moving onto the black haired girl, Izuku felt a little nervous due to the two not having a proper conversation about what happened between yesterday. But he steeled himself. "Yes? What is it, Yaoyorozu-san?"

"You said that your quirk is constantly gathering energy, correct?"

"Yeah, it is."

"Does that mean that your five percent now would be different to the five percent you use in the future? If that's the case, would you still be able to control your quirk as time goes on?" she asked him with noticeable worry in her tone of voice.

Her questions made everyone realize the consequence of such a quirk. Many of them had expressions of concern form on their faces with several of the girls feeling very worried for the green haired young man.

Izuku felt touched at her concern. "Thank you for being worried but you don't have to be. My quirk takes a while for it to…grow…so to speak and I've finally learned how to adjust my percentage of how much I use recently, so everything will be alright." He gave her a small but warm smile that made Momo's cheeks flush with color but she gave a nod in reply.

"What do you mean by that? When did you finally learn to adjust it?" asked Hanta.

Realizing he let that slip, Izuku mentally face palmed but decided to just go with the truth. "Well, it's only been about a month or so to be honest." Multiple cries of shock or surprise were let out and Izuku winced at the sharp tones let out by the girls.

But before anyone could say anything else, a certain blonde haired person spoke up. "Oh please! Are you telling me that you had no control over your quirk for almost your whole life and just barely got a hold of it in time to get into UA? And you're able to go beyond your limits and just suffer minor injuries? Sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me," commented Neito.

Crossing his arms, he glared at Izuku while ignoring some of the looks being given to him, which were mostly from the girls. "Just tell everyone the truth already. You're just another attention seeking asshole who let his quirk get to his head! You think you're better than all of us and now you're trying to make it seem like you had it rough when you were given everything on a silver platter! I hate people like you and your stupid act is seen from miles away! So just admit it already and…"

"I was quirkless."

Three words. All it took was three words and Neito's continuous verbal assault stopped dead in its tracks with his eyes widening to comical degree and everyone else wasn't far from that state either. "W-What?" whispered Neito but it was heard easily in the dead silence of the area.

Izuku let out a sigh. "For most of my life, I was considered quirkless. I even have the joint in my pinkie toe that is found in almost all quirkless people…"

"B-But then…how…"

"It was two years ago when it happened," continued Izuku, with everyone listening impatiently. "There was an incident with a slime villain who took someone hostage…"

Multiple people commented that they remembered that and one of them suddenly thought of something. "The hostage was you?!" cried Ibara.

Izuku shook his head. "No. It was someone I used to know though. But long story short, I had gotten involved in that to try and help. All Might saved us both at the last second and that was when my mentor found me. He said he saw a spark within me and helped me realize that. It was thanks to him and several others that I was able to understand what my quirk is."

Taking a breather, Izuku continued explaining with everyone hanging onto every word he said. "I learned that my quirk was basically like a battery. And it took a long time for it to become energized enough for me actually use it. And until that time, I was considered quirkless. And you all know how quirkless people are treated in society…"

"N-No…"

"You're sa-saying…"

"Midoriya…"

Unable to look at some of his peers who he noticed had started to have watery eyes, Izuku locked his gaze onto Neito's who still looked shell-shocked. "I never have and never will look down on anyone because I know what it's like to be treated like I don't matter. I don't think that I'm better than anyone. I went through a lot of crap and abuse while growing up. My childhood friend even turned his back on me and became my daily tormentor and bully. It was only because of my Mother that I kept going. And it was only when my mentor found me two years ago and helped me fix things with his close group of friends that I was able to slowly turn my life around."

No one said anything and everyone was silent. Izuku could tell that many of his peers seemed to be at a loss of what to say. And some still seemed to be conflicted and along with Neito, several didn't seem to believe him.

Not wanting to keep talking about this for much longer, Izuku decided to wrap things up. "Being able to finally have a quirk and attending UA with you all is like a dream come true for me. But believe me when I say that my life was no picnic and the backlash from my quirk isn't minor either." Izuku raised his right arm that was completely covered in a cast from above his elbow all the way down to this finger tips as his proof.

Waiting a few seconds, Izuku stood up and took a couple steps away from everyone since he didn't want to continue anymore. But then he suddenly remembered something that he was taught by his mentors and Izuku decided to hammer it home of what he was saying. "Oh, and if you still don't believe me, I honestly don't care. I'm done chasing after people who don't care, can't change, don't try to understand anything and I'm definitely done with trying to make people believe me. But..."

Using his left hand, he took off his shirt and revealed his back to them. Many became shocked over him suddenly taking off his shirt with all the girls blushing from his action. After getting over their shock however, they all started noticing something. Or some things, rather that two girls had noticed before. His back had multiple faint scars along with a circular looking one near the bottom right. Izuku turned around to face them all with his shirt in his left hand to reveal the scars on the front of his body. Old cuts. Old burns. The circular patch of ruined skin on the side of his abdomen.

Noticing the blushing yet horrorstruck expressions on the girls' faces, Izuku also noticed the disbelief plastered all over the guys' faces. Knowing he got his point across, Izuku's grip on his shirt tightened as he said his final words with his gaze locked onto Neito's. "This and my actions at the USJ are my proof. What's yours?"

Izuku waited a handful of seconds for a response even though he doubted he'd get one. Seeing that Neito had nothing to say and no one else said anything, Izuku turned around and made his way back to his dorm.

After Izuku left, everyone started turning their gaze back towards the one who pushed Izuku to reveal some of his past.

Neito could only remain silent due to all the glares being directed at him from both the girls and most of the guys. Shit...I fucked up, didn't it?

Author's Notes - So how hard do you think Neito just shoved his own foot into his mouth? Ha, hope you all enjoyed it and let me know what you thought!

Also, the next chapter, chapter 27, is already up for pa tre on members! I'd really appreciate it if you can become a member as I'm trying to become a full time writer. I'm not asking for much either so if you can, that'll be awesome and I'll be very appreciative of it. If not, that's fine. You'll just have to wait longer to read the newer chapters.

However, it's gonna be the only way to read my all original story that's gonna be posted up there soon along with some member exclusive goodies. I know I've mentioned it before a few times, but I've made some progress on it and some stuff is gonna be posted up soon. To become a member, just add /silentplayermc03 to the end of pa tre on's website!

Hope all is well, that I hear from you all so leave a review, fav and follow! Thanks in advance and take care!

IMPORTANT NEWS!

I've started working on "The Blue Spirit" again and editing for the next chapter, 019, has been completed and uploaded on Pa tre on. ALSO! The very first chapter for "Tale of the Forsaken" has been done and uploaded onto that as well. AND! I've put up some concept drawings of the all original story's world (I can't draw to save my life, so just bear with me on that).

I wanted to give everyone an update and let you know that progress is being made and now that my mind is working again, I'm juggling several projects at once so stay tuned! And like I mentioned above, if you can, please become a pa tre on member as every little bit helps and I'd much rather write full time and get stories out to you all.

ONE MORE THING! I wanted to say thank you to all my supporters & readers. And a BIG shout out to all those who are pa tre on supporters. You don't know how much it helps to keep going when you know that they're are people supporting you and being there for you. And those who have donated, you've helped me keep my lights on and take care of things so I can keep writing. So from the bottom of my heart, I just want to say THANK YOU!

Hope you're all doing well and take care!
