Back at the Lookout.

In the Basement.

Marshall kicked Open the Door to the Ventilation Shaft,With his Back Paws,as He,Then,Stepped Out of the Way of Tracker.

"After You,Tracker," Marshall commented,Instigatingly,With a Smug Smile on his Face,Liking the Fact,That,He was going to be Down There,Practically,Alone with Everest.

Tracker Frowned as He narrowed his Eyes at Marshall,And,Started to Walk,Into the Shaft,Before,Stopping,For a Second,Getting an Idea.

"Everest!" Tracker called,Confidently.

"Yes,Tracker," Everest replied.

"Would You,At Least,Like to Come In,After Me,Just,Cause,You Know,Strength in Numbers?" Tracker asked,Happily.

"Sure,I could do That," Everest accepted as She walked,Towards the Ventilation Shaft,To Follow Him.

Marshall Gasped,In Surprise,Realizing,What Tracker had,Just Did,as He watched Everest walked,Into the Shaft,As Well,Both about to leave just Marshall and Rex There,Together.

"But,What about Me?" Marshall wondered,Disappointedly.

"You've got Rex,Marshall,You should be Good," Everest reminded,Uncomfortably,as Her and Tracker walked Forward,Deeper in to the Ventilation Shaft.

Marshall Huffed,In Frustration,as He sat Down,On the Ground,And,Waited for Them to Warn Them,When They were Ready for Marshall and Rex to Come into the Shaft.

In the Ventilation Shaft.

Tracker and Everest crawled,On Their Bellies,Through the Shaft,Heading towards the Next Level,So,They could get to the Next Floor,And,Find Another Way to lead Up to the Observatory,To save Ryder.

"So,Um,Everest," Tracker stuttered as He led the Way,Through the Shaft.

"Yes,Tracker," Everest answered,With a Raised Eyebrow.

"H-Have You Ever liked Another Pup,That was,You know,Part of Our Current Team?" Tracker asked,Nervously.

"Uh,Maybe,One Specific Pup. Why?" Everest questioned,In a Weirded Out Tone.

"N-No Reason,Just Wondering," Tracker lied,With a Slight Blush heating his Cheeks,as He,Then,Sped Up,His Crawling,Crawling More Ahead of Her,To Get Out of Sight,Before,She saw Him Blushing.

"Oh-kay," Everest whispered to Herself,as She watched Him Go Ahead,Quickly,Getting Completely Out of Her Line of Sight.

Back on the Mysterious Island.

Chase,Zuma,Skye and Liam were All Spread Out,Across the Cabin,Looking for Anything,That,Lead to the Underground.

"Where the Heck did It find Something?" Liam queried,as He bent Down,And,Looked Under the Couch,To See if It had found Something There.

"I'm not Sure,But,We need to find It Soon,Before,It is Too Late," Chase pointed Out,as He stood on his Hind Legs,With his Ears leaned,Against the Wall of the Cabin.

"No Kidding,Chase," Zuma retorted,Firmly,From the Dining Room,Hearing Chase point Out the Obvious in his Opinion,as He added his Two Cents.

"I'm going to Go and Check on Skye," Chase mentioned as He walked Away,From the Wall,Towards the Direction,That,Skye was In.

"Nice Try,Chase,But,I Said,That,I was going to do That,Long before You did," Zuma informed.

"So?" Chase shot Back.

"It means,That,I am going to do It," Zuma elucidated.

"Guys,Not Now,We need to Focus on,What That Thing,Just Found,Or,Otherwise,No One is going to be Around,To Fight about Anyone," Liam explained.

"Oh No," Skye announced,Fearfully.

Liam,Chase and Zuma,Hearing Her say It,Ran Over to Her,To See,Why,She was Saying It.

"What is It,Skye?" Chase and Zuma asked,At the Same Time,Concernedly,as They,Then,Turned Back to Each Other,And,Glared.

"Pfft,You've gotta be Kidding Me," Skye whispered,In an Annoyed Tone.

"Welcome to My World,I've been giving Both of Them Advice,Since I found Out,That,They had Their Crushes,Didn't Know,They were Both falling for You,Till Later,Though,When I put Two and Two Together," Liam said.

"So,What did You find,Skye?" Chase wondered,Worriedly.

"I think,I found That Basement,That,I was tasked with Finding Earlier," Skye replied,as She stood at the Floor,Where a Small Door to a Basement sat.

"Don't Worry,Skye,It's Okay,You're not Perfect," Chase reassured,Softly,as He put his Paw on Her Shoulder.

Zuma watched Chase,Put his Paw on Her Shoulder,And,Stand beside Her,as He Growled,Feeling Jealous,Just looking at,How Close the Two of Them were.

"Th-Thanks,Chase," Skye thanked,With a Slight Smile.

"Hmm,It's Totally Possible,That,This was,What That Creature found," Liam mentioned as He walked Up to the Basement Door,Before,Kneeling Down,And,Opening It.

"Whoa! What are You doing,Wiam?" Zuma questioned,Suspiciously,Not liking,What He was Seeing Liam do.

"Somebody is going to have to see if It is Down There,Cause,If It's not,We'll be Assuming Something,And,Then,It could get Us,From a Whole Other Area," Liam explained.

"I c-could G-Go," Rocky suggested,From the Living Room,as He,Laid There,On the Couch,Still,Bleeding Out,Pretty Heavily.

"Oh,Well,That's a No," Liam responded,Firmly,Making It Clear,That,Rocky wasn't going.

"Liam,You shouldn't be the One to Go,Either,You're the only One,Who could Carry Any Injured Pup,Right Now,Not to mention,You're the One,Leading Us through This,Someone Else should Go," Skye warned.

"Skye's Right,I'll Go,I'm not needed as Much," Chase admitted,Volunteering to be the One to Go Down,And,Check It.

"Thank You," Skye mouthed to Chase,Thanking Him for taking Her Side,And,Volunteering to Go,Instead of Liam.

"Ch-Chase,Are You Sure?" Liam asked,Concernedly.

"I'm Sure," Chase voiced,as He stood Firm and Proud,Ready to Go,Into the Basement,And,Check for Them.

"Ah! Nice Try,Chase,But,I'm going," Zuma intercepted.

"Zuma,It's Okay,I'll be Fine," Chase notified,Thinking,That was,The Reason,Why,He was Interrupting.

"I'm not Saying That,Because of You,I know,What,You're,Trying to do,Chase,You're,Attempting to get More Points with Skye,By Risking your Life,Well,I don't think So," Zuma explained.

"Zuma,Skye and Liam were Right,We're in the Middle of a Crisis,And,All We're,Thinking about is,Arguing over a Pretty Girl Pup,We need to keep focused on the Problem,At Hand," Chase elucidated,Trying to get Him to listen to Reason,Realizing,What They were doing Wrong,And,Attempting to Correct It.

"I don't think So,Chase,I'm not Stupid,I know,What You are doing,I know,You're,Trying to Woo Her," Zuma accused,Beginning to bare his Teeth,At Chase,While,He Explained to Him,as He walked Over to the Front of the Entrance to the Basement.

"Zuma,That's not,What,I'm doing,I am,Trying to-" Chase tried to Say.

However.

Zuma,Quickly,Cut Him Off,To Continue On.

"I'm going in There,Chase,Whether You like It,Or Not!" Zuma lashed Out,Angrily.

"Zuma,You might wanna get Away from-" Liam tried to Warn,But,Zuma cut Him Off,As Well.

"Shut Up,Liam! You're not Helping! I'm being the Hero,Here,And,Then,Skye will like Me!" Zuma yelled,Furiously.

That was When.

Suddenly.

The Creature leaped Out of the Basement Door Way,Opened Its Mouth,And,Snapped Them Shut,On Zuma's Neck,Pulling Him,Into the Basement,To Begin Eating Him.

Liam,Chase and Skye,All Screamed Out,In Terror as They watched the Creature,Quickly,Leap Out,And,Snatch Zuma.

"Zuma!" They called Out,In Unison.

Zuma Screamed Out,In Pain and Agony,as He got dragged Down,Into the Basement,To be Finished Off.

A Few Seconds,Afterwards.

The Creature came Running Back Up the Basement Stairs,To Grab Another One of Them.

"Liam! Close It!" Chase commanded.

"Wait,But,What about Zuma?" Skye interrogated,Wanting to Go and Get Zuma,Before,Just leaving Him Down There.

"Skye,If We don't Close Those Doors,None of Us are gonna be Around to Help Him," Chase informed.

"But-" Skye was About to Say.

However.

Liam Screamed Out,In Alarm,Seeing the Creature,About to leave the Basement,as He and Chase shut the Doors to the Basement,Closing It on the Creature's Face,Before,Jumping onto the Doors,To make Sure,They stayed Closed.

"Y-You Guys left Him?" Skye responded,In a Horrified Tone,Not believing,What the Two had just did.

Back at the Lookout.

In the Ventilation Shaft.

Tracker and Everest continued Crawling on Their Bellies,Through the Shaft,Looking for the Exit Door to the Next Floor.

"Finally,I caught Up with You," Everest declared,Crawling through the Shaft,Very Quickly,Struggling to keep Up.

"Oops,Uh,I Guess,I went A Little Too Far,Huh?" Tracker answered,Nervously,Not really knowing What to Say to Her,as He,Just Said,What was at the Top of his Head.

Everest opened Her Mouth to Say Something Else.

When Tracker and Everest heard the Alive Lightning's Voice.

"Hello-o-o-o" The Lightning shouted,Into the Shaft,Sounding not Very Far to Tracker and Everest,Considering the Lightning was,Now,In the Shaft,As Well.

"Uh,Oh," Tracker and Everest whispered,In Unison,as They Both tried to Think of,What to do Next.

Cause,If the Lightning found Them,At That Exact Moment,Tracker and Everest would,Surely Die.
