(Part 2)

Absinthe soon enough introduced herself and Usbegaugh to 'Reggie' the black cat.

"Hello... I am Absinthe, and my good friend here is Usbegaugh. Welcome to our Home."

Reginald ('Reggie'): "Ever so pleased to meet your acquaintances. My, you're very lovely!"

At that comment, Absinthe blushed a bit, which Usbegaugh notices. He 'woofs' a laugh...

After regaining her composure, she adds: "My friend and I are into Mysteries. Solving them!"

Reggie: "Well, you don't say? May we have a word in private. I may need your help a bit. Aye!"

Absinthe: "Certainly, Reggie. But my Friend the Great Dane must be included. We work together."

"No problem, 'Abbie' Girl. Let's go out in the yard and discuss the details... Far as I know them."

Absinthe had never had a nickname. How unusual she thought. But she finds Reggie fascinating!

Meanwhile, by late afternoon. The Master's wife returns in her car to the domicile proper. Aye.

She soon meets her husband's sister and son Beaufort. Right away she gets a funny feeling

about the Boy, who looks about 8 or 9 years old. An odd gleam in his eyes. Maybe nothing.

The evening dinner is simple but sumptuous. Followed by tea... and biscuits from Scotland.

The buttery flavor of those Scottish cookies in a tin, a gift from The Master's sister? Yes.

"I'm very fond of these biscuits. Thank-You! for bringing them!" (The Master's wife said)

"So glad you like them. I'm very fond of them too, since I moved to Scotland a while ago."

said Edith, The Master's younger sister..." The Master's wife (name of Pamela): "Yes, I see."

Out in the Big Back Yard proper... "So, that in essence Abbie, are some of my suspicions. Of late."

This from Reggie, the Bombay panther cat, to Miss Absinthe (She looks Siamese but has longer fur)

She responds after listening a while: "Well, I see. We three must be on our best guards. Yes, we shall!"
