"It's been Quiet Out There,For a Couple of Hours," Liam mentioned as He sat There,Leaning against the Door,With Zuma laying at his Side.
"You're not,Seriously,Saying,What I think You're Saying,Are You?" Skye questioned,Concerningly,as She laid,On the Floor,Near the Fireplace,With Chase,Lying There,Beside Her,Both Waiting for Their Turns to keep Watch.
"If It's about Going Back Out There,Then,Yes," Liam informed,Quietly.
"Are You Serious? We almost just lost You Earlier,And,You're Already going Back Out There!! Don't You Ever Learn?" Skye lashed Out,Angrily,as She stood Up,Abruptly,And,Bared Her Teeth,While,She yelled at Him.
"Skye,He's,Just Trying to-" Chase tried to Say to Her.
"No,Don't Talk to Me! Not after What You pulled Earlier,Chase,You should've been on My Side,I was counting on You," Skye shouted as She turned Her Attention,From Liam to Chase,Quickly,Lashing Out at Him,As Well.
"Skye," Chase called,Softly.
"Don't!" Skye commanded as She walked Off,Walking Up the Stairs to the Second Floor of the Cabin.
"Skye,Wait," Liam requested as He sat Up,And,Walked Up the Stairs to Go and Talk to Her.
"Congwats,Chase. Congwats,Now,She hates You," Zuma instigated as He,Still,Laid There,Against the Door,Looking at Chase with a Smirk.
"Pfft,I Bet,You're just loving This," Chase commented.
"Most of It. Yeah," Zuma admitted,as He laid There,With his Smug Grin.
"Heh,Go Figure," Chase muttered to Himself.
Suddenly.
The Monster let Out a Deafening Roar,From,Right Outside the Cabin Door as Zuma and Chase heard It,And,Shot Up in Alarm.
"It's Back," Chase announced,In Terror.
"No,Duh," Zuma added, as He rolled his Eyes,In Annoyance.
Meanwhile.
Skye was in One of the Bedrooms,Laying Down on the Ground,Staring at Floor,With a Sad Look on her Face.
That was When.
Liam knocked on the Door,Ever,So Slightly.
"Can I Come In?" Liam asked,Politely.
"Fine," Skye replied as She didn't,Even,Turn to look at Him,Just Staying There Laying Down.
Liam walked,Into the Room,And,Sat Down,At Her Side,To Talk to Her.
"So,Why are You So Angry?" Liam wondered as He sat There,Waiting for Her to Answer.
"I think,You Know Why,I am Angry," Skye retorted,Carelessly.
"Yeah,But,I want to hear It from You," Liam pointed Out as He turned to look at Her.
"You Almost Died," Skye notified,Sitting Upright,as Her Eyes teared Up,The Minute,She started talking about It.
"But,I didn't," Liam warned.
"But,You could've, Then What?" Skye shot Back as Her Tears began to run Down Her Cheeks,The More,She talked about It.
"Then,It would be Up to You Guys," Liam said.
"And,How do You Think We would have felt about That?" Skye queried,as She turned to look at Him Back.
Liam,Then,Lowered his Head,In Regret,Now,Seeing,What She was Getting At,Realizing,Why She was So Upset.
"Yeah,Why don't You think about That? Think about,What We were Supposed to do if We lost You There,Or if We lost You Here," Skye explained,Firmly,as She wiped Away Her Tears.
"Guys! Get Down Here,Quickly," Chase ordered,From Downstairs,In a Panicked Tone.
Liam and Skye,Hearing Chase's Order,Both stood Up,And,Ran Back Downstairs,To See,What was going On.
The Minute,That,They ran Down the Stairs,Skye and Liam saw Chase and Zuma,With Their Bodies leaning,Against the Door,Both of Them,Trying to keep the Monster,From Getting Inside.
"Wh-When did It get Back?" Liam wondered as Him and Skye ran to the Door,To Help Them keep It Shut.
"The Minute,That,You Guys Left," Chase answered as He struggled to keep his Footing,While,He leaned against the Cabin Door.
"Almost like It was Waiting for It," Zuma brought Up as He stood There,Pushing his Shoulder,Into the Door,To Keep It Shut.
Liam and Skye,Then,Pushed Their Bodies,Against the Door,Firmly,as They All used All of Their Strength to keep the Door Closed.
The Monster,From Outside,Shrieked as It,Repeatedly,Rammed Its Side,Into the Door.
The Creature Growled as It,Rammed and Rammed Itself,Into the Door,Trying Everything It could to get Inside.
The Four of Them kept Their Bodies pressed Up against the Door,Using Their Force to keep It Shut.
The Thing stopped Ramming,In to the Door,Seeing the Door,Still Shut and Standing,as It began to Growl,Slowly,Looking Closely,At the Door,To Observe It.
"I-It stopped," Zuma pointed Out.
"But,It hasn't Left,Zuma," Skye informed.
"Chase,Check to See if the Windows are Secure! Zuma,Check the Windows Upstairs!" Liam demanded,Taking Charge of the Situation,as He ordered Both Pups to check for Vulnerabilities in the Structure,While,Him and Skye stayed Against the Door,So,They could prevent It from Using Those to get Inside.
"On It," Chase responded,Respectfully,as He ran,Over to the Windows,That,Were There,Downstairs.
"You got It,Wiam," Zuma replied,as He moved Away,From the Door,And,Took Off,Running Up the Stairs,To Check the Ones Up There.
"I'll see if This Place has a Basement,And,If So,That It is Secure," Skye declared, as She ran Off,Deeper in to the Cabin,With Her Nose to the Ground,Sniffing for a Possible Basement.
"Good Idea,Skye,I'll stay Here at the Door," Liam congratulated,Telling Her,Where He was gonna be,as He watched Her run Off,To Go Looking.
The Second,That,Liam was left,By Himself,He put his Ear to the Door,To Listen to,What the Thing was doing.
Liam listened to the Monster's Growls as It Observed the Door,Closely,Before,It Stopped,And,Took Off,To the Other Side of the Property.
"Chase,I need a Status on Those Windows,It's going to Try to get In That Way," Liam notified.
"Windows Down Here are All Secure,They're All Already Boarded Up," Chase announced.
"Really? All of Them?" Liam questioned,In a Confused Tone,Finding It to be Quite Odd,That,They were All Already Boarded Up.
"Yeah, Is That Bad?" Chase answered as He,Then,Looked at Liam with a Confused Face,Asking Him if It was a Bad Thing,That,All were.
"No,But,It is Odd,Almost like Someone has been Here Before,And,Encountered This Thing," Liam explained.
"Maybe,Someone did,But,They didn't Survive," Chase guessed.
"If That's the Case,Then,It doesn't look Good for Us," Liam stated,Worriedly.
"Skye,Have You found a Basement?" Chase mentioned.
"No,I don't see Anything,It looks All Clear," Skye notified as She started to Walk Back Over to Them,Just Barely Missing the Trap Door to the Basement,Thinking,That,There wasn't One,Since,The Door was Hidden Under the Stairs.
"What about the Windows Upstairs?" Liam shouted to Zuma.
That was When.
The Three of Them heard Zuma Scream Out,In Fear,From Upstairs.
"Zuma!!!" Skye,Chase and Liam called Out as They All took Off,Away from the Door,Running Up the Stairs,To Go and Check Up on Him.
Simultaneously.
At the Lookout.
Everest and Rex were,Trying to stop the Two of Them,From Continuing to Bicker Back and Forth.
"Guys,Shouldn't We focus on Getting Out of Here,Instead of being at Each Other's Throats?" Rex reminded,Trying to get the Two of Their's Attention,So,They could,Finally,Leave the Basement.
"GUYS!!!!!" Everest yelled Out to Both of Them,Catching Both of Their Attention as The Two turned to Look at Everest.
"Why don't We stop Bickering,And,Finally,Leave This Stupid Basement?" Everest suggested.
"But,I thought,You wanted Us to take That Secret Passageway," Tracker brought Up.
"Well,While,You Two were Bickering with Each Other,Rex found a Ventilation Shaft,That is Hidden from the Lightning's Sight,Since It's So Low," Everest explained.
"All We need to do is find Someone to Go First,So,They could hold the Door to the Exit of the Shaft,For the Rest of Us," Rex elucidated.
"So, Who wants to Go First?" Everest interrogated,With a Bright Smile.
"Not It!!" Everest,Marshall and Rex All shouted,In Unison,Pretty Much saying,That,It was Tracker,Who was going to do It.
"Aw,Man," Tracker whispered,In Disappointment,Realizing,That,He was going to be the One,To do Exactly,What Rex and Everest had Just Said,All By Himself.
