It was nighttime in Miami as the palm trees were moving in the wind, the stars illuminated the sky alongside the moon, and the clouds were also overhead as they all got in the way of the stars as well. It looked like a pleasant sort of night to be walking or sleeping through.
But at a certain Mansion, it was anything but pleasant, atmosphere-wise.
For it looked like it has seen better days, as it had a shootout that recently happened there when a bunch of men ended up raiding the place after an assassination attempt that has gone wrong. And the henchmen that guarded the Mansion was killed and shot down by the assassins that tried to raid the place to kill the owner of the mansion itself.
Including a shotgun toting assassin that was known as "The Skull." Who was closest to him, and tried to shoot him in the back as he shot down the men that tried to kill him. In an alternate world, he would've succeeded in sneaking up behind him, before shooting him in the back with his double barrel shotgun. Killing him instantly even before he hit the shallow fountain water.
In this world though, he was able to sneak up behind the guy, ready to shoot him. Only for that guy to notice him, knock him to the floor, and then shoot him up until he died. Before he then proceeded to shoot up more of the goons as he was helped out of his mansion by his remaining henchmen.
Where he shot more of the people trying to kill him, before he then ran to his limo after surviving the entire gunfight, thus that guy survived the assassination attempt.
That guy's name, was Antonio 'Tony' Montana. Who also goes by his title 'Scarface' after the scar that he got under his left eye.
And he was fleeing his mansion in relief, anger, and sadness at how his empire that he built has fallen to the ground around him, and left him now fleeing for his life toward anywhere but his mansion. And especially at the fact that one of the people he was very close with ended up getting killed.
It wasn't always like this though, as before he even got his mansion, he was a Cuban immigrant that fled from his home country via a Mariel Boatlift, when Fidel Castro created a Communist revolution there. Making him, and his best friends, Manny Ribera, Angel, and Chi Chi move to Miami in America, where they got in a Refugee Camp, before being given Green Cards to make them official U.S citizens, courtesy of Frank Lopez. Who had them killing a former Cuban General who worked for Castro.
After some dishwashing, Frank's right hand man Omar, sent them to purchase Cocaine from Columbian dealers. However, the deal went bad for them, leading to Angel's brutal death by chainsaw from one of the Columbians, in front of Tony. Until he got saved by Manny, and made off with the Cocaine after killing the Columbians in revenge, including the guy that used the chainsaw against Angel.
Suspecting that Omar set them up, the gang made sure to personally deliver the Coke to Frank. Where Tony met Frank's trophy wife, and his future wife, Elvira. Frank then hires Tony and Manny. Before Tony reunites with his mother and sister, Gina Montana. The latter of which was proud to see him alive, while the former was still angered about Tony's life choice, and forced him to leave. Manny was attracted to Gina, but Tony was protective to where he wouldn't let even Manny have her.
Not that it would stop them from seeing each other though. With Gina making moves on Manny, regardless of his initial hesitation.
During their time in Bolivia, they met Alejandro Sosa, a major Cartel Lord, who they were smuggling to America with. And Tony's at the time, only partner that he had after Frank terminated their business relationship when Sosa's right hand man killed Omar for his betrayal.
After that, and after his brush with Narcotics officer Mel Bernstein, Frank tried to assassinate Tony in the Babylon club with his hitmen, but Tony escaped while wounded, before being able to find him alongside Manny, at a car dealership alongside Mel, and ended up killing Frank, and Mel there, after tricking him into confessing about the hit on him with a phone call.
After that, he got Elvira around his finger, even marrying her, took over Frank's empire, and created lucrative business fronts, and purchased a large Mansion of his own. While also making his friend Manny, his second in command. A.K.A, his right hand man. It seemed like 'the world is yours' was telling Tony the truth.
Unfortunately, he and Elvira got addicted to Cocaine, causing him to become more paranoid and violent, while Elvira became more distant and bored of him, before their eventual break up, resulting in Elvira leaving Tony for good after a fight in a bar. Not only that, but Tony got greedy with his wealth while his bank that launders his drug money wants increasingly higher fees. Not only that, but Gina and Manny started to date behind Tony's back, fearing that he could get enraged if he finds out.
Soon, he got charged for Tax evasion due to a sting by agents, but he got barely saved by his Lawyer Sheffield, and by Sosa, who demanded a favor from him. Which is to assassinate a Bolivian journalist, who is intending to expose Sosa's dealings with Bolivian leaders on television. Tony reluctantly agreed, and went to New York with some of Sosa's henchmen to kill him. While he left Manny in charge of his operation, only for him to elope with Gina behind his back.
Unfortunately, Tony then refused to do that when he saw him with his family, especially his kids. And he had a soft spot for the innocent people, especially children. Not only that, but he protected him by killing one of Sosa's men when he tried to bomb them. Thus, betraying Sosa, and incurring his wrath. Then, after that was over with, and after returning to Miami, he ended up finding both Manny and Gina together, causing him to shoot him out of Cocaine fueled rage. Which had Gina angered at him and telling him that they were married.
Which did leave Tony feeling remorseful of what he did to Manny.
Then back at the mansion, when Tony snorted more Cocaine, Sosa sent his henchmen to Tony's place to kill him, only for them to accidentally kill Gina, causing them to end up turning the stealth mission into a raid when Tony killed one of them, as they swarmed the place to kill Tony's guards, along with Tony's henchmen that guarded him. With Chi Chi being among them, whom also got shot down, causing Tony to snap and fight back against them with his Carbine Assault Rifle with a Grenade Launcher attachment.
"SAY HELLO, TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!" He would famously proclaim as he started the shootout that he was barely able to run out of, alive. If only feeling somber at what happened.
Now, he has escaped from his Mansion as the cops were headed towards the mansion as the shootout wound down.
"Yes? Speak to me." Sosa asked on the other end as his henchman called him from Tony's phone.
"It's done Sosa. Montana is gone. Everything is destroyed, with nothing left. The policía has taken over the mansion, but there is none left. Nothing for him to come back to. His empire is gone." The Henchman said.
Not knowing that Tony is still alive and out there in Miami.
And he was now in a hiding in a small shack near Virginia Key Beach Park, getting out of his Cocaine induced high as he looked at the broken mirror in front of him, holding his .45 pistol, as he brooded, letting his tears flow into the bowl on the dresser, as he tried not to cry.
"Oh shit. Oh shit Manny, I need you. I need you back hermano." He said to his 'reflection' as he lamented his situation that he was in now. He missed Manny even before his current situation.
Then he got angry. Angry at Sosa, angry at Sosa's henchmen for trying to kill him, as well as having killed his sister, but most of all, angry at himself for letting this happen. All because of his Cocaine addiction. "You asshole Antonio! You're a fucking asshole, and you know why? Cause you don't listen. Not even to yourself." He said.
"And now you fucked up royally. You fucked up cause you caused this! This… everything." He then said sadly as he continued to pace and brood about what happened to himself, he was still angry at himself for the fact that not only is his Mansion gone, but so too was his sister. As well as his best friend.
Sure his sister tried to kill him back in the Mansion for what he did to Manny, but he felt that in hindsight, he probably did deserve to die if his sister succeeded, cause of Manny's death. He just hoped that she'd have lived afterwards. (But he had doubts that she could, if Sosa's henchmen would kill her too.)
And now he was in a run down shack, with only a .45 pistol, his Cadillac Series 62, and only 1000 dollars in his pocket. Not to mention some bandages on his now shirtless body that covered the bullet wounds he got on himself from the shootout. He had to pull the bullets out too, and that hurts.
But he feels that this situation is on him, even for the wounds as he walked back to his chair.
"What happened? What the fuck happened?! Why this? Why this happen to me?" He said angrily, yet sadly, as he now sat in his chair to continue to sulk.
Tears continued to flow down his face in remembrance of his life that he lived up to this point. Not only did his wife leave him, but his sister is dead, and so is his friends, Manny, Chi Chi, and Angel. Now he was alone.
And again, he blames himself, and his Cocaine addiction, and his rage and stubbornness that came from it, for not listening to his friends. Now he paid the price that he was lucky to get out of alive.
"Oh Antonio, why didn't you fucking listen." He said to himself as he continued to let his tears flow.
It was at this point, that he feels that his Cocaine addiction is to blame for his Paranoia, and increased Aggression too. It seems that he should be laying off the Coke.
Or better yet, he knows he should never take that Coke again. Which is what's he's going to do now. He was going to be clean when he returns to Miami's cities. That is, once he can, as he sulked.
Despite blaming himself though, he had someone else to blame too, and he ended up suddenly glaring at the mirror again as his rage came back.
"Hey, Sosa! You thought you could take me?! You think you could Fucking kill me?! Well you thought wrong! Cause no one, NO ONE TAKES DOWN TONY MONTANA BUT ME!" He said, loading his pistol, before shooting it at the mirror, imagining Sosa in its place as he shoots 'Sosa' in the head.
Then he looked at the ground where he imagines that it'd be where Sosa would be laying after he kills him. "You hear me Sosa, you Cocksucker? No one, but me." He then calmly said, sneering at the ground.
That was when he made a vow. He was going to get his revenge, and murder Sosa in cold blood out of revenge for his attempt at his life. And he was not going to stop until he succeeds. Even if he's going to die, then at least he'd either take Sosa with him, or claw his way out of hell to get back to the living world to finish him off and send him to hell too. He was determined to defeat Sosa, remembering him taking away his Mansion from him, which had his exotics, his henchmen, his dead sister, and even his Coke.
Which he couldn't help but make a small smile at, feeling that he should at least thank Sosa for the last part. Which is taking away his Cocaine (Which he now describes as that 'snow of hell that screwed his life up when it got in his nose.') from him. And he felt relieved that he's been given a reason why he can't snort that stuff anymore.
"Sosa you shit. You did me a favor, you know? You got rid of my baggage. Made me more lean now, like before. Allow me to thank you before I kill you." Tony said, making sure to use this chance, to keep his nose away from the 'devil's snow' to keep his mind clear again.
Even though he's still going to get angry. Especially when he gets provoked.
"Okay. First thing's first though, what'chu gonna do to make it right? Take it all back?" He asked himself, feeling that to take down Sosa, he has to get his Empire back, and make sure that it's strong enough to give him a chance to kill Sosa, and take over his business once he's done with him. Then he thought about a few people that he remembers befriending during his rise to power.
He thought about Felix. Who was his friend who helped him with his finances from the background while he rose to power in Miami after Frank's death. Tony feels that he's still around, and he knew that he might need his help again to get back to the top. He wonders what Felix can do for him when he returns to the cities of Miami when his heat is gone.
Which would mean that he can walk the cities of Miami without any cops chasing after him, as well as Sosa's underlings breathing down his neck, ready to kill him for real.
Then he thought about his lawyer, Sheffield. Who he knows is still alive. So he might need his help too when it comes to Sosa, as well as his allies. Which could help him rise back up to the top in Miami again. It's not a bad way to begin his revenge against Sosa.
At the thought of Sosa again, Tony got back to being angry. As well as ready to begin his road to revenge, once he returns to the streets after laying low. "Sosa! That prick is going to die now! I'm declaring a war against that Fuck! And anybody that gets in between us, or tries to help him, they'll Fucking die too!" He declared, reloading his pistol.
"And once this is all done, when he bites the dust, I shall dedicate my victory to Gina and Manny. I hope you're both watching, and I hope you'll both forgive me for what I've done in the past. I shall make it right for you both. You'll see." Tony then said, looking up at the night sky with tears streaming down his face again.
Little did he know though, he was going to be surprised once he goes back to Miami's cities in a few months.
Three months later...
A certain tall Spanish man, who was also from Cuba, was waking up in his hospital bed, as his vision was blurry when he opened his eyes in the bright hospital light. He had to let his vision get focused before he could see where he is now. Which took a couple of minutes for him to focus.
Once his vision cleared up, he ended up looking around, noticing that he was in a hospital room, while he was hooked up to some medical instruments that was beside his bed, like his heart rate monitor that was beeping by his bedside. Showing that his heart was still beating. He then noticed that he was wearing some hospital garbs that he was nearly naked under. Due to the fact that he wore an adult diaper underneath his garb.
It seemed that he was in a coma.
"W-where am I? And why am I here?" He wondered, as he had to think about what caused him to get sent here. Which had him feeling a little uneasy about his surroundings.
What he remembered after some minutes of thinking, was that he was a friend's right hand man whom he helped get to the top, had to be his mediator, and peacekeeper when he got high on Coke, kept on seeing his sister behind his back until he learned at the wrong time, then nothing.
He had to admit it, in hindsight, he admits it wasn't a good idea to show him that he slept with his sister when he was supposed to be in charge. And he paid the price that was kind of on him, as a result.
But he feels that his buddy took this way out of proportion, when he shot him in his home, and right in front of his sister too. All over having slept with her. He could've just slapped him silly and yelled at him for what happened, and threaten him to ask first. Even though, considering his protective nature, he would be too protective to let him, but he's sure that he'd be able to persuade him into letting him see her if they met at a more proper time. Preferably if Tony kicked his Coke habit.
Which, has him feeling pretty mad at him for that.
"What the hell hermano? (Brother?) I was your best friend, you know?" He thought.
Now, if only he knew the name of whom it was that shot him.
Then suddenly, a blonde nurse that was holding a clipboard was entering the room. She looked to be from South America with her tan skin tone, whether she's from Brazil, Argentina, or god forbid, Columbia. "Ah, you're finally awake. Thank goodness." The nurse said smiling a little flirtatiously.
Which had him flattered, (He gets that a lot from the ladies.) as she checked the clipboard. "I reckon that your name is Manolo 'Manny Ray' Ribera. Correct?"
He ended up nodding a little in response, since he was still recovering from his coma. So he still felt a little drowsy, and he did still feel a little abdominal pain, and pain in his chest from the gunshots.
But Manny knows that the pain will fade as he recovers.
"And here, it says that you were shot in the stomach, and in your chest just a little west of your left breast, causing you to end up in a coma from the gunshots. Is this correct?"
"Si. That seems to be the case." Manny said deadpan. "And from what I remember, it's all over sleeping with that guy's sister."
"Really?! Geez, what an asshole! He could've been more proud, instead of beyond pissed enough to do that." The nurse then said exasperated. "Nonetheless, what else can you remember?"
Manny had to think about that for a bit. After all, his mind and his memories were in the middle of being repaired, now that he's out of his coma. He felt agitated throughout his thoughts, as he tried to think about what the name of his attempted killer was.
It was a few minutes, then he remembered the name. Which had him agitated at the remembrance.
"Tony. Tony you bastard." He whispered harshly, remembering that it was Tony Montana that he got shot by, over the fact that he slept with his sister, and married her. Even though for the latter, he couldn't put it past him since in Tony's POV, he was just sleeping with her and nothing else.
And yet, even though he was angry at Tony, he wasn't angry enough to think of him as an enemy. As he also blames himself for his comatose state, since he should've told him outright that he was married to her, and that he'd take care of her well. Even though he also knew, that he'd possibly still react violently due to his Cocaine high.
It is no use now.
He wanted to ask the nurse about where Gina is, and if she's alive, but he feels that he can ask Tony. If he meets him again that is, and if he's alive.
"All I remember, is that I was sleeping with someone. And then I met my friend again when he came to my door, then nothing." He then said. "And let's just say, that somebody that I slept with, was a lovely chica. (Chick.)"
"Ah. I have to ask though, am I a lovely chica too?" She asked a little seductively.
Which again, he was flattered. But he was still hoping that Gina is okay. Not knowing that she's not okay. "Si. But I already have a wife." He said, much to the nurse's dismay. "But I'll think about you if she's either dead, or if we divorce." He said, trying not to hurt her feelings. Although he feels that he might not remember her later on. But that wasn't important.
The nurse smiled at him again. "Well, thanks. Anyways…" She said, beginning to explain to him. "According to the X rays, the bullets went into your stomach and your chest to the left of your heart, and sent you into a comatose state. Not only that, but you lost plenty of blood, that if the neighbors didn't call for the ambulance, you could've been killed from the blood loss." She explained.
"Thankfully, the bullets missed your spine, so you haven't lost the ability to walk. The other one also missed your lungs, so you can still breathe. And we were able to get the bullets out of your stomach and your chest, and prevented some more blood loss, and made sure your organs still work. But we weren't able to stop you from going into a coma." She finished.
"Oh geez. How long was I out?" Manny asked, bracing himself for an answer that could shock him.
"Three months. Which compared to at least a year, isn't as long. But it's a long time nonetheless." She said, surprising Manny. "Thankfully, you seem to be out of your coma now, and the rest of your body is doing fine too. But I may recommend staying here for at least a day, just to make sure that your road to recovery will be safe."
"O-Okay." Manny said, feeling surprised that he was in a three month coma. He expected that he might've been unconscious for a year at most, but he was feeling surprised, yet relieved that it was only three months that he was unconscious. And not at least a year.
"How long should I remain here?" He asked.
"About a day or two, just to be safe. After that, you're free to walk the streets of Miami, and back to your home. Just be careful of going near Shady Grove if your home is close by."
"Why? What happened there?" Manny asked confused.
"Crazy stuff happened. It's a long story. But the short part of it is that, there has been a shootout in the Mansion over there, just three months ago, shortly after we saved your life." The nurse said, shocking Manny.
"What?! A shootout?!" He asked shocked, considering that Tony's Mansion was there, and he might've been in one inside.
"Correct. I don't know the details, but it was fucking crazy over there. A lot of people just got there, entered the Mansion, and then just shot up the place, and a couple of them got killed. Whether by the owner's hands, or the guards that fought back, or by the SWAT team sent there when the shootout intensified. There was a lot of bodies there that had to be dragged out, and the vice has possession of the Mansion as we speak. And there's still quite a mess inside." The nurse then said exasperated at what happened there.
Manny was even more shocked, and was convinced that it was indeed in Tony's Mansion. Which would mean that Tony was definitely in the center of a shootout in his Mansion. But why did a shootout happen there?
And what also happened there to cause the shootout? And was Tony able to survive the shootout, and escape?
Those questions were bounding in Manny's brain as he tried to find an answer. Which had him feeling more agitated as he thought about it. Which the nurse noticed as she had her hand on his shoulder in hopes to calm him down.
"Manny, Manny! Don't think about it too much. You just got out of a coma. And I don't think the hospital may have the patience to save you from another one if it happens." The nurse said.
Although he still felt agitated, he obeyed and calmed himself down. "What do you know about the shootout at the Mansion?"
"What I do know, is that a bunch of guys raided that place to try to kill the owner. That's all I know."
Manny was feeling saddened as he had his hands rubbing his face. He knew who the owner was after all. "And did he escape?"
"I don't know, sadly. It's said that he died. But there are rumors in Miami that he's still alive. Just hiding out somewhere, waiting to show himself." She responded.
The nurse had no idea how much Manny hoped that the latter was true. That Tony would still be alive, and roaming Miami, while hopefully kicking his Cocaine addiction. Sure he was mad at Tony for his attempted death, and a part of him wanted revenge, but Tony was his friend. He was sure that Tony regretted that action, and has to apologize for what he did if they meet.
That is, if Tony is alive.
"I'll leave you in here to rest and recover. Bathroom's over there, in case you're recovered enough to walk there, otherwise just give us a call and we'll give a pot for you to use the restroom in. Your underwear will also be given to you later, now that you're conscious. We'll do some Quarter-hourly checkups on you too, just to make sure that you're recovering well, now that you're out of the coma, and so that we'll make sure that you may be given the clearance to walk again without anything bad happening when you do." The nurse explained.
"Well thank you Nurse." Manny said, smiling politely at her.
"Your welcome. Also one more thing, let me give you my number once you leave. That way, you can still talk to me just in case you have any health problems in the near future. Plus, you and I may talk together and get to know each other, just in case you and your wife do divorce." She said seductively on the last part. "Or if she's dead. Which if she is, then my condolences." She then said politely
Manny ended up blushing at how forward she was being. She was polite though, as he told her that he'll keep that in mind, and gave her thanks before she left him to his own device in the room so he can recover.
All while he thought about the shootout at the Mansion, and if Tony was able to survive it. As well as what he may know what happened that caused it to happen. While also planning to berate him for what he tried to do to him as a result of what Manny did with his sister.
Sure it was on himself, for what happened to himself when Tony learned about their relationship at the wrong time, shortly after he got back to Miami, but the response went too far, and could've ended in Tony losing a friend if the neighbors didn't send Manny to the Hospital.
But now, he was back. And Manny plans to find Tony, and see how he's doing. Or if he's dead, then he plans to create his own cartel, and hunt down those that killed him, before possibly getting married, and having kids of his own. One of which, he plans to name after Tony himself.
Not knowing, that Tony is still around. And they're possibly going to reunite someday as Tony's road to Sosa's death begins. Which would mean double the trouble for Sosa if they do reunite, and work together to kill him.
That is, if Sosa has nothing that he can do to save himself from them, if they do.
It was a bad time to be him right now.
And done.
Here it is folks, my seventh Fanfiction that I decided to make after playing some Scarface The World is Yours on PS2.
And in this, Manny, who is Tony's best friend, whom he shot in the film, survives the gunshots, and was put into a coma that he wakes up from, around the time that Tony begins his road for vengeance against Sosa.
Sorry that I didn't bring in Chi Chi, and have him live too. I just thought that Tony and Manny together as they fight against Sosa would be interesting.
Especially once they meet the Sandman. (If you know who plays the Sandman in the game, then good on ya.)
Also, who am I shipping with Manny in this?
Remember the lady at the beginning of the game that Tony meets in her bar at Sheffield's request? Whom is played by Nika Futterman? She's a candidate.
Finally one more thing.
I hope that you enjoyed the chapter,
please give constructive criticism, just don't be rude,
And do not forget to read and review,
I hope that all of you stay safe,
