Upon disembarking, Tazuna thanked the fisherman gratefully and lead his protection to his home.
As they walked, they could see the deep poverty wherever they looked; men, women and children practically in rags and despondent; shopkeepers with barely any good products; fear and depression in nearly every surface and crevice in houses and alleys. Sakura's expression was one of sadness and sympathy for the unfortunate souls. Sasuke carefully kept his expression blank but you could see the tightening of his lips and clenched fists. Katsuro had his eyes hidden behind his bangs but if you were to look closer, you could see how deeply red his eyes had gotten.
They finally made it to Tazuna's house where they were greeted by his daughter, Tsunami, who, upon noticing the man slumped upon another man's back, beckoned them in and instructed Katsuro on where to put Kakashi.
On his way up with his precious cargo, Katsuro turned to his two teammates and quietly instructed them to secure the house. Once they gave him nods in agreement, he carried the chakra-exhausted jōnin to a spare room.
He laid Kakashi down on the bed and stripped him of his flack jacket and weapons pouch. He made sure to tuck the unconscious man in and planted a kiss upon his forehead then left Kakashi in the shaded room to head back downstairs.
Following the quiet sounds of the house's occupants, he found himself in the living room where everyone was seated and found himself a seat on chair placed there by Tsunami.
"Katsuro-san, will your sensei be alright?" The kind woman asked with clear worry in her body language. The teen sighed and leaned back a bit.
"Yes, but rest is imperative if he wants to recover more swiftly. I'm sorry for worrying you." He apologized.
"No no! It's quite alright! As long as you're sure he will be okay, I'll try my best to help him in any way I can." Tsunami offered. That brought a small smile from the dual-haired shinobi.
"Thank you, Tsunami-san."
"Well, what do we do now? Kakashi-sensei is bedridden and it is getting kind of late…" Sakura piped in.
"Oh goodness! Let me make dinner before it gets any later! I'll try to do the best that I can with such short notice of extra guests." The matriarch of the household jumped up and scurried to the kitchen. Katsuro joined her with the offer to help out, but the woman didn't want to trouble him. Katsuro just rolled a sleeve up and placed a finger on a part of the dark markings that appeared there and with a poof, a few containers popped out.
Katsuro showed the woman what was inside which was a few fish on partially melted ice cubes, some packets of different meat, a sack of rice, a few cartons of eggs, some seasonings and a variety of vegetables.
Tsunami and Tazuna were astounded at the amount that they were brought to tears.
"Oh, Kami-sama! How— are you sure we can use this?! This is too much!" Tsunami was freaking out. Soon, a teen arrived down the stairs from all the commotion. He had short brown hair, dark eyes, and wearing a faded dark green shirt, dark blue pants and double blue stripes on a white bucket-like hat.
When the younger teen saw the new inhabitants, he instantly frowned with annoyance. He turned his attention to the kitchen to see what got his mother and grandfather all in a tizzy.
Stepping into the kitchen, the brunet as amazed at the amount of food that was laid out upon the counter.
"M-Mom?! Where'd all this come from?" He questioned and got a look of nervous happiness from her.
"Well, Katsuro-san, here, is letting us use the food he had stored so that we can have a big dinner! Isn't that nice, Inari?" Tsunami slowly beamed. The younger teen's eyes landed on the tall man with bi-colored hair looking at him with calm, piercing eyes.
"You? W-why would you do that? We don't need your charity!" Katsuro lifted an eyebrow.
"It is not charity. It's called 'kindness', something I'm sure has been absent from the looks of the state of your country. Besides, we did come on short notice so it's the least I could do." He calmly stated while washing vegetables. The two stared at him in stunned silence before Tsunami jolted into action to help with cooking. The brunet boy crossed his arms while watching the dual-haired male for a moment before walking out of the kitchen and back upstairs.
The house was pleasantly silent with a little chatting between the two cooks and between Sakura and Tazuna. Sasuke sat just outside the door on the porch while swiping his blade.
Soon, the matriarch of the house called for eveyone to the table for dinner was ready. As she set the table, Katsuro brought out the dishes and set them in the center. Everyone dug in after saying their prayer and it was a peaceful moment. Tsunami questioned them about their village and Tazuna talked them up about protecting him from rogue ninjas. Inari was mostly silent along with Sasuke and Katsuro but kept eyeing the young man from time to time.
When everyone had their fill, Katsuro offered to help clean up but the brunet woman refused and told him she'd handle it. She packed up the food and washed dishes. Tazuna lead Sakura to the only other room they have available for her to sleep in while Sasuke went into the bathroom to ready himself for bed after Katsuro came out and Inari was already locked away in his room.
The night grew quiet as everyone slowly fell asleep. Katsuro was the only one still awake and watching the world outside one of the two windows as he processed the day. He soon turned over and gave Kakashi a gentle kiss to his forehead, firmly tucked him in and finally went to sleep himself.
