THE BLUE SPIRIT

CHAPTER 60 – BURNING HEART

She couldn't believe it. Even with so much firepower with them, it was no use. Their numbers, their element of surprise, their mutated pokemon and their total lack of regard for life should've provided them the way to victory. But no, they were losing and losing badly. And losing the aura guardian didn't crush their spirits or anything of the sort. Instead, it did the exact opposite. So enraged were they at his fall that just a handful of his pokemon lost it and somehow mega evolved without their trainer. And now they were completely manhandling their forces. Domino was filled with anger, frustration and was at a loss at how to turn things back around for them. Not coming up with anything, she decided to at least find somewhere to hide and regroup. And that's exactly what she did as she was able to maneuver into a hidden position in the stadium while commanding a group of grunts with her.

Soon as they got settled in their spot, Domino pressed the earpiece on her. "Executives, report in."

Static was heard for a while and right when she was about to try again, a gruff voice was heard. "Butch and Cassidy reporting. We're still in our position in the satellite. What do you want us to do?"

Domino waited for the others to answer and wondered who was still active. She was about to say something about where the others were, growing impatient but then someone else spoke up after some static blared in her ear. "Oakley and Annie reporting in. We had to change our positions since we were almost discovered. What now?" asked the silver haired sister of the two.

Waiting for a little bit longer and not hearing anything else, she realized that the other executives were either taken out or had retreated after doing their parts of the plan. Rubbing the sides of her head in an attempt to deal with her newly occurring headache because of everything, Domino took in a breath before letting it out. "Alright, this is what we're gonna do. Butch, Cassidy; get the weapon ready for deployment."

"You sure about that?" asked Cassidy with slight anxiousness.

"DON'T QUESTION ME AND JUST DO IT!" snapped Domino with impatience and anger.

"Okay, okay. We'll get it done ASAP," remarked Butch before some more static and they were gone.

Mentally noting to punish both Butch and Cassidy for annoying her after this ordeal was over, Domino closed her eyes as she grumbled a bit before continuing on. "Oakley, Annie; once it starts attacking, use that to get to my position. Once we regroup and while it has everyone else's attention, we'll go after the champions and elites," informed the agent.

"Understood," answered both sisters at the same time before more static and then nothing.

Domino let out a sigh and looked at the grunts around her. Though they were sporting slightly fearful expressions on their faces, whether from her display of anger or from their predicament, she didn't know and she didn't care. Useless and pathetic! The lot of them! But whatever, they'll have to do, even if I have to use them as bait! Glaring at them, Domino then spoke. "Get ready to attack the moment I say so." Nodding at her words, the grunts around her prepared themselves.

After a short while that seemed to last forever, Domino finally got an update. "It's ready," informed Cassidy.

"Release it now!" ordered Domino at once.

"Roger!" replied Butch.

A short while later, an incredible quake shook the entire stadium, rocking it. The grunts around her, though knowing what was going to happen, still sported surprised expressions while Domino had an evil smile appear on her face. Let's see you fucks deal with this! Team Rocket's ultimate weapon! Pressing her earpiece again, Domino contacted Oakley and Annie soon after and found out that they were already on their way to her position while commenting that it had already started attacking. Perfect…

Everyone in the stadium couldn't believe their eyes. After everything they had witnessed, good, bad, amazing, depressing and everything else in between, this took the cake. For everyone was staring up at a colossal being that towered over the stadium they were in. The highest part of the stadium barely reached the middle part of its torso. Though daylight had turned into night long ago, they were still able to see the giant well enough to make out several astonishing things.

For one, the unbelievably enormous pokemon had darkened red spots on it along with metal plates that seemed to be fused with its skin all over its body. Its head was encased in a metal helmet that covered its face but was able to see through it thanks to the horizontal glass partition that ran along the front of it. Utterly mesmerized by the appearance of the creature and how it looked, nobody could move or make a sound, including the guardian's pokemon. It was only when the creature let out an ear splitting roar as it swiped at one of the stadium lighting fixtures, which broke apart from its sheer strength with ease, that everyone was able to react.

At first covering their ears the best they could while trying to keep from being blown away from the power behind the roar, almost everyone then trembled violently in their spots from fear and hopelessness in their situation afterwards. The elites and champions still conscious in the arena were speechless at what they were seeing yet a handful was thinking furiously at what they could do. Most of the people in the stands continued to cower and sob, letting out sounds of hopelessness, unable to do anything else. Drax and Tobias wondered how anyone could fight back against such a monster. From within the guardian's group, several were in shocked states, muttering to themselves in panic, others were stupefied to the point that they just gawked at the monster and the rest were in similar states. But only two were able to think as both Kanto gym leaders wondered the same thing; how in the hell did Team Rocket catch him and what did they do to him?!

Only Misty and Brock knew what the creature was even with its head covered and its body altered with what they assumed to be cybernetic enhancements. For they, along with the fallen guardian and one other, had crossed paths with him years ago.

It was the mythical creature of the sea that was dozens of times larger than the rest of its kind that made it famous in myths and legends. It was because of its unnatural size that made a certain scientist, who was very popular with his studies and research, to theorize about how pokemon could have another hidden aspect within that laid dormant in almost all while only a tiny percentage would access it. What he soon called the 'king' gene in pokemon that allowed them to become many times larger than normal. And so, the scientist decided to name this creature after meeting it that one time with three others the following name; the Legendary King Dragonite.

King Dragonite roared again while slamming his claw in a downwards angle onto the stadium top, crushing it and causing it to collapse. People screamed and shouted as they tried to flee the area while others had their voices cut off suddenly from being buried alive from the rubble. The champions and elites did their best to help those around them to find some sort of cover or safer area while the guardian's group did the same. Though it was pointless, they couldn't think of anything else to do. Many others around the stadium tried to run or at least get some distance between themselves and the rampaging dragon who was attacking. Only a few were thinking about how to fight back but had no idea how.

Their thinking was cut off when a ball of fire rocketed into the giant's abdomen that bounced off its tough hide. Charizard's attack hardly did anything but his mission was complete; to draw the enemy's attention. Dragonite growled at the small pokemon and swiped at him with his right claw but the Kanto starter was able to evade it and replied with a burst of flames. But then another strike was sent from the left and the fire starter was barely able to dodge the massive claw from the skin of teeth. But then another swipe came rushing towards him and there was no way he could avoid it.

Charziard watched the massive incoming claw and would've knocked him into next week at the very least if not for the quick actions of a certain falcon pokemon. Pidgeot used her incredible speed to divebomb her ally and pushed him out of the way with her from the monster's attack. After maneuvering out of the way, the two pokemon glanced at one another and through their aura bond made a plan together; work together to keep the dragon's attention on them since they were the only still conscious flyers. The two pokemon flew up towards the dragon's head and launched their own ranged attacks whenever possible while avoiding his attacks. Dragonite roared with fury and frustration as he attempted to hit them out of the air with his claws but had no such luck. He had wings but with the added weight of the cybernetic enhancements on the behemoth, it didn't allow him to fly for long. Even so, he was resilient to damage and one could feel how powerful he was.

While Charizard and Pidgeot kept Dragonite's attention, their fellow comrades in arms moved into positions closer to the beast. Lucario, Gardevoir, Garchomp, Tyranitar, Sceptile, Blastoise and Venusaur each found their spots along the highest area of the stadium walls as agreed upon on their plan made between themselves. Lucario, Sceptile and Garchomp would soon assist the two flyers with their own speedy attacks around their target's legs to weaken its foundation. Gardevoir, Tyranitar, Blastoise and Venusaur would use their ranged attacks to damage the giant's torso as much as possible. And with their plans agreed upon and set into the motion, the guardian's small group of his strongest fighters pushed way passed their exhaustion, as well as their limits, to combat this new foe.

The elites and champions used this limited time to also regroup and see who was still able to do something. Unfortunately, every single one of them had no more usable pokemon to call out to battle and they themselves were on their last legs. They worked together to move those who couldn't on their own as far away from the area of the stadium where the fighting was still going on. Some were crying. Some were whimpering in pain. Some were knocked out. Some were muttering curse words at the situation. Some were doing their best to keep from falling apart. Yet all of them were feeling many different things swirling around inside, from rage and frustration, to fear and disbelief.

Two out of that group were moving towards that area, with one assisting the other. Helping her champion along, Bertha was doing her best to stay strong for Cynthia. Glancing at the blonde's face, she saw her blank look and worried what she was going through. Bertha knew that her surrogate daughter was in turmoil after seeing her beloved die and that was the reason why she couldn't function. But she also knew that if she didn't pull herself together soon, then she too might just follow after him if she's not able to fight back or even flee. Moving her gaze forward, she saw some of her fellow elites already there. Some trying to catch their breath, some unconscious, others still vigilant but every single one of them wounded in some way or another. Even amongst their champions, Lance and Alder were the only two of the five champions, while still hurt, able to stand on their own. Diantha was awake but suffering from a broken leg. Steven was still unconscious due to having been hit in the head by fallen debris, which was also very worrying because it could signify serious injuries. They did bandage him up the best they could but knew he, along with many others, needed to get medical aid as soon as possible. And the fifth champion had her own issue. Cynthia was stuck in her sudden trance, unable to function. Bertha couldn't help but feel that they were up against an unstoppable force and they had nothing left to use. All of their elites were down. Their champions were down. Even the many trainers in the field were down. And the aura guardian, her Cynthia's beloved, and the most powerful the world had ever seen, was also down and completely out. It was then that Bertha did something that she hadn't done in a long time. She said a prayer in her mind. Please…Arceus, Mew…Master Red…someone, anyone, help us. Deliver us from this evil night! Please!

When the guardian's pokemon engaged the Dragonite and kept up their relentless but so far ineffective assault on the Dragonite, the guardian's group did what they could to help one another and gathered together, checking on one another while keeping an eye on the fight against the behemoth. The parents, minus Delia who was still lost in her own turmoil, were doing what they could to tend to the rest in the group while ignoring their own injuries. The friends of the group who could still function went to help the parents. While they did that, the girls checked on one another with tears still rolling down their cheeks, unable to believe that their beloved was gone.

As everyone else regrouped with their family and friends all over the stadium and in the arena, one person remained on her own. The red head remained on the ground after falling down near the tunnel's entrance she came out of while maintaining her gaze on the fighting between the guardian's remaining pokemon and Team Rocket's ultimate weapon. Natasha's eyes were wide and her heart was beating like mad at what she was seeing. She never did see Giovanni's ultimate weapon in person till now, even though she knew of its existence. Though she was astonished over the power of the monstrous being that so easily crushed a part of the stadium like it was nothing, she didn't fear it. Or rather, she felt no feeling at all. For her savior was gone, the egg that Blissey gave her was broken and there was no way to reach him or help him. Even if she could reach him and still had the egg, from what she gathered from the words of others there in the stadium, there was no point since her savior had been killed a while ago. After watching the fighting for a little bit longer, Natasha lowered her gaze to the ground and her eyes watered. There's no point…don't they see? Why do they keep fighting? He's gone! There's no point in living anymore if he's gone! Saying those words in her head seemed to have caused a reaction as sudden rapid tears escaped from her eyes and dropped onto the ground.

Until a clicking sound behind her head made Natasha stop her crying and glanced behind her to see one of her most hated persons in the world. And further behind her were several Rocket grunts along with two other executives, Oakley and Annie that she saw, who had held up the elites and champions with their pokemon and weapons respectively, who were unable to do anything but cower in front of them. Seeing this occur, many throughout the stadium yelled in fright, causing attention to go back and forth towards them and the fight against the behemoth. "My, my. Are you crying?" taunted Domino with an evil sneer but the red head barely reacted to it. After looking at the grunts and two other executives for a moment, she barely glanced at the one aiming at her before she just looked ahead and didn't move besides her shuddering caused by her sobs. The blonde's sneer went away before her eyes narrowed over the blatant display. She's not afraid and doesn't care about me killing her? Well, can't have that! "Turn around!" she ordered but the red head didn't move. Growling in anger, she kicked the red head in the back, causing her to drop onto all fours. Another kick to her side made Natasha go onto her back. Still, she made no attempt to fight back and didn't even make any sound at all. Domino aimed the gun at her, an angered expression on her face. "You damn whore!" Still no response. Only silent tears poured out from the downed woman's red eyes and that made Domino rage. "Fear me damn it!" She kicked her side again and still no sound or reaction. Letting out a shout of frustration, she kicked her once more before aiming her gun at her chest while making a disgruntled sound. "That's it; I'm done playing games with you. If you won't fight for your life, then die and go be with the dead." No sound or movement from the red head. Domino snarled but then smiled evilly as she thought something before voicing it out loud. "Either way, I'll never have to worry about you again. All in all, I win. You lose."

Natasha watched Domino slowly move her finger towards the trigger yet did nothing to try and stop her. At that point, Natasha didn't care however. All she did was imagine the one who saved her from her agony and showed her another path of life that she thought didn't exist. She remembered when he would just hold her in his arms and hoped that she could have that again in the afterlife at least. As his image stayed in her mind, her tears flowed a little faster while waiting for her end. Ash…I'm sorry I couldn't get to you in time. I'm sorry I wasn't much help. I'm sorry for everything. But hopefully, I can see you on the other side. And I hope that you'll forgive me…

Darkness.

That was the only thing he saw after barely being able to crack open his eyes. His breathing was ragged, only capable of taking in short, shuddering and raspy breaths. He was in so much pain, that it overwhelmed his senses to the point that he felt aching numbness all over his body. Miraculously, the rubble that fell on top of him had landed in such a way that it didn't kill him. Although they did pin him down while breaking several of his bones. Luckily, or unluckily depending on how one would look at it, his bleeding was slowed to a crawl due to the debris on him causing pressure on his wounds that slowed the precious life fluid leaving him.

It took him a while to realize all that, wondering why he wasn't dead yet. He couldn't figure it out, because no matter how he thought about it, it still didn't make sense as to why he wasn't dead. Deciding to forego it, he didn't know if he should be thanking the powers that be that he was still alive for the moment or cursing them into oblivion for dragging out his demise. No matter what however, he knew that he was angry over so many things and especially at the Original One for his betrayal. But even so, he forcefully focused his attention onto other more important matters.

For one, he tested if he could somehow move but that ended in failure with overwhelming pain spread out through his body from his attempt. Pushing past that, he tried to contact his pokemon or even the girls through their aura bonds but that too ended with no results. He wondered if it was because he barely had any energy left to even communicate but didn't dwell on that. His last hope was the psychic feline as he once again focused much of his remaining energy to do so. Calling out to the legendary many times was also met with disappointing results. Doing all he could that he thought of, nothing else came to mind and so he ceased his attempts as the horrible truth began to sink in; there was nothing he could do right now to help himself or others. The only thing he could do was wait for death to release him from his predicament.

Coming to terms with that harsh reality caused his eyes to overflow with water and he couldn't control himself. Heavy and fast tears leaked out of his eyes as he stared into the darkness. Closing his eyes did nothing to prevent them from escaping out. His mind formed images of the important ones in his life. His pokemon that he had caught, trained and experienced many things with. Friends that he made during his travels around the world and how some became his rivals, as they pushed one another to greater heights. His mother who was always there for him and who helped him become the man he is now. And of course the girls who he loves, who became his girlfriends and who stood beside him through everything so far.

His heart ached for each and every one of them but the image that stayed in his mind was that of his girlfriends. He thought how he would never again be able to see them or do anything with them ever again. No more feeling them in his arms. No more hearing their infectious laughter. No more seeing their wonderful smiles. No more. It was all going to be gone. And what was worse than all that was the fact that he also couldn't protect them anymore and wouldn't be able to keep his promises to them. Horrible feelings swirled within him that made him feel worse, compounded with the intense pain he couldn't stop feeling as well.

I'm sorry! He thought after a moment, as he could feel his heart rate slowing, his senses dulling as his body grew colder with each passing second. I'm sorry I failed you! I'm sorry I won't be able to keep my promises to you! I hope you survive all this! I hope something comes to save you all! I hope that you'll forgive me! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Please be alright! Please forgive me! His eyes closed with some few last tears rolling down his cheeks, the dying raven haired guardian mentally said his goodbyes as he waited for his end.

"Don't…up..."

Some words were heard inside his mind that he barely heard all of a sudden. He couldn't make it out and so, believed it was his mind going crazy as life left him.

"Don't ever give up."

Again, he heard the words but this time they were spoken more clearly. He wondered if it was his mind playing tricks on him before the end.

"'It's no trick of the mind. You are finally hearing me just fine."

He was surprised to hear that voice once more and was also surprised that this voice was able to speak with him and hear his thoughts, even when he couldn't do so with the girls, his pokemon or even Mewtwo. "H-How?"

"There's no time to explain but the short version is through our Aura Bond, which I'm also using to keep you from death's embrace at the moment with all the power I can muster through the bond."

Those little tidbits of information shocked the young man. "W-What?! H-How? Why? W-Who?"

The voice however ignored his questions and said something else. "You mustn't give up! I know you can overcome all of this!"

"You're wrong! I can't do it!" replied the young man, forgetting his questions. "I'm about to die and I've failed! I couldn't stop Team Rocket! And they've-"

"Yes, you can!" interrupted the voice. "You are not out of the fight yet!"

"I can't! I've been hurt bad! I have no energy left! I can't use aura! I'm pinned down!"

"It doesn't matter! Aura Guardians in general can do so much, and you have so much potential and the ability to do so much more than what the ordinary person can imagine!"

"It doesn't matter! I can't do it! I'm stuck, I'm bleeding and I-"

"Don't give up! You are the most powerful of all Aura Guardians to ever exist! So rise! Rise and fight back!"

"I can't! I let everyone down! I failed!"

"You haven't failed yet! Remember what you've learned and lived through!"

"I have! But it's not helping and I can't protect them!"

"Yes you can!"

"I can't! No matter what I do, it's not enough! They're gonna die!"

"Not if you rise! Push through and rise right now!"

"I can't! I'm dying anyways!"

"No, you won't! I told you that I'm keeping you alive for the moment but you must rise right now since I can't keep it forever!"

"It doesn't matter! I can feel it! I can't bring out my aura! I have no strength left!"

"Damn it, listen to me!" The voice inside his head was beginning to become frustrated that he wasn't being listened to.

"There's no point! I failed!"

"Not yet! Concentrate on your power! Push through! Focus and rise up!"

Ash was starting to lose it, ignoring the voice in his head and began apologizing to his beloveds once more. "I'm sorry girls I broke my promises. I'm sorry I failed you! Know that I love you!"

"Don't you dare say that!"

"I'm sorry that I can't save you from being killed! There's nothing I can do! I've failed you! I'm so sorry!"

"No! They won't die now and you won't fail them! All you have to do is rise!"

"I'm sorry for failing! I'm sorry for being weak! I'm nothing but a loser who can't keep his promises!"

"Stop it! You're not!" said the voice in his mind.

"Even though I love you all, it's not enough and it doesn't matter! I've lost. I've failed you. There is no hope left. I'm nothing! I can't do it! I'm sorry"

The voice in Ash's head could no longer control the tone it spoke with and began yelling due to frustration over his words not being heeded. "NO, THAT'S NOT TRUE! YOU CAN STILL DO IT!"

Ash continued to apologize, barely hearing the words being yelled at him within his mind. "I'm sorry that I failed you! I'm sorry for being worthless! I'm sorry Arceus lied to us! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm-"

"STOP THAT, FUCK ARCEUS AND NO, YOU'RE NOT WORTHLESS BECAUSE YOU'RE MY SON!" Snapped the voice inside his head all of a sudden, interrupting the young man's constant apologizing.

That final word made him stop, astounded to hear that. It took Ash a moment before he could respond back with a low mental tone of voice. "W-What did you just s-say?"

Silence for a moment until the voice spoke again inside his mind but this time it was with a softer yet still serious tone. "You can do it. You're not worthless. You haven't failed yet. Arceus can rot in hell for his betrayal. But that doesn't matter now. And I believe in you because you're my flesh and blood. You…are my son."

Shock at finding out that the voice who has been speaking with him all these years actually belonged to his father made him go silent for another moment. His heart rate was still slow, his body barely functioning, and yet his mind was now completely focused on what he just heard, somehow ignoring the pain from his injuries. Most likely due to his father's influence through their aura bond but he didn't dwell on it. "It's…r-really you?" he asked finally.

"Yes, it's me son."

He didn't know what to think or feel. So many different thoughts, questions, feelings swirled around him all of a sudden that he didn't know what to say, overwhelming him. Until he just stammered out something. "B-But…how? When? W-Why? Why? WHY?!"

"I know you have many questions to ask my son. And you may even hate me right now. But that is for another time. I'll explain everything one day. Right now, you must focus. You must rise, my son."

Ash however barely heard him, thinking that he still couldn't do it. But he still wanted an answer to a question he had on his mind for so many years with anger in his tone. "A-After all this time…why didn't you tell me? How could you do that? Why t-tell me now? And why did you l-leave us?"

"Ash…my son…I never wanted to leave you and your mother. I love you two more than anything else in the world. And I wanted to tell you so many times but I just couldn't. You should understand how sometimes you have to leave for the good of others." Silence between the two again as those words hit Ash and sunk in, his anger dissipating a little bit. "I know you may be angry with me…even hate me right now…but please, believe me my son. And even if you can't right now, that's fine. Because right now, you have something far more important to do; save the ones you love. Save as many as you can. You can do this. You have the power needed. All you need to do is bring it out. Rise, my son."

Hearing the sincerity in his father's words, feeling it through the Aura Bond, Ash could tell that he was speaking the truth. And he understood somewhat about not being able to say anything for the good of others. That made him calm down some yet his anger didn't fully vanish. But even so, he couldn't dwell on that too much since his father's words made him remember of his predicament and he didn't know how he could turn things around. He was literally moments away from death, having lost a lot of blood from his wounds and he couldn't manifest his aura. And even if he could, he was trapped with no way to communicate with the others. A new feeling, one of fear and hopelessness was starting to creep in him. "I'm still u-upset…but I-I understand…b-but…I don't know how. I-I don't have the power. I'm trapped. I…I j-just can't do it…" His breathing, already in short wheezes, turned even more sporadic, while his emotions got the best of him because of his current predicament, making him blurt out the following words in fear. "D-D-Dad, I can't!"

Hearing his son call him that after so long, even if because of his unstable emotional state, swelled Satoshi's heart while stuck in his cylindrical prison located underground in a faraway place. But he pushed aside his feelings and focused on his son who needed him now more than ever. He only hoped his words could penetrate through his doubts and fears. "Ash, I know you're frightened my son. I know you're hurting. I know you're stuck. I know that you think that this is the end and there's nothing you can do about it. But do you want to know what else I know?" Silence between the two for a second before he continued. "I also know that you are the last of an ancient line of Aura Guardians. One that can be traced all the way back to Sir Aaron. I know that you are the most powerful guardian to ever exist, stronger than even I. I also know that you have overcome so many trials, so many conflicts, so many disasters and so many other things. I know that you've worked hard all your life and you always did the right thing, even when everything else was stacked against you. I know that you have many loved ones that you want to protect with all your being. And I also know that you have the power inside of you to do almost anything. All you need to do is to not listen to your doubts, believe in yourself again, push through and rise."

Satoshi's words washed over his son and it resonated with him, making him think of everything that he's gone through. He could feel the bond between him and his father becoming stronger. Yet he was still feeling fear because of his particular situation and the state he was in. "D-Dad…"

"I know and it's alright," interrupted his father calmly. "I'm going to give you whatever help I can but it won't be much and honestly, I don't think you really need it. You can do this my son. Rise. I believe in you for you are my blood. My son. The last true Aura Guardian. There is so much potential for one such as yourself so believe in yourself as I do. As many others do. Now rise." Satoshi could sense his words were starting to reach his son and so pushed through himself to make sure they do. Not only did he have a promise to keep to his son of being there when everything crumbled around him, he had to make sure he understood completely. "Rise my son. Rise and make everyone remember who they're dealing with! Rise and show everyone the true power of an Aura Guardian! Rise and show everyone the will of a Ketchum! Rise and shine your light brightly over the darkness! Rise and show the world what happens when evil threatens the ones you love! Rise and show them the strength of your heart! Rise, my son! Rise! RISE! RISE!"

At long last Ash heard his father through the link and his words washed over him, resonating with him that caused his mind to go into overdrive. Images of his family, his pokemon, his friends and his girlfriends flashed through his mind's eye once more. But this time, each image seemed to give him energy, making his aura that was basically a small candle flame inside of him that was close to snuffing out to suddenly change. Strengthening inside of him, the flickering aura turned into a fire that continued to grow as he remembered more and more of the ones who he cares for and loves. The last image to show in his mind that stayed there was that of his beloveds. His girlfriends smiling back at him with loving expressions on their faces for him and him alone.

At that moment, the aura symbol on his chest began to glow a bright blue, with every single name glowing a bright white, allowing him to feel what his girlfriends were feeling at that moment; fear, despair, sadness and much more. It made his heart increase its slow beat to a rapid pace as a new desire emerged; to protect the innocent and above all else, the ones he loves so dearly no matter the cost.

His body shook violently all of a sudden as blue glowing veins spread out from the symbol on his chest, traveling all over him while something completely broke inside of him. It was that same thing that awakened inside of him twice already before but this time it was different. Before it felt like something had woken up but was still caged, unable to fully unleash its strength. But now, it felt as if it had completely escaped its confines and it seemed like power incarnate. For he felt his entire body fill with so much energy, that he began to rapidly heal, his wounds sealing shut as his bones snapped back into place as his aura manifested. His entire body began glowing a bright blue as his aura inside him transformed from a small candle flame into a blazing inferno…

In the field of the battle torn stadium, the elites and champions were held up at gunpoint by the two Team Rocket executives Annie and Oakley while the grunts had their pokemon surround them. Domino had Natasha on the ground and was slowly pulling the trigger. The guardian's pokemon that were fighting against the King Dragonite were exhausted and hurt in their positions on the top of the stadium due to the behemoths attacks. Everyone else in the stadium was unable to do anything as they watched with horrified eyes at what was happening around them.

Until suddenly it felt as if the very planet itself started shaking out of nowhere that wasn't caused by the behemoth since he was standing still. Streaks of blue lightning flashed in the sky above with loud claps of thunder following afterwards that made many flinch and multiple people screamed out in terror, shouting crazy things since there were no clouds in the night sky. "What the fuck is going on?!" asked Domino as she did her best to stay standing and forgot about Natasha for the moment, who stayed on the ground, unable to get up or even move because of the quaking.

The lightning strikes kept going as the ground continued shaking for a little while longer, making even the King Dragonite stop in his tracks as he held onto the stadium walls for support. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity to many, the flashes of lightning, booms of thunder and the rumbling earth finally stopped as an eerie silence followed after.

"What in the hell..." whispered Lance, kneeling beside Diantha and hugging her who had latched onto him fearfully.

Nobody else was able to make a peep as a high pitch noise, which sounded like a sharp whistling, was then heard by everyone. It became louder and louder with every passing second, making many cover their ears in an attempt to drown out the noise but it hardly worked. Even the King Dragonite was affected by it, shaking its head uselessly to drawn out the noise. As the whistling sound grew louder and higher pitched, many began noticing blue glows coming from within the cracks of the rubble that served as the guardian's burial.

Seeing that happen, many people, especially among a certain group of girls, one red head and one middle aged woman, had their eyes widen and their hearts began beating like mad, hoping against all odds that this was related to the raven haired guardian. Becoming so bright and so loud, the glow and whistling sound had come to the point that many couldn't bear it anymore. They were about to cry out in anguish when the debris began to move and float upwards some, seemingly floating in the air.

Until all of a sudden, a massive pillar of aura energy burst upwards, disintegrating the rubble at once. The blue glowing pillar of aura energy traveled high up into the sky, seemingly into the heavens above, while taking up a lot of space in the field as it expanded with streaks of white electricity dancing around the pillar of aura energy. Aura Pulses shot out from it continuously, washing over everyone. For the innocent, it comforted them, soothed them and gave them energy. For the villains, it pushed them back while weakening them, even affecting the King Dragonite. A silhouette of a person rising from a hunched over position became visible within the bright, light blue pillar of aura energy since he was outlined in a dark blue glow.

All eyes were on the pillar and the silhouette, watching as it arched its body backwards for a moment before straightening out. The moment it did so, the pillar of aura energy began to thin and dissipate until it left behind what was within it. A raven haired young man was standing straight with the glowing aura energy outlining his body, his hair standing straight up as blue flame like energy danced around him powerfully like a raging fire. And something new this time that many hadn't seen before besides a certain group of girls and his mother, was the glowing blue circular symbol on his chest with seven dark blue glowing lightning bolts on it. It was visible because of his apparel being in tatters, his upper clothes practically gone while his pants had tears and holes in them.

Domino stood in front of her group of Rockets with a dumbfounded look on her face, mirroring the rest of her cohort's expressions. How the fuck is he still alive?! And where the hell did he get this power from?!

"ASH!" / "HE'S ALIVE!" cried out many with relief and happiness filling them, including both from his group and others in the stadium.

His eyes snapped open at their shouting, revealing them to be glowing such a bright blue that they almost looked white. Turning his gaze towards Domino and the rest of Team Rocket, he glared at them with his stoic yet angry expression, making them become filled with fear and worry. But one still functioned enough to act. "Don't even think of doing anything or their death will be on your hands!" shouted Domino with rage as she signaled to her team members. Snapping out of it, the executives aimed at the elites and champions with their weapons while the grunts had their pokemon get ready to launch attacks, making them cower in fear.

Ash's eyes narrowed before an aura shield appeared instantly around the group of targeted people. Startled by it, one of the grunts' pokemon opened fired, causing many to scream in fright. But the attack merely crashed against the shield and did nothing. Seeing that, Domino quickly aimed at the still downed red head near her. "Stand down or she'll die!" ordered the Rocket Executive. "You may have suddenly developed a way to protect others with your shield without you being there but you can't protect her too!" sneered the deadly woman, aiming at Natasha who's eyes were locked onto the guardian, not once leaving her gaze from him after he appeared.

The moment she finished speaking, a glow to her side caught her attention and she looked towards it. An Aura Shield was covering the red head who was feeling many different things over seeing her savior alive and being protected by him again. Domino's eyes widened, then looked at the other group and saw them still being protected. She looked back at the red head and still another shield. "WHAT?!" She couldn't believe it. He had two separate shields in place protecting them. And he wasn't even near them. Her anger rising, she raised her gun and aimed at the people in the stands. "WE'LL SHOOT THEM!" she yelled. Following her lead, Oakley and Annie raised their weapons to target them as well, with many frightened sounds coming from the people. But then multiple blue glowing shields began to appear all over the stadium as quickly as they moved their guns to target someone else. It came to the point that everyone was safe, covered by the protective energy. Absolutely frustrated and her anger rising to very high levels, Domino shook as she aimed back at Ash. "Damn you guardian! You may be able to protect them from us, but you won't be able to protect them from our ultimate weapon! DRAGONITE, ATTACK!" The King Dragonite roared and swung his right claw towards the stadium wall close to him. The guardian's pokemon were in that area but they were too exhausted to move.

Right before contact however, a much larger blue glowing wall of aura energy appeared and intercepted the King Dragonite's attack. The behemoth cried out in surprise while being pushed back and Domino's eyes bulged out from their sockets. "IMPOSSIBLE! THERE'S NO FUCKING WAY!" screamed Domino in disbelief. She let out a frustrated sound while her expression turned into a mad person's while looking at the Aura Guardian. She was so consumed by her fury that she almost didn't hear Butch and Cassidy ask if they should do something. "ATTACK! SHOOT THIS FUCKER! SHOOT HIM NOW!" She opened fire and so did Oakley and Annie with their guns while the grunts had their pokemon launch attacks on the guardian. Screams and shouts were heard by the group of girls but it was unneeded since another shield formed around him, preventing the bullets and ranged attacks from reaching him. "GOD FUCKIN DAMNIT! JUST FUCKIN DIE ALREADY YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" shrieked Domino, her rage and frustration having completely filled her.

"OAKLEY!" shouted Annie as she moved forward and her sister copied her. Both switched out their weapons and brought out their aura siphoning devices and aimed at the raven haired guardian. "Get him!" shouted the blonde with haste and both of them turned on the custom guns and began to once again drain the guardian. While the two did that, the grunts and their pokemon closed in around him.

Ash felt his energy being taken once more. But this time it didn't even faze him. "Damn vultures," said his father in his mind, their connection still stable. "Such horrible people. What atrocious actions they've taken. They'll never stop in their goal to get what they want as they hurt others. Show them what they're facing. Show them what the power of your heart!" Heeding his words, Ash finally acted.

Bringing his clenched hands up in front of his chest in a crossed form, he spread his feet some as he hunched over a bit. Blue glowing veins spread out all over his body from the still glowing symbol on his chest, making his body itself glow. The aura shield around him began to spin, increasing its speed. Seeing him get ready to do something, made Domino, Oakley, Annie and the other Rockets to become concerned and fear filled them. But before they could do anything else, the raven haired guardian made his move right.

Ash suddenly threw his gaze upwards towards the sky as his body straightened out while spreading out his hands to the side. "RAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He let out such a sound that it made everyone freeze after hearing it. For the raven haired guardian let out an incredibly loud roar at that moment. Not a shout, scream or yell. But a roar. A roar filled with such indescribable fury behind it that it sent shivers down everyone's spine. And the moment he made his move, the brightly blue colored Aura Shield swirling around him began to expand rapidly, growing larger with each passing second as streaks of white electricity arced all over it.

Seeing this occur, the Rockets bade a hasty retreat while Oakley and Annie continued to use their aura siphoning weapons to drain him of his energy once more as they covered their rear. But it didn't go as smoothly as before like last time. For the weapons were overheating, unable to deal with the vast amount of aura energy. Right when they began burning their hands, both executives dropped the weapons and made to bring out their pokemon to fly away with the rest. One got lucky, but the other didn't. Annie had fumbled with the poke ball and couldn't get it open in time. The Aura Shield slammed into her back, causing her to fall onto the ground with a cry of pain but that wasn't all. As the shield continued to expand, it flowed passed her and the energy made her body lock up, unable to move.

"ANNIE!" screamed Oakley as she looked back towards her stuck sister while flying up into the air with the rest.

"FORGOT ABOUT HER! KEEP FLYING!" shouted Domino without hesitation.

The Rockets kept flying upwards with some of their pokemon while the rest got left behind as the Aura Shield kept growing in size. When it made contact with the mutated pokemon, they screamed in agony before dropping down unconscious and then disintegrated into dust moments after. As it grew, whenever it reached the other Aura Shields around the stadium, they merged together. And as it traveled over the people there, it soothed them and calmed them down. Soon enough, the entire stadium was covered by one gigantic Aura Shield, preventing the Rockets and even the King Dragonite from reaching them, even when they attempted to push through it.

The ones still conscious inside the shield were awed into silence at what they just witnessed. They couldn't believe it. Even within the guardian's group, they were amazed and astonished to the point of silence. Never had they seen such power and such capability from the raven haired guardian. Or any guardian in history for that matter. The guardian's pokemon couldn't believe it either. They were happy and relieved to see Ash still alive but witnessing this extraordinary power from him was astounding. Even Lucario was left speechless, seeing him so and using such a powerful defensive shield that was considered impossible. The only thing he could think of is that his Master had reached another level out of desperation and somehow was able to make the impossible happen. But he worried about possible repercussions in obtaining this power in such a manner. Master…

Domino hovered in her position in the air with the remaining members beside her. Oakley was doing her best to stay focused but it was obvious that she was worried for her sister. What the fuck just happened?! We had it! We were so close! Goddamn it! Sudden static was heard in her ear until a voice was heard that she wasn't expecting. "Giovanni?!"

"Domino," he started to say, his tone of voice covered with barely controlled fury. "What do you think you're doing?" She wasn't even able to give a response as he continued to speak. "Have you forgotten what we have? Use the weapon. Stop being so fuckin scared. We've come too far and cannot lose. I expect you to accomplish your mission. No excuses. Now go." Static for a bit and then silence.

Domino was quiet for a moment, as she willed her heart, which was beating rapidly, to slow down as she focused and concentrated. He's right. I let my emotions get the better of me. I need to focus and think up of something. Tapping the ear piece, she contacted the other two executives. "Butch, Cassidy."

The two responded at once. "We're here."

"Increase the weapon's energy levels. We're blasting through that shield."

"Roger."

Domino took in a silent breath before looking at the ones around her. "Be prepared. Once we're through, we'll take him out."

"But Domino," started Oakley, making eye contact with her. "You saw what he just did! We can't do anything! And we can't endanger Annie! She's still down there! You have to-"

SMACK! Domino slapped the silver haired girl hard after moving closer to her. "Get a grip! We have our orders and Annie knew the risks. We'll never give up and we will triumph. For our glorious leader Giovanni and for the future of Team Rocket! Now get yourself together or I will kill you myself!" she finished saying with a snarl. Oakley didn't say anything back, her eyes watery but nodded slightly. "Good. Now get ready." Domino readied her weapons and the others copied her actions as they waited for the signal. A few seconds later and the deadly woman got an update through the ear piece. "DRAGONITE! BREAK THAT SHIELD AND DESTROY EVERYONE!" she screamed.

The King Dragonite let out a roar before attacking the aura shield once more. Like last time, his strikes were stopped by the shield. But they also caused a tremor to go through it.

In the center of the shield, the raven haired guardian felt that. What the hell?! That felt stronger than before! More strikes were landed against the shield and something happened that made his eyes widened. A large crack appeared on the shield where the giant was hitting. NO! Raising his hands from his sides upwards and concentrating his energy more, Ash channeled more aura into the shield. Everyone there saw streams of blue glowing energy travel from the guardian to the shield and it instantly strengthened, the glow becoming brighter with the crack disappearing. Yet the King Dragonite kept up its relentless attacks, even firing off close range beams of energy that rocked the area.

As the guardian kept up the shield while the behemoth kept attacking it, Lucario kept his eyes glued onto him. The aura canine knew that his Master was using so much power that it was straining him, even if he didn't know it and yet there was nothing he could do to help at the moment. Hold on Master. Soon I'll have recovered enough to help. All of us. You're not alone. Your strongest pokemon are almost ready. Please, just hold on.

Ash was doing all he could to keep up the extra power. Though he was glad for it, he could barely keep it in check. The power was incredible but hard to control. He felt as if his limbs would just explode at any moment from using it. "Keep it up my son. Your pokemon are almost done catching their breath. Just a little longer."

"I know but I don't know how much longer I can hold this." Ash could feel the almost overwhelming intense strain on his body, his heart beating so rapidly that he couldn't even feel it functioning.

"You can do it my son. Just hold on."

Ash however disagreed. "No. I can't. Not on my own. I need help. I need him." Raising his gaze towards the sky as he maintained the shield, his gaze locked onto the one so far above him who could help. "Mewtwo, can you hear me?" Silence was all he heard but he kept trying. "Mewtwo, I need you buddy. I can't do this on my own. Wake up! Please, wake up! MEWTWO!"

When the legendary psychic feline lost consciousness after his enormous explosion, he figured he would wake up long after everything was done but had no idea where he would be or who would be left alive. He never thought that he would awaken in darkness, seeing pitch black all around him. "Where am I?" he asked out loud with his telepathic powers after a moment.

"I brought you here. You finally woke up after a while." A male voice answered him, startling the psychic since he wasn't expecting it.

"Who are you?! Why have you brought me here?!" he asked the voice with anger, yet still he was surrounded by the pitch black area.

"No need to be hostile," answered the voice calmly. "I mean you no harm. I'm trying to help both you and my son."

Mewtwo's eyes widened a bit. "Your son? You mean…your Ash's father?"

"Yes. But that is for another time. You must awaken Mewtwo. My son needs you. You cannot give up now. And you cannot break your promise to her."

A confused expression formed on the purple feline's face. "Promise? What are you talking about? And how are you speaking with me?" asked the legendary.

Seeing that particular path wasn't working, Satoshi tried something else. "Never mind that right now. The easiest way I can explain it is that I'm piggybacking off the aura bond between you and my son. I may not be as powerful as my son, but I know a lot more tricks than he does. And just know that just like my son, you are far more powerful than you believe."

Mewtwo looked down in shame. "I'm nowhere near as powerful as I thought. I wasn't able to save Ash and I did nothing to help my first true friend, who helped me find a family to belong to. I…"

"Enough!" shot the voice impatiently, somehow able to cause the legendary to become startled, like a child caught by their parent for doing something wrong. "I'm tired of all this doubt! First my son, then you! You aren't allowed to be like this at all! Where is the confident legendary who always held his head high and never allowed anyone or anything to control him?" Mewtwo's eyes widened a bit at that, wondering how he knew that without ever meeting. But when he continued speaking, the psychic listened to him. "I will only tell you this once; rise up, remind everyone that you are the most powerful psychic, a legendary pokemon and above all, you are also a guardian in your own right! Now rise and fight back! Mewtwo, concentrate and bring out your power! RISE!"

Hearing those words seemed to resonate with the purple feline and Mewtwo's mind began to race. Thinking of everything that he had gone through since he was brought into existence. No, he couldn't let things go on like this and he couldn't allow those damn Rockets of all people to get away with their heinous actions. His body shook as he began to concentrate his power. He's right. I need to help them. I cannot lose anyone else! With that final thought, the darkened area he was in began to brighten as his power emerged…

High up in the sky, Mewtwo's eyes snapped open, glowing a bright blue. His vast psychic powers manifested outwards, as purple glowing flame like energy emerged from his body and flowed around his body as the psychic feline straightened out. His eyes then widened all of a sudden because of what he saw. Is that…AN AURA SHIELD?! A gigantic dome of aura energy was enveloping the stadium, glowing a bright blue. An incredibly loud boom shot through the area and he saw the massive pokemon striking the barrier. What the hell?! Where did this massive Dragonite come from?! Only when he carefully looked at the giant did he notice the darkened red spots as well as several metallic portions covering its body and its head. Angry feelings grew within him after realizing that Team Rocket was behind this. Those damn bastards! Their audacity knows no bounds!

"Mewtwo! Mewtwo!"

Hearing his name brought his attention to the one calling for him. "A-Ash?! You're alive?!"

"For the moment. It's a long story. I'll tell you later. But right now, I'm on the defensive and can't do more. You're the only one who can take on that Dragonite. I need you buddy!"

Mewtwo nodded his head slightly as his eyes locked onto the giant dragon. "I'm sorry it took me a while to wake up and get my head straight. But I still need to gather energy. Hold on for as long as you can!"

At that moment, another voice began speaking. "We're ready Master."

"Lucario! You guys alright?"

"Enough to fight again. While the rest engage the giant, I will help you maintain the shield."

"No, fight with the rest instead!" Lucario's eyes widened a bit and he was about to speak back but Ash cut him off. "It's fine Lucario. I'm able to keep the shield going. Help them keep Dragonite's attention on you guys while Mewtwo gathers energy."

Understanding him, the aura canine didn't argue anymore and instead focused onto his enemy. "Comrades, let's go!" Lucario led the charge against the towering behemoth once more as they prevented its next strike against the dome.

Seeing them do that, Mewtwo began preparing, focusing his powers. Good, that'll give me more time to get ready. Hold on my friends as long as you can. The psychic feline's heart beat rapidly as he did his best to concentrate and do what he needed to do.

While the guardian, the legendary and the guardian's pokemon did that, inside the shield many people were doing their best to remain calm as they waited for them to triumph over what seemed like the final wave of the invading forces so that this horrible nightmare can end. There was nothing else they could do. For no one else had any usable pokemon to fight and they themselves couldn't do much either anyways. All they could do was wait for the outcome while making sure their family and friends were alright. In the field, the elites were gathered together with some still unconscious. But the ones awake were stationed around them, keeping alert and aware, not wanting to get caught up with making another foolish mistake because they felt a little safe. But the one thing they all did, some more frequently than others however, was to glance at the raven haired guardian every now and then.

In particular, the elites Malva, Lorelei, Karen, Phoebe and Agatha would look at the young man every once in a short while. The eldest of them, Agatha, was being reminded of the Master and his closest friend more and more each time she looked at him. For the other four however, it wasn't out of being reminded of someone else. Instead, it was the fact that they couldn't believe he was still alive after all the brutality he went through and able to not only keep fighting, but somehow was able to overcome all of that to protect them all. Multiple feelings spun around inside of them to the point that they couldn't even attempt to begin to understand them. And so, they did the only thing they could at the moment; look at the one who captured their attention as much as they could.

If the four elites were having a hard time not looking at the guardian, a certain group of girls hadn't moved their gazes away from the young man the moment he reappeared. His girlfriends Misty, May, Dawn, Serena, Leaf, Sarah, Anabel, Sabrina, Cynthia, Giselle, Shauna, Lisabeth, Lisa, Clair and Daisy dared not to look away from him, afraid that he would disappear if they did. Their fear of him being taken away from them had not vanished when he reappeared, even as he seemed to somehow be stronger than ever before. Their eyes, still watery from their earlier crying and their long stares before daring to blink, had locked onto him and wouldn't be moved away no matter what. The only thing they did, except for one, was each of them had held onto one another as they continuously encouraged their beloved out loud, not caring at all who found out about their special situation anymore. The other who was in the field, the champion Cynthia, was being held by her surrogate mother while she also did the same as her sisters, showing her support for him. Bertha, while providing support for her champion by being there and doing all she could, mentally prayed for their salvation.

They weren't the only ones to do so. Delia, having recovered somewhat when her son reappeared, let out tears of relief at seeing her son alive. Standing back up finally, she never moved her sight away from her son. Even though she wanted with all her heart to go to her son, she knew that now would not be the best time. And she reminded herself that she wouldn't make another mistake in her blind haste. Delia looked at Ash for a while before movement caught her eye in the field near her son and she moved her sight towards it. And she saw the red head get back up on her feet while keeping her gaze fixed onto the raven haired guardian. Wondering how she was here for a moment, she then moved her gaze back to her son.

Near the raven haired guardian, Natasha stood where she was. Transfixed at the sight of her savior, the red head dared not to move or say anything. All she did was keep her eyes locked onto her savior since he came back. All she wanted now, the person who she desired to be near to, was so close to her. And once again, he was fighting for everyone's safety and happiness against staggering odds. Her heart beating like mad, the former Rocket executive remained in her position and kept looking at him while praying that he would succeed.

Up in the air, Mewtwo could feel the energy he was gathering become stronger by the second. The glow brightening around him as he focused his powers, Mewtwo brought his three digit hands back to his side. A small white ball of energy appeared after a few seconds of concentration. "Ash, I'm almost there! Make sure that monster isn't able to move or it might take me longer to gather enough energy for another go!"

"Got it! We'll make sure of that!" Ash sent mental commands out to his pokemon and immediately they took them into action.

Charizard and Pidgeot covered themselves in their respective elements and then rushed towards what they believed to be one of the softer spots on the behemoth. They smashed right into his throat with all the power they could muster, causing the King Dragonite to clutch at his attacked spot, trying to breathe but coming up with choked wheezes instead. After succeeding, Charizard and Pidgeot were barely able to land on top the stadium's wall before losing consciousness after using up all the energy they had.

Using his momentary vulnerable state, the rest of the pokemon did their part. Garchomp and Tyranitar used their affinity with the earth itself as they had the ground around their target's feet lift up and lean towards them. They trapped its feet within the center of the growing rocky formations with layer after layer of solid rock forming on top of it to keep the behemoth in its position.

The King Dragonite, while still under anguish from the strike against its throat, felt intense pain from their trapping moves. The jagged edges from the rocky layers dug into his hide. While gradually getting his breathing back in control, he attempted to get free, trying to lift his feet out from their traps but was unable to do so. When he finally could breathe normally again, he roared with rage as he then tried to break them with his claws.

As his claws came closer to the ground, Sceptile and Venusaur used their power to summon thick and long Frenzy Plants to shoot out from the ground. The thick and thorny roots coiled around the dragon's claws and dug into its tough hide as it continued traveling upwards.

Now hunched over because of the trapping moves, an annoyed and fury filled roar was let out from the behemoth. Pulling with all his strength, the King Dragonite was slowly starting to break free, somehow causing the thick roots to tear apart.

Lucario, Gardevoir and Blastoise sprung into action then as they began firing off nonstop Dragon Pulses, Moon Blasts and Ice Beams respectively at the giant to weaken him and throw off his concentration to break free. And it worked, as the constant barrage from those three, along with the other four consistently re-trapping his limbs made him stuck.

Are you fucking kidding me?! Seeing this happen, Domino was feeling many different things fill her. From shock and fear, to anger and frustration. Having enough of everything, she contacted Butch and Cassidy once more. "Morons! Increase its power to max!"

"B-But, then we'll have trouble controlling it!" replied back Cassidy.

Domino let out an angry sound before replying back. "I don't fuckin care! JUST DO IT! DO IT NOW!" she screamed at them. A moment later, and their secret weapon began having the metallic portions on its body glow a sinister red. I don't care what happens, but we will win this no matter the cost! A sudden faint purple glow from above caught her attention. Looking towards it, her eyes widened at seeing what, or more accurately, who, was causing it. No! That monster is still in the fight too?! We can't let him get involved as well! "ROCKETS, WITH ME!" ordered Domino as she steered her pokemon to where she wanted to go. The group of Rockets followed after her, too scared to do anything else, as they realized what they were going to do, seeing the psychic feline in the distance.

Sensing his enemy's energy signatures rising, Mewtwo let Ash know at once. "His strength is increasing! Hold on just a little longer! I'm almost ready!" The ball of white energy in his hands had grown some, swirling with electric cackles coming from it every second.

"I sense it too! We'll do our best!"

Mewtwo was about to say something else but then he jerked his sight to the side, something catching his attention. Damn it! Filthy Rockets noticed me! Having no time to think of anything else, Mewtwo decided to do the only thing he could. He fired his focused Hyper Beam at the Rockets, the white beam of energy shooting across the sky with such speed and power that it lit up the night sky, making everyone look up towards the sky from the ground.

None of the Rockets were able to escape the Hyper Beam unscathed. Most of them perished instantly from the force behind the attack, while only two were able to maneuver their pokemon to the side but barely. The beam still hit them, blasting away half of their pokemons' bodies at once. As a result, Domino and Annie, though alive, were now dropping like flies, their pokemon no longer alive. Screaming with fright, the two crashed against the ground from high up, the only thing that saved them was their pokemons' dead bodies cushioning the impact from their drop before disintegrating into dust. Both however were knocked unconscious from it.

Damn it, I used too much energy! Mewtwo cursed at himself as he once again began to ready his attack, concentrating his power to focus the energy into his next and hopefully final attack to end this once and for all. "Ash, everyone, just hold on a little longer!"

Down on the ground, Ash saw Mewtwo's attack and saw two Rockets drop from the sky into the nearby forest near the stadium but didn't dwell on that. Instead, he focused on his pokemon who were still doing their absolute best to keep the relentlessly struggling King Dragonite trapped. Every time the behemoth would get a little loose, his pokemon would increase the amount of roots or rocky layers to keep him from getting free. But he could also see that his pokemon couldn't hold on much longer, sensing their energy levels dangerously low. When Gardevoir fainted after launching one more Moon Blast against the Dragonite, Ash knew that they couldn't survive much longer. "MEWTWO!" he yelled out, catching everyone's attention in the field. "We can't hold on!" Blastoise then dropped to his knee, panting heavily before falling face first and he too lost consciousness. Only Lucario was left from that particular group who kept firing off Dragon Pulses even though he was practically running on fumes. "We won't be able to keep him trapped much longer! Please, hurry!" he shouted out.

Mewtwo heard Ash, even from way up in the sky. Sensing his feelings, the psychic feline knew what he was going through since he was in the same state. "I'M ALMOST READY! I JUST NEED ONE MORE MINUTE! THAT'S ALL I NEED!" The ball of white energy in his hands was growing and it started cackling again once more. The psychic feline was way past his limits, just like the aura guardian. But he couldn't, wouldn't, stop until the fight was well and truly over.

Ash heard him. Everyone heard the psychic feline. But he truly didn't know if they could keep the behemoth immobile for one more minute. Until a voice spoke up in his mind once more. "You can and you will my son. You have the power needed. Help them." As if knowing by instinct what his father meant, the raven haired guardian lowered one of his hands and held it in front of him towards his pokemon. A stream of aura energy flowed out from it, heading towards his pokemon. Once close enough, it split apart into four several smaller streams. Each one connected with Sceptile, Venusaur, Garchomp and Tyranitar. Instantly, the four of them had glowing blue outlines appear around them as their powers grew considerably. The strength of the traps used on the King Dragonite increased dramatically. The thorny roots increased in thickness as they coiled up even further along the giant's forearms, causing it to be pulled downwards and lean against the enormous aura shield. The jagged stone pits around its feet increased, growing to reach its knees, preventing further movement. He didn't send any energy to the aura canine because what mattered now was to keep the behemoth trapped. And it was also because he could feel that he was at the tipping point of using too much power that he just wasn't used to at all. His body was trembling, his bones were aching, and his muscles were strained to the point of tearing apart. The only thing keeping him together was how they were so close to finally ending this once and for all.

Completely stuck and unable to move, the King Dragonite roared with fury, frustration and fear as it violently struggled, the red glowing armor sparking from its actions. Butch and Cassidy, not receiving any response from Domino after attempting to contact her a few times, tried to lower its power capacity from within the satellite but were unable to. It seemed their secret weapon had become so consumed with its rage that it caused the systems to overload and no longer functioned properly. What's worse is that they had lost control of their weapon, as they feared. Using every ounce of its strength, the King Dragonite was able to slowly raise its body as it pulled against the roots around its forearms.

Astonished over this, Ash's eyes grew wide as he tried to channel more energy to his pokemon, even knowing what the consequences would be in doing so, feeling immense pain on his body from the strain it was being forced to go through. He could feel his bones rattling inside of him, his muscles and tendons starting to actually tear and his heart beating way too fast once more. But it was too late as his pokemon were unable to go on. Sceptile and Venusaur roared with agony before dropping in their spots passed out followed soon after by Garchomp and Tyranitar. The only one still conscious but panting heavily while dropped to a knee, was Lucario, who could do nothing but watch their adversary free himself from his confines.

With no more continued support, the Frenzy Plant around the dragon's forearms began to tear before completely ripping. Roaring in triumph, the King Dragonite immediately went to work on freeing its legs. Striking at the rocky formation around its left foot first, it took several strikes from his sharp and large claws to break it apart. Switching to his right foot, soon enough that part of his body was free too. Turning to the blue shield in front of him, he opened his mouth and a ball of white energy appeared in front of it. Everyone, no matter who it was, had a cold shiver go down their spines at what the enormous creature was about to do.

Right before he fired the beam however, a large Aura Sphere collided against the energy ball in front of his opened maw. Lucario used the last of his strength to fire one last attack before passing out, trying to buy more time for Ash and Mewtwo while a single of believing in Ash and Mewtwo flowed through his mind before he passed out. It worked, as the Aura Sphere caused the energy ball to detonate prematurely, exploding in point blank range of the behemoth.

Roaring with pain, the King Dragonite wobbled a couple steps back that caused tremors to rock the area before regaining its balance. Part of its helmet was broken off, revealing part of his face and the front of its body was covered in scorch marks. Roaring with fury, the King Dragonite began powering up another Hyper Beam as quickly as it could, the metal pieces on its body glowing a dark red as it did so.

"HEY, LOOK UP HERE YOU OVER GROWN SNAKE WITH WINGS!" Catching its attention, the King Dragonite turned its body around while still charging its attack and looked up towards the one who called out to it. Mewtwo was thankful for Lucario's assistance and was not going to let his last action go to waste. "THAT'S RIGHT, LOOK AT ME! FOR I AM MEWTWO, THE WORLD'S MOST POWERFUL PSYCHIC AND THE MOST POWERFUL OF ALL LEGENDARIES! AND I WILL BE THE LAST THING YOU WILL EVER SEE!" roared the psychic feline, the white ball of energy swirling around within his hands with great speed, white electricity arcing around it constantly. "GREET YOUR OBLIVION!" Bringing his hands forward towards his target, Mewtwo's concentrated Hyper Beam was fired with great velocity towards the behemoth.

As soon as purple feline shot his Hyper Beam, the King Dragonite countered with his own Hyper Beam. The two energy beams collided against one another and a flash of light escaped from it, blinding everyone who didn't look away. Locked in a power struggle, the two kept pushing against one another. The force behind the attacks was causing shockwaves to escape from their connected beams constantly that in turn tore apart the surrounding areas. Trees were uprooted and the stadium walls, though protected from the aura shield, were starting to form cracks from the intense pressure. The King Dragonite was giving an equal amount right back towards Mewtwo, who was shocked that the dragon was equal to him. Damn it! I must not be at full strength even with all the energy I collected. But no matter, I cannot let up, not even for a second! For as powerful as it is, this King Dragonite cannot have limitless energy! I only need to endure longer than it! Resolve set, Mewtwo continued supplying energy to his attack, even with his rapidly beating heart sending his body into overdrive with an incredible strain on him.

Ash kept up the shield, watching Mewtwo do his best against the King Dragonite. A short while passed, with the stalemate slowly changing, as the behemoth's monstrous strength starting to overpower Mewtwo's beam. Seeing this occur, Ash was startled and decided he needed to get involved as well. Focusing more energy into his gigantic aura shield while doing his best to ignore the strain on him, he made it grow even more until it came to the point that it pushed up against the King Dragonite's back. The power and properties from the shield caused the dragon great discomfort due to being mutated and its attention became divided. With this, the power behind its beam lessened somewhat.

Mewtwo noticed this all happening and Ash's father spoke within his mind once more, yelling out to him. "NOW'S YOUR CHANCE!" Heeding it, Mewtwo was somehow able to find what he needed within him and brought it out. With an incredible roar, the purple feline supplied more energy into his attack, causing his Hyper Beam to increase in size multiple times to the point that it completely overwhelmed its opposing beam, cutting through it as if it wasn't even there and slammed into the behemoth.

King Dragonite let out an agonizing roar of intense pain as the Hyper Beam bore into him while pushing him against the Aura Shield behind him, crushing him as a result. Unable to overcome its trapped position, the huge creature was soon engulfed by the psychic's attack and a massive explosion, one larger than ever before seen, rocked the area, breaking the guardian's shield as smoke covered the area. Many screamed in fright as they closed their eyes and shielded themselves with their arms out of instinct, even though they were still protected from the guardian's shield tanking the blast before breaking.

And within the cover of the smoke, something happened that nobody was able to see occur. A blur of pink energy shot through the sky, catching the purple feline who used up all of his energy and succumbed to his exhaustion and began falling out of the sky since he no longer was able to even stay floating in the air as he did previously. Losing consciousness rapidly, Mewtwo was barely able to keep his eyes open for a few seconds longer to only see a pair of pink eyes looking into his own. Who's…that? Only that went through his mind before completely going unconscious as he and the new arrival flew away into the distance…

When the smoke finally cleared, everyone saw the outcome of the explosion. Standing in an upright position, the King Dragonite had most of its organic body blown away, leaving behind the cybernetic parts that had melted into its burned and destroyed torso. The grotesque sight caused many to let out disgusted yelps and caused some to even vomit because of it. A moment later, the towering behemoth began to slowly fall backwards, crashing against the stadium wall, which crumbled under its sheer weight. The armored helmet around its head shattered as it hit the ground, freeing the dragon's battered face to everyone, who were able to see its eyes open yet glossy black and lifeless. No movement or sound was made after that and oddly, the corpse of the behemoth did not disintegrate into dust like the other mutated pokemon.

Though it pained him to see such an outstanding creature to be made into such a monster, he was glad that he was able to defeat it and put it out of its misery. Seeing that they had finally triumphed against Team Rocket, Ash finally relaxed some, allowing himself to fall backwards onto the ground. His aura disappeared as his eyes closed, taking in large gulps of air as he tried to calm his swiftly beating heart. His entire body ached. From the tips of his hair, all the way down to ends of his toes. He never felt so exhausted, so sore, so out of energy in his entire lift. But he was still aware enough to hear his father's voice as well as the sounds of hurried footsteps getting louder as multiple persons came closer to him.

"Ash…I'm so proud of you my son."

"T-Thanks but it wasn't just m-me."

"I know. But still, you've done an incredible job."

No more was said between the two as Satoshi gave his son time to recuperate energy along with giving him a chance to acknowledge the ones who moved to his side. Ash wasn't worried for he sensed who they were and instead tried to contact his partner in all this. But Mewtwo wasn't responding back. He was about to wonder if he didn't have enough energy to contact the feline or if the psychic had gone unconscious himself. But when he felt soft hands touching him, he decided to find out after making sure his loved ones were alright. Slowly opening his eyes while still taking long slow breaths, he saw his girlfriends and his mother kneeling around him, somehow able to gather around him with enough space for them all to do so. Expressions of relief, happiness and love were on each and every one of them over the tear streaks on their cheeks. A small smile formed on his face at the sight of them around him. "H-Hey…" He was only able to get that one word out before they all just grabbed onto him and cried out of relief and happiness that the nightmare was finally over and that their beloved and son was alive and well.

While they did that, others in the stadium began to feel relief fill their bodies and began celebrating the guardian's triumph in different ways. But for one other person, all she did was look at her savior and his group with a small smile, happy beyond measure that everything worked out in the end. Well, almost everything as she wanted just one thing and wondered when would be the best time to go to them and let them know…

Somewhere in the forests surrounding the Indigo Plateau Stadium, two women were lying unconscious on the ground. A beeping noise was consistently made from their equipment, attempting to catch their attention. That is until one of them began stirring, grumbling as she did so. "Ugh…" Slowly opening her eyes, the blonde haired woman let out hiss of pain all of a sudden as she attempted to move her arms. Looking at her arm, she saw that it was bruised up and her fingers were broken, extending outwards in odd angles. Gritting her teeth, she moved her other hand and pressed the earpiece making the noise. "D-Domino reporting i-in," she stated in low voice.

Static for a moment until she heard his voice. "Domino! Finally, someone answered! What happened?!" questioned the furious leader of Team Rocket.

"That….f-fuckin guardian and his psy-psychic cat h-happened!" growled the blonde, furious over what she went through and barely able to withstand the pain from her injuries.

"It doesn't matter! We didn't come all this way to announce our presence to then run with our tails between our legs! Get back there and finish the job!" roared his voice over the communication device.

Domino growled as she pushed herself to her feet and looked around. She saw Oakley nearby, unmoving while her left leg was bent in an odd angle. Limping over to her fellow executive, Domino checked her pulse and saw she was still alive but when she tried to wake her up, it was useless. Looking over herself, Domino learned that almost all of her equipment, poke balls and weapons were lost, deducing that the blast from that bastard Mewtwo must have blown them off of her. Looking at Oakley, she searched her to see if she had anything she could use but she too had nothing left on her person. "Fuckin damn it!" she muttered before replying back to him. "I'm unable to do so. Most of our equipment, poke balls and weapons are gone. And I have no more people to work with. I'm on my own," she informed her leader.

Giovanni raged on the other line and Domino heard glass breaking several times. She knew that he was breaking his crystal cups by throwing them at the walls of his office due to his rage. But what cut her off guard was a sudden slamming sound that made her flinch. Unknown to her, he had brought his fist down onto his desk hard, causing the sound. She didn't speak, nervous and slightly frightened over his actions. She had never seen him act like this before. Even when she heard silence for a bit, she didn't make a sound. Before she could think of something to say, she heard his voice again. "Damn it! Damn it all! This didn't turn out the way I fuckin wanted it to! But I will still win! Even if I have to sacrifice everything! I swear it!"

Domino's heart rate increased a bit over his rage filled tone of voice. "G-Gio, I'll do w-whatever it t-takes to win this for you," she told him.

"I know. But you're in no shape to do so. That's why I'm going to use it." Those few words made Domino become silent at once. She knew what he meant by that. "Get back to base at once."

"I don't have the means."

A sudden darkened glow to her side shifted her attention towards it. A mutated Abra appeared beside her with darkened red spots on his body along with what looked like a metallic headband around his forehead. "Now you do. I'm shutting it down. Get out of there."

Steeling herself, Domino nodded to herself. "Understood. Domino out." Static before silence once more greeted her. She knew what he was going to do. It was his emergency 'all or nothing' protocol. Knowing they only have a short time to flee, she knelt beside her unconscious fellow executive, placed her hand on the silver haired girl's back and then looked at the psychic pokemon. "Let's go." Eyes glowing a sinister red, Domino, Oakley and the mutated pokemon vanished from sight a second later.

It had taken them a little while to let out everything they were feeling while holding onto the raven haired guardian. But when they finally finished, feeling a bit better after doing so, Ash's girlfriends and his mother were able to calm down a bit and looked at him with loving expressions on their faces. Smiling at them, Ash was then helped up onto his feet thanks to them. Looking at them, he then moved his sight around. He saw the elites and champions nearby, looking at them also with relieved and happy expressions on their faces. He smiled a bit at them in return. He then faced the red head, whose eyes locked onto his. He had a neutral look on his face, even though he was glad that she was awake and alright who nodded back at him, thinking that things would be alright.

She was about to walk towards him and let him know how sorry she was and that she'll do anything for redemption. But then something weird was heard as everyone started feeling the ground quake slightly as some sort of unknown pressure was felt. Looking around wildly, everyone felt a chill going down their spines and even the raven haired guardian was feeling it. What the hell is causing this?! Is Team Rocket still attempting to fight?! How much more can-

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!"

"OH MY MEW!"

"IT'S FALLING OUT OF THE SKY!"

Those shouts from the frightened people in the stands cut off Ash's thoughts before the last thing he heard made him snap his gaze up towards the sky. And immediately after doing so, his eyes widened as his heart rate shot up once more.

What looked like Team Rocket's satellite was growing bigger and bigger with each passing second as it hurtled downwards right at them while enveloped in flames from the friction of the air it was cutting through.

Seeing this happening, many screamed in fright and chaos once again emerged in the stadium. People began to run for the exits as they pushed and shoved each other out of the way. Everyone was becoming lost, not knowing what to do or how to do things, even from within the guardian's group of family, friends and loved ones. For they all had fear grip their hearts and minds. No one was able to function properly.

Except for one.

Ash's eyes never moved away from the falling satellite from the moment he locked his gaze onto it. He knew that if that thing hit the ground, it would cause such grand destruction in a large radius, that no one would be able to outrun it in time. Even if they tried going underground, it wouldn't do much of anything. And there was no one else to help. All of his pokemon were unconscious. He tried to contact Mewtwo, but there was no response. He couldn't even sense him anywhere nearby anymore. That made him become concerned over what could've happened to his friend but unfortunately Ash had to focus on the incoming satellite. A whirlwind of emotions was swirling around him at that moment but two emotions were being felt more strongly than the rest.

Rage and fear.

Rage over everything that Arceus and Team Rocket had done and continued to do.

Fear over his pokemon, friends, family and loved ones becoming hurt or losing their lives due to their actions.

It was because of those two feelings being felt so strongly, even more so than before, that his heart rate had gone way past normal limits once again, beating even more speedily than ever before, pumping adrenaline and filling his body with it. His eyes glowed a bright blue as a glowing blue outline formed around his body before his aura emerged like a roaring fire.

Bringing out his aura made everyone stop moving and silence filled the stadium once more as everyone's attention was caught by the blue glow. His girlfriends, mother and Natasha saw this, their faces adorned with shock and astonishment as they moved a few paces away from him to give him room. They knew he was exhausted and barely conscious yet he was still fighting back. Their hearts began to thump so loudly that they could hear it.

Putting his left foot forward a bit to stabilize himself while bringing his hands together to his right side, the raven haired guardian began focusing his power. A small blue glowing sphere appeared between his hands. Slowly becoming bigger as he channeled more energy into it and soon enough white streaks of electricity began to appear around it with crackling sounds. His body ached as he readied his Aura Beam yet the young guardian kept pushing for he knew what was at stake. While doing so, Ash never once looked away from his target as he continued to power up his attack. After a few more seconds, with him almost ready to fire, he spoke. "Back away from me!" bellowed Ash. Stunned for a split second because of his sudden shouting, the girls, his mother, Natasha and even the nearby elites and champions put some distance between themselves and the raven haired guardian even though many didn't want to but knew he had a reason for it.

And that reason was soon shown. For when Ash brought his hands forward all of a sudden towards the sky and fired his concentrated Aura Beam, the aura energy launched so powerfully that it caused a shockwave to erupt that cracked the ground around the raven haired guardian. The Aura Beam reached the falling satellite and collided against it, slowing its descent. Keeping up the Aura Beam, Ash was gritting his teeth, doing his best to ignore the almost overwhelming strain on his body. Again he felt his bones rattle but it felt like they were beginning to break now. His muscles and tendons were starting to tear apart. Growling through gritted teeth, Ash did his best to ignore the pain but it was ultimately a fruitless endeavor. His aura died down a bit while the glow around him dimmed somewhat as his Aura Beam flashed several times, disappearing and reappearing within split seconds.

Damn it, I can't hold this forever! Ash struggled in holding his beam, pouring as much energy as he could into it but it just didn't seem that it was enough. The constant channeling of aura energy and the rushing wind around him only allowed him to hear the distorted screams of everyone in the stadium. But the ones that made him think and feel a million different things were the distorted and echoing screams from many, especially from his loved ones. He could feel his blood rushing through his veins as his heart continued to pump with such speed that he felt that any moment it could burst. His body was screaming for him to stop, the pain overwhelming his senses to the point that he was beginning to feel numb. It's not enough! I need help! Mewtwo! Lucario! D-Dad! Anyone! Please! Help me! His aura dimmed even more, his aura beam thinning.

"ASH!"

"DON'T GIVE UP!"

"WE BELIEVE IN YOU!"

"WE WON'T LEAVE YOU!"

Barely hearing them, Ash turned his gaze slightly towards the ones yelling out to him. He saw their fear filled expressions. He saw the many new tears rolling down their cheeks, going over the dried streaks on their faces. He saw their eyes glued on to him. His heart skipped a beat seeing all of that and he looked back at the falling satellite. No! I won't let them die! Letting out a yell of rage, somehow he dug deep within and was able to supply more energy to his attack and the Aura Beam strengthened. Increasing in size a bit, the energy behind it began holding the satellite at bay in a stalemate. But then pieces began to break off the enormous space station and fell to the ground. The people there did their best to evade the falling debris and moved to go into the stadium tunnels to gain shelter.

Though he was able to bring forth more power, it still wasn't enough. Ash knew that he had to completely destroy the satellite but he didn't know how else. Even with his loved ones beside him, encouraging him, he couldn't find that extra bit of power. Once again he tried contacting Mewtwo or sense him but there was nothing. His gaze lowered a bit as he thought. Not enough…I need more power. My pokemon are out for the count. Mewtwo is gone. I'm on my last legs. I need to finish this…but I can't do this with such little power. How can I?!

"Did you already forget what I told you my son?"

His father's voice spoke up within his mind and Ash closed his eyes while holding the beam. "Dad! D-Dad…I haven't. But I have nothing left! And it…it…hurts so much just keeping this up!" Silent tears escaped from his closed eyes, slowly trailing down his cheeks as he admitted to someone about not being able to overcome the pain he was feeling.

"I know it's painful my son. But trust me; there is far worse pain as you very well know. Don't allow that pain to come to pass. You can do this!"

"But I've already given it everything I have and it's not enough!"

"Remember what I told you about aura guardians! We have almost limitless potential! Now bring it out!"

Ash shook his head slightly. "I have! I've brought everything out! It's not enough! I have nothing left!"

"You're wrong! You have much more left in the tank! And you're going to bring it out and use it right now! And even if you have, use what's around you! Be one with aura! Because if you don't, then say goodbye to everyone you love and care about!" Ash felt a tremor go through his body that had nothing to do with the pain. "You don't have a choice my son. I know you're on your own. I know you're half passed dead. But if you don't do this now, then everyone is dead. Everyone. Your friends. Your pokemon. Your mother. Your girlfriends. Everyone. Dead. Is that what you want?!"

"No! Of course not! I just-"

"No! You can overcome this! I believe in you and so do many others! You are an ascended Aura Guardian! You cannot allow such small things as fear, doubt and self pity hold you back anymore! Do whatever you have to do to win! To ensure your loved ones survive! You can do this!"

Ash heard his father's words and each one crashed into him. Though his body was still under incredible strain and he could feel his body starting to break down, his spirit was revitalized as he remembered. Memories of good times between himself and everyone he cares about and how he promised to protect and help them no matter the cost. He remembered training with his pokemon, overcoming their limits and growing more powerful with each passing day. He remembered spending time with his mother, telling her of his adventures and experiences whenever he went back home. He remembered his travels and all the friends he made. He remembered the times he spent with his girlfriends and how much each interaction and time spent with them was something he treasured. And then, recent memories played in his mind as he thought about his loved ones.

Walking on the beach at night with Misty.

Sitting underneath a tree with Dawn at the lake.

Having the chicken wing eating contest with May.

Playing theme park games with Serena.

Viewing the entirety of Saffron City with Sabrina while on top of Sliph's building.

Watching over Sarah's training and giving her advice.

Listening to Anabel's stories about her life as a Frontier Brain.

Walking around Pallet Town with Leaf as they joked with each other.

Just being with Cynthia when she needed him after she argued with the elites.

His drinking challenge with Liza.

Dancing with Clair in the club.

Shauna and Lizabeth listening to him when he was in a funk.

Battling with Giselle and seeing how much she's changed into a better person.

Being able to talk with Daisy Waterflower and how she's able to say what he needs to hear.

All of those memories flowed through his mind, making him become filled with emotion. Even though he was feeling agonizing pain, those memories and many others that continued to pass through his mind, allowed him to ignore the strain on him. Arceus…he didn't lie about one thing though since even Ragnarok confirmed it. They still have time. Two years. I can give them two years. Nodding slightly to himself, Ash finally came to terms with what he had to do in order to protect everyone he loves. At least for now. "Dad…"

"Yes, my son?"

"…I'm sorry…and thank you."

"Me too and you're welcome."

"And Dad?"

"What is it?"

"…it wasn't easy was it? Breaking a promise?"

"No, it wasn't. But it made things a little easier when I thought about the reasons why. But, why ask that?"

"…"

"Ash?"

"Dad…thank you for everything."

"Ash?!"

"Just do something for me please Dad. Come back home and take care of Mom. And if not too much trouble, look after the girls. Help them prepare for the darkness that's coming…"

"ASH?! What are you saying?!"

"…Goodbye Dad."

"ASH?! ASH! WHAT ARE YOU-"

Ash cut off the aura link between himself and his father as he opened his eyes. Turning his gaze towards his loved ones, the raven haired guardian gave them a soft smile. "It's gonna be okay!" he told them, slightly yelling so they could hear him. The girls, his mother, Natasha and everyone else nearby stopped what they were doing and locked their gazes onto him, if they weren't already. "Mom…thank you for everything. You're the best parent anyone could ever ask for. I love you." Delia had her eyes water and wanted to say something but couldn't, frozen over everything that was going on. Ash then looked at the red head nearby and her heart skipped a beat when he smiled softly at her. "I forgive you Natasha. Just promise me you'll be better from now on." Seeing her unable to respond or function back but knowing she heard him, he shifted his eyes towards his girlfriends. "I promise you, all of you, that you'll walk away from this. Remember to never give up, to always have hope! Watch over one another, help one another and never let fear take over!" His words lifted their spirits slightly but also made them wonder a bit as to why he was saying such things now. But he continued speaking and they listened. "Find Mewtwo, he's the last hope! Do everything that he says! I believe in you!" Those words caused each of them to become filled with something else entirely as a shiver went down their spines. "Remember this and never forget. I'll be watching over you all and I'm sorry that I'm going to have to break my promises…" It was those words that finally made them break out of their stunned states, moving closer to him while some of the girls blurt out some things as they couldn't hold it in anymore.

"Wait, what do you mean?!"

"Ash?!"

"What's going on?!"

"Ash?!"

"Why are you saying these words?!"

Ash didn't say anything for a moment. Until a one sided smile formed on his face as he looked at them drawing closer to him but then stopped, unable to get any nearer because of the blowback from his Aura Beam. Ash continued speaking after they stopped moving towards him. "Misty, May, Dawn, Serena, Cynthia, Sarah, Anabel, Leaf, Sabrina, Shauna, Lizabeth, Liza, Clair and Daisy… I love you." Hearing him say those three words out loud in front of everyone else made them suddenly realize what he was saying. But before any of them could say anything or attempt to even try to do something, Ash said one last thing to them in a strangely calm but also slightly low tone of voice but they were able to hear it clear as day even with so much noise around them. "Remember me…" Each and every one of them had their hearts drop to their stomachs and they felt that they couldn't breathe all of a sudden after hearing those final two words, unable to move or say anything at all.

Smiling at them for a moment, Ash then moved his gaze back towards the falling satellite. His smile disappearing as a scowl formed instead, he concentrated on what he needed to do, ignoring the sudden screaming and shouting from the girls. Streaks of aura energy appeared in the air around him as they just formed out of nothing as they connected to him. He was drawing energy from his surrounding environment and what it held, from plant life to people, focusing it within. And then, his body began glowing a bright blue, as the symbol on his chest glowed brightly with glowing blue veins spreading out from it and heading towards his hands. The raven haired guardian could feel his body break down as the sudden influx of so much energy, unable to fully contain it. Not knowing how much more he could last, he decided it was now or never.

"RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Ash let out an incredibly loud and ferocious roar that drowned out all other sounds for the moment. as an incredible burst of aura energy shot from his hands that caused a shockwave of power to escape as well, pushing everyone backwards while even throwing many off their feet. The aura beam swelled in size to the point of being as large as the satellite itself, consuming it entirely. It was the largest attack anyone and everyone there had ever seen, bigger than even the King Dragonite's or Mewtwo's Hyper Beams. After engulfing the space station within it, a few seconds later it began to break apart because of the overwhelming power behind the beam of aura energy before exploding. The explosion was contained by the beam but an incredibly bright light flashed through the area, causing everyone to become blinded by it.

After some time, the people in the stadium were able to finally see again. Looking around, they saw that the satellite was gone, having been obliterated into dust. Seeing that finally, at long last, the nightmare had been finished, many people began to cheer in happiness and relief.

"IT CAN'T BE!"

"AAASSSSSSHHHHHHHHH!"

"NOOOOOO!"

Shrieks and screams of pain, misery and sadness cut through the cheering and suddenly the entire stadium went deathly quiet once more as many looked to find the reason why. And find the reason they did. For a group of girls, one middle aged woman and a certain red head were on the ground, sobbing uncontrollably while most of them let out curses, screams and shrieks consisting of their despair while never moving their tear streaked gazes away from what they were looking at.

And what they were looking at was their beloved unmoving as he stood with his left leg forward a bit along with his arms still extended upwards towards the heavens with his gaze still looking up. But the thing that was wrong, that made everyone feel up with horrible feelings, was when they realized what had happened.

Ash Ketchum, the last true aura guardian who was also their savior and winner of the Spirit Tournament as well as the next possible Pokemon Master, was now encased within a transparent sphere made out of aura crystals after sacrificing himself to save everyone…
