"Marshall! Skye! Tracker! Uh,The Other Guy!" The Lightning called Out,as It floated,Through the Air,Looking for Any Sight of Them.
Rex,Who was,Currently,Hiding Underneath the Large TV,That,Sat in the Lobby,Rolled his Eyes,In Frustration.
"Uh! Is My Name Really That Forgettable,Seriously?" Rex questioned,In an Annoyed Tone.
"Come Out,Come Out,Wherever You are," The Lightning whispered as It floated Past,Where Rex was Hiding,Towards Where the Other Three were Hiding.
"Aw,Great,It's coming towards Us," Marshall complained.
"No Thanks to You," Tracker added.
"You Sure,That,You shouldn't be blaming Yourself?" Marshall questioned.
"Ha! Yeah,I'm Sure,Considering,The Fact,That,You and Rex were supposed to Wait Back Down in the Basement,Until,We told You,That,It was Safe," Tracker retorted.
"Yeah,Well,Since When did We listen to You?" Marshall shot back.
"Since,We were a Team,Isn't That What We're supposed to be?" Tracker reminded.
"Guys! Be Quiet! It is going to hear You," Everest informed.
"Blame Him," Tracker and Marshall ordered,In Unison,Each pointing to the Other One,Not taking Responsibility for Their Actions.
"Uh,What has gotten into You Two? Why have You Guys been at Each Other's Throats?" Everest interrogated,Quietly,With a Raised Eyebrow,as the Lightning floated,Closer to Their Hiding Spot.
"Oh,It's,N-Nothing," Tracker lied.
"Yeah,What He said," Marshall commented.
"Really? The One Time,You Two agree,And,It's lying to Me," Everest complained.
"I'm not," Tracker and Marshall answered,At the Same Time,as the Lightning,Now,Floated,Right Next to Their Hiding Spot.
"Come On,Pups,I know,You're around Here Somewhere," The Lightning announced,as It got Ready to Float,To Their Hiding Place,So,It could see if They were There.
All Three Pups remained Silent and Stood Still,as They saw It,About to find Them,Quickly,Closing Their Eyes,In Fear.
In the Exact Second,That,It was going to find Them,The Lighting,Then,Heard Another Voice coming,From Behind Him.
"Hey! Look at Me,Lighting,I'm,Right Here,You found Me," Rex shouted,Jumping,From Side to Side,as a Light Taunt.
The Lightning Gasped,as It saw Him,Standing There,In Front of It,Not liking the Fact,That,It had passed Him,Before.
"Other Guy," The Lightning said,In Surprise.
"Aw,Come On,It's Rex," Rex pointed Out,Angrily.
The Lightning did not Say Another Thing,as It,Just floated,Towards Him,To Electrocute Him to Death.
Rex Screamed,In Surprise,as He turned Around,And,Ran towards the Lookout Doors.
"Run,Run,All You want Little Puppy,But,You're gonna run Out of Real Estate,Soon Enough," The Lightning informed,as It floated,Farther and Farther,Away,From the Other Three.
"You got This,Rex,You got This,Rex," Rex whispered to Himself,as He ran Faster and Faster,Towards the Doors,Before,Running straight through the Glass Part of the Doors,Flying Out the Lookout,To the Ground,Outside,Now,Surrounded by Glass.
The Lightning,Seeing Him Outside,Floated Out the Lookout Doors,To the Outside,as It floated,Towards Rex,Who was,Currently,Laying on his Side,On the Ground.
Simultaneously.
Back on the Island.
In the Forest.
Liam and Skye were,Slowly and Quietly,Walking through It,Looking for Any Sight of Somewhere to Go,While,Chase,Laid,In Liam's Arms,Considering,He couldn't Walk,After saving Skye,From the Creatures.
"Anything,Skye?" Liam asked,Softly,as He watched Her,Continuously,Sniff the Ground,Looking for a Scent of Somewhere to Go.
"Nope,Nothing Yet,Liam," Skye replied.
"I Hope,We find Somewhere Soon,So,We can keep Away from Those Things," Chase voiced.
"If They don't find Us There,As Well," Liam added.
"Oh,Liam,Be Positive," Chase requested.
"There's,Uh,Not Really Much to be Positive about,Right Now,Chase," Liam responded,Solemnly.
"I'm not smelling Anything,Nearby,Not for Miles," Skye notified.
"Are We going to have to be at This All Night?" Chase questioned,Concernedly,To Liam.
"Well,I-I'm not Sure,It All depends if We can find Something," Liam stated.
"Come On,Liam,You got This,You've gotta have a Plan," Chase urged.
"Chase,I don't,I have No Idea," Liam warned.
"Can You,At Least,Try to think of Something?" Skye wondered.
"I DON'T KNOW!" Liam lashed Out,Angrily.
The Minute,Chase and Skye heard Him lash Out at Them,They,Both went Quiet,as They watched Him put Chase Down,And,Walk Over to a Tree Trunk,Before,Covering his Face,In his Arms.
Chase and Skye looked at Each Other,With Worried Looks,Before,Turning Back to Him,as They walked and hobbled Over to Him,So,They could Comfort Him.
"L-Liam,Are You Okay?" Chase brought Up,as He put his Paw,On Liam's Arm,And,Looked Down at Him.
"No,Chase,I'm not," Liam admitted,Muffledly.
"Do you need to talk about It?" Skye questioned.
"Guys,I can't do This,Okay,I can't," Liam confessed,as He lifted his Head to talk to Them.
"Can't do What?" Chase asked.
"Any of This,Nothing about This is Okay,Guys,Nothing,I'm just a Kid,A Kid,Who has No Idea,What He is doing,I-I should not be having to,Even think about All This,I'm not used to being the One,Who knows It All,I'm not used to being The One with the Plan,That was Ryder's Thing,Not mine,Seeing All You Pups in Danger,And,Some of You dying,All because of Me,It's just Too Much,It's Too Much Pressure,I can't take It Anymore" Liam explained.
"Liam,It's Okay,If Anyone gets How You feel,It's Me," Chase mentioned.
"And,How's That?" Liam wondered.
"Well,When Ryder first put Me in Charge,The Day,We got Our Superpowers,From the Meteor,I had No Idea,What to do,I could not make Up a Plan to save My Life,And,All I ever Thought about was the Mistakes,I made," Chase answered.
"How did You do It,Chase? How did You get Over That? How did You get over That Guilt" Liam interrogated.
"To be Honest,I just thought,What Ryder would do," Chase pointed Out.
"What He would do?" Liam repeated,In Consideration.
"Yeah,I asked Myself, Would Ryder just give Up when his Team needs Him? Would He continue to blame Himself,Even,When Things are beyond his Control,Would He,Liam?" Chase elucidated
"No,He wouldn't," Liam murmured.
"Liam,You might not be your Older Brother,But,You are Still a Good Leader," Skye voiced.
"She's Right,We would have never gotten All This Way,Without You,We never gave Up on This Whole Thing,Because,You never gave Up on This Whole Thing,If You never said Anything,If You weren't Here,Well,I don't think,Any Pup would be Alive,Right Now," Chase explained.
"R-Really?" Liam questioned.
"Really," Chase and Skye replied,In Unison.
"Thanks,Guys,I really needed That,Thank You for being There for Me," Liam thanked,Both Chase and Skye,as He got Back Up,Onto his Feet,And,Picked Chase Up in his Arms,Once More.
"So,Where to Next,Partner? What do We do?" Chase wondered.
"I think,I might have an Idea,What to do Next,Now," Liam admitted.
"That's Our Boy," Skye and Chase commented,At the Same Time,as,The Minute,They heard It,They turned to Each Other,And,Smiled.
"Okay,Skye,You've been Sniffing in This Direction,For Quite a Long Time,If We're not finding Anything North of the Island,Let's Try,Searching for Anything East of the Island,And,If That doesn't Work,We'll try West," Liam suggested,Confidently.
"Got It," Skye responded,as She put Her Nose,Back to the Ground,And,Started Sniffing East of Their Position.
"And,Chase," Liam was about to Say,Looking Down on Him,as He saw Chase,Staring at Something,With Widened Eyes.
"Chase,Wh-What's Wrong?" Liam asked,Concernedly.
"L-Liam," Chase called,Fearfully,as He continued to Stare at That Same Something.
"What?" Liam answered.
Chase put his Paw on Liam's Cheek,as He moved his Face,To What,He was Looking at.
The Second,Liam looked,They Both saw the Shadow of the Big Creature,Coming around the Corner,Towards Them,as They turned to Skye,Who was,Still Sniffing.
"Skye! Hide! It's Here!" Chase commanded,Quietly,as He watched Skye nod,And,Immediately,Run,Behind a Tree,To hide,From It.
The Monster,About to see Them,Stepped It's Foot Out,To see if They were There.
Liam and Chase,Both having the Same Idea,Skye had,Hid Behind the Tree,The Same Tree,That,She was Behind,And,The Same One,It was,Currently,Walking Out,From Behind.
Liam saw It,Really Close,About to Gasp,In Surprise,as Chase,Then,Put his Paw to Liam's Mouth,Keeping Him Quiet,Just like Liam had Done to the Other Two Earlier,When It was looking for Them.
Skye,Seeing It Moving Closer to Them,Turned to the Both of Them,With a Worried Look.
"Stay Quiet,And,Do not Move," Chase mouthed to Skye,Telling Her,What to do,So,That,She would Know.
"What do We do,Now?" Skye muttered to Chase and Liam,Asking the Two of Them,What They were going to do Next,Before,The Thing found Them.
Chase removed his Paw,From Liam's Mouth,So,They could Both be able to say Something.
"Prepare to Run," Liam and Chase whispered,as All Three of Them saw the Creature,About to turn the Corner,To see Them,Against the Tree,Preparing to make a Dash for It,The Minute,It found Them.
If the Creature did not kill Them First.
