Since nobody could reach the Blight's, and the twins couldn't be left completely alone, even if they insisted they did it all the time. Camila and Inko got permission from the police to take them home with them until things got figured out, and they each ended up boarding a plane. Camila would take the ten year old Blight's back to the Midoriya estate, while Inko flew down to Florida to give the kids a once over before bringing all of them home too. On the plane, Inko called the Park's and tried to call the Triplett's to update them, but while the Messrs Park were overjoyed to hear their daughter was seemingly ok, the Triplett's never answered. It was agreed that the Park's would head to the Midoriya estate to wait on Willow's return, but what bothered Inko even more than the fact that both the Triplett's and Blight's just seemed to vanish… was that Toshinori hadn't responded either since before the situation started.
Inko knew this wasn't like Toshi, and it terrified her, but Inko had a job to do. There were five kids in desperate need of help, and she might not be a hero, but she was a mom and that was more than enough. When she arrived at the airport, one of Star's representatives, a sidekick named Flagbearer, was already present and ready to help her in any way she needed. With his help, Inko managed to get access to the kids, and they were remanded to her custody. Technically it was Flagbearer's custody, but the man wasn't dumb. Star had warned him who Inko was, and he had no interest in arguing with All Might's wife.
Izuku was awake when Inko arrived, and overjoyed to see his mom, a fact Flag hadn't been told about and made everything make so much more sense to him. Amity and Willow were still unconscious, but stable, so Inko was allowed to take them home without much argument. There was no talk about what happened until they were all safely on a private jet home, and a few thousand miles off the ground. Over the next three hours, Luz, Izuku, and Boscha explained what they remembered. Izuku refused to believe Ku was as nice as they said, and was adamant he'd never called him a monster. After all the bullying he'd gone through, Izuku would never do that. Not to mention Ku was incredibly strong. Calling him names and making him mad wouldn't do anything, but make him scarier.
When Inko told the kids about her side, Boscha just scoffed, "I'm not surprised. My parents are deadbeats anyway. Just giving me money so I can feed myself isn't parenting. Probably haven't even realized I left to visit Amity."
This turned Inko's stomach, and she decided to have someone look into Boscha's home situation. The Blight's disappearance was odd though, according to Boscha, but she only shrugged afterwards. They'd have to wait for Amity to wake up for more details on that situation. The other major event to happen before they landed, was Boscha asking Izuku if he would like to be her new boyfriend, and Izuku was over the moon. He was excited, and promised to be the best boyfriend in the world.
The others found it cute, but Izuku had one request. He wanted them to not have any secrets, so Izuku and Boscha moved to the other end of the plane, and started to talk. Izuku went first since it was his request, but Izuku nearly brought the plane down when he heard how Boscha had been treated. Izuku pulled his new taller girlfriend into a tight hug as he made a promise, even as small arcs of lightning danced in his eyes, "Bosh, I will never let anyone treat you like that again. I might not be a real prince, but you deserve to be treated like a princess, or however else you want. I'm not strong or brave, but I'll work to be. You deserve to be loved." Boscha hadn't expected him to say any of that, and she wasn't a mushy type of girl, but coming from him… it oddly didn't bother her.
Arriving at the Midoriya estate was interesting for Boscha. It was smaller than the Blight's, but hundreds of times warmer than anywhere Boscha had ever been before, except Willow's house. In fact Izuku's house seemed like a fusion of the two. All the size and presence of Amity's, but with all the love and warmth of Willow's. Between Inko, Camila, and Flag they managed to get Amity and Willow moved to a room to rest while strapped up to some diagnostic equipment they had laying around like a heart monitor and pressure cuff. Luz refused to leave the room though, and refused to say why. The only ones they'd told about dating were Boscha and Emira, and Emira only found out because she was sneakier than her twin.
Inko and the other kids filled in Camila about what had happened, and Boscha accidentally let slip that both of the adults' kids seemed to be bulletproof, something they had glossed over in their retelling. This made Camila pale, and Inko immediately checked over Izuku again for injuries, but there was no sign of anything.
For the next few hours, Izuku and Boscha slept on the couch, Boscha ending up being the big spoon in their impromptu cuddle, until they heard a crash and yelling. Running to discover the problem, they found Luz quietly trying to soothe two large female behemoths that were cowering in different corners of the room. One was forest green and seemed to be using vines to try to hide and protect herself, while the other was a pink/lilac color and seemed to be almost melting and surrounded by similarly colored goo. Both were hyperventilating, and freaking out, but Luz was slowly getting them to calm down. Unfortunately, Izuku seemed to finally put the pieces together, and noticed that his two unconscious friends weren't unconscious anymore. Izuku started to freak out too, and ran away.
Inko wanted to chase him, but she needed to help the other kids, so Boscha went after him instead with a promise to keep an eye on him. Coming forward slowly, Inko gave the terrified girls a small smile as she helped Luz slowly calm them down, and eventually managed to calm them enough to receive reassuring hugs. Much to their surprise this proved enough to get the girls to change back.
Boscha chased Izuku all the way to the back door before she caught up enough to see a large black figure jumping into the woods. Boscha continued the chase for nearly twenty minutes, before she found Ku sitting peacefully in a small clearing seemingly just enjoying the quiet. Boscha carefully made her way over to him, and finally saw him fully. Ku was a mountain of muscle, and not nearly as lithe or compact as Luz had been, but he still had Izuku's freckles and curly green hair. Sure he was tall, taller than her or Luz's big form at least, but Boscha wasn't afraid even when he grabbed her and sat her in his lap like a tiny plush toy. Boscha expected his touch to be rough and hot, but he was gentle and only slightly warm. Instead of talking they just sat in that clearing and enjoyed the quiet. At some point, Boscha fell asleep, and didn't wake up until she felt Ku carry her back to the house as the sun started to set.
When they got close, Ku suddenly started running until they found a crying Inko being comforted by Camila and the rest of the kids, Flag off in a corner looking pale and concerned. Seeing how worried Ku looked, Boscha asked, "What did we miss? Clearly Amity and Willow are ok, so why do you all look like someone died?"
That made Inko cry even harder, and Luz scowled, "Somebody attacked Mr. Yagi."
Boscha scoffed, "Ok, and your point? He's All Might. He'll be fine."
Flag shook his head, "Little lady, he apparently just got out of surgery a half hour ago after nearly forty-eight hours of life saving surgery. Whoever he fought really did a number on him. He's stable, but I still can't believe nobody thought it was important to CALL HIS WIFE before now." Flag sighed, "After the last few days… it might be better if all of you disappeared. Maybe witness protection, or the Hero Commission can help?"
Luz hugged Amity and Willow, "NO! They'll separate us. I won't do it!" Amity and Willow hugged her back just as desperately, but nobody knew what to do.
The Park's arrived late into the night after all the kids fell asleep. Ku having shrank back into Izuku soon after still holding Boscha protectively. After checking to make sure Willow was really unharmed, all the adults moved outside to discuss what to do. The Park's were understandably afraid after hearing what Willow had to go through, and the fact she could now turn into a hulking green behemoth didn't help. It took until nearly dawn, but they reached an agreement. They would all visit I-Island, the mobile mecca for scientific advancement. They would meet Recovery Girl there, and between her and the best scientific minds in the world they would get some answers. The Island was one of the best guarded places in the world, so if nothing else, being there would buy them time to make more permanent plans for what to do next.
Even with David Shield, the Director of Scientific Advancement for the Island, vouching for them it would take a few days to get the needed paperwork finished for travel, and in that time Recovery Girl gave Toshinori the all clear. He'd never be the man he was again, but he would survive.
That trip started the longest seven years of the kids' lives. What started as a few tests turned into a long term study. The Blight's were discovered to have connections with the Order of the New Dawn, and all of their business arrangements were ceased. After a lengthy court case all of their assets ended up liquidated and deposited into accounts in each of the kids' names, except Dahlia who seemed to have disappeared also. The Triplett's were charged with neglect, but instead of jail time Boscha was adopted by Camila and a large settlement was agreed on to help with her care. Thanks to David, the Park's and Camila got new jobs on the Island to stay close to the kids. Camila became David's secretary and a consultant on matters involving the health and care of animals brought to the Island for testing, and the Park's helped with construction and maintenance, an important job in a place where things occasionally blew up.
Through the testing, they were able to get a better idea of what each kid could do, and how Ku's gift affected them. Amity and Willow's quirks seemed to have multiplied in power a dozen fold, and they could freely change back and forth between forms after a few months of practice. With their help, Luz learned how to do so too, but it required her to train a lot to strengthen her quirk even more. Izuku started getting therapy and training, but his relationship with Ku didn't improve. Nobody knew why, but both were adamant that the other said things when nobody was around to hurt each other, something both also adamantly said was more lies. For the most part, the kids learned how to get control over their forms, and they even decided on a team name, The Titans. A few other names were suggested like Behemoths, Cataclysms, or Abominations, but the kids stuck with Titans. They weren't gods, but they were definitely powerful forces of nature, and they all wanted to use those powers to become heroes.
Boscha wanted to receive Ku's gift too, but the adults refused. Even after years of study, they couldn't say with complete certainty that it was safe. A few tests on mice proved that very quickly, and all further attempts were discontinued. Boscha still trained with them, and Izuku did everything in his power to make sure she knew he loved her, but she still occasionally got in trouble 'bending the rules' out of spite.
She understood that Izuku didn't want to risk losing her, but it still frustrated her, and they ended up breaking up when they were twelve, even if they remained friends and clearly cared for each other immensely. With David's daughter, Melissa, they managed to find a material that stretched enough so that they stopped destroying their clothes, and things became as normal as they could be. Luz, Amity, and Willow managed to not only stay together, but keep it a secret from Izuku, even if almost everyone else figured it out, and supported them.
Toshinori recovered, and continued to act as All Might, but they took precautions to make sure he would be ok. After five years they convinced him to try passing on One for All to a first year at Yuuei that Inko and Nigheye, All Might's old sidekick, approved of, but it didn't work. They couldn't figure out why, but the best theory was that Izuku had already gotten it at birth, and since it wasn't passed the usual way, it wasn't burning out as quickly. In the end, it didn't matter. Toshinori refused to retire until he either saw All for One's corpse in person or a new Symbol of Peace was ready to accept the responsibility. It frustrated Inko to no end, but she couldn't fight him on it. His self sacrificing heroic heart was the reason Inko loved him, and it wouldn't be right to stop him from being the hero he was born to be.
With that in mind, Boscha and the Titan's were preparing to fly to Musutafu for Yuuei's entrance exam, and they were all pumped. Boscha was now sixteen and sculpted from all the training. She stood at about 5'6" and often wore her long red hair in a french braid down her back. According to Izuku she looked like a jock goddess, but most people agreed he was biased.
Speaking of Izuku, he had also grown up into a tall strong young man, even if his ex-girlfriend still liked to pick on him for being a 'cougar chaser'. Standing at just over six feet and just as sculpted as the other Titan's, Izuku had more than one pair of eyes on him, but nobody bothered trying. Even if they weren't together, everyone knew he only had eyes for Boscha. Ku was now pushing seven feet, and was a real monster in training.
Luz was the next tallest at just under six feet, but she had another odd change over the years. Her once brown hair was now a royal purple with occasional small streaks of brown that seemed to fade more with time, and she wore it in a low messy ponytail. In her Titan form she was about 6'6" and proud of it.
Amity was the next tallest, and thanks to a kind lab assistant her bob cut hair now grew out already lilac. Emira's girlfriend Viney, helped the siblings get in contact with the assistant, and the twins now had chocolate brown hair. Emira had met Viney thanks to Camila, since she was hired to apprentice under her, and they were happy together. They officially changed their names to remove their old surname, and as a tribute they were now Midoriya's, something that made Inko positively weep. Her Titan form was hard to get a read on, since she could freely turn into goo and become as tall or short as she needed, but it was agreed her base was still slightly shorter than Luz because she always turned into goo to get a kiss.
Willow was only slightly taller than Boscha in her non-Titan form, but she was definitely the next most bulky after Izuku/Ku. Her dark green almost black hair was usually tied into twin tails that her girlfriends loved to braid for her. She got a few jokes about her being the 'littlest Titan', but that ended when the jokester found their car crushed to the size of a loaf of bread with a note that simply read, "Still think I'm little?" She ended up having to replace it, but nobody else made jokes about the girl who crushed cars like soda cans. Amity had given her a copy of the video recording their following anniversary, and she still showed it off with pride.
As a graduation gift all five of them had received a gold hoodie with a space for their future hero names on the chest, and their logo on its back, a horned skull cloaked in lightning. The only difference between them was the color of the lightning which matched their Titan forms color, with Boscha's being red since it was her favorite. They all decided to wear their hoodies over their training clothes for the exam, and walked onto Yuuei's campus with their heads held high… until Izuku tripped and almost fell over onto a small girl with big hands, a wide mouth, and long sea-green hair. More surprising, the girl seemed to let out a surprised croak and run off before Izuku could apologize.
Luz reached down to help him up, and they made their way to the room they were directed to when they were accepted to take the test. Once everyone was sitting at a desk a tall man in a tan cloak with a high collar like a trench coat walked into the room using a pair of prosthetic legs. When he reached the front of the class, they saw his black helmet and saw his jaw guard flinch as he began to speak, "Morning Yuuei hopefuls. My name is Ectoplasm, and some of you might start seeing me often… if you are worthy. As for today, I'm here to act as the proctor for the written parts of your entrance exams, but before that… I need to update you all about the changes that have been made this year."
A few students started to whisper, but Ectoplasm cut them off when he started spewing a white substance that quickly changed into four copies of the man before dispersing around the room as he continued, "Principle Nezu has gotten word that we may have a uniquely talented batch of hopefuls this year, so in his sadistic glee… he's revamped both this test and the practical. You can consider any preparations you've made based on previous years to be next to useless. If anyone would like to give up now. This is your last chance." Ectoplasm waited a few moments before he sighed, "In that case, you may begin once I give the signal, but here are the rules. You will each have one hour to complete the exam. If you finish early, raise your hand and I will collect it. Anyone caught cheating will be immediately removed. With that said, good luck. You may all lift the lids on your desks now and begin."
Izuku was impressed by the exam. Even with all of his years of private tutoring and time spent around incredibly intelligent people this test was still surprisingly fun. Not hard mind you, but still enjoyable. It only took about a half hour to complete, and by the time one of the Ectoplasm's managed to collect his test they spotted Luz smiling a few rows back along with Amity. Willow finished a few minutes later followed by Boscha looking annoyed, but it wasn't until the time was almost up that a few other students finally raised their hands as well.
After that, all of the applicants intending to join the hero course were directed to one of two different rooms to get information on their practical while Ectoplasm started grading the tests. This time instead of a smaller classroom, the five found themselves in a large lecture hall, and Izuku spotted a familiar girl with vaguely frog-like features. Running over, Izuku towered over her, making her pale, until he suddenly bowed and started to apologize profusely, "I'm so sorry for earlier. I wasn't watching where I was going, and you almost got hurt because of it."
The girl tilted her head with a blank expression, "*Kero* I forgive you. I shouldn't have run off, but… you're really big, and the last time I met a very big man, he tried to stomp me. My name is Tsuyu Asui. It's nice to meet you. *kero*"
Izuku straightened and scratched the back of his head with a smile, "Izuku Midoriya, and it's nice to meet you too."
That's when Boscha came up from behind Izuku and started dragging him away by his ear, "Come on you green dolt! They're going to start soon, and you need to focus. Stop chatting up toads, and take your seat." As he's pulled away, Izuku manages to wave to Tsuyu and Tsuyu waved back a little confused.
A few minutes later a thin man with a large yellow helmet that looked like an excavator bucket with a jaw guard that made the bucket look like some kind of robotic dinosaur came into the room. He snapped his large gauntlet clad fingers and the room got darker as a projection lit up behind him that looked like him at five times the size. Spreading his arms wide he spoke, "Names Higari Majima, but some of you might know me as Power Loader. Normally I look after the support course and oversee the construction of all the robots for this test, but this year my slave driving boss decided to give me a challenge. Normally I have a few graduating seniors help out and make the three bots with point values for this test while I handle the heavy lifting of creating the Zero's, but… this year I also got to create some special four point robots."
The room got slightly colder, as Power Loader smirked, "In order to make this fair, and because we didn't have time to print up pamphlets to explain the changes, I was asked to explain the test. Each of you will be separated into different test sites to rack up points by incapacitating or destroying robots. Attack another applicant, you fail. Intentionally endanger the lives of other applicants, you fail. Now onto the fun part… let's see your opponents."
Power loader clapped and a large army green robot hologram replaced Power Loaders. It had a single wheel for propulsion, and a pair of arms that functioned as gatling guns. Power Loader introduced them as one pointers or Victory models, and assured them that they only carried rubber bullets.
Clapping again the hologram changed to a new similarly colored robot. It had four spider-like legs, two scorpion-like tail lazors, and three electric 'eyes' instead of the first ones' one. Power Loader called this one the two pointer or Imperial model, and like before he warned them that while the lazors where calibrated to hurt, they wouldn't be lethal.
For a third time, Power Loader clapped, and the hologram changed. Unlike the other two, this one seemed either actual size or slightly sized down. The three pointer had a face like a train guard rudder, two large gorilla-like arms, and two large missile silos for shoulders. Power Loader happily introduced them as his Venator's.
Before clapping again, Power Loader smirked, "This would usually be when I'd show off the Zero pointer, my Executor model… my Steel Cataclysms, but not this year. You'll know them when you see them." Power Loader threw his arms wide and before bowing and clapping his chest making the final robot appear, "Let me introduce my newest model of machine mastery… the Headhunter." Behind him appeared a red humanoid robot. At first it didn't look like much with its glowing red eyes, but the longer everyone looked the more they noticed how different this one was. No point indication painted on, and this one looked incredibly well defined. Power Loader laughed, "These babies are special. Thanks to the help of a number of pro heroes I can give you an idea of what these can do. Eraserhead helped with calibrating stealth, Ingenium speed, and Death Arms power."
The class paled, and a boy with slate gray rocky skin stood up, "Don't you think that's a little much! Those things sound like they were made for assassins, not testing entry into a high school!"
Power Loader tilted his head before he burst into laughter, "Don't worry kid. These things weren't made to challenge the majority of you." That made all the participants blink and look at him confused, so Power Loader continued, "Not gonna lie, ya, these things are way too much for the common hero. Heck, I'd say anyone below the fifties might lose, but we've considered that. Unlike the other bots that are programmed to go after anything with a pulse, the hunters only hunt 'challengers'. In layman's terms, as long as you stay below a pre-programed threshold of capability, they won't even acknowledge you exist. Also there's only six hunters per test site. Most of you won't even run into them… especially since they hunt in pairs. These babies can be considered bonus points for those who believe themselves destined for the top ten, but they play rough, so don't engage unless you're sure. Now, each of you got a card with your test site letter on it with your invitation to apply, you have ten minutes to change and get on your bus. Get going and good luck. I can't wait to see what kind of heroes you're going to become."
It turned out that only Willow and Amity ended up in the same test site, so before they left to board their bus they each pulled Luz into a hug, and rested their heads on their taller girlfriend's shoulders using the position to sneak a good luck kiss to her. By comparison Boscha walked up to Izuku like she was about to pick a fight before wiggling a finger to make him lean down so they were eye to eye.
Boscha flicked his nose playfully, "You'd better not fail, or I swear… I won't talk to you for a whole week." Izuku knew she was joking, but he still felt fear well up in his stomach at the possibility it wasn't. Pitiful. Izuku's mind was pulled away from the familiar voice in his head by a pair of soft lips that tasted like cinnamon and cajun pepper. He'd missed them. He didn't want to lose them again, but then they were gone, and Izuku was left with nothing but the sight of Boscha walking away with a slight sway to her hips. She knew it was the only motivation he ever needed, and he felt his heart ache… Why? Why did she insist on teasing him when she's the one who broke up with him? It's because you're pathetic. She wants a real man. Let me out, and I'll let you watch as I make her ours again…
Izuku turned toward his own bus, a few arcs of emerald lightning coming off him as he scowled. After a second the arcs settled back down, and he hissed at the voice in his mind, "Never! You'll rot in my head until you surrender and stay silent. I will find a way to purge you forever. I don't care what the doctors say. You're evil, and I won't let you hurt anyone, especially my Boscha!" Hahaha, it's only a matter of time, you pitiful waste of space. I will be in control, and when I do… *lip smack* I will do so many things with so many. I'll kill the morons who looked down on us, but first… I'm going to make her scream my name until she forgets you ever existed." The dark voice laughed, but Izuku ignored it, and pulled his hood up. It was just the same meaningless threats that he'd dealt with since his quirk had manifested. He would stay strong.
Luz was smiling as she walked onto her bus, and down the center aisle. She knew she could do it. She was smart. She was strong. She wouldn't let her lovers down. She- Luz suddenly squealed as she felt a hand pinch her butt, but she couldn't tell who did it until a blond boy roared and swore as he lifted a small boy up by his collar, "YOU FUCKING PERVERT. APOLOGIZE! NOW!"
Luz threw up her hands, "No it's ok! I'm sure the little guy didn't mean any harm. Somebody must have brought their kindergartener with them this morning! We should help him find his guardian though. If he gets onto the test site he might get hurt!" Luz extended her hand to what she assumed was a five or six year old child, and she smiled, "Come on little guy. Let's go find one of the teachers. Do you know what your guardian's name is, or maybe your name?"
The boy with what looked like purple balls on his head like an afro, stares at Luz with a look of shock before his face flushed, "Listen here, hot stuff. I'm not a child! Names Minoru Mineta, and I'm here to take the exam. I might be small, but that just means I'm travel size, so what do you say… feeling like finding out if you like the taste of grapes?"
Luz blinked in surprise before turning around, "Ok, blonde. Kill the pervert if you want. I'm just gonna…" Luz lifted her hood and hugged her knees in an unclaimed seat in the back, "Act like none of this ever happened, and try to disappear." A pink skinned girl with yellow horns and black sclera patted Luz's shoulder supportively, but said nothing.
Mineta scoffed, and sat back down as he quietly grumbled, "Whatever C cup… I'll just find myself a D or DD. Then you'll come crawling back."
When all the buses had arrived at their test sites the applicants unloaded, and started to stretch. During that time each of the five finally shed their hoodies to show off the skin tight sleeveless tank tops they were wearing underneath in their titan colors. Tying their hoodies around their waists they started stretching as well, and a few applicants stopped to stare, some even coming to a realization about themselves. Suddenly a new loud voice came over the speakers, and the doors opened to begin the test. Before anyone could even register what was happening the five rushed headlong into their sites.
It only took a few seconds for Luz to find her first pack of robots, a three with a trio of ones around it for support, and Luz got to work. Snapping her fingers, Luz made a spark that she made grow into a fist sized purple fireball, a trick she learned from Boscha, and managed to hit one of the one pointers in the eye turning it to slag. Next she collected light around her and used it to fire a blacklight beam from each hand, managing to catch the remaining single point robots in the chest and blast through. Lastly she drew her middle and pointer finger through the air, and condensed the static charge in the air before releasing it in a bolt of purple lightning into the three pointer, making it smoke and collapse under its own weight.
Elsewhere Amity was dancing around smashing robots with a pair of razor sharp goo blades until she found herself opposite a pair of three pointers with missiles primed, and a trio of two point robots on the rooftops above, ready to rain lazors down on her. Suddenly large vines wrapped the two pointers and crushed them into scrap metal, and Amity saw a chuckling Willow with her fist up, "Come on Ami. I removed the distractions. Now go show those toasters why nobody can challenge a Titan."
Amity blew Willow a kiss, "Thanks Will." Amity rushed forward, the three pointers firing their salvos, but Amity acrobatically dodged them all, and finished with a slide aided by goo beneath her feet and slashed horizontally through both at the same time. As Amity banished her blades and wiped away a bead of sweat the two girlfriends waved to each other before separating to look for more robots, but Amity smiled as she ran thinking, "I can't wait to cuddle when this is all over. Oh, maybe we can hit up that diner on Hanma street for lunch!" Amity was nearing giggling as she slid under another two pointer, and punched into its underside before ripping out wires and rolling away before it collapsed.
Boscha wasn't having much trouble as she blasted away missiles with fireballs, melted rubber bullets with waves of flame, and used fiery punches to pierce armor and fry the bots from the inside. That was when she found a shorter brown haired girl cowering behind a piece of rubble as four one pointers used alternating waves of fire to pin her down. Finding this display completely unacceptable, Boscha snuck up behind two of the bots and rested her burning hands on their CPU's, making them overheat and shut down. Just as the other two one pointers were turning to take aim at Boscha, mushrooms suddenly burst over their optical sensors, and Boscha casually hit each in the chest with a fireball to end them as well.
Boscha expected to see the other girl come out of hiding once it was safe, but instead she heard sniffling. Walking around to check on the brunette, Boscha found her still trembling and on the edge of crying. She was about to leave the girl when she heard her whisper, "What was I thinking? I'm not a fighter. I'm not brave. Why did I think heroics would be a good idea? I'm just a Panaeolus foenisecii. Nobody needs me, and I'm useless."
Suddenly the smaller girl felt two warm arms wrap around her, and she sqeaked in surprise before looking up into three storm gray eyes. Before she could ask, the pink skinned girl sighed, "Stop. Just stop. I don't know you, and you don't know me, but I'll be damned if I let you keep spewing that crap. You've made it this far, so don't let anything stop you. I know for a fact I have no chance of getting the top spot in this test, but I don't need to. I just need to pass. So get your stem straight, and plant your roots, little mushroom, because you have a test to pass."
For a moment the girl just looked at Boscha, with her split eyes peeking out from behind her bangs, before she returned the hug, "Thanks… I needed that. My name's Kinoko Komori." The girl looked away, "I don't know if I can do this. My spores are strong, but if they overwhelm me again… I'll never pass."
Boscha scoffed, "Then just follow me, and pick off some while I do my thing. I might not be the strongest or the smartest, but Boscha ain't no bitch! I'll prove to him that I can handle myself and earn my reward. I'll get so strong he'll have no other choice but to give me what I want, and we'll finally be able to be equals… partners."
Kinoko looked at Boscha in wonder before nodding, "Lead the way Boscha, and I'll help you. This fungi is ready." Boscha snickered and led Kinoko away, in all honesty she wasn't sure about the girl, but if she could slow them down… maybe it was time to try hunting the Hunter's.
Up in the surveillance room, Principle Nezu and the other teachers were watching and evaluating each student's performance. They had been shocked when All Might, the symbol of peace, deflated before their eyes, but that wasn't the only surprise. Supporting him was a green haired woman with a kind smile, but an inner strength to her eyes that seemed to even put the number one hero to shame. Finding out she was his elusive wife was nearly too much for everyone in the room. While most of the teachers and judges shuffled through the students keeping an eye out for talent, All Might only watched one with the white furred bear, mouse, dog, principle on his shoulder, so he could watch with both Yagi's. Inko had a tablet with all four girls on it, while Toshi only had Izuku on his. Despite the proud smile on his face, everyone could feel the anxiety radiating off of the man with every thundercrack or sound of twisting metal.
Finally, Aizawa was forced to ask the question on everyone's minds, mostly by his best friend Mic. With a grumble the homeless looking man with greasy black hair walked over, just in time to see the green haired boy rip a three pointer in half with his bare hands. Aizawa scoffed, "See a bit of yourself in that one? Don't you think you should pay attention to the other participants as well?"
Toshinori didn't seem to hear Aizawa at all, but Nezu just laughed, "Leave him be, Shota. I don't think any of us can begrudge him for watching young Izuku so closely. It is a parents duty to watch over their kit's after all."
It took a moment, but everyone turned to Nezu as Aizawa asked, "So the kid is All Might's successor? I guess that makes sense, but that doesn't mean he should focus solely on him."
Toshinori stood, and Nezu put Izuku up on the main screen as the tall man took a breath, "He's not just my successor, Aizawa. He's my greatest treasure, and one of the most important people I will ever have in my life." Toshinori looked down at Inko and smiled, "That boy… is our son… my blood and my pride." Behind Toshinori they saw the boy rip off a three pointer's arm and use it as a club to smash a couple two pointers into scrap before using his body to protect an applicant from a wayward missile. "Please, take care of him, and keep our connection a secret for as long as possible. We want him to rise on his own merits."
Toshinori bowed deeply and Aizawa rested his hand on the tall man's shoulder, "You're a good father All Might. Don't worry, we'll help you shape that boy into the next symbol. Now, everyone return to your duties. We have a bunch of future heroes to help go beyond." All around the room a cheer of 'Plus Ultra' could be heard as they returned to their tablets.
In one of the test sites a blond haired boy with explosive sweat named Katsuki Bakugo was standing on top of a pile of twisted metal and roared out in frustration. This test was fun and all, but he wanted a challenge, and that's when he saw them. A pair of Headhunters analyzing him and deciding if he was a target. This made Katsuki angry. He was the future number one. He was the best. These stupid tin cans shouldn't need to 'think' about attacking him. They should know that he was the only challenge amongst these useless extras. Katsuki scoffed. If they weren't going to attack, he'd just scrap them and move on. Charging at the one on the right, Katsuki tried to hit it with an explosive right, but unlike every other robot he'd found that day, it dodged… and did so effortlessly.
The next minute of Katsuki's life was the worst beating he'd ever received. The Headhunter's didn't hit the hardest, but the synchronicity in which they moved and attacked left Katsuki no better than a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. Through the pain of six cracked and broken ribs, a separated shoulder, and a black eye, Katsuki finally managed to land a killing blow on one of the Headhunters torsos and tear it in two. Unfortunately, the other Hunter immediately broke that arm in retaliation. Without its partner, the remaining Hunter was much more easily taken care of, or it would be if either of Katsuki's arms were fully usable. It cost him a fractured leg and another black eye, but Katsuki managed to palm the remaining Hunter's head… and blow it away.
Katsuki slumped onto his back against a wall. He felt equally parts pride at 'proving his superiority', but also frustration at how much they had managed to damage him… and then he heard it. A pair of heavy metallic steps coming from opposite ends of the street. The other four Hunter's had arrived, and this time even Katsuki had to admit he was screwed. It had taken everything he had to beat the first two, and now he was spent. Suddenly the tall brown skinned girl from the bus appeared while laughing, and shot Katsuki a reassuring warm smile, "Don't worry. I've got these tin cans."
Before his eyes, the girl started to grow until a toned six and a half foot tall purple skinned girl with long dark purple/on the edge of ebony hair took her place. Her laugh was a little deeper, and Katsuki's heart started to race, but what happened next was what really caught his attention. She dominated the Hunters. Unlike him, she didn't stagger at their hits, and only continued to laugh as she crushed one Hunters head in her fist like an egg while making a joke about it being a headless Headhunter. When the Hunter's tried to dog pile her, like the previous two had him, she just flexed and released a small burst of purple lightning from all around her, and momentarily stunned them all before blasing two into scrap with a pair of energy blasts that looked like they were the same kind of light as those secret message posters used. Katsuki was shocked when the last Hunter tried to run, but the girl charged it and put a flaming fist through its center before flaring the purple flames and turning it to slag.
The girl dusted off her hands and walked back over to Katsuki, before giving him a once over. She looked concerned, but he just looked away to hide his annoyance… and blush. Suddenly he roared in pain, as the girl used a warm strong hand to put his separated shoulder back in place, before giggling, "Not much time left, blondy. You'd better hurry or you'll miss out on the fun." Katsuki looked at her with a snarl, but the next moment she was gone, having jumped out of sight leaving only a small crater behind.
Elsewhere Boscha and Kinoko were sneaking around their test site finishing off any robots they found, but instead they found a suspicious amount of undamaged and deactivated robots around. As they approached an intersection they heard a surprised gasp and saw a Headhunter with something in its grip. All the girls can see were some admittedly cute clothes floating just off the ground, and it occurs to Boscha that whoever it was must be invisible. Kinoko starts to panic as she pointed out the choked gasps coming from the invisible girl, and they realized the bot must have her by the throat.
With a nod, both girls separated, and after a three count Boscha charged the Hunter with a flaming fist and managed to deal a glancing blow as the Hunter dodged, but more importantly… it released its grip. Boscha proceeded to ignore the Hunter as it seemed to process its now less then functional right leg, and scooped up the invisible girl as the three eyed girl escaped as fast as she could. It hurt her pride to run, but Izuku had always said that saving people was more important than stopping the villain, and her emerald love had never steered her wrong before. Behind her, Boscha could feel a small mushroom forest pop up to block the crippled robot's vision, and once she felt like they were far enough away, Boscha turned down an alley to wait. It didn't take long for Kinoko to catch up, but that's when the ground started to shake.
A minute before, in the observation room the teachers were cheering as they saw a tall purple girl finish the last Hunter in her area, as a duo of pink and green girls in similar forms worked together to do the same, and Izuku crushed his last one just as he had every other robot he came across. There had been a few other applicants that managed to beat one Hunter individually or as a team, but nobody did so with as the ease these teens showed, or managed to defeat as many as they did. While the other watcher's cheered, Nezu looked pensive, and Midnight, a raven haired woman in a flesh tone bodysuit and with a whip at her hip, noticed his unusually quiet state. Strutting over she tilted her head, "What's on your mind Principal Nezu? You usually cheer the loudest at wanton destruction."
Nezu chuckled, "You're not wrong Ms. Kayama, but he still isn't showing us his full power. Mr. Midoriya is still holding back, and it appears extreme measures must be taken if I wish to see what the boy is truly capable of." Setting aside the box he usually used to trigger the final part of the test, Nezu walked over to an elderly woman with a cane that looked like a syringe. "Ms. Shuzenji… I need my other activator."
The whole room went deathly silent, and the woman sighed, "You do realize some of the applicants might die if you do this, don't you?" Nezu just continued to wait with paw out, and she grumbled, "Fine! This is going to be such a mess. Nezu, I hate you sometimes." All the same, the woman reached into her pocket and pulled out something the size of a pen, and handed it over.
Nezu nodded, and gave everyone a smile, "Let the grand finale… begin!" Nezu hit the button like he was clicking the pen, and the whole campus started to shake.
The test sites exploded into pandemonium as not one massive skyscraper size Zero pointer was released, but two into each site. While most applicants ran away, the Titans did not. Izuku, Luz, Amity, Willow, and Boscha each used their quirks to slow down the Zero's while helping applicants escape. Once everyone was clear Luz rushed her duo of bots, and launched waves of flame into their faces while she charged up as much light as she could physically handle. Once that was done, she adjusted so they were lined up apparently and screamed, "SOLAR BEAM!" A lance of deep purple light rocketed into the chests of the two Zero's and pieced through.
Meanwhile Amity and Willow separated, and ran to the opposite sides of their own Zero's as they seemed to throw every drop of power they had into creating a massive spike each. Amity's a hardened spike of lilac goo, and Willow's a reinforced massive root thicker than most trees. Each spike shot into a Zero's chest and ended in the other's head leaving both skewered by both attacks in an X formation.
As Luz, Amity, and Willow all collapsed onto their backs and deflated into their normal forms, exhausted beyond reason, Izuku heard the sound of concrete breaking and a scream of pain. Izuku rushed to the sound of whimpers and crying as he found the frog-like girl from before completely pinned. Before he could ask, the girl saw him and begged, "Please! Help me! I-I can't feel my legs!" Looking around, Izuku knew he didn't have time to unbury the girl. The Zero's were bearing down on them, and he'd never get her free in time, but he tried anyway. Just as he was about to free her, she screamed, "Look out!" And he whipped around meeting its mighty fist with a powerful lightning infused punch of his own that made the Zero stagger, but the other managed to smack him away and send him flying into a building across the street.
Izuku's head was swimming as he recovered, and he heard a voice he hadn't heard since he'd been kidnapped. It was strong, angry, and determined as it yelled, "No. Must… Protect." Izuku fought the change. It hurt, but he couldn't this time, and in a burst of emerald lightning a seven foot black colossus of rage and muscle exploded from the building Izuku had been sent into. Ku had arrived.
With its large fists raised, it brought them down in a mighty double hammer fist into one of the Zero's heads, and roared "THOR." With a sound like a thunder crack the Zero's head buckled and gave way like puddy. As Ku landed, and the first Zero collapsed, the second tried to swat him away again, but this time it was the one sent skidding away into a building as Ku punched it's arm away. The frog girl watched in awe as the behemoth planted its feet and green lightning started collecting between its hands as it held them before it. As the lightning started to arc and scorch the ground before it, Ku released it all in a massive fork of lightning with a roar of, "Zeus." The bolt tore through the massive robot, and into the sky above making every window in the test site shatter at the sonic boom it created.
As the girl watched the mass of twisted metal and slag settle, she saw the being responsible turn and start to reach for her, and she couldn't help begging, "Please… don't hurt me."
Ku froze for a moment, before reaching down and removing the last pieces of rubble. The girl was heavily bruised, and bleeding, but he could tell by the way she tried to pull away, she still couldn't feel or use her legs. As gently as he could, Ku scooped her up, and held her protectively to his chest as he cooed, "No fear. Ku protect… cute froggy. Ku no hurt." As a few other applicants came to investigate, Ku growled and roared, "No! Stay back! No hurt froggy!" Ku adjusted his charge so she was over his shoulder as he clapped his hands and created a thundercrack to push everyone back, before he held her protectively again, and bound away. As they sailed through the air the girl whimpered, "Please. I need help. Ku, please."
It took a few minutes for All Might in his muscle form, to find the right rooftop, but he quickly arrived with Inko and Recovery Girl held in his arms, and they were surprised by what they found. Ku was sitting with Ms. Asui in his arms, and she was smiling. They heard her scold the giant, "Ku, that wasn't very nice. You didn't need to push the others away. You could have really hurt someone *kero*."
Ku sighed, "Ku sorry. Tsu, hurt. Ku… Ku want protect."
Ku looked away with a look of shame, but Tsu touched his face, "Don't pout. You did a good job. You just need to remember that not everyone is here to hurt you."
Ku growled as he noticed the adults approaching, but once he recognized them he seemed to relax, "Mama. Please help. Cute Tsu still hurt. Ku no know how help."
Tsu blushed, and both women shared a look before Inko held out her hand to point to the ground in front of him, "Put her down baby, and we'll do what we can."
Ku nodded and tenderly set Tsu down on the roof. After a moment both doctors gave her a once over and were surprised when they found evidence of a recent spinal break and a number of freshly healed fractures, but both seemed to be healing quickly on their own. Just to make sure, Recovery Girl gave the girl a kiss, and she fell asleep, but the older medic felt a moment of pain in her lips, like she had been shocked.
In the meantime, All Might moved to hug Ku, and reassure him, "You did amazing, my boy. I'm proud of you. Not just for how well you did fighting those Zeros, but for protecting young Ms. Asui as well."
Ku never looked away from Tsu. After the others were done, he scooped the sleeping girl back up and held her, "Ku, no care. Ku do right. Ku protect cute Tsu. All that matter." After another few minutes, Ku started to yawn and shrink as his body changed back to Izuku's. Seeing this seemed to make the others relax, and once they managed to wake him back up, they all moved back to the main campus.
Meanwhile Luz, Amity, Willow, and Boscha were waiting for Izuku to get back, and Boscha was introducing her new friends, Komori and Toru, the invisible girl. They were chatting and laughing together when Willow suddenly squeaked, and they all saw a smirking Mineta as he looked at the collection of cute girls. With a wink he stated, "Don't worry ladies, there's more than enough Mineta to go around. I'm more than enough to satisfy all of you."
Luz growled, "It's that pervert I told you about!"
Together Luz and Amity turned into their Titan forms and roared, "HOW DARE YOU TOUCH OUR GIRLFRIEND!" And together they reared back and punched the small boy in the face hard enough to send him flying, making the other girls look on in surprise at their transformation, even as the pervert became a sparkle in the distance.
Boscha scoffed, "Should have squished him, but at least we will never have to see that grape stain again…
