Chapter 2 Solving a problem peacefully

It has been seven years since Sean was found by his father the Emperor on his home planet.

Since then the Galaxy knew.

Some were concerned that the Emperor had an heir to his throne.

Others who supported the Empire were proud to see the emperor have an heir.

Since then he's been trained by both his father and Vader.

Right now Vader was on his flagship looking out into space.

Only to pull out his lightsaber blocking a strike from his apprentice.

"Your getting better." Vader said seeing a ten year old Sean who chuckled as he jumped down showing he had black robes on covering the top half of his face.

"Yeah, well. I have a really good teacher." Sean said making him lightly smile under his helmet.

He reminded him of his time training Ahsoke.

Sean while a Sith apprentice never acted like one having perfect control of the light and darkside of the Force by choice.

While technically the Rule of two was the Sith Way Sean was the exception to that.

Right now they were in space aboard Vader's personal star destroyer.

"Personally I like the old Republic Era Destroyers better." Sean said.

"Oh?" Vader asked.

"I just like older things better." Sean said.

"Understandable my young friend." Tarkin said walking in. "But remember. As time moves forward things change. Clinging to the past never ends well." Tarkin said.

"I never said I cling to the past. I just liked them better. But if your talking about a better star Destroyer...How bout this?" Sean asked showing a new design he made. (Resurgent class Star Destroyer)

Another thing about Sean was he was a weapons designer that made new weapons that were more efficient than the current ones.

"Very impressive." Tarkin said before an alert came in.

"Oh great." Sean said as the alert originated from Pantora.

"Senator Chuchi is requesting aid saying Pirates are attacking her people's supply convoys and the Trade federation refuses to help. Why we still have them after the Clone wars is beyond me." Tarkin said.

"Do you think the Empire wants to deal with supply trade and mess it up?" Sean asked amused.

"Perhaps not." Tarkin said.

"I'll go. I have good history with the Senator anyway." Sean said leaving.

"Take a battalion with you." Tarkin said.

"I'm not taking those stupid Storm Troopers." Sean said making him grin.

Sean walked to the Hanger seeing his men who were actually clones.

While the Empire had phased out clones Sean felt they were better service than the Storm Troopers and even convinced his father to purchase them for his division since he absolutely despised Storm Troopers since he believed they were worthless. (The Empire never destroyed the cloning facilities here)

"Commander Sir!" A clone Commando said.

"Sargent Cole. We're heading to Pantora. Pirates have been attacking Convoys there." Sean said.

"Finally. Been itching for a good fight." Cole said making him snort before they got on some transports and left.

Later

Arriving on Pantora they arrived at an Imperial base.

"Admiral Versio." Sean said getting his attention.

"Master Kruger. A pleasure as always." Versio said.

"Likewise. We're here about the Pirates attacking the supply runs." Sean said.

"Actually they aren't Pirates. I found something very...Annoying is the best term I can say." Versio said showing a recording of the so called Pirates but they turned out to be the same species as the Trade Federation.

"What the hell?" Sean asked.

"I believe the Neimodians are trying to force the people to buy more supplies from them when they end up attacked to double their profits." Versio said.

"Ok that just pisses me off. I know the Trade Federation was greedy but this is just low. How many attacks like this have been reported?" Sean asked.

"Far as we can tell at least seven other events of the same nature. The Trade Federation is trying to increase profits to make up for what they lost in the clone wars." Versio said.

"Ok...Lets make them think their still in the clear. Then when we capture them...We end up exposing them to the galaxy." Sean said.

"Such an act could end up disbanding their trade franchise and could cause problems." Versio said.

"Not if we replace them with people who won't pull that kind of stunt. I know one of the Governors who hates acts like these. We place him in charge of Trade and disband them for good." Sean said.

"Excelent." Versio said seeing it was a good strategy.

Later

"So the Trade Federation is trying to force us to buy more from them to increase profits?" Senator Chuchi asked.

"Yeah I ain't surprised. I already contacted my father he was...Rather annoyed and agreed to disband the Trade Federation for good once this plan succeeds." Sean said.

"And as for us?" Chuchi asked.

"The stuff you already purchased will be sent here with the second one and the money you spent will be given back." Sean said making her smile.

"I see. Thats good to hear. I see at least you keep your word unlike some in the Empire." Chuchi said.

"You don't have to sound nice about it. I know the Empire isn't a perfect example. But at least it's not completely held down by the Senate like the Republic was." Sean said.

"Democracy isn't all flawed." Chuchi said.

"No. There are Senators like you who care. The needs of the clones were proof enough of that. Part of the reason I recommissioned the older war experienced clones in my division and if any of them are unfit for battle...I have other tasks for them till they feel they're ready to stand down and they will be given a good retirement plan." Sean said making her smile softly.

"I see the stories are true. You are different from the Emperor." Chuchi said.

"You grow up with a traumatizing incident like me you want to help make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else." Sean said leaving.

Later

The so called Pirates were captured and presented to the Senate exposing the Trade Federations schemes to make more profit.

Needless to say the Senate was not happy and disbanded the Trade Federation while placing someone in the empire in charge of the trade business who had no interest in making extra money but being fair.

"A job well done my son." Palpatine said pleased with the results that strengthened the empire's reputation.

"I try. But Honestly I'll never understand why they were still around after the clone wars." Sean said.

"Hmm. I suppose I didn't want the empire to deal with the Trade business. But perhaps that was my mistake since it caused more problems than it was worth. Now then I have a new mission for you. There has been rumors of a Jedi in the Rhen Var System. I wish for you to go and confirm this rumor." Palpatine said.

"With pleasure." Sean said leaving making him chuckle.

"And now your first test begins." Sidious said.

Later

A Star Destroyer exited hyper space above the system.

"I hate the cold." Cole said making Sean chuckle.

"Yeah...I ain't a fan either. But thats why I'm going alone." Sean said going in his personal Tie Fighter before heading down to the Planet.

Arriving at some old ruins he frowned as he sensed something here.

"Hey Cole." Sean said on Comms.

"Yes sir." Cole said.

"Do a history search on the ruins I'm at. Or I'll be walking in blind." Sean said.

"Right away." Cole said.

Sean walked around before he spotted something making him look down seeing it was a lightsaber and picked it up.

"This one is old. Republic Era." Sean said.

"Sending data now sir." Cole said.

"Thanks. One more thing I found a Lightsaber here. It's old. Republic Era. I'm sending an image of it. Tell me if theres any Jedi who are known to have had designs like this." Sean said sending the image.

"Lets see here...Got some. All but one are Dead. Master Arana." Cole said.

"Why does that name sound familiar?" Sean asked.

"It should. He was one of the Jedi that even they believed should have been kicked out of their order. His tactics were just as Brutal as General Krell's. Only difference being though some felt he was mentally unstable. He must be here then." Cole said.

"Yeah...Not alive." Sean said seeing his headless corpse. "I think we might be seeing the work of a bounty hunter...Hold that thought." Sean said dodging a strike making him look seeing a red skinned Twe'lik girl his age who roared trying to slash him.

"I WON'T BE A JEDI AGAINST MY WILL!" She roared.

"Easy. I'm not a Jedi." Sean said dodging her strikes easily since her moves were unprofessional.

"I DON'T BELIEVE YOU...AHHHHH!" She screamed as he used force lightning on her making her drop to her knees.

"Relax. I'm no Jedi. I'm Sith. And clearly I can surmise that Arana tried to force you to be a Jedi against your will to rebuild what was destroyed at the end of the War." Sean said looking at her making her look at him seeing no lies.

"Sorry. He killed my parents...And tried to force me to be a Jedi. And...Even tried to fucking sleep with me thinking it would help repopulate the Jedi numbers."

"Damn. Whats your name?" Sean asked kneeling down.

"Talon." Talon said.

"Well, Come with me. I won't force you to be what you don't want. But I can promise you power. Power...To prevent what happened to you...From happening again." Sean said making her look at him as he offered his hand before she took it.

Later

"So Arana is Dead...And you found a powerful young one on your trip." Sidious said seeing Talon being examined by Medical droids.

"Arana always was dangerous during the clone wars. I believe the war diminished his sanity." Vader said.

"War is hell so yeah." Sean said.

"Indeed. Now what do we do with her?" Tarkin asked.

"I'll take her in and start training her. Not as a full fledged Sith but a powerful agent." Sean said.

"Very well." Sidious said leaving.

"Something on your mind?" Tarkin asked seeing the look on his face.

"Talon said Arana tried to force her to be a Jedi. That doesn't sound like them." Sean said.

"When order 66 came it may have changed them." Tarkin said.

"Which worries me. If their not acting like Jedi that people were told about...Who knows what they'll do." Sean said.

"You think they may enact a Rebellion." Tarkin said.

"Oh thats unavoidable regardless of any of them being part of it. Theres always going to be those who are against any government." Sean said.

"Yes thats true. Still if the Jedi have changed...Things could become complicated." Tarkin said.

"Vader and I will handle that." Sean said.

"See to it that you do. Cause the last thing we need is the Jedi trying to bring back the Republic when it clearly didn't work." Tarkin said making him scoff.

"No argument here." Sean said.

Author's note: And with that Chapter 2 is done. Even though Sean's a Sith he's proven to put the needs of others above himself rather than his own needs.
