We were all standing outside at this point as Aizawa explained that we were going to do 8 physical exams but this time using our quirks. I wasn't really paying attention until he called out my name.

"L/N"

"sir?" I tried answering without panic.

"You got the most points on the entrance exams. What was your farthest throw with a softball when you were in junior high?" he asked.

"I think it was 24 meters," I said. I knew it was weak. My physical strength wasn't the best.

"Ok now throw this using your quirk" he tossed me a ball. 'I won't be able to use my wings or ice. I guess I'm going to try and use my fire. I could concentrate the fire in my palm and then release a single point in my hand, that should give it a boost' I thought to myself and I walked into the circle.

"Anything goes, just stay in the circle," Aizawa said to me. I was already focusing my flames into my hand.

I looked around me to see how far away my classmates were. Should be far enough. Taking in deep breaths to make sure my fire got as much oxygen as it could. I readied my right arm and at the last second, I released my fire from my fingers and throw the ball as hard as I could.

My wings could feel just how hot the surrounding area got. So, I created a bit of snow and sent it to the class. "I apologize for the heat," I told them. I could see all of them in awe.

I locked eyes with Todoroki and his eyes were cold and hard. Almost as if he hated me. 'Why is he looking at me like that'

"I thought your quirk was Ice!" yelled blondie.

"My quirk is Contrary Wings. I can create ice from my wings, but my body creates flames" I explained calmly.

"Enough," Aizawa said as he held up his phone with my score, 578.4 meters. I could hear the oo and the aaa's coming from my classmates. I was surprised too, but I kept my composure. I can't let them know I can't control my flames very well.

"Today we're going to compete in 8 physical tests to gauge your potential. Whoever comes in last has none, therefore will be expelled immediately." Gasps from all students were let out. I only widened my eyes and looked at Midoriya. How was he going to make it? If he uses his quirk his body would only fall apart. He was just staring at his hand.

"Now then, let the games begin," Aizawa said. 'Crap crap crap'

Test one 50-meter dash.

First up was Iida with a green-haired girl. She ended up hoping all the way to the end so I'm guessing a frog quirk.

Iida- 3.04 seconds

Froggie girl- 5.58 seconds

Next up. Uraraka and a blond guy with a tail.

Tail guy- 5.49 seconds

Uraraka- 7.15 seconds

Next up. Pink girl and the weird-looking blond. I knew him from the entrance exams. His quirk was a laser from his stomach.

The laser guy ends up falling halfway through the race and ends up with 5.58 seconds. Next was Midoriya and Blondie. Man does Midoriya look nervous. Blondie ended up using his blasts to carry him to the end halfway through.

Blondie- 4.13 seconds

Midoriya- 7.02 seconds

He was faster than Uraraka at least.

I was up next with Todoroki. On your marks get set, GO!

I used my wings to give me a speed boost and create ice to give me more momentum. I couldn't see Todoroki, so he was either behind me or right next to me. That's when I heard the machine.

"TIE 3.57 SECONDS"

I looked behind me and saw a trail of ice on Todoroki's side. But I didn't help him. I looked over to him and saw that his foot was coming off the ice. "My quirk is half hot, half cold. I can control ice from my right side" he explained.

"Oh, our quirks are similar then. We should try training together" I suggested. His face hardened again "No" was the only response I got before he walked away.

"L/N can you melt the ice for the next race?" I heard Aizawa shout.

"Y-yes sir" I stuttered out. I was in shock at how cold Todoroki was being towards me. I thought we had started out on a good foot. With a flick of my wings the ice melted down, and the rest of our tests continued.

Once we got to the ball throw test, I knew I didn't have to participate due to me being the first one to throw it.

"If Midoriya doesn't shape up soon, he'll be the one going home," said Iida. 'I know he's right but what can he do. His body destroys itself when he uses his quirk'

"Huhhhh of course he is! He's nothing but a quirkless loser!" the blonde yelled out. I glared in Bakugou's direction. By this time, I heard and remembered mostly everyone's name in this class. I was standing to the right of Todoroki and my wings flapped slightly after hearing his insults towards Midoriya.

"He has a quirk! Didn't you hear what he did during the entrance exams?" Iida responded. 'That's right Iida you tell that bully' I internally said as I calmed my ruffled feathers. I couldn't stand that guy, but I wasn't going to make a scene because of him. Little did I know as I watched Midoriya, Todoroki's eyes were on my wings, studying their reactions. I could feel eyes on me and when I looked up at Todoroki, I saw him staring straight ahead 'must be my imagination'

As I looked back at Midoriya and I saw him activate his quirk. But at the same time, I saw our teacher's hair start to float. He pulled at his scarf revealing his yellow goggles.

I widen my eyes in surprise "Eraser head" I whispered. That's when I heard Midoriya's score.

"46 METERS!"

"So, he erased his quirk" I whispered again. I looked up and saw Todoroki eyeing me.

"What are you talking about?" he asked.

"I erased your quirk," Aizawa said before I could answer Todoroki. "The Judges for this exam were not rational enough. They couldn't see that someone like you should have never been allowed to enroll at this school". I just looked down, as much as I hated to admit, as much as I admired Midoriya for risking his life to save Uraraka he was right. He may as well be quirkless with a quirk that destroys your body.

I decided to say something to get the attention away from Midoriya.

"You're Eraser Head the underground hero, right?" I asked. My classmates begin to mumble among themselves asking who that even was. "Correct" he responded not taking his eyes off Midoriya. "I've seen a few videos of you. You can take people's quirks away for a short period of time. Although I will admit I'm not too sure how you do it." His hair went down again, and he tossed another ball to Midoriya.

"Try again," he said. I only said the last part for my classmates to distract them for a bit. Of course, all eyes were on Midoriya again.

That's when he suddenly moved to throw the ball. There it was he used his quirk and a gust of wind picked up. I used my left wing to shield myself and Todoroki from the wind. I looked up at him and he seemed surprised that I used my wing to protect him. Soon as the wind was gone, I put my wing back in place and everyone was shocked at what he did. I smiled lightly, but it quickly went away when I remembered his body was probably broken from somewhere.

"705.3 meters!" chimed the voice. I stayed silent and kept my face composed. My feathers shivered. To my left! I looked to my left and saw none other than All Might looking at Midoriya almost like a proud… father. 'No way. There's no way! Could... Could Midoriya be All Might's secret child? no, no conspiracies Y/N. You sound crazy'

~Time skip to test score board~

"Alright time to give you your results. I ranked you best to worst" Aizawa said. I was standing at the front with Todoroki nearby. He stayed quiet for the rest of the tests. He wouldn't say a word to me. I was in 8th place. I was surprised at how high up I was. I was expecting to rank lower. I looked at the rest of the list and saw Midoriya was in last place.

"Also, I lied no one's going home. That was a rational deception to make sure everyone gave it their all" half the class just "HUH!"

"You guys didn't figure that out? Guess I should have said something earlier" Yaoyorozu said. She probably shouldn't have; half the class was glaring at her.

"Ok that's it for today. Pick up the syllabus in the classroom and read it over for tomorrow" Aizawa announced and he walked over to Midoriya handing him a paper.

"Well that was a surprising first day don't you think Todoroki?" I asked while looking up at him.

"I will agree with you this time," he responded, and I started walking back to the building. "Hey, are you walking home today, or are you flying?" I heard him call out.

"I'll probably walk. With the amount of stuff, we did today I doubt I have enough calories in my body to make it home flying" I told him.

"Calories?" he asked

"Yea flying burns a lot of calories for me and I doubt I'll have enough energy after today" I explained. What's with him has been like this all day. One moment he's acting like he wants nothing to do with me and the next he's asking all these questions.

"Oh ok," Todoroki responded. I went into the building changed and headed to the front of the school to head home. I saw Midoriya talking with Uraraka and Iida. I was about to approach them when I felt a warm hand touch my right shoulder. I looked up and saw it was Todoroki.

"Oh, hello Todoroki" I greeted him.

"Let's get going" was all he said, and he started walking. 'He wants to walk home together. He could have just asked, then again my social skills aren't great either considering most people liked to avoid me' I thought to myself as I walked closely behind him.

"Y/N!" I heard a bubbly voice say. I looked for the source and it was Uraraka. "Hey, are you guys heading to the station?" she asked, and I nodded. "We can walk there together. Iida and Midoriya are also heading that way" she chirped.

"Oh, ok" was all I could say at that moment I was so excited they still wanted to talk to me even after they saw me burn off my clothes at the entrance exam. "Are you alright with this Todoroki?" I asked him.

"Sure"

"I didn't know you two knew each other" Midoriya commented.

"Oh, we don't I ran into him on the way to school so were both heading the same direction" I mentioned.

I was getting butterflies inside my stomach. I was walking home with friends, I had friends. Midoriya, Iida, and Uraraka walked while making small talk. I stood in the back with Todoroki watching them. I didn't really contribute much to the conversation, but I was happy just walking with them.

"You know Todoroki, if every walk to and from school are like today, I don't think I'll ever fly to get to school," I told him. I looked up to see his reaction, but it was as expressionless as it usually was. It might have bothered other people but seeing that was somehow comforting.
