AN: This going to be another one of those multiple episodes, in one chapter kind of things. You might be able to tell, because of the chapter name, alone. But, I will be putting together one episode of Transformers Prime, and one episode of X-Men Evolution. Hopefully, this will be a relatively short chapter.

LET'S JUMP INTO IT!

After Christmas came and went; the once fractured bonds, between the Darby family, began to strengthen. Jack had acknowledged and accepted Logan, as his father. He even started calling him dad. This made Logan, very happy. Finally, at long last; he was getting his son back. Having him around; had just as much of an impact on June, as it did for her son. She knew that it meant the world for Jack to have his father, in his life. Seeing Logan, also brought back memories of the good times that they shared, together.

Logan was allowed to come and go, as he pleased. This made it easier for him to see his son; as well as the woman he once loved. When Jack arrived at the base; he heard tails about how, on this day, Bumblebee swiped a victory from Megatron. Apparently, Megatron possessed a relic from Iacon; only for Bumblebee to snatch it from his clutches. The relic was identified as, "The Spark Extractor". A devastating weapon, to be sure. Thankfully, it was now, out of Decepticon hands. All thanks, to the Autobot's brave scout.

Optimus couldn't help but blame himself; for supplying Megatron, with the location of the Iacon relics, in the first place. Even though, it was only because his memories reverted to that of Orion Pax, at the time. Ratchet told his friend, not to blame himself. Megatron clearly took advantage of Optimus's amnesia. The Autobot leader shouldn't be held responsible for what he did, when he was not himself. There was a possibility, that he gave Megatron, no further information.

The rest of the day, was progressing normally. But, it didn't stay that way. Bumblebee had been ambushed, in the field. His ability to transform, had been impaired. He returned to base, so that Ratchet could run a diagnostic on him. The medic was running a scan. "Bumblebee was hit, pretty hard. The stun blast, may have fried his T-Cog." Ratchet informed the worried Humans; while he continued his scans. Miko wondered if a T-Cog was similar to a T-Bone. Arcee was the one to tell her; that a T-Cog is an organ that allows them to scan vehicles, and transform.

Ratchet had completed his examination. "By the AllSpark! Bumblebee's T-Cog isn't damaged. It's missing." This brought a look of shock, to all presents Autobots.

"But, the Decepticons transform too. Why would they steal that?" Asked Jack. He figured that it was the cons, who attacked Bee. But it wouldn't make any sense for them to take his T-Cog.

"Megatron maybe known to raise zombies. But, he's no ghoul." Ratchet responded. The question remained. If it wasn't the cons, who took Bumblebee's part; then who did? One name, came to mind. The ones who dissected Breakdown. The same guys who also kidnapped Jack's mom; and who tried to gut Arcee. MECH. It didn't matter why they took his part. The end result was, Bumblebee feeling useless. They had taken from him, something precious. Something, until just now, he had taken for granted.

Optimus could relate to his friends troubles. He knew what it was like to lose a part of himself. But, as a result of that. He knew the value of putting faith in the strength of the people around them. Bumblebee's friends, would retrieve his part, for him. They would help him. Miko suggested that if they couldn't get the part back; then Ratchet could just, build a new one. This only managed to upset Bumblebee, even more. Ratchet had to explain to Miko; that a T-Cog is part of their biology, not technology. He couldn't simply, build a new one.

Since Bumblebee could no longer transform; he had no choice, but to remain in the base. He was going stir crazy. He kept bugging Ratchet; until Raf and Miko invited him to play a video game, with them. But, it was a racing game. They picked up on his agitation; and decided to watch some TV, instead. Unfortunately, there was a commercial of a brand new sports car, on TV. This further increased Bumblebee's frustration. Everything seemed to remind him of what he lost.

"Taking the auto, out of an Autobot; is so, not a good thing." Miko pointed out. Raf tried to comfort Bumblebee. He said that he was just as cool; even if he couldn't transform. He told him that speed wasn't everything. Just then, Jack and Arcee, came speeding into base; before doing a perfect handbrake stop. Jack then took off his helmet.

"Personal best, Arcee. You hit 120, easy." Said Jack.

"Oh!" Jack and Arcee said, in a state of unified forgetfulness. They realize that what they did, made Bumblebee extremely jealous. Bee wanted to leave the base; but unfortunately, he couldn't. Not in his condition. Later in the day, Bulkhead discover the location of another Iacon relic. He was going to alert Optimus. But Bumblebee insisted that he and him could handle this, on their own. Bulkhead wanted to refuse; given Bee's current situation. However, Bumblebee was very persuasive.

When they arrived at their destination; the Decepticons were already there. It ended with Bumblebee giving chase to Knockout. Unfortunately, because of Bumblebee's handicap; Knockout got away. It almost cost Bumblebee, his life. He was currently, back at base; laying on a medical slab. Ratchet was scolding him, for the crazy stunt he pulled. Because of his rash actions; Optimus confined Bumblebee to the base. He was not to leave; until they could retrieve his missing T-Cog.

Ratchet voiced his concerns to Optimus. MECH were savages. There was no way to guarantee that he could repair the damage to Bumblebee's T-Cog, even if they brought it back. But there was one solution, that had been overlooked, until now. A T-Cog transplant. Although, that would require a donor. To Optimus's surprise, Ratchet volunteered himself. Optimus argued that, that would only trade one Autobot for another. He reminded his friend, that they would get Bumblebee's part back.

Ratchet's Spark, remained in the right place. He reasoned that he didn't rely on his ability to transform. Not like Bumblebee did. There was a part of Ratchet, that always felt guilty, for not being able to save Bumblebee's voice box. This was the one thing, that he could actually do, for his friend. Optimus gave his blessing, albeit, reluctantly. So, the operation had been scheduled. He gathered Bulkhead, and Arcee. He now had a decision to make.

"Obviously, since I am the other patient involved; I will be unable to perform the surgery. Therefore, one of you, must serve as my proxy." Ratchet was pacing, back and forth. His choices were between Bulkhead, and Arcee. He took one look at Bulkhead, before continuing to speak. "Better at breaking things." This made Bulkhead relax. At least he wouldn't have to perform the operation. "Arcee." Ratchet said. He had decided who his proxy would be.

"Optimus has steadier hands." Arcee claimed. She was trying her best, to get out of this.

"Steady, and much too large, to be rooting around, under my hood." Ratchet clarified. Arcee sighed. Jack tried to convince her that she could do this. He reminded her that she had nerves of steel. She argued that was only on a battlefield, not an operating room. Jack maintained his faith in her, nonetheless.

"Dude, why don't you just do the operation? I'm sure your claws are sharp enough, to act as scalpels." Miko spoke to Jack.

"Even if that was true; that doesn't mean I would know what to cut. I'm not a doctor." Jack responded.

"Your mom's a nurse; and you're telling me that you didn't pick up anything from her?" Miko shot back.

"She may not be a doctor. But it takes tons of training; to even come close to what my mom does. I'm nowhere near that ballpark."

They put Ratchet into stasis, in order to operate. Before the operation could even begin; an alarm started blaring. Miko thought that Ratchet's vitals were crashing. Arcee told her, that wasn't what was happening. They got another alert, on yet another, Iacon relic. Optimus ordered that stasis be interrupted, until the situation was attended to. This made Arcee's day. Knowing that she didn't have to play doctor. Bumblebee wanted to help; but he was ordered to stay behind.

After the bots left, Jack's phone started to ring. He checked the caller ID; and saw that it was Rogue. Remembering that they had exchanged numbers, previously; Jack answered the call. "Rogue, what's up?"

"Jack, we need your help. Something's happened."

"Whoa, whoa, slow down! Tell me what's going on!" He responded.

"Jean's gone missing."

"What?"

"Not only that. But, it's like she's gone totally mental, or something. She's been going all over the place, stealing some strange rings. It all started when she left The Institute, one night. Then she came back, and brainwashed Kurt. She took him on one of her robberies. Scott and your dad tried to talk to them. But Jean used her powers to toss them away, before escaping. And now, Evan and Kitty went missing. They're probably with Jean and Kurt. Jack, we could really use your help; if you're not too busy, that is. I know you've got other responsibilities."

"No, it's ok. I'll be right there." He told her.

"Great! Well, I guess I'll see you, when you get here. Bye!"

"Bye!" Jack responded, before he hung up the phone. "Sorry, guys! They need me, down at The Institute." Jack told his friends.

"Do you think I could-" Miko began to say.

"No!" Jack cut her off, before she could finish. He knew what she was thinking. The answer was no. He wasn't taking her with him. Not this time. Jack knew that it would be important for him to stay, for Bumblebee's sake. But, he also knew, that there was nothing more, that he could do for him. Jack could, however, help the X-Men, with their problem. He had Raf fire up the Ground Bridge; before he walked through it, heading to The Institute.

When Jack got to The Institute; he was then brought up to speed. Apparently, a Mutant named Mesmero, was hypnotizing some of the X-Men; and forcing them to commit robberies for him. But thankfully, they knew where the brainwashed X-Men were going. To the circus that Mesmero was a part of. After all of that was learned; Jack suited up, and met the others, in the hanger. The X-Jet was taken by the missing X-Men. So, the others had to take The Velocity. It was a super fast, black helicopter, with a booster engine.

They arrived at the circus; and found the missing X-Men. Professor X told them to keep the others occupied, while he dealt with Mesmero. As The Velocity was landing, Rogue spoke her mind. "I don't like this. They're our friends."

"We just gotta subdue them. No one has to get hurt." Logan stated, as he jumped out of the helicopter. The others exited the aircraft, shortly after him.

"Yeah? Tell that to them!" Cyclops murmured; as the missing X-Men faced them down, ready for a fight. Beast charged towards their out of sorts friends. He and Nightcrawler got into a struggle. Nightcrawler used his powers to port them both, all over the place. Beast tried to reason with Kurt. He made it clear, that they didn't have to fight. But Kurt wouldn't listen. The next person to attack, was Spyke. He shot his quills at Rogue. She did her best to dodge them. But she ran out of room to run. Her back was pressed up against a cargo truck.

The next quills pierced the truck, just above her head. Spyke was preparing to launch more. Jack took notice of this. He knew that Evan's next attack, wouldn't miss. "ROGUE, NO!" He shouted, as he ran to her. His plan was to get her out of the way. Or maybe, his body was strong enough to take the shots, that was meant for her. It would hurt, to be sure. But, if it saved Rogue's life; then that's all he cared about. It didn't matter though. Even while running at his fastest; he wouldn't have made it, in time.

He was going to have to watch; as one of his friends was taken out, by another. Spyke fired the quills. They were heading straight for Rogue. But thankfully, they never made contact. Cyclops was able to blast them apart, just in time. He then fired his optic blast, at Evan's feet; sending him flying back. Jean caught Evan; and set him, safely on the ground. Jean then used her powers to lift Cyclops into the air, while his optic blast was still firing. The blast went everywhere, causing a lot of damage; until Jean released him.

Wolverine pulled out his claws, preparing for trouble. His enhanced sense of smell, told him that someone was approaching, from behind. He turned around, and saw Shadowcat, phasing out from the ground. Logan put his claws away. He wasn't going to fight Kitty. The two of them had become friends. "Ah, twerp! You know I could never hurt ya." Kitty didn't feel the same way; as she kicked Logan, in his right knee. "OW!" Logan screamed, before clutching his now, bruised leg. "This is why I don't like to play nice." He commented. Kitty paid him no mind; and just walked right through him.

Jack was currently facing down Spyke. He shot quills at Jack; only for him to slice them apart, with his claws. Jack retracted his claws. "Come on, Evan! This isn't you. We're friends. Don't you remember? We worked together, to save your aunt." Evan lowered his arms; and got out of his fighting stance. It looked like Jack had managed to get through to him. "There. See? We don't have to fight." Jack reassured him. However, a second later; Evan raised his arms, and shot quills at the unprepared Jack.

"AH!" Jack screamed, in pain. He was still standing. The impact of the spikes; weren't strong enough to knock him over. But it did cause him to stumble back. Spikes were lodged into his chest, lower torso; and even, his arms. Blood was seeping out of the wounds; and on to Jack's suit. "Well, now I know how that feels!" Jack mused, before he started pulling the spikes out. He grunted, in pain. Pulling them out; hurt just as much, as getting shot with them. If not more.

Jean was about to enter a tent, to hand over what she stole; to the one that was controlling her, and her friends. Professor X approached her, and told her to stop. He said that he would deal with Mesmero; but he begged her not to give him what he wanted. Jean wasn't listening. She used her abilities, to levitate Charles, and his wheelchair, into the air. "Oh no, you don't!" Rogue said, as she approached Jean, and siphoned her powers. This caused her to release her hold on The Professor. The sudden drop, caused Charles to fall out of his wheelchair.

Before Jean passed out; she tossed the bag of rings to a man, who was standing outside of the tent. He was a bald man, who wore a cloak; and had face tattoos. This was Mesmero. "Mesmero. You may have been able to control their minds. But can you handle mine?" Professor Xavier said, before beginning his psychic assault on the Mutant. Mesmero was reeling back, in pain. Charles was hitting him, hard. But then, all of the sudden; his pain stopped.

"You have no idea who you're messing with, Xavier." Mesmero sent a mental whisper to Charles; before forcing him away, with telekinesis. Mesmero walked into the tent; and disappeared from sight.. When he was gone; the mental hold he had over the X-Men, simply vanished. They were back to their old selves.

"Whoa! What's going on?" Kitty asked, not remembering anything.

"Yeah, sure! Now you're all better!" Logan sarcastically said, while continuing to rub his still hurt leg. Just then, his son walked over to him; and was now standing beside him. Jack still had one of Evan's spikes, sticking out of his right arm.

"What are you complaining about? At least you weren't turned into a Human pin cushion." Jack then removed the last spike, from his arm. "AH!" He howled, in pain. After the spike was removed; the wound began to quickly heal itself. After all the X-Men recovered; Rogue used the power that she borrowed from Jean, to tear the tent apart. But, Mesmero was nowhere to be found. Hank asked Charles, if Mesmero hurt him.

Charles responded by telling him, that it wasn't Mesmero. He wasn't the one who beat him. It was someone else. The one who was controlling things, from behind the scenes. Someone with the most powerful mind, that The Professor had ever encountered. He had no idea why Mesmero wanted those rings. That's what's scared him, the most.

Autobot Base

Jack returned to base, after he was done helping the X-Men. He told Raf and Miko what happened, while he was over there. To which they, in turn; told him what happened, while he was away. Apparently, Bumblebee discovered the secret base of MECH. He went there, on his own; to retrieve his missing T-Cog. To his surprise, Starscream was working with MECH. He was able to deal with the agents, easy enough. However, with his current limitations; he wasn't able to beat the lone Decepticon.

Starscream managed to get away. But, not before severely damaging Bumblebee's T-Cog. When the other bots arrived on the scene, they took Bumblebee home. Ratchet got to work on trying to repair Bumblebee's T-Cog. When he was done with that; he had surgically reimplanted it, into the young scout. Bumblebee was currently on a medical slab; with Ratchet scanning his vitals. When he was done, he gave his report to the others. "I...did what I could." Ratchet hesitated to say.

"Our scout could not have been in better hands, old friend." Optimus reassured Ratchet. They could have given Bumblebee Ratchet's T-Cog, as previously planned. But unfortunately, Bumblebee wouldn't accept it. It didn't feel right, to him. A part of Jack, thought that he should have been here, for his friends. True, there wasn't much that he could have done for them. But, he could have given them moral support, at the very least. It was hard, splitting time between Team Prime, and the X-Men. But, that's what he does. He goes, where he is needed.

Bumblebee was ready to get back to action. Ratchet advised him to take things slow. Recovery takes time. Bumblebee tried to transform; only to find, that he still couldn't. Ratchet apologized, when he saw that. The damage to his T-Cog, was severe. But, Bumblebee didn't let that stop him from trying again. As Luck would have it; on the second attempt, Bumblebee actually managed to transform. He was back to his former glory. Bumblebee opened his door, to let Raf in.

The pair of them then drove out of the base, at breakneck speed. Ratchet, being the doctor that he was; offered his sound medical advice, to the departing scout. "Go easy! Adhere to standard break in procedure!" He said, with enthusiasm. The old medic couldn't be more happier with these turn of events.

"Whoa! Bee's T-Cog looked like it was ready for the scrap yard." Bulkhead commented.

"Hard to believe the doc repaired it." Arcee added.

"That is not all that Ratchet repaired, today." Optimus stated, with a smile on his face plate. When Ratchet couldn't save Bumblebee's voice, he started to doubt himself. But now, his confidence had been renewed. Today was, without a doubt, a victory, for the old medic.

AN: I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I'm not going to do every episode of either series, in this story. There were episodes of Transformers Prime, where Jack didn't make an appearance. Also, some of the X-Men Evolution episodes, are more favorable to me, than others.

Remember, if you didn't like something about this chapter; then that's all you have to say! Don't go out of your way, to be a jerk, in the reviews! Be honest, but fair!

STAY AWESOME!
