It was finally time. The morning of the exams. My stomach was doing somersaults I didn't want to eat but knowing that I had to fly at my full potential today, I scarfed down as much food as possible and ran towards the exam site.

I decided not to fly since I would take too many calories. So I ran. Once I saw the exam site I slowed my pace and just walked. That's where I saw him the green hair kid.

"Stupid Deku" oh no… I knew that voice.

"K-kacchan"

"Get out of my way before I set you on fire," blondie said to him while green hair moved to the side.

"Oh hey good morning! Let's just both do our best out there ok good luck" the greenette said to him.

I wasn't sure if I should have intervened so I just kept walking. The blondie kept walking, and I just got closer and closer to the green hair kid. He was just staring at the building.

'He must be so nervous' I thought to myself. His legs were shaking, and when he started walking again, he tripped over his own feet. I dashed towards him.

'I'm not ganna make it!'

That's when I saw a girl with short brown hair and a round face touch him. He started floating. I stopped right behind them.

"Hey, are you ok? I stopped you with my quirk. I'm sorry for not asking" she said. He started flailing about wondering what was happening.

"Hey, hey calm down. You're fine. Didn't you hear her she used her quirk?" I said that when they noticed me behind them.

"Wow your wings are so pretty!" the girl said.

"Oh thank you! Thanks for catching my friend too, I tried to catch him too, but I wasn't going to make it." I say to her.

"Oh, it's ok I was closer. Ok well, I'll see you guys inside!" she said as she walked away.

'Wait no! Let him introduce himself to you! I don't know his name!' panic soon overtook me. Keeping my face stoic I looked back at him he looked like he was about to puke. He must be so nervous poor guy.

Once inside I saw that Present Mic was the one giving the orientation. "Oh my goodness, it's the voice hero present mic. I listen to his radio show every day of the week." I hear greenette fanboy over the hero. Maybe I shouldn't have sat next to him. Especially considering that on the other side of him was Kacchan.

"So I guess we have the same battle center," I tell the green hair kid. I look down at his card trying to get a glimpse of his name. Izuku Midoriya. Finally. This time I'll remember!

~Time skip starting of the exam~

Standing in front of the ridiculously large doors I looked around. I saw the blue-haired kid with glasses standing in front next to the girl with short brown hair. The blue hair kid really got under my skin and ended up calling out Midoriya in front of all of the applicants. I was standing next to Midoriya he was shaking. All of a sudden he just slapped himself with both his hands on both cheeks.

I jump slightly at the sudden action. 'Well, that's one way to get the nerves out of your system.'

He started to look around, and I did the same. Some of these applicants didn't look nervous at all. Bunch of cocky assholes I'm sure. I felt my feathers ruffle up and I tried to control them. I could tell my nerves were starting to get the better of me. I looked back at Midoriya…. What he was gone! I looked around and saw he was stiffly walking towards the girl with the brown hair only to be stopped by blue hair. I quickly jogged over to them just in time to hear what he was going to say.

"She looks like she's trying to focus. What are you going to do distract her and ruin her chances to pass the exam?" he said so sternly that Midoriya could only shake again.

"No no no!" Midoriya started to say. I should help the poor bundle of nerves.

"Hey blue hair! Leave him alone probably wanted to thank her for helping him out earlier" I tell him as nicely as I can considering he's acting all high and mighty.

"Right let's start!" I hear Present Mic announce. "Get moving! There is no count down in real battles! Run run run" he said while flailing his arm about.

With that, I took off flying. I had a head start I looked behind me only to see Midoriya was already behind.

'I knew I shouldn't have gotten attached to that kiddo' I lecture myself internally. I lost track of how much time had passed and how many robots I had destroyed. But one thing was for sure. I was overusing my ice. my wings were beginning to get stiff, and I ended up slowing down.

'It's ok, you probably have the highest points out of everyone here'

I heard screaming coming from behind me. Someone was about to be crushed by one of the robots that apparently had been thrown by another applicant. As quickly as I could, I rushed over and picked them up, and started taking flight again.

"Are you ok?" I asked them, and they just nodded. I could see some bruising forming on their head.

'Dammit,' I made some ice and applied it to their head once I landed again. "Hey, you over there!" I yelled at another applicant. "Take this one so safety! He probably has a concussion and will faint if he keeps moving around!" I tell the other applicant with a mask and what looks like 6 arms.

"I got him! What about you and your wings?" he asks. I stared at him confused then I turned around and looked at my wings. My feathers were begging to get ice all over them. It was sticking to them making it hard to stretch them out. 'Crap I have to use my fire. I don't have a choice.' I looked around me, and it seemed like more and more applicants were getting hurt.

"I'll be fine, but you need to step away from me, so you don't get hurt!" I yell trying to make sure he can hear over all this commotion.

He only nodded, grabbed the other applicant, and started running away as soon as I noticed that it was clear I activated my fire quirk warming my body up careful not to make any fire. My wings immediately relaxed at the warmth they felt. They welcomed it, but before I could completely melt the ice, the ground started shaking.

'What now!' I thought annoyed at the fact that my concentration was broken.

I flew up to see what could have caused the ground to shake. I was met with a massive green robot, and it was heading straight to the cluster of applicants. 'UA is no joke' I mumble to myself. Just then it hit the ground hard. Once the dust started to settle, I could see all the students running away, and I kept an eye out just to see if any stragglers were left behind. There's no way I would let any applicants die, especially during this exam. That's when I saw Midoriya on the ground just staring at the robot. I was about to swoop down and try and get him out of there when I noticed he started crawling away.

'At least he has survival instincts' I think. Flying overhead I keep scanning the area for stragglers or anyone injured. That's when I saw her.

The brown-haired girl was pinned down by rubble. I started to fly towards her to get her out, but I saw green move towards her.

'IDIOT NO! YOU'LL GET YOURSELF KILLED!'

Then suddenly he was in the air. Just as high up in the air as me. I kept flying towards the girl and made ice to remove the rubble crushing her leg. Picking her up bridal style I heard a big impact. I looked up and saw that Midoriya had punched the zero-point robot. Making a giant dent in it, it started falling backward.

'He doesn't have a quirk. What the hell was that? How… HOW?!' I yelled inside my head. He was suspended in midair before slowly falling down. "Midoriya!" I yelled out. I put the girl back down, and I took off without really paying attention.

I heard her yelling "GO GO GO!"

I got him. Just in time, I got him. He was crying. I could hear him sniffling. He was falling face first, so I carried him almost in a hug. Carefully I moved him into bridal style with his left arm around my neck. That's when I felt and saw his muscles. He was such a scrawny kid a few months ago. How did he get so buff? But once my arm touched his legs, he winced in pain. I looked at his legs and his arm. His arm was purple and bruised….. It was broken. I landed next to the girl and started to put him down. The way his legs shifted onto the ground. I could tell both his legs were broken too.

'So this is why he never used his quirk. It causes him to break. He let others believe he was quirkless' I thought to myself. I didn't let go of him completely. He was in no condition to move on his own. I knew I would have to carry him.

"I-Is he…. ok?" the brown-haired girl asked.

"I don't know" I answered truthfully.

His eyes were closed, but tears were still streaming down his face. I made Ice cover his legs over his pants. It wouldn't be much, but it should ease his pain. That's when I heard Present Mic announce the end of the exam.

"Hey, Midoriya-Kun. I'm going to carry you ok we need to get you to a doctor for your arm and legs." I tell him.

"Wait," said the girl.

"I can use my quirk. So that way he isn't moved much" she mumbled. She was exhausted there was no way she could use her quirk to help. I looked around, and everyone was just staring at him in awe. Instead of offering to help they just stared. My eyes landed on the blue hair kid with the glasses. His hands balled up in a fist.

"Very nice! Good work all around" I heard a voice say. I saw a little old woman with a bun walking toward the applicants. "R-Recovery Girl'' I whispered. I looked over at the girl again and saw she had passed out. It's no surprise. Seeing her like that made me realize how much my wings ached. They were going to be sore for weeks. My feathers still covered in ice ached at the slightest bit of movement.

"Recovery Girl over here! He needs help" I yelled out to her.

"Yes yes I'm coming"

She stared at him for a while, taking in his bad condition. Then suddenly she kissed him. His legs began to go back to their original state, his arms bruising going away completely.

"Ok, he'll be fine now. Anyone else injured?" she asked as she walked away. I felt myself relax and slowly put his head down. I looked over at the brown-haired girl. It looked like she had regained consciousness. I walked over to her, only to realize I was limping. I was flying half the time, so I must've hurt my left leg somehow. I'll get to it later.

"Hi, I never introduced myself. I'm Y/N L/N my quirk is Contrary Wings" I said to her. Recovery Girl had already gotten to her, so she was walking fine now. She still looked exhausted.

"I'm Ochaco Uraraka. My quirk is Zero Gravity" she smiled her eyes barely open.

"I'm really glad yo-" I was cut off by the blue-haired boy.

"Excuse me, but you are limping you should take care of that at once L/N-chan"

"You are?" I questioned glasses.

"Oh, apologies!" he says, almost yelling it. He started doing some very distracting chopping motions. "My name is Tenya Iida. My quirk is engine" he finishes his sentence.

"Y/N L/N. My quirk Contrary Wings" I tell him.

"Oh I thought it would have more to do with ice" Iida explains.

"It does. My wings can create ice that I can control at will. While my body can create fire" I held out my hands, and very carefully my palms burst into a small fire. I stopped the fire almost immediately. 'Have to be careful I can't control it. Besides my parents will kill me if they know I use it at all'

Uraraka stared in amazement at my palms. Iida pushes his glasses up and says "That makes sense now Contrary Wings. Your wings have their own quirk separate from your body. How interesting"

Most of my classmates avoided me, so this interaction with this many people was completely new to me. It was going to take some getting used to. There was a rumor since I was a kid about me burning a kid that made me mad, so they never talked to me at my old school. I was definitely getting overstimulated.

"I saw you limping dear. You should have come to me for that" jumping slightly at the voice. I was so lost in thought I didn't hear Recovery Girl approaching.

"Oh sorry about that ma'am." She held my hand and kissed it. I felt my ankle immediately heal. My wings still felt a bit sore, but it'll pass. "Now I can't do anything about that ice on your wings. We should get you somewhere warm"

"No, it's ok I can take care of that," I tell her while holding my hands up.

"If you say so, dearie"

I start walking away towards an empty area. "Hey, where are you going?" I heard Iida ask.

"I'm getting some space between me and everyone else. I don't want anyone else to feel the heat"

Once I felt I was far enough away, I took off my jacket and heated up my entire body.

'Ok focus now, just your back release small flames on your back. Why couldn't I have fireproof clothes.' I thought to myself I opened my eyes and I felt my fire be released from my back. I could smell the back of my shirt burn away. 5 seconds. That's all I needed to melt the ice clinging to my wings completely. Quickly I held onto the front of my shit before it fell off. Grabbed my jacket and slid it on. I turned around and saw the other applicants that hadn't left yet stare at me.

This is usually what made my friends slowly stop talking to me. From jealousy of my multiple quirks to fear that I might just burn them if I ever got angry. It was ok though. I rarely used it, so most students at my school thought it was just rumored that I had a fire quirk. Not that it mattered I knew once I was in UA I would lose contact with them. I would really miss my best friend though. I don't know if she will keep talking to me tho. She wasn't happy when I told her I wanted to apply to UA.

"That was amazing!" I heard someone chirp at me. It was Uraraka.

"Thanks," I said shyly no one's really complimented my fire quirk. I could feel my face heat up. Strange I wasn't using my fire quirk.

"Ok future heroes it's time to leave! You'll get your results in the next few days!" I heard Present Mic announced.

With that, I went home. This part of the test I wasn't worried about this. The written exam on the other hand. 'I should have studied more…'
