Chapter 11
Percy's POV
It has been 3 weeks since they had been to Ollivanders. They have been staying at Dursley's since then.
Hagrid somehow persuaded them to let them stay here. Dursleys weren't that happy, though. They tried to shout at Harry for letting them stay here for past few weeks, but they couldnt because Hagrid was throwing them fierce look, which was obviously shouting "Shout at Harry one more time and you will regret it".
The moment that Hagrid left, Dursleys packed up and immediately left, saying that they are gonna stay at Aunt Marge's house until it was September 1st. Which was huge relief for Percy, because Dursleys made him feel uncomfortable.
His nightmare were hurting his head enough. He couldnt bear to see Dudley's face for rest of the summer.
Other thing that was driving him crazy was Mr.Ollivander.
He said some strange things to him when they were buying their wands. He said he will write to him, but he still hasn't. Percy didnt know what to do. He just wanted to go up to Annabeth and tell her everything. But he couldnt. He didnt know why he was hesitating but Mr.Ollivander's word before going back into his shop was "dont tell it to anybody".
"Gosh, i cant wait!" Harry squealed, excited for tomorrow. Tomorrow was September 1st, the day that they will go to Hogwarts. "Chill, Harry" Annabeth laughed. Percy's heart skipped a beat when he saw her laugh.
"But arent you excited?" Harry asked them, his voice full of excitement. "Actually, i am. Im feeling nervous, too" Annabeth replied. "We are going to Wizard's school. And we are not from this world. Which worries me-" Annabeth sighed. "That somebody might find out". She looked around. "I wonder...what they will do if they found out that we are demigods. Report to their Ministry? And what will Ministry do? Help us to go back? Or just...kill us?" Annabeth whispered.
Annabeth looked at Percy. "What happened?" she asked, raising her eyebrow. "You are never this quiet". Percy gulped. His head was full of thoughts, which pained him. It was as if 20 people were shouting to his ears with speaker, all at once. "Im just tired. Im gonna go to bed now" he answered, getting up. Harry's eyes followed him, who was obviously worried and confused. Annabeth looked at him with full of worry, and stared at him for few minutes, struggling to find some words to say to him. Percy waited for her to talk. "Al...Alright. Goodnight" she finally spoke. Percy turned away without any more words.
"Hello, Percy Jackson".
Percy was once agian in his dream. He dreamed of this black space since he came here. Nothing to be seen. Just him, wandering around, aimlessly. Sometimes, his memories would come in flooding. The Minatour, holding his mom by her throat. A hellhound that came running in when he was at camp. The fates, cutting the thread right in front of his face. And lastly... Circe. He would constantly see her turning him into guinea pig, threatening to send
him to kindergarten, spending rest of his life being toyed by children. The moment when Curce casted her magic, sending them into this world. The cold feeling that washed over him, turning him around and around, making him feel nauseous.
"Tomorrow you go to Hogwarts? How funny. Do you really think that you will be able to learn magic?". Percy turned around, trying to see who it was, which was pointless. He never see the face of the person who is whispering in his mind every night. But it was different this time. It was voice of woman's. Voice of Circe.
"Circe" Percy growled. A cold laugh filled his mind. "You recognized my voice, alright" she giggled, laughing like a maniac. Her figure appeared in front of him. She looked at Percy, smiling. But her eyes werent same. Her eyes were filled with hunger, coldness.
She walked around him, humming. Percy felt his pocket, only to not find Riptide. "You are dreaming, hon" Circe whispered from behind him. When Percy turned around, she was gone. Instead, Circe was sitting on bench that appeared out of no where. "My magic is invading your mind. In your dream, i can do anything, just like i do in reality" she said, teasingly. "Why did you send us here?" Percy asked, his voice full of anger. Circe tilted her head, as if she couldnt understand something. "You could have turned us into guinea pig or whatever, but why did you send us here!?" Percy shouted. Circe smiled coldly. "Because i have plan and you might ruin it" she said. "The Great Prophecy...If you are not here, i bet no one else would get the role. And when they do their plan...Oh boy, they have no idea" she laughed to herself. She came in closer, until they only had few centimeter space between them. "I came here today to see how you are doing" she breathed. "Thanks to him, even Hecate herself will have difficulty coming her. So dont wait for rescue" she said, barely talking. She laughed coldly once more before dissappearing, making his dream end.
