This isn't the usual fan fiction story I'm working on that is inside the Alan Wake universe. I wanted to mix things up so I decided that Alan isn't the main character in this series but he does play a very important role. The main character is of my own creation who is named Oliver Nightingale. I hope you enjoy the prologue entitled The Champion of Light.

This story takes place three years after the original Alan Wake game and one year after the spin-off called Alan Wake's American Nightmare. In this story, Alan Wake finds himself in another episode of Night Springs which he wrote earlier in his life. This time, the episode is set in a small town in Minnesota where Alan wants to find decisive clues to return to the real world.
