The Forest
Once the Pokémon were all healed, and everyone rested Brad went to the bulletin board. Brad sees one request that says, "Meet us outside of town by the forest to help us through route 1." Brad said that would be easy because he helped the scientist with the research. So, he decided to help this kid through the woods. When he made it to the forest it felt weird because he did not see the kid there. What brad did find is a team of people who were all wearing a lab coat and all back with a yellow symbol on their chest. It seemed suspicious when Brad got grabbed from behind.
"Hey you twerp give me all your Pokémon. We are here studying Pokémon and stealing them from dumb kids that follow the bulletin board to their doom." Said the weird looking grunt. "You will never take my Pokémon they are my friends and my companions." "We are Team Ancient we are stealing Pokémon to study Pokémon. We are trying to fin lucrative ways to use Pokémon. Now give us your Pokémon before we have to use our ancient Pokémon on you." Said the Grunt. "Now do you really think that I am going to hand over my Pokémon to an evil, ugly looking villain like you. You are not even good at stealing Pokémon from kids. How do you think that you are going to profit off of Pokémon. I bet you could not even beat me in a battle, and that is what you are going to have to do." Brad said. The grunt retorted "Well I have been battling since you were knee high to chicken. I almost feel bed for beating on a little kid but honestly you are a little feisty, and a punk kid. I am going to destroy you in this battle." Brad laughed while saying "Feisty feisty stop flirting and battle me."
When the grunt recovered from the burn of being accused of flirting. He used a Omanyte, and Kabuto. Brad used Bulbasaur and immediately used Razor Leaf that hit both of the Pokémon that immediately fainted. Then a Omastar came out to fight for the grunt. The problem comes when the Omastar fainted just as fast to a vine whip attack. The grunt steams with furry that he was defeated that quickly, but how was he supposed to know the kid had a grass type Pokémon. Another grunt came over and said "Hey you lost to these kids. I am going to make him regret going up against Team Ancient." Then the second grunt called upon his Cubone and Gastly. Bulbasaur used vine whip to grab the bone of Cubone. While Gastly licked Bulbasaur. The Cubone wrestled away his bone and then threw the Boomerang attack with the bone on Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur used Razor leaf and Cubone used the bone to try and knock down the leaves but still got some damage. Gastly used Hypnosis on Bulbasaur which made him fall asleep. Then Gastly ate the dreams with Dream eater attack which replenished Gastly's health. The Bulbasaur woke up and beat down Cubone with some vine whip attacks. Making Cubone fall down and faint. Then Brad called Bulbasaur back into its Pokéball. Then he called out Sandshrew which used rollout on the Gastly that kept speeding up and making it more dangerous to get hit. Then Gastly gets hit with a powerful rollout. Knocking out the Gastly. Another grunt came over he called out five Pikachu. "We use this Pokémon for electricity for our labs! They will definitely beat your sorry Sandshrew." While he was talking Sandshrew pinged and ponged to each of the Pikachu hitting all of them and knocking them out as well. The grunts then all retreated because of the overwhelming victory of Brad.
Brad hurried back to the Trainer Club in Davison after this. He got there and told Scott that he must talk with him. He told Scott that one of the bulletin board was used by Team Ancient to help them try to steal trainers Pokémon. Scott was worried but refused to shut down the board until we know more about the situation. Brad said, "But they are going to try to steal Pokémon from young trainers and raise them for evil." Scott said "We are going to start filtering who can put help on the bulletin board. Also, we will filter the request. Frankly you probably should not have gone out to the woods to meet a kid."
The Battle Arena
On this day Scott announced a new crazy way to battle. It was a competition to be the last standing in a fight with thirty trainers. Brad decided that he would fight in the thirty-man battle arena. Now the trainers were allowed to use one Pokémon and they all had to go to the bid stadium at the Trainer Club. Now Brad did not think that he could win but that he could learn about Pokémon. Now the grand prize was another ten thousand club dollars, and then he could move up in the Trainer Club rankings. Brad put his Pokédex in and he was registered for the unethical battle royale.
All the participants stood on the dots that were numbered from one to thirty. Then Brad stood on the number twenty-five. It was clear that this was going to be hard. Now from his spot he could see all the way around the circle and there were three faces that were notable in the group about to fight the battle royale. The most notable trainers to Brad were Michael Hayden and Tyrus were all in the Battle Royale. Brad wondered what Pokémon he should use in the Battle Royale but he went with his gut when he heard the count down. "Go Rattata." Now that was clearly a disadvantage when a slew of big Pokémon came to the fight all around him. One man had a Machoke, another had Hypno, Nidoking and Parasect as well. Now it was clear that these could be the winners but the trainers started to team up against the other strong Pokémon. The Machoke and Parasect got taken out by three Pidgey. The Hypno was taken out by the Megahorn from Nidoking. Finally the Nidoking was the big one to take down. A Caterpie kept using string shot on the Nidoking the Pidgeys were knocking the Nidoking off balance.
Finally Brad met up with Michael and Hayden they declared a truce for right now and they would fight with one another. Michael's Charmander used ember on a horde of Caterpie. Now Rattata used hyper fang on another Rattata knocking out of the battle royale. Then Squirtle took down two different Geodude. The Pidgey that took down the Nidoking landed right in front of Brad and Rattata and they were beaten with a quick attack each. Then a pair of kids with an Oddish and a Bellsprout attacked Hayden's Squirtle. Michael saved one of the attacks from landing with ember, and Rattata attacked the other with hyper fang knocking both of the attackers out. A Machop tried to Karate chop Rattata and ended up getting bitten on the hand. This made the hand not usable for battle, and the trainer forfeited his stake in the match. It seemed like the stadium was getting smaller and smaller by that time five Caterpie attacked Rattata and the gang, and were promptly defeated by Quick Attack. Three Geodudes attacked and Squirtle took out the three Pokémon. Then a kid with another Parasect appeared with his friends that had a Scyther and Metapod. Charmander roasts them with an ember attack, and evolves in to Charmeleon. It was at that second that Squirtle nailed Charmeleon with a water gun attack. "We are the last three trainers. It is only fair to attack." Said Hayden with a laugh. Brad ordered Rattata to use a Quick Attack hyper fang combo, and Charmeleon does not look good. Squirtle attacks Rattata with a bubble attack that throws them back, and lets Squirtle to hit Charmeleon with another water gun attack, and Charmeleon falls knocking Micheal out of the battle. Then Hayden's Squirtle started to light up Brad knew that Squirtle was going to get a lot harder to beat because he evolved into Wartortle. Rattata slammed a quick attack on the shell of the Wartortle. Then used hyper fang on Wartortle. Rattata was not finished yet because it evolved into Ratticate. In a move to finish the battle Ratticate ended the Battle Royale with a Take down attack.
Now the battle was declared that Brad had won the Battle Arena. That means that Brad would rank up in the Trainer Club ranking. Scott said "I am proud of you kid. I think that you might be a child prodigy at this point. You have three fully evolved Pokémon and keep winning the special matches in the Trainer Club. You got real spunk, and you can win the whole thing. You might be the head trainer over all of the clubs soon." Brad's rank was brought down to nine thousand eight hundred and fifty.
New Friends
On this day Brad sent away Beedrill, Buterfree, and Ratticate to Professor Cypress, and his spot in the ranch. Today he was going to cash in his winnings from the tournament, and the battle arena. Brad is going to get all the Pokeballs that he can get because he wanted to catch some new Pokémon for his collection and to catch them all. In the end Brad bought 20 Pokeballs because if he spent it all he would have to many Pokeballs.
In the forest Brad started looking for Pokémon. Now the first Pokémon that brad found was a gaggle of Caterpie. Brad used Bulbasaur to use razor leaf to defeat the number of Caterpie that was before it. Then a horde of Rattata attacks Bulbasaur but before Bulbasaur attacked a Pokémon came out of a tree and defeated all five of the Rattata with a flurry of low kick attacks. Bulbasaur used vine whip to hit it right on the back. Then it was clear that the Pokémon was a Mankey with an attitude. The thing would fight anyone that would get in its way. Mankey used scratch on Bulbasaur on the bulb. When Mankey pulled back he was in the perfect fighting stance defending his body. The two Pokémon started to spar with Bulbasaur's vines, and Mankey's fist. Then Bulbasaur wrapped his vines around his fist, and made Mankey play why are you hitting yourself. After this the Mankey was very tired and fell over in defeat. As soon as Mankey fell Brad threw a Pokeball and capture Mankey.
The next Pokémon that Brad saw was a Pidgey. Now Pidgey was all around a weak Pokémon but completing the a Pokédex means capturing them all. The Pidgey was near a spring were it was trying to take a Magikarp, but was failing because of its small size. Bulbasaur uses Razor leaf to attack them both. The small Pidgey was knocked off its guard. Then a Spearow swept down to get Magikarp, but Brad was quicker with the Pokeball. Neither Pidgey or Spearow was happy about losing dinner so they attacked Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur used Razor leaf to knock out and catch Pidgey. With one tackle attack Spearow was down and caught. It was clearly a good day with a good catch of Pokémon that brought Brad's total of Pokédex entries to 14.
Now after a long rest Brad begin to start training his new Pokémon. Brad started looking for Pokémon and found 6 Rattata trying to fight one Mankey. Spearow started the attack and hit fury attack on 3 different Rattata. Now the Rattata attacked the Mankey with quick attack. Then Spearow beat a Mankey with a peck attack. The Rattata used tackle on the Spearow, and Spearow countered with fury attack knocking out all of the Rattata.
While relaxing in the forest away from my pack a troop of Mankey attacked. Brad sent out his new Pidgey. Then Pidgey attacked with gust attack as quick as possible. This knocked one of the Mankey off and out of the fight. The Pidgey skillfully flew and dodged many of their attacks. Pidgey nailed one with a Wing attack. The karate chop and low kick were coming from every direction. Then Pidgey knocked two Mankey out with a gust attack. There are three more Pidgey, and the size of Pidgey was moving fast. This made the Pidgey where it was almost impossible to hit. Then Pidgey used a gust attack on the Pidgey knocking out one of the Mankey. Then last two Mankey were standing close and Pidgey knocked out both with a double wing attack.
In this underly wild day ten little Rattata attacked, and it was lucky for Brad that he had caught the Mankey. Mankey used Karate chop on a Rattata knocking it out. Mankey got hit with three quick attacks before he could land a low kick on one Rattata. Then a idea happened Rattata would be tripped by low kick. So Mankey tripped two more with low kick. Mankey took a defensive stance and when one got close destroyed it with a low kick to the face. Then two got close to with a hyper fang and they were met with a karate chop. Both of them fall to the ground. The last three jumped Mankey at the same time but was met with a fury swipe attack and all three fell to the ground making Mankey much stronger in battle. After good day of training and catching Pokémon Brad returned to Davison Trainer Club.
The Festival
This was a day that Brad looked forward to every year. It was the day of the Magikarp Festival. It was always fun for the kids when they had games, and competitions that are fun to watch. The difference this year is that he has a Magikarp this year to compete and have fun with. The first thing to do was to leave the Trainer Club and run around town to find all the games.
The first game that Brad saw was a game that gives you a minute to hit a button in the air with a great splash attack. You had to do it the most times in a minute to get the prize. Five Magikarp trainers got together to have a splash battle against the other trainers. Magikarp used splash vigorously for a minute, but it failed to win. Then Brad said that he would try again until he won the battle. Trying to make Magikarp have the strongest splash attack of all time. It seemed that Magikarp took a lot of training to act quick instead of trying to jump high. When Magikarp learned to jump fast, Finally, he won the game.
The next thing that Magikarp and Brad did was distance training for Splash to see how far it would take Magikarp. Magikarp would not go very far in the first few attacks but when it started to understand it would launch itself the distance of meters and meters at a time. This made Magikarp have a super strong tail that would make him a big strong Magikarp. It was official this Magikarp was top percentage.
Finally, Brad saw the biggest part of the Magikarp festival every year. The Magikarp waterfall. If the Magikarp jumps the waterfall it will evolve into Gyardos. If they cannot then the Magikarp is not ready to evolve. The Magikarp waterfall was not a real waterfall, but a artificial waterfall made every year in Davison to celebrate Magikarp. Now Brad's Magikarp finally got its chance to clear the forty-foot waterfall. It was clear that it would not be a easy feat for Magikarp. Magikarp pushed off the ground in the perfect formation. You could hear it squeal on his way up "Magi Karp". Then it cleared the waterfall by another forty feet. It was an astronomical jump. Then Magikarp fell into the pool at the top of the waterfall, and that is when it happened. Magikarp evolved in Gyardos.
Now that Brad got 15 Pokémon and got to the top evolution to many of his Pokémon. He made the decision that it was finally time. He needed to go to Lyonon to become a better trainer. He needed to go to Lyonon to get more Pokémon in his Pokédex. Now it was time for him to get better in his journey and to fight for the position of head trainer in the Trainer Club. Lyonon was also the next step for the gym challenge. It might be a long time before he made it back to Davison. This was his hometown that he had never left. That would be a very difficult thing to think about by a ten year old but it was time for Brad to take the next step in his journey to be the greatest master of Pokémon.
The Kidnapping
Now Brad has gone through Route 1 many times before just to capture Pokémon and help people. It was not that big of a deal that he was going through this route 1 another time. For most trainers this was a dangerous forest because weak level Pokémon were going to attack them, but Brad had proved himself multiple time that he could keep up with them. If Brad could stay on the path, he would make it to Lyonon. So, Brad started on the path and was hoping to make it to make it to Lyonon by night. Towns in Manji were not very far apart from one another.
When Brad had ot made it that far into route one he saw a man in a lab coat. He immediately hid behind a tree. The last time he saw a lab coat in the wood it was not a good scenario. So, Brad hid from the stranger just in case it was a Team Ancient grunt. Brad then noticed that this plan was not going to be as easy as he though because the Team Ancient grunt had kidnapped a trainer to take his Pokémon. The trainer was what looked like a rich boy. Someone who would use a Full Restore when a potion could have been used. Brad stepped out from behind the tree and yelled "Hey you bully stop picking on that kid." Then the grunt said "Sweet another kid I can steal his Pokémon too."
It was at that second that the Grunt summoned all six of his Pokémon at once. They were all Omanyte. Unfortunately for the grunt Brad sent out Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur used Razor Leaf and took all of them out at the same time. Now the boost of experience made the Bulbasaur evolve into Ivysaur. Brad's first Pokémon from the Professor finally evolved from Bulbasaur into Ivysaur. Now it seemed like the journey was really starting. Brad finally evolved his starter Pokémon. Brad had felt like when Michael and Hayden evolved their starters at the same time that he was some how behind but finally Brad had Ivysaur. The battle was completed with one move and that gave the strength to evolve.
The grunt yelled "Hey you cannot beat me that easy! What is it to you that I am stealing this rich kid's Pokémon? His daddy will just buy him another one. I will probably steal that one to but what is that too you?" "First, I love battle. Second, I hate team Ancient because they steal Pokémon. Third kidnapping people is the wrong thing to do. I guess someone without a conscious could only be that ugly in the soul and in the face. Do yourself a favor and buy a mirror. As long as I am a trainer, I swear that Team Ancient will never prevail over the great Manji region." Brad explained. The grunt responded "Your explanation is clear, but I want you to know one thing. One day Team Ancient will rule the world." Then Brad freed the kid from his bonds, and he thanked him and departed.
A Shocking Horde
While on the road to Lyonon town Brad stumble upon a meadow. The meadow was filled with different kinds of Pokémon. The meadow was a nice place to relax for Brad and his Pokémon gang. They decided to take a short break after the attack of a Team Ancient grunt. Once all of the Pokémon were out of their Pokeballs they started to play a game that tried to keep the ball off the ground it is simple but taught the Pokémon accuracy and power. Then the Pokémon started playing a game of Gridiron (American football). Ivysaur, Sandshrew and Pidgey were on one team while Gyardos Spearow, and Mankey was on the other team. The first down Ivysaur threw the ball to Pidgey but was intercepted by Spearow. Spearow was brought down right in front of what they were using as the end zone with a gust attack from Pidgey. Mankey started the next play throwing the ball to Gyardos which was caught by the tail for a touchdown. Team Mankey was beating Team Ivysaur seven to zero. After that Ivysaur handed it to Sandshrew who used rollout to quickly get around the other team which tied the game. The problem is that while Sandshrew made the touchdown it hit a Pikachu that was not happy about being attacked.
At that moment a group of Pikachu attacked Sandshrew. Brad returned his other Pokémon to their Pokeballs to insure their safety in this fight. This is when Sandshrew starts to dig into the ground. When the horde were running around trying to find Sandshrew. Sandshrew pops up and knocks out one of the Pikachu. Then the Pikachu land six quick attacks in quick succession. The attack made Sandshrew a little disheveled. Then Sandshrew planted his feet and got his balance. Then the earth started to shake as Sandshrew dropped his leg on the ground. This attacked knocked out the six Pikachu that was trying to attack him. Brad realized that Sandshrew had learned magnitude attack. Brad threw a Pokeball at the biggest Pikachu. He also threw a Pokeball at the Pikachu with weird eyes because he wanted to send it to Professor Cypress. Then Brad learned of a Pokémon named Ditto from the Pokédex. With out expecting Brad had caught two different Pokémon. The Pokeball immediately disappeared from the wild and Pikachu went to the Professor's ranch.
From then on Brad realized that it was not the safest thing to do to just relax and play a game on the way to Lyonon. The safety of Route 1 was always questionable, but he would have to over come even greater trails to become a Pokémon trainer. The capture of another Pokémon on the way to Lyonon was a really shocking experience for Brad because he thought he caught all the Pokémon on Route 1.
The Love Untold
While Brad was still on his adventure to Lyonon he saw two Pokémon. One tried to give the other berry that he had on his horn. The other rejected the berry. It was simple these Pokémon were both known as Nidoran but there was a clear difference between the two. The female Nidoran ran off somewhere while the boy looked sad. Brad said "Hey buddy did you just get rejected? Can I help you to win the girl?"
Nidoran male looked at Brad questioningly. Then he looked and agreed to get help from the trainer. Brad used Spearow and said "Maybe if you were a better fighter you could win the girl." Then Spearow used Fury attack while Nidoran dodged. Nidoran got his evasiveness up to the point that he could dodge before Spearow started the attack. Then Nidoran started to use horn attack on a tree to get its toughness, and attack up. After a half an hour that great big tree was knocked down by the power of Nidoran's attack. Then Nidoran started to attack another tree getting its attack and toughness again. While training they all heard a squeal from a distance. It sound like a Nidoran.
The boy Nidoran and Brad ran to the spot where they heard the sound and Ekans was wrapped around the female Nidoran. It was making a face at the boy Nidoran to taunt him to attack. Then Nidoran boy used horn attack directly on the Ekans. The Ekans uncoils and falls off the Nidoran girl. In the moment the easiest way to get Ekans out of the situation was to capture it. That is what Brad did. Then Nidoran boy looks at Brad and presses the button on the Pokeball basically saying that he wants to go with Brad. Nidoran boy obviously did not care as much for Nidoran girl anymore. The problem with that is that Nidoran girl seemed to have hearts in her eyes now. So, she also chose to go with Brad as well.
Lyonon Town
Brad finally made it to Lyonon Town the first thing that he did was go to the Trainer Club. Brad healed his Pokémon to get them back to fighting health. Brad had never seen another town because he had never gone on a Pokémon adventure. Davison had everything that they needed. So Brad started to look around the town of Lyonon. It looked pretty simply a classic town. The simple of the town was Pokémon that looked like a lion, but it was a Pokémon that is never been seen in Manji.
There was one store front that looked suspicious though. It seemed like they would get a customer drag them in the back and they would come out with a new Pokémon. Now it looked like they were selling Pokémon which is something that does not happen except when bounty hunters are involved. Brad got closer to see what was happening. Then he got grabbed thrown in the back room. The grunt questioned "What are you doing here kid? Are you trying to spy on our business?" It was clear that Brad had gotten himself in another trap of Team Ancient.
The grunt said I can take you myself. Then used an Omanyte. Brad had a idea on how to get people's attention to get him some help. He sent out Sandshrew. Sandshrew used Magnitude. Omanyte was knocked out with one attack and the grunt goes running off. That alerts another grunt that use yet another Omanyte. Which took the same fate from Magnitude. Brad started looking around. And sees the computer flicker on and off in a weird way. He sneaks over to it, and it reveals that has a computer program on it. That is known as Porygon. They were distinctly hard to find. This one looked like he was trapped in his current state in the computer. A message popped on the computer "TaKe OuT ThE FLaSh DrIvE." Then Brad took out the flash drive from the computer and suddenly Porygon materialized in front of him.
Then a moment later a guy wearing a lab coat and no shirt with a tattoo of the Team Ancient symbol on his chest appears. He says "All hail Morrim. My name is Ponos. I am going to punish you for getting in our business here and ruining our hideout." Then he throws out Omastar. Sandshrew used magnitude on Omastar, and it was barely of any affect. Omastar used water gum for super effective damage on Sandshrew. Then Sandshrew burrowed underground and hit Omastar. Then Sandshrew used fury swipes on Omastar's tentacles so the Omastar could not use them and finished it off with another Magnitude. The battle did not end there because after that Ponos used Kabutops.
Kabutops then started assaulting Sandshrew with a lot cut attacks. Then Sandshrew started to glow and became Sandslash. Then he matched Kabutops with a slash attack for every cut attack. Then in a sneak attack Kabutops uses water gun right in Sandslash's face. Sandslash then backed up and did defense curl three times super-fast. Kabutops finally get over to him to start using cut attack again, but it simply was not doing anything. Then Sandslash used one more defense curl and started to rollout right into Kabutops. It hit him one time then he started to hit it away with cut attack. The problem for Ponos that Sandslash defense was just to high for those attacks. Sandslash kept speeding up and knocked Kabutops one last time. Ponos tried using his Aerodactyl, but it was out in one hit of rollout from Sandslash.
"One day One day Morrim will take care of all the people that stand in our way. You fight and you fight but you will be useless. You will be useless when we bring back the Pokémon of legend, and finish our ultimate weapon" said Ponos. Brad countered "Follow me if your henchman fight like this you will not even beat me, and I only have one gym badge. If I remember correctly your names translate to pain and death, but you guys can't even make a ten-year-old hard for breath in a Pokémon battle. You could not have picked more incompetent foolish idiots as your grunts. I take them down so often that I wonder if they aren't there just to help me raise my Pokémon's level." Then a cloud of smoke happened and Ponos was gone. Porygon then looked at Brad and then Brad understood and captured it.
The police came to the hideout and confiscated all of the Pokémon that had been taken and they were trying to sell. Officer Jenny said that they would try to find all of the trainers that lost their Pokémon and that they would investigate into this terrible team Ancient. They said that Brad should probably should not have been spying on Team Ancient. Brad should take care not to get not involved with this Team again.
The Ring Fight
When Brad woke up the next day he saw a super familiar face. "Ugh hey Scott, you work in Lyonon as well as Davison." Scott replies "My name is Scott but I am afraid that we have never met before. You probably are talking about my first cousin once removed on my father's side." Brad questioning "But… You look exactly like him. That family relation makes no sense…" Scott offended "Well it might not make sense to you but that is what happened. Hey there is a special match type today do you want to join. It is called the Ring Fight. You got to grab the ring and bring it back to your trainer. It happens in that ring over there. It is a tournament it will affect your rank and has a ten thousand Club dollars prize." Brad says, "Sure I will participate in this weird tournament that always happen at Trainer Clubs."
The fight began in a cage with one Pokémon in each of the four corners. Brad was confused on why they let him use Pidgey in a match like this. The ring dangled of the roof of the cage that they were locked inside of. The other three Pokémon that Brad's Pidgey would be fighting was Bellsprout, Machop and Mankey. The bell rings and Pidgey immediately goes for the ring but Machop jumps of the ropes and goes for a mega punch on Pidgey. Pidgey used gust to knock him back to the cage. Bellsprout catches Pidgey with its vines and pulls him down. Winning is not going to be that easy apparently . Mankey hits a scratch on Pidgey while it in Bellsprout's vines. Then Machop hits Pidgey with a Mega Punch for revenge for the gust attack. With the other vine Bellsprout starts going for the ring and Mankey uses Karate Chop on Bellsprout. Then Pidgey is released from the vines and uses gust on Mankey and Bellsprout they hit the cage. Machop is starting to climb the cage to get the ring. Pidgey then uses a wing attack to knock him back down to the mat. The it is clear that all three of them want to team up against Pidgey. They stand in a triangle and Pidgey uses Wing attack to knock all of the down, and out. Then Pidgey grabbed the ring and brought it back to Brad to win the Ring Fight.
In the semifinals of the Ring fight Brad is up against a Jigglypuff, Farfetch'd and Abra. The announcer says "In the last match the Abra got lucky taking the ring. The Farfetch'd beat people with his leak, Pidgey used the power of the air, and I uh do not know how Jigglypuff won." The bell rings and the two bird took flight Pidgey got hit with a fury cutter. Then returned with gust that sends him back to the cage. Abra was just randomly teleporting around the cage. Then wing attack landed on Abra when Farfetch'd was its target Farfetch'd hit a slash on Abra. As Abra starts to fall the three Pokémon hear it. "Jiiiiglypuuuuff jigglyyyyypufff" They all fall to the ground in a deep sleep. Jigglypuff jumps on the ropes and goes for the ring but falls a little bit short and knocks Pidgey with a foot. Pidgey wakes up and gives a great wind from its wings. The three Pokémon hit the cage hard then Pidgey goes to the other side and sends them to the cage on the other side of the ring. With all three Pokémon knocked out Pidgey grabbed the ring and brought it back to Brad for the win to the finals.
In the last battle of the Ring Fight Tournament The Pokémon were Mr. Mime, Nidoran Boy, Meowth and Pidgey. The bell rings and Mr. Mime immediately uses barrier but it messes up and traps him inside of ramp that Nidoran and Meowth climb. Meowth uses slash on Nidoran and Nidoran used hon attack. It was like a epic sword fight. Only broken up by whirlwind forcing both of them down to the ramp. Mr. Mime opens the barrier ramp and both of them fall in. Pidgey goes for the ring, but Mr. Mime catches it and throws him down. Mr. Mime uses Psychic to get the ring to its trainer, but the barrier breaks and Nidoran hits it with Megahorn. Meowth catches the ring on a claw, but Pidgey catches Meowth with a gust attack and grabs the ring. Mr. Mime steals Pidgey's glory by stopping it midair. Nidoran grabs the ring on its horn from Pidgey. It makes it to one final jump to its traier and is stopped by Mr. Mime. Pidgey starts a gust as soon as Meowth nails Mr. Mime with slash attack. Pidgey catches it in the air. Fortunately, brad was on the same side as Pidgey so Pidgey uses quick attack to get to Brad to win the finals of Ring Fight.
The last fight in the tournament was all Pokémon that could fly. Which was something that Brad thought would be common sense. The Pokémon that were fighting was Pidgey, Doduo, Beedrill, and Spearow. The three flying types all saw a odd man out. Spearow used peck on Beedrill. Pidgey used wing attack on Beedrill. Finally, Doduo used peck with both of its heads. Beedrill was out of the fight first thing. Now the fight was brought down to three. Pidgey flew towards the but Doduo used Quick attack to stop it. Spearow used fury attack on Doduo. Pidgey used wing attack on the legs of Doduo and Doduo fell to ground face first. Its head fell between the ropes in the ring. Doduo was stuck in spot. Spearow was transfixed on what happened to Doduo for one second to long and got hit with a quick attack from Pidgey. Then Pidgey zoomed towards the ring and brought the ring back to Brad for another win at the Trainer Club.
Scoot exclaims "Brad is the victory of another Ring Fight. That makes him the champion of the tournament. Winning him ten thousand club dollars and a better ranking in the Trainer Club." Brad was very happy that he moved up to up fifty spots to nine thousand eight hundred. Now Brad had a long way to go before making the Head Trainer spot in the Trainer Club but he knew that he could make it. After the fight Brad decided to go to the gym to get some information about the gym leader and the type of gym. It was a nice day but then a person walked up to Brad and said "Go to the mountains on route 2. There is someone who would like to speak with you. He goes by the name Morrim. He would like to talk to you about the recent attacks on Team Ancient members."
Team Ancient
Now Brad is not stupid. He knows that going to this meeting with this Morrim is dangerous. He also realized that if he does not go he could be attacked when he goes outside. He could even be kidnapped for not meeting with Morrim. When he explained this to Scott. Scott agreed that he should go with back up. The person never said that he could not bring people with him but the police might be a bit much. They might get noticed to easy and scare them off. The police were notified but decided that they would stand at a distance to make sure that they would not interfere with the integrity of the meeting.
When Brad made it to the place where they said that they would meet Brad saw three men. The looked like they were disgusting people. One guy with a dark brown mullet with a button-down shirt with too many buttons undone. One man with a mohawk with a leather jacket and no shirt. One lady in a purple dress, big hair and purple star on her face over here eye. The mohawk guy said "Hey there is the kid that the Morrim guy told us to pick up." The other guy said "Shut up he is going to know that we are trying to kidnap him." The lady gives them both a look that says you are both stupid. Then she sent out Hypno. Then the two other sent out Drowzee, and Jynx. Sent out Gyardos then said use bite attack on all of them. The Drowzee was defeated with one bite attack. Jynx tried use Lovely Kiss on Gyardos. Gyardos bit it instead of getting kissed. Then Jynx hit Gyardos with a Ice Punch attack. Then Gyardos started making a big wave that hit both of the Pokémon. Which is called a surf attack. Hypno then used Hypnosis on Gyardos which made him go to sleep. Then Hypno ate all of Gyardos dreams of swimming with Brad on its back. This restored the damage that had been done to Hypno from the surf attack. While Brad's Pokémon was distracted taking a nap the police tried to stop the fight but could not get there in time. Hypno used hypnosis on Brad. Brad passed out.
Brad was awoken and he saw a figure with a large purple robe and a long head of hair. A yellowish button-down shirt with a vest and jacket. "You are finally awake. I am Morrim. I paid those idiots to bring you here. I did not know it would take you so long to finally awake from your slumber. I could not send my regular grunts they do not seem to be able to beat you. My goal is simple I would like to take over the world with powerful Pokémon. My scientist has brought fossils back to life which makes them our iconic Pokémon. That is enough about those beneath me. Now here me I am Morrim the once and future king reborn from the legends. The king had a Mew, and he ruled his people fairly. We have been studying the Mew from the legends to get any sense of data about Mew. Look you have been standing in my way of getting data. I want to recruit you to the cause of Team Ancient, but I do not think that you are up for stealing Pokémon or even helping us steal Pokémon. Team Ancient will rise to power and defeat every kid like you that tries to challenge us to battle. We will win the world with the strength of our Pokémon. So, if you want to be able to ever have any quality of life you are going to help us raise Pokémon. It is either that or we are going to keep you here and give you food every day or so. Maybe we will give you water every week or so. You will have to ration your food. You will be stuck handcuffed to the bed until you wither away sometime after I have created my great empire that spans the whole world. You will spend about eighty years on a bed still serving your ever youthful Emperor. If you agree to help us, then you will sit in the lap of luxury. I will give you all the food that you can eat. You will be taken care of maybe one day we could find you wife. You can have kids, and you could simply be my right-hand man. Now I know that you think that we are evil, but we will bring peace and security to our new empire. Everyone will have enough food, health care, and everything that they will ever need. It is for the greater good that we create our new empire."
It was after Morrim's garishly long rant about how he wants to rule the world that Brad heard a great knocking outside of where he was being held. That is when Morrim started to retreat from the room and got away to the outside world. Morrim did seem to be afraid that this noise was something that was attacking the base. Brad did not know if he was supposed to be excited about the invaders or more scared of them than Team Ancient. Now it was at that moment that door fell in and a Nidoking was standing where the door stood. Now this did nothing to calm the nerves of Brad. Then he saw the trainer that owned the Nidoking and knew that he was going to get out of this base.
There was Michael and Hayden standing before him. Nidoking was beating all of the Pokémon that got a little to close. While Hayden's Cubone was using boomerang to take out all of the Pokémon that were a distance away. Micheal threw Brad his belt and bag. Then he said "It is time to go. We are here to save you. We saw you getting carried by the three mercenaries. We thought we should follow them and see what we could do to save you." Hayden said "Yeah this is a prison break, and we got to hurry out of here before we go to battle more Pokémon."
"Okay I think that we cannot get passed the grunts the way that way that we came. I think that we are going to need a distraction. If we can get a big group of them somewhere that we are not then we could probably get back our the front door. We are still going to have to fight some more Pokémon but I think we can do it." Said Hayden. When the idea of a distraction came up Michael got a really big grin on his face. "You need chaos? I can get you some chaos. Let's make for the chow hall, and if the have wooden tables we could light then on fire. You also make a good point break as much as you can on the way out of this Team Ancient base. Make the cost more than they can handle. Then they will not be able to recover this base on the outside of Lyonon. Chaos is what we need! Chaos is what you are going to get!"
Then Michael used Charmeleon and told him to climb on Nidoking. Charmeleon used flamethrower on everything while Nidoking used earthquake. It was two Pokémon terror machine. Then Hayden seeing the destruction abomination used Wartortle and Cubone which left a whole perimeter of area safe and unbeatable. Then Brad used Pidgey and Ivysaur covering the area with razor leaf to secure the air. They ran down the hall and were meet with five grunts using three Omanyte each. Pidgey flew close so Ivysaur could knock out Pokémon with Vine whip. Three attacked Nidoking and got hit with Megahorn. Then Cubone knocked the two with boomerang. Wartortle aced the rest with water gun.
The room that they entered next was a building used for storing Pokémon. Then Wartortle just started using water gun on all of the locks. The screech of the Pokémon was very loud and could get many grunts to show up here. They booth look at Hayden like what did you do that for. He just said, "Well it was the right thing to do." They made it to another hall it seemed like they were still not in the cafeteria that would be where they wanted to start a fire. Then three grunts headed there way. It seemed like they were using Pokémon that they had stolen because they did not have the signature Pokémon of Team Ancient. One grunt used a Machop and Hitmonchan. Then another one used Bulbasaur Oddish and Bellsprout. The last one used a Geodude Graveler and Onix. Brad attacked the Machop with a wing attack that made the Machop fall to the ground and knocked out of the battle. When this happened with Ivysaur still on its back Pidgey lit up and evolved into Pidgeotto. Michael used flamethrower on all three of the grass Pokémon. Hayden seemed like it was doing a dance with water gun and boomerang against the rock types. Finally, Ivysaur was using razor leaf on the Hitmonchan and Pidgeotto hit it with a gust attack. The assault on the enemy proved to be effective, and all of the enemy Pokémon were knocked out. Once all of the Pokémon were defeated the trio had to head to the next room.
They finally made it to the cafeteria, which means that it was time to commit arson. The trio brought all their Pokémon out and they started stacking wooden tables in a pyramid formation. Mankey was carrying tables and throwing them this was great exercise for all the Pokémon. Pidgeotto was quick moving all of the tables over all of the heads of the rest. It was soon that all of the tables were stacked in three different pyramids in the chow hall. That is when Michael yelled and got Charmeleon to use flamethrower on the pyramids. The smoke stacked high, and clearly sent a message all the way to Lyonon. Team Ancient has been defeated.
Then the trio went out the back door of the chow hall. They waited for the Team that was well equipped to put out the fire ran out to face the fire. The problem being that Michael had lit every hall and room on fire since the prison room. Seeing as it was as a lot fires they were not able to handle them all. That is when the trio snuck around the building to were the yard leading to the entrance was. No grunts were in sight, so they ran straight towards the gate leaving themselves open to attack. They hear a lady with one side of her head shaved on the side. With purple hair swooping down the other side of her head. "My name is Thana. I am a admin in Team Ancient my name means torture in the ancient language. What is exactly what we are going to do for you three when we finally capture you again. She blows a whistle and says let it burn you nitwits the prisoner is getting away."
The sea of Omanyte could befuddle any enemy. Now with the air advantage Brad hit the sea of Omanyte with a rapid succession of razor leaf attacks. Nidoking was the one to knock out, but with his double kick seemed to be taking out every single would be attack. Wartortle used surf knocking out a whole lot of them. For every Pokémon the trio could take out another would be placed with a Kabuto or Omanyte. Then Thana used her Omastar Kabutops and Aerodactyl there were about five or ten of each.
Ivysaur was making a pretty dent in all of the Pokémon when Ivysaur began to light up. That is when Ivysaur became Venasaur and evolved. Then the bulb on Venasaur flower on its back started to light up again and it cam clear that a Solar beam attack was about to happen. One good solar beam and the entire group could be destroyed. The trio realized this at the same time. Hayden yelled "Hey Michael we go to protect Venasaur while it charges up the Solar Beam." So Charmeleon used flamethrower on the from line of Omanyte and Kabuto. Which seems like it would be a weak move but knocked out a respectable amount. Then Wartortle the started to use rapid spin at a lighting speed pace to knock out every Pokémon that it hit. Then it was that moment when both of them started to evolve into Blastoise and Charizard. Hayden and Brad gave a look of concern to each other because Michael finally had his Charizard. It was a little bit annoying because now all the attacking Pokémon were twice as strong against Charizard. Now Michael recalled his Nidoking and then attacked the building instead of the Pokémon to get their attention. They tried to attack it, but Charizard was just to fast for them. Then it happened Venasaur used solar beam on all of the enemy Pokémon. They all fainted but, in the chaos, Thana ran away from the fight.
After the fight it was apparent that this base was grunt free. As if in all that chaos they just retreated from the base. So, Brad took this stellar chance to loot the base. Brad took all of the Omanyte, Kabuto, Omastar, Kabutops, and Aerodactyl. The trio agreed that they should be sent back to Professor Cypress. Now they each said that they would claim one of each Pokémon but would just leave them with the Professor until he had studied them. Now it was a good feeling that they were one of the only people to have these Pokémon that were not evil. Michael stated "I bet you these Pokémon could get us into other bases. If we ever need to sneak into a base." The other two looked at him like he was crazy.
It was at that moment Michael said something strange "Hey, Hayden, are you going to capture that Cubone?" Brad said "You have not caught that Cubone? It fought valiantly with you why did it fight with you against Team Ancient like that." Hayden and Michael looked at each other like someone just shot a Clefairy in front of them. Hayden stumbled "Well uh you see." Michael then exclaims "Team Ancient got his mom Marowak." Brad then says "They stole Marowak? Why would they do that?" Hayden says, "Well that is not exactly what happened." Brad was about to speak when Michael said, "Team Ancient killed the Marowak in front of us." Hayden explained "They wanted the baby but when they went for it. The mother protected her baby, and well died during the fight." Michael said "You ever seen a Marowak decay? It happens in under a minute was very traumatic for me." Then Hayden captured the little Cubone, and Brad knew that Hayden had become a much stronger rival.
They went back to the Trainer Club and talked to the police who were there. "Hey thanks for the back up at the base," said Brad. The office not used ot the amount of snark that h was getting from a child said "Watch how you talk to me son. You need to show me at least some respect." Brad replied "I am sorry but my friends and I just fought off a horde of Pokémon and we are tired. Now what happened to make the best that you can send is two ten-year-olds. I think I deserve to know." The officer said "I do not have to tell you about what happened. Stop being so arrogant child you probably only beat a few grunts." Brad retorted "Well you could probably see that the base was on fire. Why did you not come to the rescue?" The officer said "we did not see a fire anywhere near here. What are you talking about? Look out the window do you see a…" Looking out the window the officer did see the fire and how big it was, and how many possible people could have been there. "Well, I will tell you this. The two officers that were supposed to watch you fell asleep on the job. They have been reprimanded. Thank you for your help."
The Mountain
Now Brad decided to go back to the mountain today. Knowing that Team Ancient was not going to be anywhere near he thought it would be a good chance to see it. Without getting kidnapped this time. Now he asked Scott "hey what type of Pokémon does the Lyonon gym keep?" Scott replied oh it is a normal type of gym. A good fighting type would do really good against them. Maybe a Mankey would be good against him." Brad said "Well I have a Mankey I think I am going to train it in the mountains today. I am a little scared to go to the mountains since I got kidnapped but I figure I should go up there and see everything is okay."
Brad called Professor Cypress to get some different Pokémon with him to train in the wild of the mountain. Brad changed out some of his Pokémon. Brad kept Venasaur and Gyardos just in case something strong attacks in the mountains. He brought both of the Nidoran because he wanted to train them into Nidoking and Nidoking. Mankey because he wanted to train Mankey against the Rock types in the mountains for the Lyonon gym. Finally, Pidgeotto just in case he got lost on the mountain. Professor Cypress then said "Hey Brad there is something that I need to talk with you about. The Ditto that you sent well it has been having some… fun. Let's just say there are plenty of new Pokémon here at the ranch that are well yours. My idea is that I want to use them for my studying which you have already agreed to by using my ranch. What I am trying to say is can I make a living Dex for you. Like you now have two Caterpie. Can I use a Everstone on one so that it stays that way, and evolve the next? From now on if you have Pokémon fully evolved send it to me and you will have all of its devaluations as well. That Ditto has been busy and that is going to keep me busy. It is also going to excel my research by years ahead of what I was hoping for! If you would please let me go ahead and use this to make living Pokédex." Brad said with enthusiasm "sure Professor Cypress if it is going to help you!"
With the update to the team Brad head towards the mountain. Then he stopped by a stream that he had found in the mountains. Brad thought some Pokémon might try to come and get a drink from the stream. It also might have water types come to live in the water of the stream. Then a Pokémon popped out of the water it was a little Squirtle. Then Brad sent out Nidoran boy was just about to attack with a horn attack. It was then that a Charmander popped out they seemed like they did not like each other. Squirtle used bubble on Charmander. Then Charmander used scratch back in defense. Then it was a natural battle Squirtle hit hard with a water gun and Charmander was out. Then Nidoran boy used horn attack to finish off the Squirtle. Brad captured both Charmander and Squirtle in this battle. Once they were caught both of them got sent straight to the Pokémon Ranch.
Then a pod of Geodude attacked Brad. Brad saw this as a wonderful opportunity to get Mankey some experience in fighting. Mankey hit its defensive pose and the Geodude tried to use rollout on the Mankey. This was the best for Mankey because it would kick the first Geodude into the group of Geodude making all ten of them take damage. Then Mankey used Karate Chop on the first one then the second and so forth from there to knock out all of the Geodude one by one. Brad threw a Pokeball at the biggest Geodude and it went to the Pokémon Ranch.
While Bradley was exploring the mountains near the stream and he found a dried valley. It was a group of Clefairy they were all doing what could be described as a dance class. One was keeping the time, and the others were pointing in a certain direction. That is when the boulder that Brad was hidden behind vanished like it was teleported somewhere. Clefairy cannot use teleport though. It was doing a motion with its hands. Brad deduced that those Clefairy were using Metronome. What they were doing must have been an evolution ritual because the Pokémon behind it we Clefable, and they had just touched the rock behind them.
Now since the boulder was teleported away the Clefairy stopped and attacked Brad. Brad used the Nidoran duo. So many Clefairy attacked at one time. Every time a Clefairy would use follow me. The Nidoran would hit them with a poison sting and then it would be knocked out. The same thing happened over and over. The defense mechanism did not seem to be working for the Clefairy. It happened that a sneaky little Jigglypuff was trying to get on the moon stone action. The problem is that it could not get anywhere near the moon stone. So, it helped Brad defeat the hordes of Clefairy. Finally, the last Clefairy was defeated, and Brad said to Jigglypuff "You fought valiantly do you want to join me?" So, Brad caught both Jigglypuff and a Clefairy. They both used the stone to evolve. Now the two Nidoran and fought of sixteen different Clefairy. Then Nidoran duo both evolved into their perspective Nidorino and Nidorina. They both ran up to the moon stone and evolved into Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Now Brad decided that these two deserved a rest, so Brad sent these two to the ranch with Clefable and Wigglytuff. Brad got his two new Pokémon Squirtle and Charmander.
After that Brad went into a tunnel that could be identified as a secret. So, Brad used the Secret Tunnel to take refuge for a quick rest but that rest was interrupted by a towering Onix. That is when Brad used Squirtle and screamed used bubble attack. That hurt the wild Onix, but it threw rocks at the Squirtle. Squirtle used rapid spin and bubble to cover its surrounding area. When Onix went in for a bind it took massive damage from the bubble. Onix did get Squirtle in the bind. This is where Squirtle used withdraw and water gun. Which nailed Onix in all of the different rocks. The Onix let go of it victim but did not give up because then it tried a Bide attack. That is when Squirtle used a water gun in the face of Onix. Onix just stood there and took another Water gun attack. The power that Onix used with Bide missed Squirtle and hit the wall of the tunnel. Then Onix fell over from the pain and Brad caught Onix.
Well the Onix hitting the wall had its consequences. A horde of Paras attacked Brad with using stun spore and Poison powder on Brad. Now Brad was lucky because he had Charmander with him. Brad used Charmander which attacked with ember. When it hit a Paras, the Paras would be knocked out because of a four-time weakness that Paras has to fire. Charmander had beat five when a Parasect attacked with fury cutter. That landed for not a lot of damage. Then Charmander used ember again but kept attacking Charmander with fury cutter. Every slice the more damage that fury cutter did. Finally, Charmander got behind Parasect and used ember to defeat Parasect. Brad then captured both the Parasect and Paras. Brad decided to go back to the Trainer Club after this stroke of luck that he has had.
Just Makeying Around
It was another day Brad did not feel like doing much and resting today. Brad thought that he might get into a battle at the Trainer Club. Even though he did not want to do much a battle would be a good halfway point. When he put his Pokédex in the terminal it said that he would battle. A girl who used all normal type of Pokémon Manji did not have many different types of normal types with a total of six pure normal types. Brad thought that it would be good to battle her to warm up for the Lyonon city gym.
When the battle began the girl used a Ratticate. Brad used a Mankey because knowing she was a normal type trainer he came prepared. Ratticate used a quick attack on Mankey. Mankey used low kick attack again. Then Ratticate got Mankey with a hyper fang attack. It got so close that Mankey it with a karate chop attack. Then it let go with its teeth and attacked Mankey with another quick attack. Then Mankey used a low kick. Then Mankey dodged a quick attack and tripped Ratticate with low kick. Then Mankey learned a new move which was cross chop on Ratticate which knocked out Ratticate.
Then the girl said "I am going to use my cutest Pokémon. Go Eevee!" Immediately Eevee started using sand attack on Mankey. Then Eevee used a bite attack on Mankey's leg. Then followed it with a Quick attack which knocked Mankey off balance. During all of this the Mankey was flailing it arm around because it could not see. Then Eevee used double kick on Mankey. Which hit the sand out of the eyes of Mankey. Mankey made it look like his eye sight was not fixed and countered the next move with a dodge and Cross Chop that knocked Eevee out of the battle.
The girl had lost two Pokémon, and she was backed up against a wall. The battle was not going in her way. The next Pokémon that she used was a Meowth. It became a battle of fist versus claws. When Meowth tried to use scratch Mankey would hit with a karate chop. Then Meowth was thrown back and Mankey used karate chop. The crowd that had formed counted one as a joke. Mankey used karate chop again. The crowd jeered two. Then again Mankey used karate chop. The crowd went crazy three. Then Mankey hit it with karate chop and Meowth was knocked out. The crown yelled "four and he is out." The girl was getting disgruntled from the negative press.
Her last Pokémon was her ace Pokémon "I found this one in the mountains. I have wanted to use it if it was not for the Trainer Club, I would not be able to afford having this Pokémon. Go Snorlax!" Then Snorlax immediately tried to us body slam on Mankey, but Mankey was way to fact to fall for that. When Snorlax was stomach down on the ground Mankey used a plethora of Karate chop attacks. It felt like eighteen years but Snorlax finally stood up. Then Snorlax tried to go for headbutt, but Mankey used low kick attack. This made Snorlax back to the ground. It felt like the ground shook when Snorlax feel. It did massive amounts of damage. A cross-chop attack took the Snorlax down winning Brad the battle.
Now Brad had spent this day resting with a single battle he moved all the way up from nine thousand eight hundred to nine thousand seven hundred and ninety-nine. That was underwhelming but for one battle he guessed that was fine. After the battle he chose to watch a comedy show that was in the Trainer Club. He did some research on the Pokédex and then just relaxed the day away.
The Barely Badge
Now Brad went to the gym in Lyonon for his gym battle. He had been training for multiple days, so he felt ready for the battle. The gym leader approached Brad "My name is David I am the normal type Gym leader for the Manji region, and the gym leader for Lyonon." Then Brad said "I am Brad. I challenge you to a Pokémon battle." David said "That is fine. I will battle you. In this gym we fight a three versus three single battle format. Are the terms acceptable to you?" Brad replied, "That is fine I am going to win either way." David points out "Arrogance is what make people lose Pokémon battles if I am so weak that you believe you will destroy me then why am I gym leader? I did not get here from just losing every battle that I ever entered. A gym leader must know how to test a trainer if I used my full power, I would defeat you every time but I use Pokémon to test you!" Brad responds, "Geez who sounds arrogant now."
The first fight was Ratticate versus Mankey. When the Ratticate started to attack Mankey use cross chop. It seemed too easy because Ratticate was already knocked out. Then Mankey started to glow and evolved into Primeape. "Well, I thought you might be tough. I wanted to know how good you actually where, so I sent in my Ratticate. If you were unable to beat Ratticate you would not be worth the battle. If you defeat it in one shot though. Well, that means that I need to use my full tactics to battle you. It is a type of test to see how well you have leveled your Pokémon."
David laughingly says "Have fun with this battle!" Then David uses Ditto. "This is a normal type but it won't be for long because it is going to use Transform." Then Ditto changed into a Primeape. Then Primeape started to use Karate Chop. Then Ditto would use Karate Chop. It was pretty good at hitting the same amount of times as the real Primeape. Primeape threw in a low kick to the face, and Ditto returned it with a low kick. It seemed that everything that Primeape could do Ditto could do. So Primeape tried moving faster than the Ditto with a low kick then a karate chop. Then Ditto got wind of what was happening and would not be out stepped. The Ditto got close and started beating Primeape with a Close Combat attack. Then Brad was stunned because Ditto was not supposed to be able to do moves that Primeape could not do. So Primeape returned with a Close Combat that it just learned. It was like a boxing match they were punching and defending. Ditto moved the fist mid swing and clocked Primeape. That is when Primeape was knocked out of the battle. Then Brad used Nidoking a big Pokémon that he thought might be able to beat a few normal type Pokémon. Primeape started to attack with Close Combat but it did not work because Nidoking used a peck attack that it learned as a Nidoran. It was clear that Ditto could not get close to Nidoking with attacks. So when it went in for a Cross chop attack and the horn of Nidoking turned green, and nailed Ditto with a massive Megahorn attack. Then Ditto did a flip over Nidoking then used low kick which hit Nidoking hard because of the weight of Nidoking. Then Nidoking counter it with a peck attack which is supper effective against Primeape which is Ditto's current form. Then Nidoking used a Megahorn attack on Ditto. Ditto goes fast and uses low kick then a barrage of karate chop before he could get up. When Nidoking got up he hit Ditto in the Primeape nose and got stuck. This made him go wild and thrash about. Knocking Ditto of Nidoking and then getting hit with another thrashing limb knocks Ditto out.
David laughs "That is one of my favorite tricks to play on trainer to see if they can handle their own fire power. My final Pokémon is Persian." Then Persian came out, and its first move was a slash attack to Nidoking. Then Nidoking used a double kick to. Knock the Persian into the air and then smacked it back down with the second kick. Then Persian runs a distance away and uses Pay day some golden coins were shot at Nidoking. They did not disappear when they hit him either. It seemed to Brad strange that if a Pokémon could do that this gym would be rich. Then Nidoking used double kick twice to knock Persian in the air. Then he stood under the Persian and landed a Megahorn attack on the inner stomach of the Persian. Then Persian scratched the face of Nidoking. Then it went in for a bite attack. It was thrashed off, and hit with another limb. Now after the thrashing had finished Nidoking was confused by the fatigue. Then Persian goes to a distance away and relentlessly hits Nidoking with pay day attack. Nidoking got back to its sense and attacked with double kick. Then Persian used a slash attack on Nidoking. Nidoking was knocked back from the attack and then Persian use payday to knock out Persian.
Brad then called upon his last Pokémon for this battle and used his trusty Venasaur. Venasaur used vine whip the Persian would pop out of the way of the vines just at the right moment. Persian ran up and hit a counter slash attack on Venasaur. That is when Venasaur started using razor leaf attack on Persian. Persian tried to counter razor leaf with a Pay day attack but the leaves overwhelmed Persian. Then Persian ran up and used fury swipes on Venasaur. Then Venasaur trapped Persian in a vine. Persian made a terrible screech that could churn your Moo Moo milk. Then Venasaur's bulb started to light up. It always took a while and the gym was not exactly the best natural lighting. The Persian tried to scratch at the vines but failed to be released from their grasp. The bulb still glowed with power add was building up it solar energy. When the Solar beam shot out the bulb with a fury knocking out Persian.
"Now I believe that I got you to use your full potential in that battle. I hope that you don't mind that I went a little hard on you with that Ditto attack, but you overcame every challenge that I could throw at you. You deserve this Barely Badge. I hope you keep up your training only sixteen more badges to go before you can challenge the elite four. I know it seems like a lot but the gyms just want the best for you and for you to be a strong trainer." Brad said, "Thanks for the badge, and thanks for really testing me with this battle."
Training for Excellence
Now Brad was realizing after his match that many of his Pokémon had not evolved which he needed to get his Pokédex full. On this day he decided that he would train his Pokémon in the in the mountains. He had six Pokémon that he needed to raise the level of to get the next Pokédex entry. The five Pokémon were Squirtle, Charmander, Spearow, Geodude, Pidgeotto and Ekans. Now to raise these Pokémon and get more Pokémon from the mountains was the ultimate goal for the day.
When Brad made it to the mountains he sent out Squirtle. He was using Geodude that were hanging from cliffs that went straight up for target practice. He would hit a Geodude when it would fall to the ground. The ground would shake for a second then it would roll off. They repeated this five times until they hit a Golem instead of one of the Geodude. The Golem was not happy about being hit with the water gun and it started to use roll out towards Squirtle. Then Squirtle used water gun on the ground in front of it. This made a muddy patch that when Golem tried to pass it got stuck. It was face up on it back when Squirtle hit it with another water gun attack. Golem finally got up and then started to use rock throw attack but Squirtle beat it out with water gun attack. When Golem wanted to use rollout again Squirtle used withdraw, then rapid spin, and finally water gun to spray water everywhere knocking out Golem.
After the target practice with Squirtle Brad was sure that it was going to be a Wartortle very soon. It was when a group of Pidgey was flying overhead and Squirtle used water gun on the flock. This nailed the leader of the group and the rest of the Pidgey land ed to help the leader. Then the group of Pidgey started to attack Squirtle once they realized what happened. Then Squirtle got hit by a tackle but when the Pidgey went back the Pidgey got knocked out with water gun. Then Pidgey used gust, but Squirtle countered it with a rapid spin attack. Which sped it up to knock out the last three Pidgey. After knocking out the last Pidgey Squirtle started to glow and it evolved into Wartortle.
After a rest from the work out that Squirtle got Spearow and Pidgeotto were hunting for flying type Pokémon. What one would do was to wait for the Pokémon to fly over then both of them would go take it down to train beating flying Pokémon. So when a group of Farfetch'd flew over Pidgeotto led the attack. The Pidgeotto used quick attack on the lead, and the flock started to fall. Then Spearow used peck on the Farfetch'd. then one used fury cutter on both Pidgeotto and Spearow. Then Pidgeotto took out another one of the Farfetch'd with a quick attack. The Spearow attacked with fury attack, and while the Farfetch'd knocked some of the attack of Spearow still landed enough to knock out Farfetch'd. Then Brad caught a Farfetch'd that they had just beaten.
Then Brad came upon a group of fighting Pokémon having some sort of battle. They saw Brad and went wild. Mankey and Primeape were beating their bodies. Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee looked distraught by punching and kicking the air. This is when Brad used the duo of Spearow and Pidgeotto because he knew those Pokémon were about to attack. Spearow Skillfully timed his movement to dodge the punches of Hitmonchan. While planting peck attacks on Hitmonchan. The battle between the two went quickly and Brad caught the Hitmonchan at the end. While that was happening Hitmonlee was fighting Pidgeotto. Every time that it tried to kick Pidgeotto whirlwind was used on the leg that was attacking which made Hitmonlee turn into quite a big knot. Which eventually knocked out Hitmonlee. Which Brad caught immediately and continued to battle the other fighting types. Then two Machop squared up to fight the two flying Pokémon. Then Pidgeotto used wing attack on both of the Machop. Promptly Brad caught both of the Machop. Then the three Mankey attacked the pair. Spearow used drill peck on one of the Mankey that knocked him out. Pidgeotto shot the Mankey into the air with gust, and Spearow hit them with peck in the air. Now the four-armed menace that was taking out all of the Pokémon before Brad got there. So Pidgeotto used whirlwind and gust. While Spearow used drill peck. Then Machamp used karate chop on all four arms. The two flying Pokémon were to quick that hit wing attack to both of Machamp legs. Then Spearow hit drill peck on Machamp's chest and defeated Machamp. The experience of defeating these Pokémon made both Pidgeotto and Spearow evolved into Pidgeot and Fearow.
Now it was time for Geodude and Ekans which both knew a move that had some range on it. Those being Poison sting and rock throw. He prepared to train these two in a similar way. Take out Pokémon that were not expecting it. This would get them the wins that they needed to evolve into their perspective evolutions. That is when a group of weak level Rattata happened to stumble the wrong way the eight Rattata were taken down by an assault of rock throw and poison sting. This greatly helped the accuracy of booth of the Pokémon. When Brad saw flying Pokémon fly over he would get Ekans to hit the front runner with poison sting and Geodude would take out the rest with Rollout. This worked out one time but the next time Ekans hit Pidgeot that was not very happy to be poisoned on its flight. Geodude took down the Pidgeot. While Ekans had one of the Pidgeotto in wrap attack. It was no time at all before Geodude hit all six Pidgeotto with rollout, and then knocked out Pidgeot with super leveled rollout. The one that Ekans had trapped got knocked out because of its poison venom. Then Ekans started to glow after the battle and became a Arbok. Arbok got sent back to the ranch to be studied.
Brad had wild idea to level up Charmander though. He got his Onix via his watch from the ranch. That is when Brad went into a cave and got Onix to go buck wild on the walls. The Paras population of the cave moved to get out but what was between them and the exit was Charmander Geodude and Onix. They all used their ranged moves of rock throw and ember. This caused dozens of Paras to be knocked out while trying to escape the tunnel. When Brad got a count the double effectiveness of ember got about thirteen Paras and Rock throw got fifteen paras while they were trying to escape. The accuracy in speed that this took trained Geodude and Charmander to both evolve into Charmeleon and Graveler.
Brad now felt super confident about his team and levels. He did not feel in any sense remorse for the great ecological terrorism that he may or may not have committed. Who cares any ways those Pokémon were going to recover and live to fight Brad another day. He just hoped that they would not comeback angry. He thought to himself that he could follow the easy mountain path to Anderson tomorrow, and head to his next gym challenge.
