AN: I do not own Harry Potter.

The Meeting Of Those Attached To Potter, Continued

"Can you find for me then the number of squibs that are born in pureblood marriages versus the number of squibs where at least one of the parents are muggleborn or halfblood? Can you find me why werewolves are labeled a dark creature and are not allowed basic human rights that is not propoganda? Have you seen the data of how much money a werewolf has to put out each month to be able to say said werewolf will not infect another? Can you find for me the trial documents for every person that has been put in Azkaban? Can you tell me why after Grindelwald was defeated, and prior, our government has gone against the laws it was founded on and disregarded battlefield spells as something that should not ever be used? Can you tell me why it is now considered dark to use the rituals to help balance the magic when without them the houses we live in suck up all of the ambient magic in the area, causing them to start hunting humans for the spark of magic they hold, except for beings capable of giving off ambient magic or doing those rituals themselves? Do you know why muggleborn come to exist anyway? Do you care about if the children of each household feel safe and able to call where their family lives "home"? That is "home" not "where my family lives". These are all things that I have had to concern myself with."

"What does that have to do with anything?"

Out of all the questions for a person to ask, it really seemed out of place. However, it did not seem out of character to Harry for Ron to ask that question. That question did serve to have every person in the room to either stare at him, or to make a face as if he was foolish and maybe shouldn't be there. However, a good, old, Hermione lecture was about to make its presence known.

"What do these things have to do with anything? Are you really as stupid as that? These are all questions that Harry wants answers for if he were to choose a side, and yet these concerns seem to be split between Light, Dark, and the Ministry, and he won't give up on any of these. I can add more: Why are house elves treated like they are? Is there a way we can have house elves without it being so much like slavery? Why are goblins treated as beneath humans when we've fought them over and over? Shouldn't we respect the goblin nation in that they have managed to place themselves in charge of our finances? Would replacing that stupid statue in the the entrance of the Ministry of Magic be possible? Why are group trials possible? Why is the history of wizard fighting wizard being suppressed when even the muggles have tales about it from when they interfered with the Muggle world before the Statute of Secrecy?"

Hermione huffed at the end of that, glaring at the git beside her.

Sirius rubbed his forehead before fixing mostly sane eyes on the red-headed friend of his godson in the room. He reached for one of the sugar cubes on his saucer for throwing it at the boy, before barking, "There seems to be a misconception that you are working under. The world is not Slytherin is evil; Gryffindor is good. If that was the case, then my best friends James, Moony, and Peter wouldn't have been bullies with me in school. Peter wouldn't have been a traitor. Dumbledore's decisions would all have been good if that was the case."

Tonks leaned forward, before saying, "So besides the fact that the Headmaster suddenly seems to want you dead like You-Know-Who, the reason that you, Harry, have stuck with us is because we seem to be with what you think is right the most, but even we have messed up?"

"Yes," Harry and Hermione nodded at her.

"So, back to Sirius' original subject, it seems, we're all here because of Harry somehow? Whether it is because of one thing or another?"

"It seems it."

"Regardless of what it looks like, Potter, the world doesn't revolve around you."

Before Snape's grumbling sparked yet another discussion in raised voices (argument), Bill Weasley stood up.

"If I can get everyone's attention, due to Lucius Malfoy's informing us of the Horcrux of You-Know-Who in Mrs. Lestrange's vault, it is killed has been killed by goblin curse breakers, and we have also grabbed the one in Hogwarts."

The kids protested, "I thought we were getting that one?"

Bill laughed indulgently at his sibling(s), before saying, "Nope, and I'm glad we didn't. That one was nasty. However, we have found the remaining pieces of You-Know-Who were travelling towards Little Hangleton, with one in Little Hangleton, so we think that it is the evil guy himself, plus help, are going to be in one place soon."

Prince asked, "Are the goblins thinking on taking on You-Know-Who himself?"

Bill shook his head, "While a discorporate spirit or possessions are something we will deal with, the goblins will not interfere into prophesies or wizarding politics that will affect the nation. 'We do not interfere in the affairs of wizards unless we can come out on top' is the unofficial goblin motto. Also, the times that goblins interfered with prophesies whether intentionally or accidentally ended up backfiring and not working, unless the prophesied person was at the helm or cast the the spell that ended the person's life, etc. We might assist, but we will not end him ourselves."

"Prophecy?"

"What prophecy?"

"What? I thought you guys knew," said Bill exasperatedly before descending into muttering, which started off muttering around the table.

After what seemed like a solid minute of muttering, Cedric asked, "Bill, what is the prophecy?"

Bill shook his head, but answered anyway, "I don't know the human one, but the goblin one is 'There be a child with eyes of green, born before the first bell's toll of August. One shall hear of him and push him early. One shall hear of him and seek his end. Both oppose him. Hold fast to the one with the eyes of green, for his reign shall be with Death'. The odd thing about the goblin language is that they have a prefix which means 'god', and that prefix is on the word 'death'."

"So instead of being understood as Harry will make a lot of dead people in his reign, it means that the god Death will reign at his side?"

Hermione muttered, writing down in her notebook, "Death is a god? What other gods are there in the wizarding world that are real? Are there religious observances we should be conducting to worship them? How does one worship them?"

"There's really only one story that's really shared among the Light folk about Death the god, and I've already told you it," Cedric told Harry, "But I wouldn't be surprised if there were more shared among the Dark folk."

"Huh, I thought that was creative license."

"This could be creative license, too."

"Like Harry's reign will have a lot of dead anyway?"

"Why does it tell us to hold fast to Harry?"

"I think we're already doing it?"

"What about the ones that don't?"

Remus Lupin whistled. "If I could get everyone's attention, please?"

Once everyone's elbowing their neighbour had ended, Harry stood up.

"Guys, I can guess the direction of everybody's thoughts are going, but I will assume that the goblin prophecy is more reliable if the nation acts on it, because the vast majority of prophesies our divination professor gives are fakes. That said, I don't completely understand it, though I do get that I will be opposing both Headmaster Dumbledore and You-Know-Who, (At this point, Harry paused and looked at both sides of the table.) which we seem to be doing anyway. I hope you'll stay my friends or become them, because this seems to be happening anyway."

Then Harry sat down.

All at once, Snape stood up from his corner. "I'm being called," he told his end of the table, but because of the noise after Harry's speech, it took some time before Harry was informed.

"Tell us what happened after," called Harry.

"I will," muttered the man. Then Professor Snape left.

"Headmaster, there was a meeting with representatives all of the new lord's allies today. Apparently, they are working off of a prophecy that says that he will be your doom. Also, I was called to meet the Dark Lord, and he wants my help."

"Thank you for letting me know, Severus. What have you decided about Voldemort?"

"I will help him for now, because I do not want to wind up dead."
