I've been sitting on this for a while and I wanted to see what you all think of the background info of the fanfic first.

Info: It all started years ago for The people of Axalon and evidently for Brad Boimler when the galaxy changed for the worse and the better.
When Boimler was 14 years old, he and his family went on their first star cruise through a solar system located in the largest nebula in existence, this nebula is located in the center between Federation Space and The Neutral Zone as well. Families from the Federation and the Neutral Zone, i.e. Romulan families came to this cruise to enjoy and to prove that both governments can have unity.
Everything was amazing...
Until, an M-Class planet, with a pre-industrial planet where Prime Directive would take law in, using their magic brings the Axalon crashing down onto their planet.
The ship crashed...
The army of one of the nations captured as many of the passengers as they could. Civilians, medics, security officers, senators, and command. However, during the round-up, one Star Fleet Admiral fought them despite the Prime Directive, some of the other passengers be they civilians, Star Fleet, or Romulans fought back. Brad was one of them.
This admiral began a mission to defeat the Melroymarc Kingdom and return everyone. Many of the officers and the civilians helped including Brad.
Years later...
When Star Fleet finally arrived to rescue them when Brad was 17, it was discovered that they knew of their predicament and didn't do anything, this incited anger among the survivors. Including the party that went out to save their people. During the leaving, the admiral and his troops or his rangers took control of the ships and declared war upon Star Fleet, The Romulan Star Empire, and anyone who didn't save them. Many of the Romulans and the Star Fleet officers on board the Axalon decided to join: The Decepticon Party.
The Admiral became: Megatron - Leader of The Decepticon Party.
Bard was one of those people.
During those 3 years fighting alongside Megatron and listening to his speeches, he became an undying loyalist and proud soldier. He became: Thunderstrike. One of Megatron's top five Decepticon soldiers.
During the short period of their attacking and conquering worlds, they've become a powerful party. Megatron wanted the greatest weapon and power in the universe - But many obstacles in his path needed to be destroyed. And so he sought out powerful gems that could work in his favor.
The Infinity Stones.
When he hunted and pursued these stones, they made his conquering of the Vulcans, the Ferngi, and other peaceful planets under his rule easily, and fighting against the Romulans, the Klingons, the Orions, Cardasians, Tzenkethi, The Clinkets, and the Undines easy. But his greatest foe was the Borg. When he found the last Infinity Stone, the remaining specifies governments fought back including The Federation and The Borg as well.
In an epic battle...
Megatron snapped his fingers and won.
Instead of the outcome everyone anticipated. The planet Romulus and The Borg were the only species in the universe to be erased from existence. Any Romulans who were in Federation Space, or with the Decepticons, or who were fighting them were safe somehow. The planet was destroyed while the civilians were teleported to Earth or a different Federation planet.
Megatron had disappeared after the snap was never seen again.
Some of the Decepticons disappeared after the battle.
While others faced justice.
Decepticons like Boimler and others who were minors at the time were given probation and were given some time to carry out some of their sentencing. Boimler and very few young Decepticons were given the option of parole and were given the chance to join Star Fleet as well. Boimler took the chance to join Star Fleet to redo his crimes and his mistakes as well.
Until he proves himself, Boimler will have to serve most of his time onboard the California ship, Cerritos.
Though his time onboard the Cerritos was tough, luckily, no one knew that he was a Decepticon, he was just given hard work because he wanted to earn it and prove himself as well. During that time he's met and became friends with Sam Rutherford and Beckett Mariner as well. Brad was glad that he was surrounded by a good influence and Mariner as well at times. He thinks back to the moments that made him happy, like remembering his time with his ex-girlfriend who was once his best friend Ko'Lani when they were young. At times he wishes that he could see her again, but that time hasn't come just yet.
