(Part 4)
Several nights later... Around 1 AM:
Edith is sleeping in her guest room on the second floor. Beaufort is still up. He has his own cell phone.
He gets a text... Soon after something is hovering outside Edith's bedroom window. It bumps the pane!
She is startled and sees a shadowy 'something' outside the window frame. Like a Phantom. Then a 'Woooo!'
sound it makes. She hides under the blanket. But a minute later... The Phantom has gone. Was it ever there?

"Did you hear anything unusual last night, Brother?" asks Edith of The Master at breakfast the next morning.
The Master: "No... Just the wind on occasion blowing itself around. Why? Something occur while you rested?"
Edith felt a bit embarrassed: "I'm not really sure... Maybe it was just the odd bodkins of a weird dream. Yes."
Absinthe and Usbegaugh and Reggie take notice. Reggie motioned with a paw to go and confer outside? Aye.

"See. Abbie? I mean Miss Absinthe... Like I was telling you and Usbegaugh earlier. Strange doings. I have
the distinct impression that The Boy is involved in it. And maybe the bloke my Mistress is involved with?"
Absinthe: "Reggie... Tell us about this 'Bloke'. What makes you suspect him... This man you speak of?"
Reggie soon lays it all out: "Well, the bloke is named Bill. He at first seemed pleasant enough. It was
him that taught the Boy about collecting butterflies... To make money. This Bill is involved with the
Boy's mother. She's been lonely since her husband passed on last year. He was some kind of engineer
and was able to get My Mistress a lovely big home and yard, much like yours. But he was a smoker. Died.
Think I overheard that Bill propose marriage to my Mistress once. He said she needed protection. But me
thinks he is really after the Home of the Boy's mother: to get at it through a marriage to my Mistress. Aye!"
"Oh my... I think I get your, as the Americans say: 'Your drift' here. I most certainly do, Cousin Reggie!"
As Reggie belonged to The Master's sister Edith, it seemed appropriate to start calling him 'cousin'. Yes.

The very next night... Half-past Midnight:
"Who's there? What do you want?" Edith, who did have a vivid imagination during the wee hours now spoke
in a hushed voice. Maybe she was hearing and seeing things not actually there? In case of that she would keep
calm and speak in low tones. Bill a week before her trip had said she was in need of 'protection'. But from what?
She loved her late husband, and never believed he would come back as a ghost or spirit... To haunt her. No, never!
But that was what her new 'Beau' Bill Weatherspoon had suggested, when some unusual things ever occurred. Aye.
"Maybe Bill is right: I should marry him and not live alone... A woman alone. And Beaufort needs a man around?"
Whatever had made a sound seemed to have gone as quick as it had appeared. Edith soon went back to sleep. Yes.

But far out in the Big Back Yard... a young hobbyist flew his flying radio-controlled drone. It was he that had used
the drone with a hanging cloth to scare Edith with a 'Phantom' at her window. The drone hit another window next.
The window of The Master of the House. But Absinthe had also seen the drone from a different window. She ran
to The Master's bedroom (The Master Bedroom if you will) and meowed loudly and padded The Master on the face
with her paws, claws retracted. He soon woke up and then became aware that something unusual was happening.
The Master quickly ran outside with a powerful flashlight. The drone operator, hired by Bill Weatherspoon then fled
before he had a chance to collect his flying drone 'Phantom'. It thusly hit a big tree branch, damaging 2 rotor blades.
"Who goes there?" The Master shouts, as the drone operator runs out to his car, then speeds off to never ever return.
Suddenly, The Master sees a piece of paper dropped in haste. And then he picks up the drone with a long white scarf.
The next morning, he will have an interesting talk with sister Edith over breakfast. Calm and friendly? Certainly he shall.
