Harry was so sore. He thought he had hurt after fighting Voldemort and taking a killing curse to the chest. But that was nothing compared to the exhaustion from helping rebuild the castle. He lay in the grass not far from the newly reattached great doors. Across from him lay Ginny, her hand flopped on the turf in his general direction. He wished he could take her hand but that would involve more movement than he could currently manage. Ron and Hermonie were slumped back to back, looking listlessly at the lake.

"Oh stop, its not that bad." A stern voice came from the direction of the school and Harry glanced over and saw Professor McGonagall smiling at them. "I take it that Fillius had you four all day then?"

Ginny sat up and reached over to hold her hand out to him. He took it and let her help him sit up and leaned into her warmth. "He's a slavedriver," Ron complained. "Wouldn't even let us stop for a drink."

Harry grinned as Ginny tossed him a wink. "I gave him a drink instead."

Ron scowled at his sister. "Yeah, with your wand. At maximum output. Lucky you didn't put a bloody hole in my head."

Hermonie swatted him on the shoulder. "Your fault for not specifying. You know what your sister is like."

"Well, I thank you anyway for your hard work. Better head to my office and take the floo home. Molly will be fretting about getting you all to herself to fed up. Not you, Miss Granger. I need to speak with you privately for a moment. I'll send her along soon, Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley. And Miss Weasley, your letter will be along soon. I am not supposed to reveal this, but congrats on being our new Quidditch Captain."

Ginny's face turned as red as her hair. Harry wrapped his arm around her and kissed her on the cheek.

"Congrats, love."

Ron sighed and pushed the couple on the back. "Come on, let's go see what Mum is fixing for dinner."

"Later, Hermione." Harry waved and took Ginny's hand before heading off to the castle. "So, she's totally going to be head girl come September, right?"

Ginny smirked and moved out of Ron's way so he could insert himself in the middle of them. "Oh, without a doubt. Better be ready for when she gets back, Ron."

Harry smiled as the freckled face of his best friend blushed. "You reckon? Think it will get George out of his room to tease her?"

The trio walked on in silence for a moment, lost in thought of the Weasley brother mourning his twin. Of course, it was hard on all of them. For George though, his other half was gone. Ginny punched Ron in the shoulder, though not too hard.

"It just might. Having a head girl in the family. There was no chance of me getting it. I'm too much trouble. Plus I'm dating a certified bad boy."

Ron laughed and bumped his sister with his shoulder. "And how is Harry a bad boy? He's the literal definition of a hero."

"A hero that has broken so many wizarding laws. He just needs a leather jacket to go with his flying motorcycle. Once dad is done fixing it up, anyways."

"I can hear you, you know." Harry complained as he gently squeezed Ginny's hand. "Besides, I have your parents approval. Don't think I quailify as a bad boyfriend."

Ginny giggled as she squeezed back. "No, that's true. If you had not been my boyfriend, mum and dad would have done an adult adopotion for you."

Harry shook his head. Not that he was against such a fate. But he much rather be with Ginny than be her brother.

"I suspect you're excited for that captain badge, Weasley." He remarked, putting on his best captain voice.

She snorted in response. "Oh yes, can't wait to meet my new team. I suspect most of them will be second or third years. Not such a bad thing I guess. I am actually excited to meet the new children."

Harry leaned his head onto hers. "I know you'll do wonderful, Gin. And after, you'll get scouted for the Harpies."

"I thought she was applying for the Canons!" Ron protested. The laugh from this statement lasted them all the way to the Headmistresses office. Dumbledore was asleep again as they left, though Snape did leer at them. As Harry was about to leave, the last of the bunch, he heard his name.

" Wait a moment, Potter."

He stopped and looked into the dark eyes of Severus Snape. "Yes, Professor?"

" Make sure when you propose to Miss Weasley, you do it with more class than that stupid father of yours. I will not have the son of Lily asking his girlfriend to marry him at a Quidditch match."

Harry blinked. "That's about the nicest thing you ever said to me. I'll consider it."

The man nodded. "Go on, get out of my sight. You should consider dying that black mess red."

"I'll pass, thanks, Professor."

I hope you enjoyed this short Hinny intermission with some Romonie thrown in. We will be back to Tamadea next time to advance the plot forward. Had to set up some things on this side though too.

Harry left, unsettled by Snape's attempt to bury the hatchet. He decided the next time he returned, they would chat again.
