I had just left the hospital psychologist's office from my session. I let out a heavy sigh from the frustration of that meeting. I was begging to show dangerous signs of PTSD. My dad told me how my fire quirk was activating while I was recovering and how Todoroki helped calm me down by using his quirk. My dad was happy that I had a friend that acted so quickly, but he wasn't too excited that he was a boy. He could be so overprotective but he did say I was allowed to date once I was 16, and that's not too far away. I slapped my cheeks again copying Deku trying to stop myself from thinking of Todoroki that way.

I have more important things to worry about. Thanks to the attack I was now told I would have to regularly visit the school counselor because of what Recovery Girl and All Might found out about me.

~Flashback to a few hours ago~

"W-what do you mean m-my wings aren't my wings? And I CAN fly you've seen me!" I managed to say.

"As I said L/N those wings show different DNA sequences and at the base, there are signs of internal scarring. Although the scarring looks as if someone tried to erase it. We think that as a baby or a toddler someone attached them to you. And well you shouldn't be able to fly, your wings are not hollow making them extremely heavy and it should be impossible for you to fly. Your wings are abnormally durable and strong, unlike most quirks with wings that their wings are a bit fragile due to the hollow bones." Recovery Girl explained. I was looking at her in utter disbelief.

"Young L/N do you know anything about your biological parents?" asked All Might.

"No, I don't remember anything before I was adopted. All I know from my adopt-"

"It's fine young L/N you don't need to say more," He said, cutting me off.

"We know this is a lot to take in but there is one more thing" Recovery Girl said. "I took the liberty of running another test off the books"

"L/N there is a possibility that you have multiple quirks," All Might said. I was utterly confused. Then I remembered my wings and my ice were technically not my quirks.

"You may have up to 6 other quirks. You are 16 so they may just never manifest. Although my theory is that you have the ability to levitate and your wings are used as a way to stabilize how you levitate." I looked at her like she lost her mind.

"This doesn't make any sense! No one's born with these many quirks!"

"We don't believe you were born with these quirks. I believe someone implanted them into you" All Might said.

"Implanted them in me? As in I was experimented on?! That's Insane!" I yelled back at him.

"All Might, you shouldn't," Recovery Girl said in a warning tone.

"L/N. I'm sorry I must ask this. How did you end up in the system" he asked gently.

"I-I don't remember. I just know what I was told. I was found in the middle of a street by you All Might. You called the authorities and they took me to get checked. I guess they didn't find my parents because when I entered the adoption center my adoptive parents were in there filling out paperwork. My mom said she fell in love with me at first sight, so they adopted me right away. I didn't even know my own name. All they had to go on was my DNA that they imputed into the system in case my biological parents ever wanted to find me," I told him.

"So you were the little girl I found. I knew I recognized those wings of yours," All Might said. He looked thoughtful for a second before he asked "Would it be too much to do a few more tests. I would like to keep this from everyone except for us three"

Recovery Girl looked at him suspiciously like she didn't like the sound of that. "I don't mind you doing that. Anything so we can figure out what my body might be going through,"

"Also, your recovery went a lot quicker than anticipated. We recommend you rest over 3 days and you can return to school next week" Recovery Girl added.

"I will be going now. I need to meet with someone for lunch" All Might said, and he turned around to leave.

"I'll give you your space to dearie. I am sorry to spring this all on you" Recovery Girl said before she left.

End of Flashback~

My wings aren't mine. No, they are, they protect me, and they allow me to fly. If someone else did have these wings… I shouldn't think about this. I guess they were right to make me have 3 sessions a week with the counselor. I hope she was nice and understanding since we're going to see each other a lot.

I walked into my room and the flowers that someone brought immediately caught my attention. They were really pretty and they brought me so much comfort. They reminded me of Todoroki's hair.

"Do you like them?" I heard Todoroki's voice. I turned to see the door and he was standing there in his school uniform and some extra books and… a teddy bear. It was a white teddy bear with a red shirt that had 'Thank You' written in white. It was bigger than the one Bakugou had given me.

"Yeah, I do, they're really pretty," I said while I was touching a white tulip. "What's with the bear?" I asked as I pointed at it.

"Oh!" he said as if he forgot he had it. "I told my sister everything that happened after I got home that day and she insisted that I get you a thank you gift. Although I did get you flowers, she thought it wasn't enough"

"A thank you gift?" I asked.

"Well yes. You did save me from that fall" he said.

"Oh, that! I did what anyone else would have done. I truly wasn't expecting a thank you gift," I say honestly. He came closer and handed me the bear, which I accepted gratefully.

"Regardless I owe you" he replied but he had a look that he needed to say something serious. "I wanted to talk to you about that friend of yours. The one you ate lunch with?" he said in a serious voice.

"Oh, was he not there?"

"No, he was. I gave him your number as you asked. But at the end of the day, most of the school came to look at our class since they heard we fought villains. He was there and he declared war on our class." I looked at him in utter shock. He didn't seem like the type; he was quiet. "I don't think you should spend time with him anymore," he said snapping me from my thoughts.

"I'll talk to him. I want to know his side of the story too" I told him. He just nodded.

"Also, the UA sports festival is coming soon. We have a month to prepare. They delayed it so they could test out some of the new security systems."

"OH, that's right I forgot about the festival! I need to train." I said getting excited. "Oh, you're going to be coming over for schoolwork, right? How about we train together. It might be beneficial for both of us. I could use some help with close combat." I admit while scratching the back of my head.

"Ok. Although it might be a good idea to train at my house. We have a training room and training grounds" Todoroki said

"W-what?! Really?" I ask eagerly.

"Yeah," he said matter of fact.

"Ok then!"

~Time Skip to Monday of next week~

Todoroki had come over all weekend to help me study. We first started studying at the kitchen table, but my family kept interrupting. At one point my dad tried to interrogate Todoroki. I was so embarrassed we ended up studying in my room with only Yue allowed to come in and out as she pleased. She came to me a lot for help with her homework, so it was normal. Todoroki didn't seem to mind. Thanks to him I wouldn't be behind in class.

I finished washing my face when I heard my phone ding with a new message.

~Shoto T.

-Good morning, are we still walking to school together?

~Y/N

-Of course!

~Shoto T.

-Ok I'll pick you up at your place.

-See you in a bit

~Y/N

-Ok

'He never offered to pick me up from home before, that's a bit strange' I thought to myself. I was slowly realizing I was starting to like Todoroki, but I kept pushing those feelings down since I barely knew him. Besides someone as calm and collected as himself wouldn't go for someone who struggles in normal classes. Then again, I am class deputy, I shake my head pushing the thoughts to the side. I quickly got ready and made sure to bring my training clothes and my bento box, I was nervous about talking to my lunch buddy. I went outside and noticed Todoroki wasn't here yet. I waited outside the gate. My mind began to wonder.

'Does he even know who I am? Does he know I am in class 1-A? He must know since Todoroki talked to him. Why would he declare war on our class? Not only that, what am I going to do about my wings. Should I tell someone? I haven't even told my parents!' I was stuck in my own train of thought. I didn't even notice that Todoroki was walking towards me. He noticed I still had my wings bandaged up but I no longer had the splints that held them in place. He smiled a bit seeming glad that I was getting better, however his smile was gone when he saw me frowning lost in thought.

"Is something wrong?" he asks me. I end up jumping with a small squeal.

"ee! Oh, geez you scared me! How did you do that? My feathers tend to tell me if someone is getting close" I ask wondering how he managed to sneak up on me. He had a small smile on his face.

"I'm not sure, you were really lost in thought," he said. I wondered if it's because my wings are still bandaged up. "What were you thinking about?" he asked, and we started walking towards the school.

"Just worried about my lunch buddy. I don't know how exactly I'm going to talk to him" I answered half-honestly.

'I have to ask All Might about being able to tell everyone'

"If you're that worried then just don't meet up with him" he suggests.

"No. That doesn't solve anything. I do wonder though; does he even know I'm in class 1-A. He knows I'm in the hero course, but I never told him which class" I tell him. "Sorry, I know I'm talking more than usual"

"I don't mind," he replied calmly.

"This is so frustrating. I never really had to deal with this. Pretty much all Junior High people avoided me because of my fire quirk. I don't know what I'm doing" I let out my frustration.

"They would avoid you because of your quirk?" Todoroki asked.

"Someone spread a rumor that I threatened to burn them alive. I never knew who it was, but everyone avoided me because of that. I only ever had one friend, but she hasn't replied to any of my texts since I told her I was accepted into UA" I explained to him. "She was a little weird and clingy, but she was the only friend I had"

"I never really had many friends either. I was too busy being trained and everyone was intimidated by me," he said. I looked up at him. He did look like someone who worked out, and he said his family had training grounds.

"You don't smile much, so I can see how some people can be intimidated," I tell him.

"You don't smile much either, you know," he said.

"What? I smile plenty" I told him while pouting. He smiled and gave a light laugh. My pout disappeared because I tried to control the blush forming on my face. I was pretty sure that was the first time I heard him laugh. It was contagious even if it was only a light one. I ended up giggling too and all the stress from before melted away. We walked a while without saying anything. The comfortable silence filled the air as we walked and soon in the distance, we could see UA.

"How come your wings are still bandaged up?" I heard him ask.

"Oh, the doctor wants me to take precaution. She said to keep them bandaged up and that I shouldn't fly until tomorrow afternoon when I can take the bandages off. I can't wait, my feathers are getting restless being wrapped up" I explain.

"Will you be able to train today?" he asks

"Of course, my body is fine. I just need to keep my wings still until tomorrow" I tell him. He only nodded in understanding. We reached class and I opened the door.

"WELCOME BACK L/N" I heard the class yell and streamers flew everywhere. I was left in complete shock by what was happening in front of me. There was a huge sign saying "Welcome back class Deputy" the whole class was there, even Bakugou who was in the corner looking angry. I kept looking around in disbelief. Deku, Uraraka, Kaminari, Asui, Ashido, were holding party poppers that were going off. Everything was in slow motion. Iida was standing next to Satou and his hands were up. Satou was holding a small personalized cake with a cover. Everyone else was smiling and holding up their hands. I could feel my mouth drop at the surprise.

"Surprise!" yelled Iida.

"W-w-what is – W-wha-" I couldn't get the words out. I could feel a rush of emotions all at once.

"We wanted to thank you for everything," said Uraraka.

"Y-yeah thanks t-to you no o-one was s-seriously h-hurt. I m-mean e-except f-f-for you" Deku shudder out. I closed my mouth and just kept looking around with wide eyes. I couldn't believe they would do this for me.

"Ok everyone together now! Let's get a picture before Aizawa sensei gets here and makes us clean up!" yelled Iida. "L/N front and center!" he pushed me towards the center, and he took my bag and put it to the side.

"Here L/N I hope you like strawberries. I made the icing look like Sakura trees since it's still April" he said, handing me the cake. I wiped off the paper confetti that was left on top of the cake.

The beautiful pink cake read 'Thank you Y/N -Your friends' class 1-A'. My friends. I looked around and saw everyone smiling at the camera in the front. Todoroki was standing next to me on my right. He was staring at the camera with a smile that was barely visible. He helped plan this. That's why he picked me up at school and he was a bit late. So, the class could have time to set this up.

This was such a nice surprise after the news I was given last week. That was all I could think about at night. I went from having only one weird friend in Junior High to becoming the class deputy of my new class, finding out I was some strange kid who was probably experimented on by her biological parents. To now surrounded by friends who were happy to see me. I had friends, who knew my fire quirk and weren't scared of me. I had butterflies in my stomach, it was a feeling I didn't know.

"Ok Timers on!" Yelled Hagakure snapping me out of my deep thoughts and she dashed to her place. I tried to smile but it only made tears fall. I giggled a bit but then I opened my eyes just in time for the picture. My eyes were still blurry with tears.
