"Roar!" An Onix roared out as a dark brown Farfetch'd slapped it away with his large leek. The ground violently shook as Onix's unconscious body crashed against it.

"Onix!" A hiker exclaimed, hastily recalling the rock snake before making his retreat.

"Far, Farfetch'd!" Farfetch'd called out, hopeful that somebody would come along and offer him a proper challenge.

"The Wild Area's a big place, where on earth is that Bea girl waiting for you?" Marnie asked while Lucario scoped out the area, he sensed the Rocket trio, the Team Yell duo and the Gardevoir were close as usual but apart from that he didn't sense anything unusual around them.

"Close to the Dappled Grove." Ash commented while looking at his Rotom Phone.

"So we've still got some distance to go before we get there," Zach stretched.

"I hope you got the Pokémon you needed before we left cause there's no Pokémon Center between here and there, not unless we backtrack and head for Motostoke." Marnie spoke.

"Don't worry, I've already taken care of that." Ash smirked.

"There'll probably be time to catch something then, if any of you are looking to expand your teams."

"I could use a Grass type but I'm good for now," Zach shook his head. He always had his eyes on a certain one in particular, but he was sure that opportunity had passed by.

"I'm good as well," Dawn's arm was latched around Zach's while her head rested against his shoulder. It was still quite some time before the Wallace Cup so she decided to stay with Zach now that they were officially a couple.

"I'll let you know if I see anything I'm interested in." Chloe shrugged.

Ash was about to comment when a pair of trainers rushed by. "Man that Farfetch'd was strong!"

"Who knew a wild Pokémon could be that strong?!"

"Excuse me!" Ash called out, getting the two to briefly pause as they looked back towards the group. "Where exactly is this Farfetch'd?" He figured it had to be close by based on how recent the injuries looked.

"Back by the old bridge." One of the trainers thumbed towards the riverbank. "Just follow that and you'll get there, he's ambushing trainers that pass by."

"Got it, thank you." Ash bowed in appreciation before taking off. "Alright Pikachu, we're going to catch a Farfetch'd!"

"Hold up, does he know the Farfetch'd around here are Fighting types?" Marnie asked.

"He does not," Zach sweated. There wasn't exactly a way for Ash to learn that yet as they never came across a Farfetch'd.

"Ash, hold up!" Marnie shouted while running after him.

"Seviper!" Seviper hissed out.

"What's up?" Jessie turned towards her snake Pokémon before noticing another snake had wondered into camp. This one was primarily the same color as sand but had a brown texture pattern that ran along her body.

"Sanda..." She hissed out, fluttering her eyes at Seviper.

"Seviper." Seviper gulped and hastily shook his head as sweat began to pour down from his forehead.

"Awww, I think she likes you!" Jessie gushed.

"Seviper." Seviper sweated.

"Maybe I'll catch her so you two can do a Contest duet together!"

"Seviper!" Seviper hastily shook his head.

Jessie stared at the sand snake before walking up to it. "Hello, anyone home?"

"Sanda..." Sandaconda drooled while eyeing Seviper.

"Seviper!" Seviper hastily shook his head. He was a bachelor his whole life and had no intentions of taking a mate!

"Heh, Seviper you sly dog she's completely lovestruck by your beauty!" Jessie cackled while giving Sandaconda's head a gentle tap with the ball, the sand snake disappeared in a beam of red light as the ball began shaking within her hand before chiming out to signal the capture.

"Alright, I got a Sandaconda!" Jessie excitedly exclaimed.

James and Meowth were searching close by before stopping to take a bite as their stomachs rumbled out.

"What do we got today?" Meowth asked while James reached into his bag.

"Ham and cheese sandwiches."

"Great, I miss tuna." Meowth groaned.

"Well we did just order a mech." James muttered out.

"Naw..." The rock James and Meowth sat down on began to move causing the pair to jump from alarm.

"Ah!" The two swiftly turned to see a Drednaw, the snapping turtle licked his lips while eyeing James' sandwich. James looked at the sandwich before holding it out towards Drednaw while smiling at it. "You want this? Here you go."

"Naw!" Drednaw's neck shot outwards causing James to let out a shriek of alarm as the snapping turtle almost snapped his hand off.

"Eeep!"

"Naw." Drednaw happily gobbled it down before looking up at James as if to ask for more.

"I'm sorry but I don't have anymore." James rubbed the back of his neck. "But if you come with us, I can make you more later."

"Naw, Drednaw!" Drednaw nodded, thinking his terms were fair and acceptable.

James held out an empty Pokeball and gave Drednaw's head a tap.

"I swear you get Pokémon as easily as the main twerp." Meowth commented as the ball shook within James' hand before chiming out to signal the capture.

"Oh my gosh, a Zangoose!" Zach quickly readied up a ball as a Zangoose could be seen grazing not far off from the bridge that Farfetch'd was at. "Scorbunny, use Double Kick!"

"Scor!" Scorbunny excitedly raced off towards the Zangoose, who was too busy scarfing down berries to notice her approaching. Scorbunny leaped up and prepared to deliver a kick only for a large leek to suddenly bash her away.

"Scor!"

"Goose!" Zangoose looked back before racing off with an alarmed expression.

"Not again!" Zach groaned out as Zangoose disappeared over the horizon.

"Fetch'd, Farfetch'd!" Farfetch'd repeatedly slammed Scorbunny with his leek before giving her a final slap, sending her flying back to her trainer.

"Scor..." Scorbunny groaned out as she landed in his arm, swirls filled her eyes as she groaned out.

"That Farfetch'd beat her in seconds!" Chloe gasped out.

"Scorbunny's level twenty-three so it has to be pretty high leveled to do that." Marnie commented.

"All the more reason to catch it!" Ash clenched his fist. "Cramorant, I choose you!"

"Cramo!" The bird burst out and stared at Farfetch'd with his empty and derp expression.

"Drill Peck!" Ash shouted out.

"Cramo!" Cramorant began rapidly spinning midair while soaring towards Farfetch'd, drilling his beak into his chest.

"Fetch'd!" Farfetch'd grunted out before countering with Brutal Swing, knocking Cramorant out of the sky.

"Cramo!"

"Hang on Cramorant, we can do this! Use-"

"Cram!" A gulp sound could be heard as he swallowed Pikachu headfirst.

"Pika pi!" Pikachu frantically waved his arms and legs from within Cramorant. Cramorant leered at his opponent as Pikachu attempted to break free with an electric shock. Cramorant waved his wing as he directed the shock outwards and towards his opponent while leaving himself unscathed.

"Farfetch'd!" Farfetch'd screamed out as electricity flowed through him, although he was pure Fighting the sheer fact that it was Pikachu's attack was enough to finish him off. "Fetch'd." Farfetch'd landed face first against the ground with a groan.

"Alright Cramorant!" Ash cheered while tossing a ball at the downed Farfetch'd. The ball opened up as it soared towards Farfetch'd, absorbing his body in a beam of bright red light. The ball shook once before chiming out to signal the capture complete.

"Farfetch'd the Wild Duck Pokémon, the Farfetch'd of the Galar region are brave warriors, and they wield thick, tough leeks in battle."

Cramorant's cheers were muffled as Pikachu was still in his mouth. "Cramorant, spit him out."

"Cramorant!" Cramorant spat Pikachu out, sending him flying through the air like a missile.

"Pika piiiiii!" Pikachu cried out as he flew through the air.

"I got you buddy, I got you!" Ash raised up his arms as he tried to catch him.

"I got him!" Marnie extended her arms as Pikachu fell towards her, she missed as Pikachu crashed into Morpeko. The two Electric types fell to the ground and blushed as they stared into each other's eyes.

"Pika..."

"Morpeko..."

"Thank Arceus Buneary's not into him anymore." Dawn commented.

Marnie looked down at them and smirked to herself as an idea began to form within her head.

"Oi, you!" A feminine voice spoke out causing Ash to turn as he had a feeling it was him being called out. "That Farfetch'd was mine, I came all the way over here to catch it!"

"Yeah well I found it first!" Ash countered.

"I heard about it first!" Bea shouted out.

"I caught it first." Ash smirked.

"Yeah well..." Bea paused for a moment before uttering out a sigh. "You win."

"Wait a second, isn't that?" Zach started.

"Bea!" Marnie exclaimed.

"Oh hey Marnie, what's up?" Bea gave Marnie a wave before turning her attention back to Ash. "Alright you, you and I are going to have a battle right here and now! It's my goal to become the world's top Fighting specialist and World Champion on top of that!"

"I'll become the World Championship first!" Ash shouted out.

"Well good luck with that cause I studied under Mustard!"

"So did I!" Ash shouted out.

"Did you now?" Bea raised her eyes while crossing her arms as she looked him over. "Wait a second, you're Ash Ketchup aren't you?"

"Ketchum." Ash sweated. "But yes, that's me."

"Mustard told me about you, said you were a lot like me only you had a large variety of types while I focus on Fighting types." Bea's eyes widened as a realization occurred to her. "Oh, oh. Oh! You're Ash Ketchum, my opponent! Oh this works out, I don't have to wait for you to show up! We're battling right here and now!"

"Sounds good to me!" Ash grinned. "Let's do this!"

"Glad to see we're of the same mind!" Bea grinned, tapping her Rotom Phone to summon a Rotom Drone to the area.

"Bzzzt. Challengers Ash and Bea, you're about five miles off from the agreed upon battle site. Do you wish to battle here?" The Rotom Drone buzzed out upon descending from the sky.

"Yes!" Ash and Bea simultaneously shouted out.

"Bzzt. This will be a four on four Pokémon battle with each side being allowed one switch out, the battle will come to an end as soon as a side forfeits or is otherwise unable to continue. Challengers Ash and Bea, are you ready?"

"Yes!"

"Then on my mark, get set and... GO!"

"Hitmontop, I choose you!"

"Pidgeot, I choose you!"

Zach, Dawn, Chloe and Marnie all gave each other a look.

"They have way too much in common, it's like she's a female version of him from another universe!" Zach exclaimed.

"Montop!"

"Cooooo!" Pidgeot cried out as he burst from the ball.

"Bullet Punch!" Bea ordered out, thrusting out her palm the same way Ash did.

"Montop!" Hitmontop's legs glowed bright silver as he spun across the field at a rapid speed before swiftly kicking his opponent.

"Coo..." Pidgeot groaned while shaking off his injuries.

"Hurricane!" Pidgeot swiftly flapped his wings, summoning up a large gust of wind that swept Hitmontop into the air and battered him about before dropping him as the wind ceased.

Hitmontop grunted out as he quickly sprang back to his feet.

"Rapid Spin!"

"Hitmontop top top!" Hitmontop chanted as he rapidly spun across the field, swiftly kicking Pidgeot multiples times in the face.

"Air Slash!" Ash shouted out.

"Coooo!" Pidgeot's wings glowed bright blue as several energy blades flew out of them, striking his opponent.

"Hit... Hitmontop." Hitmontop grunted out.

"Bullet Punch!"

"Montop!" Hitmontop spun across the field at rapid speed before repeatedly kicking Pidgeot's face.

"Finish him with Hurricane!" Ash shouted out.

"Coooo!" Pidgeot's eyes lit up as he flapped his wings, summoning a powerful gust of wind that knocked Hitmontop into the air.

"H-Hitmontop..." Hitmontop flailed his legs about as he was flung through the sky before uttering out a final grunt as his body slammed against the ground upon the wind ceasing. "Hit... top..."

"Bzzzt. Hitmontop is unable to continue battling. Challenger Bea please send out your next Pokémon!"

"Hitmontop return, you were great out there and deserve a long rest. Alright Hawlucha, I choose you!"

"Hawlucha!" A shiny Hawlucha burst onto the field.

"Poison Jab!" The tip of Hawlucha's wing glowed a toxic purple as he lashed out, jabbing Pidgeot in the gut.

"Coo..." Pidgeot groaned out as he dropped from the sky, collapsing against the ground with a light thud.

"Pidgeot return," Ash recalled Pidgeot to his ball. "Alright Hawlucha, I choose you!"

"Hawlucha!" Ash's Hawlucha cried out as he burst onto the field.

"Sky Attack!" Ash shouted out. A bright blue aura surrounded Hawlucha's body as he began charging up, the luchador bird then uttered out a cry as he soared through the air before crashing into the rivaling Hawlucha.

"Lucha!" Bea's Hawlucha grunted out as he fell onto this back.

"Flying Press!" Bea shouted out.

"Lucha!" Hawlucha flew upwards before preparing to dive down upon Ash's Hawlucha.

"Thunder Punch!" Ash shouted out.

"Haw!" Electricity crackled around Hawlucha's powers as he leaped up, delivering an uppercut to his opponent.

"Hawlucha!" Bea's Hawlucha cried out as electricity surged through him, the bird crashed down upon Ash's Hawlucha with a groan before sliding off as swirls filled his eyes.

"Bzzzt. Bea's Hawlucha is unable to continue battling, Ash's Hawlucha is the winner." The Rotom Drone declared.

"Hawlucha return, you were great out there and deserve a long rest. Alright Grapploct, I choose you!" Ash watched as a large blue and black octopus burst out, it's tentacles were positioned outwards like multiple arms ready to lash out.

"Grapploct the Jujitsu Pokémon, a body made up of nothing but muscle makes the grappling moves this Pokémon performs with its tentacles tremendously powerful."

"Ice Punch!" Bea shouted out.

"Dodge it!" Ash shouted out. However that was easier said than done as every single one of Grapploct's tentacles became coated in ice as the octopus lashed out.

"Lu, lucha lucha!" Hawlucha swiftly avoided the attacks before crying out as one of the attacks met with his chest. Hawlucha shivered before falling limp as his eyes rolled up into his head. "Haw...lucha..."

"Hawlucha is unable to continue battling, Challenger Ash please send out your next Pokémon."

"Hawlucha return, you were great out there and deserve a long rest. Alright Rowlet, I choose you!"

"Rowlet." The small owl chirped out as he burst out before Grapploct. Grapploct looked down at Rowlet before looking to Ash, seeming to question his sanity.

"Use Brave Bird!" Ash shouted out.

"Row!" A bright orange aura surrounded Rowlet's body as he took flight. The owl soared through the air before crashing into his opponent, knocking him onto his back.

"Grapploct!" Grapploct groaned while raising to his feet, realizing he underestimated the little guy.

"Ice Punch!"

"Fly up!" Ash shouted out, hoping that would help avoid Grapploct's fury.

"Leap up!" However Grapploct's muscles were so strong that it allowed him to use his lower tentacles to spring up into the air, coming face to face with Rowlet before rapidly striking his icy fists against his stomach.

"Row!" Rowlet cried out before breaking out into a coughing fit as his Everstone was knocked out of his chest and sent flying far across the Wild Area, disappearing from view as Rowlet suddenly dropped to the floor.

"Bzzzzt. Rowlet-Wait what's happening?!"

"R-Row..." Rowlet's wings pressed against his stomach as he sat up, groaning out as his body started growing and changing shape until he became a Dartrix. The changes didn't stop there though as he began changing size and shape once more. A green cloak formed around his head while the markings upon his head changed as his stretched from the rest of his body. "D-Decidueye!" He held his chest while rocking back and forth before collecting himself with a shake of his head.

"Y-You just evolved... twice!" Ash gasped out.

"Blimey." Marnie commented.

"Has that ever happened before?" Chloe asked.

"I've never heard of it." Zach shrugged. "It must have been due to the sudden removal of the Everstone."

"Decidueye the Arrow Quill Pokémon, tt cunningly conceals arrow quills in its wings. It launches these quills with such precision that they can pierce a pebble at over a hundred yards."

"Alright Decidueye, you still up for this?!" Ash asked.

"Decidueye." Decidueye nodded his head.

"Brave Bird!"

"Decidueye!" Decidueye cried out, taking flight as a bright orange aura formed around him. He soared across the field and stretched out his talons before slamming them into his opponent.

"Loct..." Grapploct groaned out.

"Ice Punch!"

"Grapp." Grapploct's tentacles became covered in ice as he lashed out at Decidueye.

"Shadow Sneak!" Ash shouted out.

"Decidueye!" Decidueye flashed Grapploct a smirk as he vanished into his own shadow causing Grapploct to come to a sliding halt.

"Grapp?!" Grapploct hastily looked around before crying out as Decidueye struck his back. "Grap..."

"Grapploct is unable to continue battling, challenger Bea please send out your next Pokémon."

"Grapploct return, you were great out there and deserve a long rest." Bea swiftly returned Grapploct to his ball. "Alright Machamp, I choose you!"

"Machamp!" The Kanto Fighting type screeched out upon emerging from the ball.

"Bullet Punch!" Bea shouted out.

"Champ!" Machamp cried out as he rapidly raced across the field, his fist pulled back as he prepared to strike.

"Change to Fire Punch!" Bea shouted out.

"Machamp!" Fire enveloped around his fist as he lashed out, striking Decidueye's stomach.

"Decidueye!" Decidueye's eyes bulged outwards as he fell onto his back, swirls formed within his eyes as he went limp upon the battlefield.

"Decidueye return, you were great out there and deserve a long rest. Alright Kubfu, I choose you!" Bea raised a brow before smirking lightly upon seeing Kubfu.

"Dynamic Punch!" Ash shouted out.

A blue glow formed around Kubfu's fist as he lashed out, delivering a swift uppercut to Machamp.

"Champ!" Machamp groaned as he was sent flying upwards.

"Close Combat!" Bea shouted out.

"Machamp!" Machamp raced towards Kubfu and bent over as he lashed out a series of powerful punches, knocking Kubfu onto his back.

"Aerial Ace!" Wind kicked up behind Kubfu as he soared across the field, delivering a kick to Machamp's chest.

"Close Combat!" Bea ordered out.

"Champ!" Machamp pulled back his fists as he began slamming his fists into Kubfu once more.

"Fu..." Kubfu groaned out as Machamp pulled away.

"Aerial Ace!" Ash shouted out.

"Fu!" Kubfu shouted while soaring across the field. "Kubfu!" He cried out while crashing into Machamp, knocking the Fighting type onto his back.

"Champ..." A thud echoed around the clearing as swirls formed within his eyes.

"Bzzzt. Machamp is unable to continue battling, Challenger Ash is the winner! Congratulations Ash, your new ranking is 80,000 bringing you back to Bronze Class." The Rotom Drone buzzed out.

"Way to go, Kubfu!" Ash praised.

"Fu, Kubfu!" Kubfu crossed his arms and smirked lightly while Bea returned Machamp to his ball.

"You were pretty great, but you've still got a long way to go." Bea spoke, her eyes set upon Kubfu as she made her approach. "Kubfu too, but I'm sure the two of you will get there." Bea smiled while extending her hand to Ash. "Don't think this is over though, next time I'll beat you!"

"You can try but we'll still come out on top!"

"Pika pi!"

Bea smirked and turned to take her leave but suddenly grabbed hold of Marnie, pulling her close enough to whisper. "If you don't make a move by the next time I fight him, I will. He's hot." Marnie's eyes widened as she gazed towards Bea, it appeared while Bea had a lot of things in common with Ash there was one thing they didn't share. Marnie gulped before giving a brief nod to show she understood.

"Bzzt. Ash you just received a World Championship challenge from Clemont of Lumiose City, you have one week to show up at the Gym or the match will be forfeit. Clemont's offered to pay for your plane fare."

"Clemont!" Ash excitedly exclaimed. He was shocked Clemont was participating but perhaps it was his or Bonnie's idea to lure him back to Kalos for a bit. "I can't wait to see what he's been up to."

"I'm going to Lumiose City!" Chloe squealed out. "Oh I bet it's lovely."

"I heard it's called the city of love!" Dawn commented while grabbing hold of Zach's arm.

"I heard that too." Zach chuckled while tightly holding her hand.

"Isn't that close to where you left Greninja and Goodra?" Marnie asked.

"It is and I plan to bring them back into the fold if they're willing!" Ash exclaimed while clenching his fists.

"Fu..." A large bear Pokémon lumbered behind Bea as Ash and his friends left the area.

"Don't worry Urshifu, you'll get your chance." Bea reached back and gave him an affectionate pat. She wasn't sure what stage Kubfu was at so she benched him, wanting it to be a fair fight when they clashed at full strength. "We'll be waiting for the right moment and then, we'll coming back for a rematch." Bea clenched her fist as fire burned within her eyes. "That World Championship title will be ours!"
