The Fields to Fagan
"So did you bring your Rapidash with you like I told you to?" said Kimber. Brad had brough Rapidash at the request of Kimber, but he did not know why he was bringing Rapidash along. "Well, I had an idea I would like you to race with this newly caught Rapidash that I have." Now the Rapidash that Brad had was much bigger than a Rhydon and was filled with great power. Brad had caught it on his journey to evolve his Dratini all the way to a Dragonite. "How about to the end of this field? Loser makes lunch for the other." Now both of the Rapidash started to gallop. Now Brad was thinking that he needed to win this because he did not bring anything to make for lunch. He was just going to eat when he got to Fagan Town. Now Brad's Rapidash beat Kimber's by a country mile. "Well, I guess I have to make you lunch then." Kimber said while rolling her eyes.
Now simply the lunches the Kimber had made for them was the best food that Brad had since his journey had begun. It could have been the best meal that he had in his entire life. "So I just caught this. Rapidash a couple of days ago. I wanted it to get a proper work out. Have you caught any new Pokémon?" Brad started to talk with his mouth full, but then remembered his manners. After that he said "My newest Pokémon are Chansey and Kangaskhan. You know the Chansey that gave you the egg that made you feel better after you got hurt in the battle against Tryanitar. It was quite lucky for me to catch that Chansey. Well tell me what you have been up to? You know besides acting like a vigilante." Kimber said "Well I have been training my Pokémon. I also captured a Hypno." At the name of this Pokémon it was quite obvious that brad was very uncomfortable. "Why did you cringe like that when I said Hypno?" questioned Kimber. Brad explained "well you see there was this Drowzee that kept me locked in a crypt. I was asleep in a crypt the whole week. Every time I tried to wake up Drowzee would use hypnosis on me. Finally, I stopped the Drowzee from continually eating my dreams by capturing it. When it made it to Professor Cypress it instantly evolved. It had defeated all of the Pokémon at the ranch to get the levels that it needed to evolve. So, we separated Hypno. Now it is technically being punished for its crimes by Mew, Mewtwo, Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres. Which is one way of handling a Pokémon considered to be evil." Kimber then said "Well that is not what I was expecting to hear from you. I can understand that you had a bad experience with that Pokémon." Brad said "I believe I could overcome the fear though. I did overcome my fear of Ninetales. Ninetales sent zombie Pokémon after me one time that was a interesting night. I sure hope that guy who keeps up the cemetery is not mad at me anymore.
It was then that they heard a scream coming from a farmer. He was trying to get the Beedrill to stop attacking him. That is when Kimber and Brad flew into action. They had already cleaned up the picnic and were just talking at this point. The two both hopped on their Rapidash and used flame charge on the Beedrill that were attacking the farmer. The flames did not burn Brad or Kimber because they had both used their Dragonites to pick them up off of Rapidash before the attack on the Beedrill. Then the pair of Dragonite used hurricane to knock the rest of the Beedrill to the ground. "Thank you for the help those Beedrill. They would have gotten me if you had not been here to help me. I owe you a great thanks. Sorry for ruining your picnic. You two do make a mighty pretty couple." Both Kimber and Brad turn red in the face when he says this, but neither of them felt like correcting him.
"Hey Brad, we are almost to Fagan Town. It was almost relaxing we did not even see any Bounty Hunter Squad out on this route. I get that it is mostly fields, but you know I just thought we would have some action." Brad responded "Well it is nice to be walking with you to Fagan Town with almost nothing to do. I was going to get us some request from the bulletin board but is was empty. I wonder if something happened to make this place just so… nice." Kimber said "Yeah like what if someone took all of the request just to spite you or something." Then Brad laughingly said, "Yeah but who would do that." It was at this very moment that a Aerodactyl landed right in front of them. "Ha Brad, I have done more task than you today. I took all of the request so that you could do nothing productive today. So I just took your opportunity to help people so HA!" said Tyrus. Brad then responded, "I forgot that I do have person that would do all of the request out of spite." Tyrus then screamed that it was time for him and Brad to battle, and the Kimber should stay out of it. "I am sorry Kimber he does this a lot. I will beat him then we can continue to Fagan Town. Is that okay?" Kimber said "Sure beat him. Then we can be on our way."
Brad explained "I have barely had to fight on this route. You are catching me at my peak Tyrus. You should probably not do this to yourself. You look exhausted from doing all those request. You should not do this to yourself. You should not do this to your self-esteem." Then Tyrus yelled "No I am going to do this. You are going down. I have some new Pokémon that I need to fight against you."
Then Tyrus used his Venasaur first. Brad chose to counter that with Rapidash. Now Venasaur looked like it had been moving rocks all day. Knowing what the request were usually about it probably was moving rocks all day. Brad use flame charge on Venasaur and the Pokémon was out of the battle. Then Lickitung came out of its Pokeball, and it tongues was touching the ground from exhaustion. That is when Rapidash hit a horn attack on Lickitung. Then Lickitung was forced to quit battling. Then Tyrus used Aerodactyl. Now Aerodactyl was obviously tired from carrying Tyrus for the greater part of the day. Aerodactyl was bought down with a stomp attack. Then Tyrus used Kangaskhan which was obliterated by a flame charge attack. Then Tyrus used his Gyardos Which seemed like it had been fighting off Pokémon in the water all day. That is when Rapidash use stomp, and knocked out Gyardos. Finally Tyrus used Nidoking. Nidoking was in the same shape as the other Pokémon. Rapidash used stomp, flame charge and then horn attack before Nidoking could get a single move off. Brad defeated Tyrus with a single Pokémon. Then Brad, and Kimber left Tyrus and went to the Trainer Club in Fagan town. Kimber asked "He does that often?" Brad laughed "All of the time I think that he does not like me very much. He has sworn that he is going to defeat me, but he has never beaten me so far. I like to think of it like a very unfriendly rivalry."
Hitmonchan and Weedle too
When Kimber and Brad had awoken for their day. They heard a loud crowd rustling outside of the Trainer Club. They went outside to see what was going on. When they got ready for the day they joined the crowd that had formed outside. The group had joined around a stage with a child on top of the stage. The child was in a unitard like a wrestler. The kid had a big belt on his waist that looked like a championship belt for wrestling. His ear was clover shaped which seemed to mean that he had seen more than a few fights. What the child was saying was all around a very disturbing thing for both Kimber and Brad.
"People of Manji Pokémon are truly the most evil thing that can be. Now humans are not much better. When I was a child I was put up for adoption from a very poor family. I was in a car with another kid. We were both going to the orphanage. That is when the car crashed. I was abducted by the Pokémon that is called Hitmonchan. The Hitmonchan raised me, fed me and taught me to fight. This is my basis for Pokémon being absolutely cruel. The Pokémon that raised me hit me every single day. I was forced to pick the berries for the group of Hitmonchan. If I did not get enough I was beaten by the Hitmonchan. The Hitmonchan would hit me and hit me with the different Pokémon moves. Do you know what a Sky Uppercut does to a child? Well let's just say that it is not a kind thing. On my body you can see where I was hit with Ice Punch or Fire punch. I believe that if Pokémon treat their children like this are evil. I believe a world would be better if the world did not have Pokémon. I need you to join me in creating a world without Pokémon. I am going to wipe them from existence so that no one will have to suffer at the hands of Pokémon. I will eliminate every Pokémon from this world. Pokémon have no place living with humans. We should utterly destroy every Pokémon because of their evil. Think about your Pokémon do you think that they like your companionship. Would they stay if you did not feed them?"
Now a boy comes swinging around a building on a thread that looked like a string shot. While swinging he kicked the other boy in the head. The boy screamed "What are you doing Buster! Why have you kicked me in the head? Do you want to fight again?" Buster said "No Champ! I know that we were both put up for adoption, but Pokémon are good. I was the other kid you know that. I was raised by the Beedrill to the Weedle that help me here right now. I think that we can say that Pokémon are good because they took care of me." That is when Champ swung on Buster. The swing did not land because the Weedle Kid used string shot to make the fist miss. Then Weedle Kid punched the kid named Champ with a poison sting attack. Now they had a match, and were brawling on this stage for everyone in the town to see you. That is when the Weedle Kid tied up the kid named Champ with a string shot attack with the Weedle on his arms. Buster yelled "Hey the Hitmonchan have taken over the turf of the Weedle, Kakuna and Beedrill. They have used like Fire Punch and Ice Punch to run my family from their home. You need to go champion them away from our land or it is not going to be good." Champ retorted "What do I care for those little wimpy Pokémon? The Hitmonchan are much stronger they will win the land. Then they are going to ruin the land, and most likely die off. I hope every single one of those Hitmonchan die of starvation after killing those Weedle. I hope they stomp your family out. When Brad and Kimber heard this they knew what they had to do. They had to save all of the Weedle, Kakuna, and Beedrill.
The Turf Battle
Now Kimber and Brad followed the kid called Buster to the scene that looked like a battle was about to happen. Now Brad did not want the battle to take place. They should be able to share the land in a symbiotic relationship. Now the Weedle, Kakuna and Beedrill helped the land and grew berries that helped them work the land. Now the Hitmonchan just wanted the sweet berries that the trees given. Now Brad and Kimber took to the skies with their Dragonite. That is when the Beedrill made the first attack in this battle. They used toxic on all twenty of the Hitmonchan. They were going to try to wait the Hitmonchan obviously.
Brad and Kimber swooped down to stop the battle. Both the Dragonite used hurricane on the Beedrill, and the Hitmonchan. That made it were the battle had to stop for a little while. Brad then tried to explain to the Beedrill, and the Hitmonchan that they should work together. While Kimber's back was turned a Hitmonchan swung a ice punch to the Dragonite that Kimber was on. Now Brad stopped the Hitmonchan with a hurricane attack that sent that Hitmonchan flying into a tree. This made both sides go crazy and they started to fight again. Now Brad decided that he would have to fight for the Beedrill because they would take care of the land. While the Hitmonchan seemed as they would ruin anywhere that they went.
The two Dragonite started to use dragon claw on the Hitmonchan. The Hitmonchan were losing in head to head combat with the Dragonite. That is when Weedle Kid showed up, and started to teach the Beedrill how to fight the Hitmonchan. After this about five Hitmonchan fell in battle because of the strategy of pulling the fist down with string shot then using Twineedle attack. Now this seemed to not be a good thing because a man that had a pair of wings appeared on the battlefield. He clearly yelled "BOUNTY HUNTER SQUAD". His wings were a brown color and he shot a gun that had Pokeball bullets that would disappear on impact. The Bounty Hunter Squad got six Hitmonchan before Brad caught on what was happening. Both Brad and Kimber used one big hurricane attack. Knocking out the Hitmonchan and the Bounty Hunter Squad man captured all of the Hitmonchan. The man then got away from the battle.
The boy named Champ appeared he was cursing and screaming that the Hitmonchan lost the battle. Now he was even more upset that they had been captured by the Bounty Hunter Squad. With this he then jumped and swung on Weedle Kid. The punch did great damage to Weedle Kid. Then Weedle Kid used string shot to stop Champ from attacking him. Buster said "Hey you why do you keep trying to hurt me. Your family even though they were abusive have been taken by the Bounty Hunter Squad. Are you even going to try and go after them?" Champ laughed "No those Hitmonchan are getting what they deserve for doing evil to me. Oh, I think that they will also be an element of chaos in the Bounty Hunter Squad ranks. It will be good for everybody. So, to answer your question no I will not go after those Pokémon because they raised me. They do not deserve my pity." Then Champ left and went on to probably go and try to convince people to create a world without Pokémon.
"Hey you guys are the Shocking Seamstress, and the Flying Gunner I recognize you by your wings. I just want you to know if you ever need my help I will be there for you guys. I am the Weedle Kid. I have fought many people under the guise of the Weedle Kid so I am more than capable to help you guys. Were are the others?" said Buster. Brad responded "The Flaming Freeze took a hard hit in our last battle, and The Ranged Ranger is keeping him company. Let's go to the Trainer Club and talk some more." Now the three kids walked to the Trainer Club and enjoyed the rest of their day talking about how they could use the Weedle Kid when fighting the Bounty Hunter Squad.
The Rampaging Lunatic
"BRAD WHY ARE YOU NOT A WAKE YET! I WANT TO BATTLE YOU I WANT TO WIN THIS BATTLE THIS TIME. I AM NOT GOING TO LOSE. LET ME BATTLE YOU! I NEVER PLAN TO LOSE AGAIN! I WILL BECOME THE STRONGEST TRAINER." Tyrus said. Brad was startled awake by the screaming that Tyrus was doing way to early in the morning. "Sure let me get ready and I will battle you Tyrus. Can you do me a favor and never wake me up like this again. It is just not right to wake me up while I am trying to get my beauty sleep. I know it is too late for you." Tyrus did not get that Brad had just called him ugly. Now Brad was about to battle Tyrus when they heard a commotion outside.
It was the twenty Hitmonchan outside that had been captured yesterday but something seemed off about them. It was like the Hitmonchan had been brainwashed by the Bounty Hunter Club because they did not have the same free movements that they used yesterday. Now the Flying Gunner and the Shocking Seamstress came down from the top of the Trainer Club. They started with hurricane all the Hitmonchan started to jump up and get caught in the attack as if it was their plan to get hurt. Now the scene was general chaos around the area of the Hitmonchan attack. Now the Weedle Kid started to swing into the area. "Hey you guys need some help? These Hitmonchan are the ones that got captured yesterday? They are not fighting with passion. They are fighting like someone is controlling them. Maybe if we beat that person they will go back to fighting their old way, and will be released." That is when the Weedle Kid started to look for the remote control. During that time the Shocking Seamstress used thunderbolt on the Hitmonchan that weakened the Pokémon. The Flying Gunner used Hydro pump on Hitmonchan, and the hurricane sped the water up to really damage the Hitmonchan. That is when all the Hitmonchan went back to their Pokeballs and vanished. Then the man with the brown wings landed in front of the three heroes. "Maybe that kid broke the remote but that does not mean that you get all the Hitmonchan back. We have created a fail safe for people like you. The Pokémon go right back to the Manji headquarters to stop them from being stolen by the police. I am more than glad to leave you with this one though. It's Nidoking, and I am going to make my Pokémon grow! You wil never be able to defeat me."
That is when the Nidoking grew to the size of a skyscraper. The Shocking Seamstress did something that the heroes did not usually do and changed here Pokémon. She changed it from Jolteon to Mr. Mime she thought that it would give them the advantage to defeat the huge Nidoking. The man tried to control the Nidoking. It did not listen to the man and just rampaged trying to destroy building. That is when Mr. Mime stopped the Nidoking with a psychic attack. While the Nidoking was stopped Weedle Kid swung in and used a up close double poison sting. Then Nidoking started to shake the ground with earthquake attack. It was devastating the town that was around it. Then Nidoking was hit in the chest with a double hydro pump attack. Nidoking started to fall backwards. Mr. Mime started to catch Nidoking with psychic. Then the Weedle Kid went in for a poison sting attack but the Weedle on his arms evolved at the same time. Nidoking was hit with a harden fist attack. The Flying Gunner got behind Nidoking and shot his back with hydro pump multiple times. Shooting Nidoking towards Kakuna Kid who got multiple harden fist attacks on Nidoking. Then from both sides the Shocking Seamstress, and the Flying Gunner used hurricane from both sides to shoot the Nidoking into the sky. This is when the Kakuna evolved again to make the six-armed menace Beedrill Boy. The kid still swung like he always did because that was what was natural, but his punch attack turned into a quadruple Twineedle attack. That is when the Nidoking fell to the earth and was knocked out. It vanished to the base of the Bounty Hunter Squad. It was another thwarted attack from the Bounty Hunter Squad. Brad was proud that they had defeated the Bounty Hunter Squad again. He had also got another super powered friend that would be there for them if there was another big fight in the future and Brad thought that it was only going to get worse.
A Double Tournament
Now Brad was still rank six hundred thirty three, and he was starting to think that he needed to go even higher in the rankings. So Brad applied for a double battle tournament in Fagan Town Trainer Club. Now Brad was excited because he thought that he could move up pretty quickly. The reason for being able to move up quickly is because the rankings were higher the closer you get to the League in Manji. Most people start at Davidson, and follow the spiral of the mountains of Manji to Jefferson for the last badge, and the league. All the people in the tournament were above Brad's rank. In this tournament each trainer got two Pokémon per battle. They would fight a double battle, and the first to lose both their Pokémon would be out.
For the first battle Brad used his Scyther and Mr. Mime. While his opponent used a Venomoth and a Poliwrath. Now the battle began with Venomoth flying with Poliwrath on its back. Venomoth shot toxic at Mr. Mime, but failed because Mr. Mime got a barrier up in time. Then Mr. Mime mimed loading a machine gun. Then Mr. mime started to shoot the machine gun at Venomoth. Venomoth was skillfully dodging Mr. Mime's psychic attacks via mimed bullets. Then Scyther got in its way and used fury cutter a few times on Venomoth. This slowed Venomoth down, but it did not stop it from getting away. While Venomoth was slowed down Poliwrath jumped off its back and punched Scyther with Ice Punch. This froze the wings of Scyther. This gave Mr. Mime an open shot for a psychic bullet to the back. This made Poliwrath fall to its knees. Then Venomoth swooped down to get Poliwrath. Scyther got a few fury cutter attacks even with its frozen wings. Now both of them were low to the ground, and Scyther used fury cutter on both of them for a double knockout. The fury cutter attack raised the attack of Scyther when using fury cutter. Which means that after the number of fury cutter attacks it was almost impossible for the other trainer to when with such a powerful attack.
Now they had to change the Pokémon they used in the tournament. They could not reuse any Pokémon they had already battled with. Brad used Marowak and Lapras this time thinking that he could get interesting combos. The other trainer used Magmar and Electabuzz. Lapras started speed towards Magmar with Marowak on its back. Marowak used boomerang on Magmar while Lapras sped ahead with surf. Electabuzz was eager to get in on the action. Electabuzz shot a thunder attack at Lapras. It did not work because as soon as the thunder was about to make contact Marowak caught his boomerang and held it up to make a lighting rod. It was clear to the other trainer that was not going to work. Magmar used flamethrower. The water for surf went above the flamethrower to just heat the water that it got hit with. That is when Electabuzz jumped into the water as well getting hit by the surf. Electabuzz then used thunder underwater so that Marowak could not stop the electricity. Lapras was forced to stop battling which left Marowak to fight two Pokémon by itself. This did not bother Marowak because it threw its Boomerang attack at Electabuzz and did stomping tantrum at Magmar. That was another super effective attack on Magmar that made it finally faint. While doing stomping tantrum Marowak leaped into the air, and caught its Bone. Then Marowak looked at Electabuzz, and ran towards it. Then Electabuzz used mega punch on Marowak. It did not do much damage at all. Marowak used the momentum from the punch to nail Electabuzz with a bone club attack. Electabuzz fell over and Marowak beat the body of Electabuzz with a bone club attack until Electabuzz fainted.
For the next battle Brad used Ditto and Golem. Brad's opponent used his Electrode, and Porygon. Now the battle started and Ditto immediately turned into Porygon. Brad saw the trainer get the Porygon to disappear into a sound system. Brad ordered his Ditto to follow. Which was not a second to late because Electrode used explosion immediately. This made Electrode to faint, but the other trainer's strategy did not work because Golem had a sturdy ability that made it not faint from the massive attack. The other trainer yelled "How did that happen I did not knock out either of your Pokémon. How is that even possible?" Porygon came out of the sound system with the Ditto Porygon following it very quickly. The Porygon were shooting Tri Attack at each other. Golem gave Brad a look that said I want to do something let me do it. Brad screamed "Ditto to the sound system." As soon as Ditto made back into the sound system Golem returned the favor with explosion. It hit Porygon with a fervor. Porygon and Golem fainted because of the attack which made it Brad's victory when Ditto came out of the sound system.
For the final battle Brad used Primeape and Arcanine. The last trainer started to laugh "I am going to get to face you in battle again. I am not going to lose. I will never lose." It was Tyrus again which seemed to be impossible that he is always topping the tournaments. He was in the low two hundreds only because he kept losing to Brad. Tyrus used Poliwrath and Kangaskhan. Primeape rode Arcanine with a extreme speed attack to Kangaskhan. Then Primeape jumped off as soon as the made contact with Kangaskhan to hit Poliwrath with a Mach punch right to the middle of the swirl. Now no blocking was happening in the fight with Poliwrath and Primeape. They started to take turns hitting each other with karate chop. It was a battle of who had the better stamina. Arcanine used take down, and wild charge on Kangaskhan. Each time a move would hit Kangaskhan would land a mega punch on Arcanine. This went on for a longtime. Finally, Arcanine fell over because of the recoil that was happening. Arcanine was knocked out and left Primeape by itself. Now Primeape won the battle of stamina, and Poliwrath was knocked out. Finally, it was just Primeape against Kangaskhan which both had taken great damage. They both started a dance in a small circle both were looking for an opening. Then Kangaskhan landed a dizzy punch. Primeape was confused Kangaskhan goes in for a mega punch, and Primeape get lucky to knock it away while confused with Karate chop. This knocked Kangaskhan. Brad won the battle, and the tournament again. This pulled brad up to rank five hundred and sixty-five. This made him feel better about following his dream of being the top trainer and the champion of Manji.
The Contest of Fagan Town
Now Brad and Kimber decided to join the Pokémon Contest in Fagan Town. Now this was a full team Pokémon Contest and this would increase Brad's rank if he did well. So they were joining the Trainer Club Contest. Brad chose six of his Pokémon to make a scene of an ancient Pokémon battle. Now Brad was really impressed with the Pokémon that people brought together. Now with all six Pokémon it would have been a hard thing to put together. In this contest the people would entertain and get points from the judges. The second round the trainers battled a one on one battle if either Pokémon was knocked out you got points. What really got you points during that round was how flashy that the moves were.
Now the first group was a trainer named Mikey. He used the different genres of Jigglypuff to create a original song. It was one Jigglypuff singing a blues tune. Another was singing a sad country time. The last one was singing sad opera. Now Mr. mime was building sets for the Clefairy to dance to the song. It was something that it was clear that it would only happen once in a lifetime. What Mikey had created was pure art that would only be enjoyed in the moment.
Then Kimber used her Flareon, Arcanine, and Rapidash to run across the field lighting a flame. Then here Vaporeon and Gyardos put it out to create smoke and steam. The audience was greatly befuddled by this because they could not see the action, but when the smoke had cleared all of the Pokémon were fighting each other in the air. Kimber had used her Mr. Mime to levitate all of her Pokémon. It was not what the audience expected. It was clear they enjoyed it.
Now was Brad's turn he depicted an ancient legend about a fight between a Charizard and a Dragonite. Charizard and Dragonite would use ice beam and flamethrower to create the steam. Then they would fly in sync with each other for just a moment. He used his other Pokémon to Be battling on the ground. Then Arcanine and Rapidash were running with fire while Machamp and Poliwrath rode them to the middle. They both jumped off their steed and did some classic wrestling moves. Machamp had his arms around the arms and legs of Poliwrath. Poliwrath used hydro pump that shot them up into the air. Poliwrath flipped the two and nailed Machamp on the ground. The crowd all took a gasp of shock when this happened. Machamp was okay, but they did not know that. The finale was Rapidash, Arcanine, and Charizard all meeting up flame to hit a flare blitz. This gave the illusion of fireworks across the field.
Now many more performers took place in the contest. A Jynx sang a love ballad to a Machamp with interpretive dance. A group of Lickitung showed how much food they could eat. Then there was a "magic show" with a number of Pokémon that focused around a Alakzam, and an Eevee. Then a group a Mr. Mime taught a Tauros to walk on its hindlegs with a whip. Then six Venasaur showed a beautiful display with flowers that exploded. Then a Dodrio squad had a chariot race. Brad did not like that they had a very similar theme to his own. Many more performers came and went after that.
Brad used his Poliwrath for his battle round. The other trainer used his Machoke. Brad started by swirling a hydro pump attack to make a whirlpool that looked like a extension of Poliwrath's swirl. This hydro pump hit the chest of Machoke. That is when Machoke threw a mega punch to blow the water everywhere. Then Machoke grabbed the legs of Poliwrath for a seismic toss attack. That is when Poliwrath started to use ice beam to make a pretty swirl. It started to snow on the field. When Poliwrath was flung it regained its composure. Then Machoke put Poliwrath submission with his legs over his hands. Poliwrath used hydro pump to push Machoke to the corner of the field. Poliwrath reversed the submission and threw the Machoke over Poliwrath's head. The whole crowd winced in pain. The time was out for the battle. Brad was given all the points that could be given for making bad situations into beautiful moves.
Now Brad won the contest with his ancient battle, and his performance in the battle phase. Scott was extra happy that this random kid won the contest. Brad was excited because he did not think he was going to win. Kimber was second place, and Mikey in third place. Brad moved up from five hundred and sixty-five to five hundred and thirty four. Now people were saying that Brad had a knack for Contest, and that he should enter a lot more. Brad decided that it was not really his thing, but he would enter more if he felt like it that day.
Barnabas
Now Brad and Kimber were spending sometime at the Trainer Club. They were relaxing that day, and generally enjoying a day off from doing things so Pokémon centric. That is when they heard the very familiar screams. Brad and Kimber rolled their eyes knowing that they would never truly have a free day off. They ran to the roof changed into their costumes and jumped of with their Dragonites.
Now Brad saw some Tyrogue and Hitmontop causing chaos in the town square. The Flying Gunner sniped the Hitmontop with some hydro pump attacks. The Shocking Seamstress shocked the Tyrogue into submission. That is when Tyrogue jumped up and landed a mega punch on the Flying Gunner. Al onslaught of fist and feet started coming at the two heroes. Then the two heroes caught on to what was happening and they used hurricane to stop them from landing hits. Then the Hitmontop used a handicap ramp to fly towards the heroes with great speed. Then Beedrill Boy came in and kicked one of the Hitmontop out of the way. Now Beedrill kid had upgraded his persona with to Kakuna on its hand to use a hardened hit. The Flying Gunner got hit by a triple kick from one of the flying Hitmontop. Now the shocking Seamstress flew backwards to dodge the Hitmontop, and land a massive thunderbolt on the Hitmontop. Then the Hitmontop tried the same attack again but the two heroes used hurricane. The Beedrill Boy used string shot to capture all of the Pokémon. Now the grunts started to run away from the heroes but was caught by Beedrill Boy, and the Teleport Squad sent them to the Correctional Facility in Fagan Town.
That is when the heroes started to hear someone laughing. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I cannot believe that actually worked. I send out some grunts from the Bounty Hunter Squad as bait, and then I get the biggest pains in my neck. Let me introduce myself I am Barnabas. I am over the Bounty Hunter Squad in Manji. We are from Mersonia, but I am the representative from The Table in Manji. In words that you might understand with your low education. I am the head of business over all of the Manji grunts that you have met in the Bounty Hunter Squad." Said Barnabas. Barnabas was a very fat man that was almost a perfect circle. He wore a top hat and a suit of purple. His mustache seemed like it would take a long time to make it in a perfect zig zag. He had just flown down on the wings of a Pokémon that had screamed the word "Noctowl." "Now it is time to test you! I do not think that you will able to defeat my Pokémon. I definitely do not think that you will be able to do it without that Freezing Flame character." Said Barnabas.
Now Barnabas sent out a Pokémon with the cry "Scizor." The Pokémon immediately took the serum that Barnabas had given it. The Scizor grew to the size of a skyscraper. The Flying Gunner got the first attack with a hydro pump. This was dispelled by a metal claw attack. Then the Scizor almost giggled when the Shocking Seamstress used thunderbolt on it. When Beedrill Boy used all six of his hands to defeat the Scizor it did not even get a scratch on it. Then Scizor used X scissor on all three of them. They all started to fall out of the air. They caught themselves then went back to fighting. The heroes used ice moves on Scizor to try an freeze it to mitigate the damage that it caused. Then the Scizor lowered it head and started to aim at the heroes for a iron head attack. This seemed very bleak for our heroes because they were not going to make it if this landed. That is when a flash of orange passed by them, and shot a massive flamethrower at them. It was like the flamethrower had been built up for a long time in the Charizard that had done the attack. The Scizor fell down from the attack. "I AM BACK." Said the Freezing Flame. "Um I am here to as well. He is better the doctor did actually release him." Said the Ranged Ranger. Then the Scizor was engulfed in a pillar of fire. The Pokémon was knocked out and called back from the fight. "I will beat you one days. You five are the worst thing that ever happened to the Bounty Hunter Squad. I hope that you all fall of your Pokémon right now." Said Barnabas. That is when the Teleport Squad for the Bounty Hunter Squad took him somewhere. "Hey I am glad to see that you are okay, and it is also good to see you." Said the Flying Gunner to The Freezing Flame and the Ranged Ranger.
The Celebration
Now the heroes woke up to a thunderous noise. It was a celebration for the heroes that have been fighting the Bounty Hunter Squad. Now this meant that their hero work had finally warranted a full on celebration. Now they discussed if they should go or not. Kimber said "It seems a little bit meta for us to go to a celebration for us. It seems like we should go in costume or not go at all." Hayden said "If we going costume that might make any potential evil that Barnabas wants to do much easier. Let's just go and enjoy the day, and get a day off with everyone." That is what they agreed on because they had not been invited as heroes the police force might not be ready for the right if they showed up in costume.
Now the celebration set up different battle zones to celebrate the different Pokémon that they had faced. Some of the more memorable fights was Tryanitar, Steelix, Nidoking, and Scizor. Brad thought that he would have fun, and fight the different Pokémon that they have. Now they had brought trainers all the way from the Mersonia region just to do this festival. So Brad decided to take on the challenge and become a "unofficial sidekick to the Five Heroes." Which he completely understood the irony that would take place if he could beat them all.
Brad used his Venasaur to fight the Tryanitar. The Tryanitar started the fight of with a rock throw attack at Venasaur. Venasaur countered the attack with Razor leaf attack. The rock throw did not do any damage because the leaves broke apart the rock. Then Tryanitar was wrapped up in a vine whip attack, and threw the Tryanitar in to the air. That is when Tryanitar landed on the ground an used stone edge on Venasaur. Now Venasaur was trapped in the rocks, and Tryanitar used earthquake to get some extra damage for the trap. The earthquake let Venasaur rise out of the trap. Then Venasaur shot two moves in rapid succession. Venasaur used leech seed and toxic at the same time. Now every time Tryanitar did a move it was in great pain, and gave Venasaur energy to fight. Then Venasaur spun the vines around the legs, to the arms, and around the body of Tryanitar. That is when Tryanitar started to do a jig because it was the puppet of Venasaur. Now the movements got life from the movement of Tryanitar. Then Tryanitar was close to the ground and struggled a bit to get the tip of its toe on the ground. It used stone edge on its own back to rip the vines away from it. Now this did great damage to Tryanitar, and its life was still sucked by leech seed. While Tryanitar fell down from the great damage. Venasaur relentlessly hit Tryanitar with Razor leaf attack not letting Tryanitar get up from its own attack on itself. Then Tryanitar got up, and was very angry. Tryanitar bellowed a hyper beam attack but it missed. With a single leaf from razor leaf Tryanitar was defeated.
Then Brad was up against a trainer that had a Steelix now this one was much stronger than the one they had faced. The one that the heroes had faced had been injured by his own trainers. Brad used his Poliwrath to fight this Steelix. Then Poliwrath used submission on the head of Steelix. Poliwrath feel back and the entirety of Steelix whipped back and landed on the ground behind Poliwrath. Then Poliwrath did a backflip and used surf halfway through the turn to land on the wave of surf. This did great damage to the Steelix. Steelix came out of the wave, and used bind around the leg of Poliwrath to the body, and up the arm. Poliwrath then used hydro pump on the Steelix that was wrapped around it. Now this hurt both of the Pokémon, but the effects hurt Steelix the most. The Steelix had to let Poliwrath go. Then Poliwrath used a dynamic punch on Steelix. The Steelix then became confused, and started to use iron tail on a invisible Pokémon. This made Steelix tie itself up in a knot. Then Poliwrath used surf again, and again on Steelix until it was unable to battle.
The next was Nidoking Brad though that it would be funny to use Lapras. The joke was because it was the Pokémon that the Freezing Flame used on his top Pokémon. So Nidoking started off the battle with an earth power attack. This hurt Brad's Lapras with great damage. Then Lapras turned Nidoking's legs into a popsicle with an ice beam attack. Then Lapras hit Nidoking with a giant wave via a surf attack. Nidoking started to swim up because it was free from the ground after the attack, but the ice made Nidoking float feet on top. Nidoking then was dropped on its head because its feet were on the top of the surf wave. Then Nidoking jumped and used stomp with the popsicle feet on Lapras. The popsicle feet broke off Nidoking. This gave Nidoking more speed, and it ran at Lapras with a horn attack. When their heads hit together Lapras started to rise with a surf attack. Nidoking got the blunt of the surf attack. While in the water Nidoking jumped and used double kick on Lapras. Lapras turned around and let out a sheer cold attack at Nidoking. Nidoking hit the jaw of Lapras with double kick right in time not to be hit. Lapras then lowered its head and froze both arms with ice beam. Then Nidoking hit Lapras with a horn attack. The head of Lapras, and the head of Nidoking were fighting each other. That is when Lapras used ice beam to freeze Nidoking's head. Then Lapras pushed back and used sheer cold to freeze Nidoking and win the battle.
The final Pokémon that Brad had to beat to become a "unofficial sidekick of the Five Heroes" was Scizor. Brad then thought again that he would use a Pokémon that his friends use to fight crime. This time Brad used his Charizard. Scizor zipped towards Charizard and used metal claw five time in a row without Charizard stopping it. Then both of Scizor hands grew giant blades for a massive slash attack. Charizard stood there and took it. Then Scizor used iron head on Charizard. Charizard was not flinching it simply did not do much damage to Charizard. Then Scizor used X scissor. His arms were way out and above its head, and its legs were sprawled out. The Scizor was making a x with its arms and feet. That is when Charizard used fire blast. That engulfed every centimeter of the Scizor's body. It was a quadruple effective attack, and the attack was super powerful. That is why Scizor fell out of the sky and fainted making Brad one hit knockout Scizor. Brad had done it he had won the challenge.
"Brad you are unofficially a sidekick to the Five Heroes. I know that you have been training hard to become the best. You have definitely proven the wherewithal of all of your Pokémon. Hey may I ask how did you do in the Fagan City Gym battle?" said the announcer. "Oh I have been in a tournament and a contest but I have to competed in the gym. That is, I have not competed in the gym yet. I am planning on getting all of the badges and winning the top trainer in the Trainer Club. Oh and I want to catch all the Pokémon in Manji. I am doing pretty good on that one. I have eleven more to catch. Thank you for doing this for the heroes. We should all aspire to be like them. We should all aspire to fight evil every day in our regular lives. You see someone that is poor help them. You see someone that is need seek to do your best to help them every day! That is what I got to say to the people of Manji!"
Clefairy Godmother
Now Brad was walking along the road in Fagan Town. He came across a statue of an older lady. She was wearing a dress that went from her neck all the way down to her ankles. She wore long sleeves and was in address that would be considered a very modest yet fancy dress. Her head stood a foot above her head with a great poof. Brad then wondered what the statue was there for. Now a trainer was walking along the road, and Brad asked him what the statue was for. "Oh that old statue. I am Mikey by the way I am the gym leader of this town I specialize in the fairy type of Pokémon. That is why I know this story because it is how the first Clefairy came to the earth. Let me tell you the story about how the world was blessed with the Pokémon that is known as Clefairy."
There once was a young lady her mother had died of the flu many years before this happened. It was in that time that the father of this young girl had remarried to this lady. Now the lady had three very ugly daughters that she dearly loved. She forced the young girl to work and clean around their huge house. The father of the girl did not know about the work they were putting his daughter through. The girl had to scrub the floors, shovel the excrement from the Pokémon, and many other task that did not befit a lady of her status. She routinely had to clean out the Ponyta stables. The smell of the fire that was lit from the excrement was something so putrid that the little girl almost puked every time that she did this. When she cleaned the floors she was not given a Pokémon to assist her. Most people would have gotten a servant to do all the work that she was told that she had to do. She was the lowest of the low compared to her stepsisters that were given anything that they desired from their mother.
Many times while she was doing the work of the house her step sisters would come and make fun of her. This day they decided to walk up to her and spilled their drinks on the ground. "Oh, you missed a spot. You are not a very good maid maybe we will have to get rid of you. Maybe we could get a prettier one with mom's next husband. We all know that your father is going to die soon." Then the girl responded "What are you talking about my father is in the prime of his health." The step sister with a wart right on her nose said "I do not know but all mom's husbands have died, and then we inherited all of their land." The one with the warts down her arms, and the zits all over face said "It was ashamed about daddy number four though. He was a very kind man that gave us anything that we ever wanted." The one with a nose to big for her face, and finger and toes to long for her body said "Hey girls are you ready to go to the ball? It is just a few nights away, and we are going to have the time of our lives. We are going to be all the rage with the boys that are of marriable age in our beautiful ball gowns." Then the three very ugly stepsisters went away. Then the girl mourned her life before the evil step mother and the very ugly stepsisters.
Then it was another day that the ugly stepsisters used a Mr. Mime to mock the girl. It was a girl on her hands and knees. Mr. Mime was in its hands and knees as well. The difference was fake crying because of how hard it was forced to work. The ugly stepsisters thought that this was the peak of comedy. Then they took out their Bulbasaur and used Vine Whip attack to make her move faster. This irritated her, but she could never let them know it because it would just make it worse for her. Many nights she would have to miss dinner because she was out at the stables. She would cry, and cry when she was out at the stables late at night.
Now on the night of the ball the girl was out at the stable trying not throw up because of the smell of lit Ponyta excrement. She was crying because of the bruise that were on her back from the Bulbasaur's whip. That is when the girl saw a shooting star. She looked at the star and believed in its power. The difference was that this shooting star started to fall right towards her. A Pokémon fell right in front of her. It said the name Clefairy. It landed on its hands and feet and looked up at the girl. The two became friends immediately. The Clefairy then built a cart with its magic powers. It seemed that the Clefairy used metronome to build the cart and create a beautiful dress from the vines, and string shot that happened through the metronome move. The Clefairy hooked up the cart to the Ponyta and the girl went to the ball. The problem was that when she started to leave their home the stepmother showed her face. She stood in front of the gate and said she was not going to let them through. That is when Clefairy jumped out of the cart and used metronome attack. The move that happened because of metronome was sheer cold that froze the evil stepmother in a block of ice.
Then the girl attended the ball. She saw her stepsisters, or what she believed probably was her former stepsisters. Since she did not unfreeze her stepmother from the ice. Her stepsisters had about a ten-foot radius around them that was completely empty. No one wanted to go near them because how greatly ugly they were. The room was filled with people and their Pokémon partners. The girl then noticed a very handsome young man that was about her same age. The boy had a Pokémon that sang beautifully. The name of that Pokémon was Jigglypuff. The two danced the night away, and enjoyed their time together that night. They seemed like they loved one another they laughed at the sense of humor of the other. They had some great conversation, but she never told him where she lived. When the night eventually ended she told him to have a good night, and then went home.
All four girls got to the house at the same time. It was clear that the evil stepmother had passed in the time that the ball was going on. The father of the girl was in great distress that his wife had died. Now he did not know that the Clefairy had used a Pokémon move on his wife. He figured that a wild Pokémon had gotten his wife. The girls seemed to be distraught seeing that their mother had passed. "We have no one now. I think that we must do something to be able to take care of ourselves." Then another of the sisters said "If we kill the old man, we will get the inheritance from him. He was our stepfather he will have an inheritance for us." Then it came that they planned to poison the old man.
The next day came, and the stepsisters had made dinner for the entire group. They fed the entire family. Now the father ate all of his food while the girl decided that she was not going to eat because she had heard their plan. The girl was unable to talk with her father. That is when the king of the land came calling the father. The king said that his son had met a girl with a strange Pokémon that he would like to marry. They were going to every house that had girls that went to the ball. The three ugly stepsisters immediately started to flaunt the Pokémon that they carried for. They had a Bulbasaur, a Gloom, a Hypno and Mr. Mime. While the prince like the Pokémon Mr. Mime he did not like any of the Pokémon they had placed before him, and they were not the right Pokémon. Then the king saw the other girl and the Clefairy, and told the prince about the Pokémon that did not look familiar. The prince was overjoyed that he finally found the girl. It was at that moment that the father screamed.
The father was on the ground and presumed dead the stepsisters immediately demanded the inheritance. They screamed for the king to help them get it through with very fast. He had some qualms because they had not even buried the father yet, but he said that he could sign the edict that would enforce this. The sisters were beyond excited. They were going to have the fortune that they had been promised by their mother. Just as the king was about to sign it the father walked up to the king and said "I am not dead." This scared the king, but it was effective to get it to stop from what he was doing. I am not dead therefore you do not need to sign my fortune away to these stepdaughters of mine. You were about to give away my fortune to them but write out my daughter. Why would you do this?" The king responded "The girls told me that girl was the servant of this manor. Is this not true?" The father said "NO it is not true. They actually are not my daughters but my stepdaughters that girl is my true daughter. Do I have the legal obligation to take care of the daughters of passed wife?" The king then stated, "Actually according to the law you have no legal reason to take care of these three daughters of your wife." The father then said, "Would you say that I now own all estates of my passed wife?" The king responded, "That would be true you own all the land that of your passed wife but have no legal obligations to take care of her daughters." The three spoke up "Well what are you going to do? We have no father or mother. We have no land. What will we do?" The father laughed and said "I will buy your bride price and make you into the servants of my manor. You will clean the Ponyta stable and scrub the floors with Staryu. You will be taken care of, but not to the level that you were. Now let me talk to you about the one true daughter. Let us join our families by marriage between your son and my daughter. Would you do me the honor?" The king said "The boy loves your daughter, and I will do you the honor of marriage between our families." Thus the ugly stepsisters became servants to the father, and the girl was married to the prince. The statue was made in memory of the evil stepmother. It was to remember that evil would never triumph over good. The statue was made by putting the bronze over the frozen remains. That is why it makes a hollow sound when you hit it. That is to remind people that marriage for money is hollow. Love is the only reason that two people should be bound together in marriage.
The Fagan Town Gym Battle
Once Mikey was done telling the story he asked, "So what are you in town for anyways?" Brad responded "Oh I am on a Pokémon journey. I am trying to catch all of the Pokémon, become the Top Trainer at the Trainer Club, and the Pokémon Champion." Mikey exclaimed "The Pokémon Champion that means you need to face the gym here in Fagan town. You have not got the Star Badge yet. You should go over to the gym, and I will face you right now if you go to the gym." Brad was excited that he got the chance to fight the Fagan Town Gym. "Hey Brad, it is a three on three. You know there is only three fairy Pokémon families in Manji, so we do a three on three." They both went to the gym and started the battle as soon as possible.
Then Brad used Magneton against Mikey's Clefable. Magneton started the battle with lock on. Clefable used moon blast on Magneton. It was not effective at all. Then Magneton used discharge attack. "Just like in the stories anything could happen use metronome Clefable." Then Clefable used fire blast on Magneton, but the attack missed. Then Magneton hit Clefable with a massive flash cannon. Then Clefable used metronome again and covered the whole arena in smoke with a smokescreen attack. Clefable was unable to see Magneton. Magneton started to fire mirror shot after mirror shot at the smoke. Every attack landed because of lock on attack at the beginning of the battle. Then the ground began to shake with a. earthquake attack that happened because of Clefable's Metronome. The attack knocked Magneton's health all the way down to one health point. Clefable went for a disarming voice to finish off Magneton, but Magneton was not affected by the loud noise. Magneton use flash cannon to counter the attack. It hit Clefable square in the face, and Clefable fell over. Then Magneton used gyro ball on the Clefable, but Clefable got one last metronome. Then Clefable hit Magneton with a water gun attack. This round was considered a double knock out.
Then Mikey used Mr. Mime, and Brad used Beedrill. "Oh a Beedrill. That would usually be useful. If Mr. Mime was not a psychic type this is going to be easy." Beedrill started the battle off with a toxic attack. This was blocked for a second with a barrier attack above its head. Then the toxic fell down on Mr. Mime showering it in the toxic. That caught Mr. Mime of guard for a second, and Beedrill landed a Twineedle attack. "Ha that was super effective on that psychic type of yours! This is going to be easy." Brad said mockingly. Then the Mr. Mime mimed pulling back a bow and arrow. Then Mr. Mime shot a psychic attack at Beedrill. This did a great amount of damage to Beedrill. After this Mr. Mime winced in pain because of the poison. That is when Beedrill swooped in and shot five pin missile attack at Mr. Mime. All of the attacks hit Mr. Mime and that damage was great. Then Mr. Mime built a box with barrier attack, and started to recover its health. Then Beedrill started to break through with assurance. When Beedrill broke through Mr. Mime started to feel the pain of the toxic. Beedrill landed three poison jab attack before Mr. Mime could defend. That is when Mr. Mime mimed a sword and thrust it into Beedrill. This caused a psychic attack that knocked out Beedrill. That is when Mikey yelled "I said that was going to be easy." Then Mr. Mime fainted because of the toxic attack. Mikey was then very embarrassed that he had just said that.
"This is the last Pokémon for the both of us. I think you know what Pokémon that I am going to use, but I wonder what Pokémon you are going to use." Said Mikey. Mikey used his Wigglytuff while Brad used his Venasaur. Immediately Wigglytuff did a awful scream that was a hyper voice attack. Venasaur then used a vine whip attack from Wigglytuff's leg to arm on both sides to cover its mouth. Then Venasaur lifted up Wigglytuff and then smashed the Wigglytuff on the ground. Then Wigglytuff used dazzling gleam on Venasaur to get out of its vines. Just as Wigglytuff got out of the vines it got a face full of toxic. Then Wigglytuff scream a hyper voice again this stopped Venasaur in its tracks. Then Wigglytuff used disable on Venasaur and Venasaur could not use its vines anymore. Then Venasaur used razor leaf on Wigglytuff. Wigglytuff tried play rough, but it did not do much damage. Then Venasaur started to get purple teeth and ball of sludge formed in its mouth. While Wigglytuff was so close to Venasaur a sludge bomb was used on Wigglytuff four times. Then Wigglytuff jumps and lands on its feet and goes for the loudest scream yet, but it fell over instead. Wigglytuff was knocked out.
"Congratulations on winning the Star Badge. I believe that you will be the champion one day. You fight with the vigor that it takes to win the champion spot. I have not seen someone fight like that since Blake came through a few years ago. I think that you will have the power to defeat him. Hey I would like to watch that. You have won the Star Badge, and that means that you can go ahead to the next city to get the Gem Badge against Roxley. Fight with power that you fought against me and you can do anything." Said Mikey. "Yeah I think that I will be heading on tomorrow, and thank for the battle." Said Brad.
