It's Christmas time once again.
This Year, I've got a story based on a fictional wrestler that is a childhood favorite of mine.
(Note that this takes place in a fictional world so please don't expect any real-life promotions in this story)
Now then, without further ado let's begin…

The North Pole power struggle

It has been an interesting day for the Japanese Masked Wrestler known as the Black Ninja and his childhood friend: The Japanese/American Joshi Wrestler known as Annabeth "Annie" Mae.
But first, some information is needed for context...
Initially The Black Ninja was on a U.S. Tour to compete in a tournament to win the World Heavyweight championship belt of the Independent Union, the promotion that the duo were a part of after the belt was won through unhanded tactics by a member of The W3 organization and took it back with him to America.
Due to his sense of honor and believing that he believed that he had owed a great deal to the Independent Union and the former champion, he volunteered to return the belt back to the Independent Union.
And so, With Annabeth by his side, The Black Ninja set off for Los Angeles, where the venue for the tournament, the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, was located.
The Black Ninja battled through many unique opponents and unique stipulations (as well as even teaming up with Annabeth in a few tag team matches) on his journey to recover what was taken from the Independent Union.
It took three long months, but The duo eventually managed to come out on top at the tournament's conclusion, even managing to gain allies and friends during said tournament.
All that remained was dealing with the man who had underhandedly won the Independent Union World Heavyweight championship.
This man was a boxer from a wealthy family and decided to increase his wealth by entering the wrestling circuit.
This man immediately had made his presence known by outright buying nearly every single American promotion in business with the W3 organization, strong-arming his way into the organization and soon set his sights on Japan, starting with the independent Union.
The boxer was refused purchase by the independent Union, preferring to keep with their namesake.
Unfortunately, "no" was not in this Boxer's vocabulary and thus through blackmail, he gained a match against the Independent Union world Heavyweight champion, a fellow masked wrestler and pseudo tag team partner of The Black Ninja, known as The Unknown.
The Unknown fought valiantly but was ultimately bested by the boxer ringing the masked Wrestler's bell with a powerful head-butt to the face, leaving the unknown dazed and partially unresponsive, leading to the match ending by referee stoppage and the boxer winning the championship.
However, this was not enough for the boxer as he ripped off part of The Unknown's mask and probably would have ripped off the entire mask, had the Black Ninja not intervened to protect his tag partner's identity.
The Boxer then warned that he would get his hands on the Independent Union.
Things would come to a head on the night of December 24th.
With a capacity crowd in the arena and Annabeth in his corner, The Black Ninja stared down the Man who had caused the Independent Union so much trouble.
Fueled with quiet rage from holding his humiliated tag partner and watching him get carted away, The Black Ninja immediately rushed the boxer as soon as the bell rang with a series of strikes, catching his opponent off guard and forcing the boxer to block.
The boxer, however, then tried to counterattack with a head-butt, but was met with a roundhouse kick to the face.
The Boxer then began throwing wild haymakers at The Black Ninja.
However, the Black Ninja, having studied tapes of the Boxer's matches in the boxing circuit, knew the Boxer's pattern and dodged the blows very easily.
Unfortunately, the Boxer had one more trick up his sleeve and spat in the Black Ninja's eyes while the latter was dodging, temporarily blinding him.
The boxer then tried to make a grab at the Ninja's mask, causing the masked wrestler to go into a state of panic and pure rage, leading to a sharp elbow to the stomach, stunning the boxer.
After managing to regain some of his sight, the Black Ninja managed to grab the boxer and slam him with his finishing move, the Back Breaker Bomb to win the match by pin fall.
Upon the bell ringing, the Black Ninja was lifted up by several Independent Union wrestlers who come to watch the match as confetti rained down.
Part of the way through the celebration, The Unknown entered the ring.
Upon being placed back on his feet, the Black Ninja immediately began handing the belt back to The Unknown but was stopped by the latter.
The Unknown then stated that The Black Ninja had rightfully earned the Championship and that the Black Ninja deserved to be the new Independent Union World Heavyweight Champion.
The celebration then continued for some time.
Later that evening at the hotel room of The Black Ninja and Annabeth. The two were given some time off by the Independent Union as thanks for dealing with the Boxer and his underhanded tactics. The Black Ninja decided to have a session of well needed meditation While Annabeth decided to get some sleep.
However, fate had a different plan for these two…

The Black Ninja eventually was snapped out of his meditation by the sounds of howling wind and a sudden change in temperature.
The newly crowned world champion opened his eyes and began looking around, noticing that he was now inside an igloo.
"Uhhh... who turned up the A/C?", The voice of Annabeth questioned, sounding groggy and annoyed.
The Black Ninja then turned towards the source of said voice and saw Annabeth was lay on a couch and rubbing the sleepiness out of her eyes as The Black Ninja noticed that his childhood friend was now wearing a modified version of her Japanese student inspired wrestling gear, said modifications being meant for winter weather, causing the wrestler to give a confused expression under his mask.
"Where are we and why am I wearing this?", Annabeth questioned after looking around and noticing her outfit.
"Ah, you guys are finally awake.", A young sounding voice stated, catching the attention of the two wrestlers.
The two looked towards the source of the voice and were immediately baffled by what they saw.

It was a polar bear cub, wearing a pair of denim overalls and a red plastic pail on his head.
"Did that Polar bear just speak?", Annabeth questioned with the Black Ninja giving a nod in response to the brunette Joshi Wrestler's question.
"Yup, I did.", The polar bear cub replied, feeling proud of himself.
"I think the tournament actually broke us...", Annabeth stated quietly to the Black Ninja, with her childhood friend having a look of analysis on his face.
"Actually, that's why you're here. You guys were heroes in Los Angeles. We really need your help.", The polar Bear cub explained.
Annabeth had a look of skepticism at this, still not fully believing what she was seeing.
The Black Ninja then placed a hand on Annabeth's shoulder, comforting and calming down his childhood friend.
'What's going on? What's the problem, little guy?", Annabeth questioned, approaching and kneeling in front of the cub.
"There's an evil snowman that buried the workshop down the hill from here. My mom and dad are stuck in there with everyone.", The bear cub explained, worried about his parents.
The Black Ninja and Annabeth exchanged glances towards each other before looking back towards the cub.
"We'll do what we can, I don't think we've ever fought snowmen before.", Annabeth explained.
"Alright, let's go!", The Polar bear cub replied before exiting the igloo into a rough blizzard with the two wrestlers following behind.
"We're gonna use these to get down the hill to the workshop.", The bear cub stated as he had a pair of snowboards to the wrestlers.
The two nodded before strapping their feet to the snowboards.
The Black Ninja then picked the Bear cub and placed the cub underneath his arm.
The three then began snowboarding down the hillside.
Down the Hill...

A very large snowman was currently making large waves of snow and generally causing havoc for the workshop.
That was of course, the snowman was met with a snowboard to the face courtesy of the Black Ninja.
The Snowman shook off this attack and turned to see the Black Ninja starring him down with his arms crossed.
"So... You're the one they decided to bring to the North Pole to save Christmas, eh? Well, I won't let you!", The Snowman shouted before The Black Ninja entered a martial arts stance, unphased by the Snowman.
The Black Ninja then looked towards Annabeth and the polar bear cub and nodded at them, signaling that he's got this and for the two to try and free the workshop.
The Snowman tried to attack the two but was stopped by The Black Ninja blocking it with a roundhouse kick.
The Black Ninja, however, that there was an odd "clunk!" sound when his foot made contact with the Snowman.
The Wrestling Ninja then struck the Snowman in the midsection with a spinning back kick, eliciting the same sound from before.
The Black Ninja then jumped back while having a look on his masked face that more or less meant: "What's going here?"
"Surprised? Well, it's bad luck for you because I'm not made of snow. I'm a lawn decoration that was never bought during Christmas and then thrown away like garbage!" The Snowman shouted.
The Black Ninja then had a look of annoyance that more or less meant: "You've got to be kidding me.", before catching a stray punch from the Snowman and applying a small amount of force, squishing and damaging the Snowman's hand due to it being made from cheap plastic.
The Snowman was then pulled into a series of knee strikes toward the face and body, damaging the plastic even more.
The Black Ninja the easily picked up the fake snowman and slammed him down with The Back Breaker Bomb.
The Snowman was a mangled pile of plastic on the ground that barely resembled a snowman.
"You think you've won? Christmas will be ruined. I guarantee it!", The Snowman shouted before being buried under a massive amount of snow.
"I think we've heard enough out of you...", The voice of Annabeth stated as she now stood next to The Black Ninja while holding a snow shovel.
"I got everyone out and they're okay.", Annabeth stated as the two turned around to see a pair of Adult Polar Bears holding the cub and the familiar red suited man of legend himself, Santa Claus.

The Black Ninja then gave a respectful martial arts bow to the group.
"You two certainly knew what you were doing.", Santa stated towards the two wrestlers.
"We've dealt with our fair share of craziness in The Independent Union, although saving Christmas was probably the craziest thing we've done in a while. And we just got done gone doing a massive three-month tournament and title match in Los Angeles. Speaking of which, we need to get back.", Annabeth replied.
"Right, I understand. Feel free to visit us sometime.", Santa stated, which the Black Ninja gave a thumbs up in response before disappearing in a small flurry of snow.
The two then woke up in their hotel. The two then saw that there was a present addressed to both of them.
When it was opened, it was revealed that the present was a framed picture of Annabeth and The Black Ninja along with their friends in The Independent Union, Making the two happy.
There was cheer all around.
