(Part 3)
The following day and night were uneventful. Absinthe and Usbegaugh played 'Hide-n-Seek' with Reggie.
So far nothing untoward occurred inside or outside the domicile. Absinthe earlier briefed Reginald the Cat
on the past cases that She and Usbegaugh had been involved in, most recently the 'Twin Fairies Case' and
the 'Case of the Cats from Space'. Reggie found this last one a bit hard to wrap his paws around... Oh yes!
"Cats... From Space you say? Sounds a bit too fantastic, but then again maybe so. It's a big world, it surely is.
As my Mistress' late husband who'd been an amateur astronomer once used to say: "It's a Bloody Big Universe!"

By day, The Master and his wife Pamela showed Edith and Beaufort around their small village. Old and quaint a bit.
Mostly rural. No noise from big cities. Just what The Master needs to write his amazing Mystery novels and stories.
They went shopping at the local grocers for fresh veggies and fish. Even the occasional smoked salmon, imported.
Pamela was an English Literature professor. How she and The Master had met, at a writing conference a while back.
She also was an amazing chef and cook. It was a toss-up at what made The Master fall for Her: Female beauty, Her
love of Literature, or Her skills in the kitchen. Well, at any rate, she was an exceptional woman, as Edith could see.

Later on, the Boy Beaufort soon catches a butterfly with his net. He collected them and the rare dragonfly. Even
had the jar to 'dispense' with them... Put them out of their misery so to speak. He would mount them back home.
He was proud of his collection. A few examples were valuable. He soon learned that money mattered. After his dad
had passed on, and 'Mum' had to go back to work to make ends meet. But his mother did have a 'new man'. Yes.
That man, name of Bill Weatherspoon was the owner of a second hand furniture and collectibles shop in Aberdeen.
He met Beaufort's mother when she came in to sell an antique chair, to bring in some quick cash then. It wasn't
long until Bill was coming over for dinners. And going out to the movies. It was him that got Beaufort into the
hobby of collecting butterflies and insects, as some rare finds were quite valuable on the collector's market.
