It had been a week since the UA entrance exams, and I was getting nervous about not receiving my results. I paced back and forth in the living room waiting for the delivery man.

"Y/N sit down. You're going to make a hole on the floor if you keep walking like that" my dad said to me. I was listening but I couldn't stop pacing back and forth. That's what I heard the mail slot be open and I just bolted towards it. 'It's here… it's finally here' I held the white envelope with the UA wax stamp on it. My hands were shaking, I could feel my stomach going into knots.

"Well did it get here?" my mom asked

"Yea…" was all I could say.

"Yue! Get down here your sisters' acceptance letter came in the mail!" my dad yelled out for my sister. I could hear her jump out of bed and run towards the stairs. 'Acceptance letter, oh man what if I didn't get in, what if I just disappoint them.' I walk towards the kitchen and set the letter on the table. I started walking back and forth again looking at it.

"Come one Y/N, you've been waiting for this letter all week and now you don't want to open it?" my dad complained.

"Honey shut up!" my mom said shooting him a death glare. My palms were starting to sweat. That's when I remembered Midoriya slapping himself with both hands on both cheeks. Wonder if it works. I slapped myself on both cheeks hard. This caused my entire family to look at me like I had lost my mind. But my head was clear. The stinging pain of my cheeks distracted my brain long enough to give me the courage to open the letter.

Grabbing the letter, I open it to see a small circular piece of metal. Then it turned on. I placed it on the table and a hologram on none other than All Might appeared. My mouth gaped open. My family stared in awe of that hologram.

"Young L/N it is an honor and a great pleasure to inform you that you have been accepted into UA's hero course." His voice boomed into my chest. Tears were already streaming down my face. "Not only that you came in first place for our field exam!" my eyes widen, and I heard the gasps coming from all around me. My parents smile so wide and proud, but I couldn't see them. I was so fixated on the hologram in front of me. "You received 78 combat points but destroying those robots for points wasn't the only thing you did. After destroying all those robots during the first half of the time given. You took it upon yourself to rescue other applicants giving you a total of 35 rescue points!" All Might said and a scoreboard showing the top 10 applicants.

1st Y/N L/N Villain- 78 points Rescue-35 Points Total- 113 points.

2nd Katsuki Bakugou Villains- 77 points Rescue- 0 points Total- 77points

3rd Ejiro Kirishima Villains- 39 points Rescue- 35 points Total- 74 points

4th Ochaco Uraraka Villains- 28 points Rescue- 45 points Total- 73 points

'She made it!' I squealed internally. I kept scanning the scoreboard

7th Tenya Iida Villains- 52 points Rescue- 9 points Total- 61 points

Right under him…

8th Izuku Midoriya Villains- 0 points Rescue 60 Points Total 60 points.

That little rascal didn't get a single robot, and he was still in the top 10. I wished I had known, maybe I could have helped him get at least one. That's when it happened my legs finally gave out on me. I was now on the floor crying. I saw a blur of my mom rush towards me and I felt her hug me. My dad right next to me now along with my sister in front of me. I couldn't see it because of my own tears but they were all crying with me.

"You did it, sweetheart," my dad whispered. "All your dreams are coming true" my little sister just hugging me. I doubt she knew how much this moment meant, but she would understand it one day. I kept crying letting my parents hug me. My mom patted the back of my head slowly my guess to calm me down. Looking at the hologram again All Might had his hand out towards me.

"You have made it Y/N L/N. You are now part of the Hero Academia"

Once those words reached my ears I screamed. I screamed at the top of my lungs.

Catching my breath, I yelled out "I DID IT! I MADE IT IN!"

"Not just that, you were the best of the best!" my dad yelled after me before embracing me into another tight hug.

~Time skip to the first day of school~

I woke up too early and ended up leaving the house too soon. My parents couldn't keep their proud faces under control, and it seemed like they had already told everyone they knew that I made it into UA. I decided to walk to school this time since flying would make me get there before they would even open the doors. I was walking when I saw a guy ahead of me with the UA uniform.

He had white and red hair but that was all I could tell from the back. 'I should say hi'

"Excuse me!" I yell as I start to jog to catch up to him. He didn't slow down or turn around. 'Guess he doesn't think I'm talking to him'. Once I caught up to him, I tapped his shoulder. He half-turned around with no expression.

"Hi, I'm Y/N L/N. You're a UA student, too right?" I asked him

"Yea" was the only thing he said. Wow, he had such a nice voice. I guess he isn't much of a talker.

"Mind if we walk together? I'm a first-year and I won't really know how to get there" that was a lie. Once I knew I got in I practiced the routes to UA until I memorized them.

He looked at me and then my wings with a side-eye. "Sure, I guess. It probably won't become a thing anyways."

"What do you mean?"

"You have wings, don't you? Once you learn the route, you'll probably just fly to school every day" He said in a monotone voice. Wow, it was so nice to hear his voice. He wasn't wrong either I was planning to do that to get more sleep in the mornings.

"Oh, I guess I could do that huh?" I acted surprised at the idea. "If I do decide that I could give you a lift every now and then," I told him. I was serious too I wanted to make friends at this school seeing that everyone else I knew went to other schools.

"No"

'Well, he was upfront with it.'

"Hey, what's your name? I hope you don't mind me asking."

"Shoto Todoroki," he says as he looks directly at me and that's when I noticed the scar on his left side. I hadn't seen it since I was standing on his right side. I looked at it then back at his eyes. I didn't want to stare at it.

"Well nice to meet you Todoroki. What class are you in?" I asked him now looking ahead.

"Uh. I'm in 1-A"

"Hey me too! I guess we'll be classmates!" I say looking back at him. He was taller than me, so he had to look down at me.

"I guess" he replied. With that, we walked the rest of the way in silence. We got to UA I had no idea which way to go but it looked like Todoroki knew where he was going. I just started to follow him.

After some time, I noticed we kept walking down the same halls more than a few times. "Umm Todoroki, do you know where our class is?" I finally asked him. He stopped and looked down at me.

"No, I was following you I thought you knew," He said looking slightly surprised.

"Umm I was following you," I said quietly.

He started looking around and then he saw what looked like a pro. He walked up to them talked to them a bit and came back to me. "Our class is that way," he said pointing at the direction we had just come from.

"I guess it's a good thing we came to school early huh?" I replied. He only nodded and started walking. I followed close behind him. Soon enough we reached our class. 'Wow, this door is huge!' Without even a glance at the door, Todoroki opened it to reveal a few students already inside. He walked in first with me right behind him.

"L/N it's you!" a familiar voice yelled out.

"Oh Iida, hey I saw you scored 7th congratulations," I said to him. Even though I didn't really like him he was in my class and I wanted to make friends.

"NO!" he yelled in a chopping motion making my smile drop. I just stared at him in complete confusion. "I should be congratulating you! You were 1st place in the entrance exams"

'Crap I kind of didn't want the class to find out so soon. I didn't want them to have high expectations from me when I can't even control one of my quirks' I thought, and my feathers immediately puffed up.

"Oh-h y-yea I did," I said. I looked over at Todoroki and he was staring at me I couldn't tell what he was thinking so I just gave him a small smile hoping he knew what the meant.

"Oh, I heard about you from some of the staff here in UA. They have high hopes for you but you're not what I was expecting" a girl near the windows with a high ponytail mentioned.

"Uh, what do you mean?" I asked not really wanting to know the answer.

"I thought you would be taller," she said

Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, people always assumed I was weak and needed protection since I was small, and well let's be honest chunky.

"You shouldn't judge her by her looks I saw her fight she definitely deserved that score she got!" Iida said while doing his chopping motions. I just half-heartedly laughed and moved to the back of the class. I took the desk next to Todoroki and he stared at me the entire walk there.

Once I sat down, he spoke "you don't have to sit next to me just because we walked here together" he was looking over at Iida and where he was sitting.

"Oh no I usually sit in the back, so my wings don't get in the way of other students" I explained while extending my left wing over to him. "Their pretty big and distracting so I'm usually asked to sit in the back"

"But you're short. Don't you have a hard time seeing the board?" I felt a jab in the heart. 'Does he actually care?'

"Oh, kind of but it doesn't bother me," I tell him.

He doesn't say anything and just looks straight ahead.

As time passed more and more students poured in. I was getting excited about seeing all the new students. Until I saw Blondie. How did a bully like him make it in? He walked into class closing the door behind him and made his way to a desk where he immediately put his leg on top of the desk. I could feel my feathers roughing up and fluffing. I took a breath trying to make my wings calm down. I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of ruffling my feathers. I saw Iida get up and walk towards him as the door opened.

"Take your feet off of that desk now" Iida told blondie.

"HUHHHHH" he responded.

"It's the first day of classes and you're already disrespecting this academy by scuffing school property" he explained. I don't think I ever been so happy someone was all about the rules. I looked over at the door and saw it was Midoriya. A giant smile formed on my face and I got up to go greet him. I was so happy he was in my class. Someone who reminded me of my sister, even though he wasn't truly quirkless.

"You're kidding me right… I ignored the conversation blondie was having with Iida.

"Midoriya it's good to see we're in the same class," I said to him. He looked like he was shaking while staring at the other two. Then he saw me and turned a shade of pink.

"Oh, hey L/N, are you in class 1-A?"

"Well I hope so or else I'm in the wro-"

"EY DID YOU SAY L/N" growled the blond behind me. Great, what does he want?

"Yea what of it Kacchan?" I asked back, Midoriya visibly flinched once I responded. 'Does he really think I wasn't going to say something back?'

"THE HELL YOU JUST CALL ME" he yelled even louder. My feathers started to puff up he was really getting under my skin.

"Your name" I stated like a fact.

"THAT AINT MY NA- wait a minute…" he started to say before he stood one leg on his chair and another on his desk. "YOUR THAT ICY BITCH FROM A YEAR AGO THAT PROTECTED THAT NERD DEKU"

"You just now realized?" I asked him pretty confused at this point.

"I'M GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS ICY BITCH! I'M GOING TO SHOW EVERYONE HERE THAT I'M THE REAL NUMBER ONE. NOT SOME GIRL THAT LOOKS LIKE YOU" ouch that actually hurt a bit. My biggest insecurity has always been how my body looked. Even though flying burned calories at an accelerated rate I was never thin. I was always curvier than my classmates. My face finally showed a scowl. The entire time I tried to show him he couldn't affect me.

"My Villain points were 78, while your total points were 77. I'm pretty sure that means I'm better." I snorted at him. That's when my wings felt a shiver and I quickly turned around to see what was behind me. That's when I saw a homeless man in a yellow sleeping bag staring at us.

Everyone noticing my reaction they looked towards the door.

"Welcome to UA's hero course" the homeless man said. 'Excuse me what who let a homeless man into the school?!' I thought I saw him take out what looked like a juice pack and finish it in one go.

"You noticed my presence in 3 seconds not bad," he said in a tired voice. "Uh, thanks?" I replied.

He stood up, got out of the sleeping bag, and said

"Hello, I am Shouta Aizawa, your teacher" everyone was shocked, to say the least of it. 'I feel so bad for thinking he was a homeless man'
