Katsuro stretched his arms up when the door slammed shut and laid full bodied on the couch with his hands pillowing his head. The shadow gulped when he saw the size of the bulge through the dark pants.
Boy was this going to make for a report.
*Some Time Later*
After Shisui was cleared of any suspicions, Katsuro started paperwork for creating a clan and began work for his new compound to be built. It is to have four buildings that were connected through intersecting walkways. The main building will have two floors: the first floor having the sitting room, kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms, and a large patio in the back with an outdoor table and chairs; and the second floor having 10 large bedrooms, the biggest being the master bedroom with three beds: the center one being the largest that could hold about 8 adults comfortably and the other two being smaller for about 4 adults each. There were to be bathrooms and closets in each room with the master having a huge walk-in closet.
While the construction was going on, with Katsuro overseeing much of it, Shisui was reinstated as a Special Jounin of Konohagakure and was getting back into the flow of such a risky lifestyle. The three mates were introduced to each other and got along splendidly. The raven was more cheerful and would occasionally coerce the more reserved, or lazy, nin to go out as a big family.
Kakashi was very slowly getting used to intimacy between him and Katsuro and loved the attention Katsuro showered him in with each caress, kiss, and embrace. He and Shisui really got along when it came to more… 'literature'-based discussions.
Iruka was very much the mother hen and was seen taking more of the household maintenance role as they waited for the compound to be completed. He had help, of course, so he could relax and enjoy the company of his fellow mates and essential 'Alpha'.
Everything was going smoothly, Katsuro didn't have much trouble with making a life in his home village.
*Fast-forward*
As the weeks progressed, Team 7 was beginning to become annoyed at the list of "chores" they were getting. After capturing Tora for the nth time(more like when Tora escapes, their Team always got saddled with the mission due to Tora becoming attached to the dual-haired teen), they were ready for a C-rank.
"Excuse me, Hokage-sama, but can we get a higher ranked mission?" Surprisingly, Sakura was the one to speak up first. The Sandaime quirked an eyebrow and leaned back while letting loose an exhale of tobacco smoke.
"Oh? And do you all think you're ready for a C-rank?" Hiruzen questioned. Sasuke crossed his arms.
"We're getting tired of doing all the villagers' chores—"
CRASH! MERROW!
There was silence when they heard Madam Shijimi cry out for Tora. You could see tick marks popping over the heads of Sasuke and Sakura. Kakashi hid an amused smile behind the familiar orange book. Katsuro just sighed.
"We're ninja! We should be working to get stronger! Not babysitting or pulling weeds out of someone's yard!" The Uchiha continued earnestly. Iruka slammed has hands onto the desk and abruptly stood up.
"You are fresh-out-of-the-Academy genin! You do not have the experience nor the authority to request a higher mission!" The brunet scolded. Sasuke turned away with a 'tsk'.
"Now, now, Iruka. The decision lies in the Sensei. So, what do you think, Kakashi? Are they ready for a C-rank mission?" The old man asked. The Hatake made a show of tilting his head in thought to which the pinkette and the raven gave him death glares and the masked blond-raven gave a quirked brow.
"Maa. I believe Team Seven is ready for their first C-rank, Hokage-sama." The silver-haired man informed.
Sakura silently cheered with a huge smile on her face. Sasuke had a satisfied smirk and stood up straighter with confidence. Katsuro smiled reassuringly toward Iruka's concerned countenance. Though a sly hand was inching closer to a certain cyclops' behind.
"Very well, then. We just received a mission from the Land of Waves. Your mission is to guard your employer until he completes the bridge he is building for his country. Send in Tazuna-san!" The door opened a few moments later to reveal an aging man with glasses And who was obviously drunk judging by the glaze in his eyes and the flush in his cheeks. It makes it no better that he was holding a gourd filled with liquor.
Tazuna took a look a quick gulp from the bottle, "So these are the ninja that are supposed to protect me? Ha! All I see is an emo with a duck's ass on his head, a bubblegum-haired girl who looks like she'd freeze at the first sign of trouble, and a—" you could see him visibly shiver when he locked eyes with the other teen, "—u-umm... well, at least he looks a bit intimidating," the man finished his assessment to the indignation of two of the genin.
"Why you—!" Kakashi put a hand on Sakura's shoulder to stop her from any further movements.
"Calm down, Sakura. You can't go off attacking our client. Bad for business, no?" The hidden command in his tone was heard and Sakura backed down with a pout and a huff. Sasuke was sending burning glares to the old man but otherwise kept quiet.
Kakashi subtly jumped when he felt the appendage caress his ass. He was so thankful that his mask hid the blush that sprouted underneath. The only ones to catch the action were Iruka and the elder Sarutobi.
"Hm? Is everything alright, Kakashi?" Hiruzen asked. Kakashi gave a sheepish smile and waved off their concern.
"No, everything's alright, Hokage-sama. Well, team, make sure to pack for an extended mission and we will meet up at the East Gate in two hours." The genin nodded and left the administration office to get ready.
As Katsuro and Kakashi walked to the completed main building of the compound, they came across another team. It was Team Ten. Sarutobi Asuma as Sensei with genins Nara Shikamaru, Yamanaka Ino, and Akimichi Choji.
"Hey, Kakashi! How's it going?" The bearded man greeted with a cigarette tucked in the corner of his lips. Katsuro was admiring the Sarutobi but knew by the smell of a female hidden under scent-less soap that he was taken.
The other two males though were catches themselves. One was thin and fit with spiky black hair reminiscent of Iruka, brown eyes and silver hooped earrings. He looked incredibly lazy but there was an intelligence that shone through his eyes like that of the most wisest of men. The other was heavily weighted, being that of the Akimichi Clan, with light brown hair that fell just past his shoulders and a red swirl on both cheeks. He was currently eating from a bag of potato chips but his aura gave off a feeling of great kindness and strength. The blonde girl, while pleasing to the eyes, seemed a bit of a narcissist and beauty queen though looked as if she did at least train.
"Hey. Katsuro, right?" Shikamaru was the first to speak up. Katsuro nodded.
"Hai. It's nice to meet you all. The heirs of the Nara, Akimichi, and Yamanaka Clans; Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino, respectively."
Ino smirked, "It seems you know who we are, but isn't your real name Naruto Uzumaki? Why go by the name 'Katsuro'?"
"Well, when I was taken in by my sensei, I was asked if I wanted to completely start over. That included my name. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but thinking about it, I wanted to have that power to be able to restart my life and mold myself into the way I want I to be. I accepted and also became quite attached to my new name. Naruto is till a part of me, but I am now more than Naruto could've been should I have stayed in the deplorable state I was in."
Shikamaru raised an eyebrow. "'Deplorable'? What made your living conditions deplorable?" Katsuro gave a off a mysterious aura that gave the trio chills.
"Let's just say that fear is a powerful emotion. But enough about that. What do you say to us all getting some dinner together? My treat." Choji immediately perked up at that. Shikamaru smirked while Ino shook her head with a hand on her forehead. Their sensei just chuckled.
"Really?!" The hefty teen exclaimed in anticipation. Katsuro merely nodded.
"Cool! We know this restaurant where you can grill your own meat. Interested?"
"Sounds wonderful. How 'bout it, Kakashi? Asuma-san?"
"Why not." With that, the group moved into the streets of Konoha. Almost immediately the ninjas could hear and see the tension around the villagers. Murmurs and curses were being thrown at them but they noticed the looks were only centered at the dual-haired teen. Kakashi silently growled and shifted closer to his lover. Asuma had a grim look upon his face. The rest of his team were confused by the hostility.
"Asuma-sensei, what's going on?" Ino asked bewildered and a bit afraid of the negativity that seemed to be seeping into her pores. Shikamaru had a pensive look in his eyes while Chouji gulped in apprehension.
"It seems like some villages still harbor some...animosity." Katsuro Commented casually as he kept walking toward their destination. The other five kept hearing whispers of 'monster', 'demon', 'die', and other such hateful things. Kakashi bit his lip To stop from doing anything that could jeopardize himself and Katsuro. Having his hand held by the blue-eyed teen helped. It wasn't until one brave (stupid) soul stepped forward with a sneer.
"Ya know, we could've lived peacefully had you not come back, demon. I don't know why you did, but you were better off being dead rather than contaminating the air we breathe." Hey jeered and some of the civilians behind him laughed cruelly. Katsuro merely raise and eyebrow.
"Hey! That was uncalled for! What's your deal anyway?!" This, surprisingly, came from Ino. She was so incensed that her face was a bit red but you cannot deny that her curiosity was piqued and yet still flabbergasted.
"If you don't wanna get infected by that demon, I suggest you get away from it! It'll bring nothing but death and destruction if left to live!" Another civilian shouted. A few more villagers stepped forward and with anger plastered on their faces. One villager grabbed the Nara and began pulling him away.
"Come, Nara-san! You and the others will be much safer away from the demon!" He tugged and a few others joined in. They started herding Team 10 away despite their protests and struggles to get away. They didn't want to use too much of their strength in case they hurt them accidentally.
Kakashi wasn't moving from beside the blond-raven and even smacked away a woman who was tugging at his wrist. This caused chaos to start reining down.
"Forget about him! It's no use! The demon's got its claws too far in him!"
"Damn you, bastard! Why can't you just die! Leave all the rest of us normal people alone!"
"Go away! No one wants you here!"
"You'll pay for what you did 16 years ago!"
Many threats were shouted at the genin who only shadowed his eyes. Kakashi was pissed and argued back at them. It wasn't until someone called the jōnin an insulting name did the teen snap.
