Upon joining the visiting group once again, Sam immediately found out that things had indeed gotten crazier, if the gigantic purplish-blue ball with a tiny head sticking out was anything to go by. He lifted his head to stare at it while Noodle explained the situation to her father. Apparently, Violet had stolen a piece of gum from one of the machines and put it in her mouth ignoring Noodle's (quite loud and frantic) warnings and this was the result. Now, the only thing the hosts could do was shake their heads and murmur something about foolish disobedient kids before sending the unfortunate girl away to get blueberry juice squeezed out of her. Any other day before this current first of February, said explanation would have caused Sam's brain to shut down out of its sheer amount of absurdness, but now after everything he had seen, it sounded almost natural. So, without more of a reaction than a slight frown and a shrug of his shoulders, he accepted it, unaware of a certain cunning look Noodle and Willy exchanged. And only when the tour was resumed, and they were led once again through seemingly endless corridors, he fully registered the fact that he had accepted it. And that scared him into a sudden halt. Was this fantastic folly place getting to him? He quickly resumed his steps to keep up with the others and heard the descriptions of some of the rooms they ran past: Hot ice cream for cold days, cows that gave chocolate milk, fizzy lifting drinks capable of lifting one of the ground and making them fly… with each one of them it was harder and harder for him to think logically. The temptation of simply giving in to this whimsical, fairytale-like world was stronger than he'd thought, although a small, secret part of him asked: why the hell was he resisting? After all, this was ten thousand times better than working all day and worrying about the future all night while his stomach growled. He was thinking of an answer to his own question when he noticed they had stopped at the next step on their visit: a room full of busy squirrels working away on a massive pile of nuts.
