"Well, if he has no name, and he seems to trust you so much, I think it's only right that you get the honor of naming the little guy."

AT THE SAME TIME

Sasuke was sitting on the stool in the bathroom with the shower head pelting his body. He was still trembling despite the hot water making his skin bright red. He kept replaying what happened in that hellhole and tugged on his hair hard enough that he distantly felt strands of hair detach from their roots. Sasuke could still feel the touch of those repulsive men everywhere, but the most nauseating feeling was the phantom hands at his nether region. He could feel bile rise up into his throat and the raven violently vomited right on the floor between his legs. He kept retching until it became painful and all that was left was stomach acid.

The Uchiha shuddered and blinked open his tear-stained eyes toward the floor of the shower, watching his sick wash away down the drain. He covered his eyes with pruning hands and kept breathing raggedly.

After the water turned sufficiently cold, Sasuke swayed onto his feet, turned the shower head off, and grabbed a towel to dry off. He was so lethargic and mentally distant that he was startled when there was a knock on the door. He frantically wrapped the towel around himself to hide as much skin as possible and called out that he was about to get out. He heard Tsunami's voice through the door and can understand her confusion when he and Katsuro were last seen leaving the house.

When he heard her footsteps recede, he breathed out a shaky sigh of relief before quickly leaving the bathroom and into the room he shared with his male teammates. He grabbed a change of clothes from his travel bag, threw them on quickly, and dropped onto his bedroll - curling under the thin blanket until the only thing peeking from underneath was the white knuckles of his clenched fists holding the fabric over his head.

The silence of the room embraced him, but the emotional turmoil and quiet sobbing disturbed the tenuous tranquility.

LATER THAT DAY

Katsuro was helping Tsunami with dinner once again, but this time, with a little body sat above his shoulders. He had tried to get the child to sit next to Kakashi on the couch in the main room, but he refused to let him go. The genin decided to plant the boy on his shoulders so he would be able to assist with dinner without hindrance.

The other occupants of the house were doing their own thing with Tazuna still reeling at what Katsuro and Sasuke had done for his village. Sakura was worriedly staring toward the stairs to the second floor after her attempt to get Sasuke down for dinner.

"Kakashi-sensei… Do you know what's going on with Sasuke-kun? He still hasn't come down yet after I told him dinner was almost ready." She informed her superior with blatant concern. Kakashi placed his book down onto the low table and stood up.

"I'll grab him. Don't worry Sakura." He patted her shoulder and started up the stairs. He knocked on the door to their borrowed room.

"Sasuke? It's time to eat." A beat of silence. Then longer. He knocked again, "Sasuke?" Another bout of quiet before he finally heard movement. He waited until the door swung open to view a disheveled Uchiha. The younger male would not meet his eyes and kept the door slightly ajar.

"Sasuke… I heard that something unpleasant happened while you and Katsuro were out… I can only make guesses at this point, but I know you have the strength to get through this. If you need someone to talk to, know that I am always willing to listen. This goes for Katsuro as well, I'm sure. I'm certain he wouldn't mind you confiding in him." Kakashi quietly spoke. Sasuke kept his eyes averted but noticeably grit his teeth before nodding and slipped out of the door with Kakshi moving back to accommodate him.

The elder male waited in the hall as Sasuke took a detour to the bathroom to straighten up his appearance then moved on downstairs. Kakashi observed his student visibly pulling himself together to appear as his normal self. He frowned behind the Uchiha's back.

"As soon as this mission is over, I'll need to get him some help. I know he has to come to terms with what happened to him was not his fault, but with his pride, he may end up hurting himself more..." The jounin thought to himself.

When Sakura spotted the Uchiha, she jumped up and tried to hug him with a cry of his name. She didn't notice the minut flinch Sasuke gave as she closed in on him, but he quickly sidestepped her and sniped at her to not touch him before he quickly made his way to the dining room's table.

Sakura stumbled and turned in the direction of her crush.

"Sasuke-kun…? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She questioned. Said male kept quiet for a beat.

"It's none of your business." His cold reply caused Sakura to wince and visibly slump.

"O-oh… okay." She mumbled meekly. Kakashi placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Let's give him some space, Sakura. He's a pretty private person anyway. Let's go sit down. Dinner will be done soon." He guided her to the table, away from the brooding raven, and left her to walk up to the two blue-eyed males.

"Kazuhiko, would you like to come and sit at the table with us for dinner? I bet you're starving." The silver-headed man gently spoke to the small child. He tilted his head with a reassuring gaze and held his arms up to him.

Kazukiho watched him for a few seconds before extending his own arms out and letting Kakashi lift him up off of Katsuro's shoulder, with some help from said man leaning down a bit and carrying the boy to the filling table.

Kakashi sat the child on his lap as Katsuro and Tsunami finished placing passing out filled plates and the extra foods in the center of the table. Kazuhiko had a small plate in front of him besides Kakashi's and stared at the tasty smelling and looking food. He looked over at the other blue-eyed male that sat next to him and the one-eyed man with a questioning look. The long-haired man gave him a soft smile, picked up a bit of rice and fish on his chopsticks, and held up the offering. Kazuhiko took a few seconds to study the food in front of him before opening his mouth to accept.

As soon as he closed his mouth around the food, his eyes widened at the flavors bursting on his tongue. He chewed a few times before swallowing and, unbeknownst to him, there was a small smile on his lips. Kakashi and Katsuro watched his reaction and smiled to each other at the boy's enjoyment of flavors he most likely has never had while under the mercy of the hired soldiers.

Besides that, warm moment, dinner was a lively affair. Mostly because of Tazuna and Tsunami, but 3 out of 4 members of Team Seven contributed, as well. Inari intently listened- enraptured by the actions of the ninja.

Since Sasuke was usually a quiet person, Tazuna's family did not think much of the young man's silence. But the other 3 at the table can sense an unusual barrier around the Uchiha.

"Oh, Sasuke-kun… I wish you would tell me what's wrong… I want to help you in whatever way I can." Sakura eyed the raven while nibbling on a piece of fish. Kakashi and Katsuro looked at each other and had somewhat the same thoughts.

"I hope he seeks out help when he comes to fully understand and cope with what's happened to him. He can be an ass sometimes, but even he didn't deserve such heinous actions done against him."

Katsuro's attention turned back to Kazuhiko to try to keep his face and clothes clean until he could find some clothes for the kid as it seems he has not been taught how to use chopsticks.

The next few days went by steadily and the bridge was nearly completed. During that time, Inari had grown closer to the older, dual-colored haired male after apologizing for his callous words from before. He had gotten pointers on wielding anything as a weapon to defend himself and his family. The patience and strength of the genin had him admiring him and lit a fire in his soul to want to become stronger to protect his home.

They've spent some time just getting to know each other - Inari questioning what the life of a ninja is like and getting the hard truth about some of what it means to be a ninja. Inari was a bit discouraged when he learned about the bloodshed in a ninja's life, but he steeled himself, promising that he would still ask the ninjas helping his village.

… It didn't hurt that he thought Katsuro was really attractive. The 15-year-old found himself flustered by the genin whenever the other was shirt-less. It was worse when Katsuro would praise him and help him in correcting his stances. He really hopes his mother and grandfather will let him leave to live in Konohagakure with Katsuro.
