A/N: For those complaining about Arkos, look I'm working with what I got here. Pyrrha is a simple 2D character who's whole shtick is she was lonely because of her fame and she loves Jaune because he knew not that fame and was . That's it, like literally that's about all her character is for RWBY. She was literally created to be killed off. I would rather like to explore some of what maybe would've happened if she were to have had those feelings tested sooner instead of "here's a kiss goodbye, I'm going off to fight a battle I know I can't win." Also if you REALLY want a spoiler, well, go read between the lines in the previous chapters. The end result can be pretty much implied from there. If you can't figure that out and can't stand to not know just message me and I can say what happens pertaining to that without giving out details to anyone else who might actually want to read the development there without knowing how it ends. Kind of like not knowing the final outcome of the football game or who scores the final goal at the very least.
As for the review about who's name he was saying, honestly I didn't think that far but it's pretty clear who Nora didn't mean so take your pick, I'll leave that up to you.
CH 16
The dull droning beeping sounds of the machines of the med bay was usually what someone would hear on a normal day. This was not a normal day.
As all that could be heard was the hustling and bustling of Tsune as she moved around quickly trying to prepare a bed for a student who would be here shortly if the headmaster's panicked tone was any indication.
As if on queue the door burst open with General Ironwood carrying the very pale limp body of Jaune Arc in his arms with Headmaster Ozpin standing right beside him.
"TSUNE!" Ozpin screamed as the nurse came rushing over.
"Not so loud Ozpin. Quickly bring him this way." Tsune said as she rushed over towards the empty bed she had prepared for Jaune.
As the duo followed Tsune over to the medical bed Ironwood gingerly laid Jaune down onto the bed before backing up as both headmasters gave Tsune the space she would need to go about seeing to Mr. Arc's treatment.
As the head nurse started attending to Jaune, the two headmasters looked between each other and then at the device that was in Ozpin's hands. It was a scroll, specifically Jaune's scroll with the message window open and showing the last message was a message from Saphron that read, "Hey dear brother, I saw the news and I just so happen to be in Vale. I'll be swinging by to see you. :) "
"What do we do about this Oz?" Ironwood asked as he gestured to the scroll in hand. "We can't have a family showing up on campus and expecting to see a healthy student who just fought and walked away from Roman Torchwick only to see him laid up in a bed in a coma."
"We probably should be the ones to contact her. Hearing it from Jaune's team might not show the same level of care especially after Mr. Arc was injured trying to assist us."
"Let's go with that then, I'll leave the call to you Oz as you are the headmaster of Beacon." Ironwood said as he walked out the door only to bump into a tall man that towered over most others, including Ironwood himself who was not on the short side at all with his height of 6'6" (1.98m for you metric folks out there)
It was only after he stopped taking in how tall the man was when he noticed the girl in his arms and stepped aside letting the man pass into the med bay only to hear the sound of Ozpin's voice behind him.
"Ah Mr. Daichi what brings you-" Ozpins said before cutting himself off as he noticed Velvet being carried in the man's arms and then turned back towards Tsune. "You got another one here Tsune." Ozpin said as the reply of "set her on a free bed," was heard by both of them and Yatsuhashi moved to do just that.
Turning back to the doorway Ozpin saw Coco and Fox enter as well. "Ms. Adel, could you tell me what happened to Ms. Scarlatina?"
"I don't know if we're being honest, Headmaster Ozpin. We were walking to the cafeteria to get some lunch when she just collapsed. She got dizzy and then collapsed." Coco explained.
"And when did this exactly happen? I assume you all came straight here?" Ozpin asked.
"Yeah, as soon as we saw her fall we went to her side and tried to get her awake but when it became obvious to us she had fallen unconscious we brought her here."
"Did anything else happen?" Ozpin asked as he leaned forward a bit, listening to the response intently.
"Well, I uh, I think I saw her eyes light up a little bit but that was probably just the lighting in the hallway."
"Hmm." Hummed Ozpin before Fox inputted his own two lien. "Actually headmaster, before she collapsed I sensed her aura fluctuating. It was only after I turned around did I see her stumbling and falling down." Fox said as a concerned look spread over the two headmaster's faces.
"James-" Ozpin said quickly as he turned back to Ironwood, only to find him already trying to leave the med bay.
"I'll update you when I get there, Oz." Ironwood called.
"Uh Headmaster, what's going on?" Yatsuhashi asked as he returned from laying Velvet down on one of the other beds.
"Students, I'm going to need you all to listen to me carefully and follow this order for it could impact not only the safety of Velvet but also of you three. Do not tell anyone about any aura fluctuations or the lighting possibly affecting Velvet's eyes." Ozpin said seriously.
"But why can't-" Fox began asking before Ozpin answered the question Fox had been in the process of asking.
"All will be explained in due time, but for now Ms. Scarlatina collapsed of exhaustion. She was up late working on her weapon and didn't get enough sleep, understood?" Ozpin said with one of the most serious faces the students had seen.
"Fine but we'll want answers, headmaster." Coco said as she stepped past Ozpin.
"And you will all get them later." Ozpin said confidently as he stepped out of the med bay and began the long walk back to his tower deep in thought at what could've played out and what news Ironwood might have awaiting him.
Meanwhile in Vale
"Ok so all agreed with the proposal as it stands, say aye." Councilwoman Noir said as she looked over the crowd of her colleagues in the assembly hall.
"AYE!" The majority of the hall seemed to shout.
"And all opposed?" Councilman Brown asked.
"Nay." a few councilmembers said much more quietly showing the clear majority.
"All right then, the proposal passes. Mr. Grayson, take the completed final form of the packet and go get your ass in a meeting with Mrs. Schnee. Make sure this deal goes through, we cannot afford to let this slip away." Councilwoman Noir said as she turned to face the councilman in question.
"Understood." Councilman Grayson said as he grabbed the finalized packet and with a small bow to the short man that stood near the exit, went on his way.
"Well it appears my work here is done. If you all would excuse me I have papers to grade and a PhD candidate's thesis to critique so I must be going. Have a pleasant day everyone." Milton said with a wave before grabbing his briefcase and walking out the door as well.
"Alright now that is done, council dismissed. Keep yourselves out of trouble, don't say anything to any press, and for the love of all things good, DO NOT insult the SDC." Noir said as she banged a gavel and then pulled out her scroll.
"Where is that man, ah there he is." Noir said to herself as she found Ozpin's contact information, and selected the send message option.
"Ozpin,
I would like to have a brief meeting soon. Please let me know when you are available.
-Noir"
She typed out before nodding, hitting the send button, and putting the scroll back into her purse, before making her way out of the main hall and to her office.
Meanwhile Grayson had similarly pulled out his scroll and sent a message to Willow requesting to meet with her and received one back almost immediately almost as she was expecting this.
"Yes, that is fine. Would you like to meet back at the building you took us to or would you prefer to meet at say somewhere like the town hall in one of the formal meeting rooms there?"
"That clever woman, she really is going to use this to her advantage." Grayson thought to himself as he sent the details of which meeting room they would be meeting in to the Schnee Matriarch.
Meanwhile several hundred miles away a couple was arriving at the bullhead loading areas as they looked around for the person Klein said to look for, although it seems the person in question was looking for them too as both Saphron and Terra saw a man in a black suit with a pale blue tie approaching them.
"Are you two the Terra-Cotta couple?" The man asked them.
"Yes, are you the person Klein sent to help us get through the private security and find our flight?" Terra asked.
"Indeed I am. It's a pleasure to meet you both, please follow me this way." He said before quickly turning and leading the trio that followed to the private docking areas and talking with a few of the guards there to let them know they were allowed back here.
After a glance back at them the few guards smiled and motioned for them to pass into the restricted docking area.
"Follow me please, your flight is right over here." The man in the suit said he began walking towards a smaller bullhead and gesturing towards the open door.
"If you both enter that door, you'll find seats in there and places to put your luggage. The pilots should also be there, now if you both would excuse me I must be getting back to the office. I got lots of papers to fill out for acquisitions and hiring forms to fill out. Have a good day you three." The suited man said as he walked past the mothers and son.
"Well let's go." Saphron said as she grabbed her suitcase and began walking towards the bullhead before her scroll began to vibrate. Reaching into her pocket she pulled it out and opened it to show a Vale number.
"Can you get my luggage dear? I think this is someone important being from Vale. Maybe it's some reporter trying to get in contact with the family of the hero of the hour." Saphron said with a laugh as she saw her wife nod and grab her suitcase before answering the call.
"Hello?" She asked
"Good day, may I ask if I am speaking to a Saphron Cotta-Arc?" The male voice on the other line asked.
"This is she, may I ask who's calling?" Saphron said.
"Hello Saphron, my name is Ozpin, I am the headmaster here at Beacon Academy." Ozpin said as he introduced himself.
"Good morning headmaster Ozpin, may I ask why you are calling?"
"Well, this morning I learned of your plans to visit your brother here at the academy."
"Oh no I hope the visitation policy allows for visitors. I didn't get my little brother in trouble did I?" Saphron asked worriedly.
"No no, nothing of the sort. Families can visit when they want, so long as it is not distracting from the students' studies or detrimental to those around them. I was calling on more, dire news though."
"Oh no."
"Indeed. There was an accident this morning involving a special request I had of Mr. Arc and his semblance. Unfortunately as you may have guessed from this call, it did not go as planned."
"He- is- i-is he?" Saphron asked as tears began to well up in her eyes as she feared the worst.
"No Mrs. Cotta-Arc, your brother is alive, however he is currently placed in the ICU with our head medical personnel attending to him. Before you say anything or jump to conclusions let me say I have seen many a injury during my time as headmaster of Beacon and I believe your brother should be up and more than likely training within a week, two at most due to his massive aura reserves and his semblance more than likely working passively on himself." Ozpin said as he tried to assuage the woman's fears.
"That's good, but I figure I can't see him then?" Saphron asked in a sad tone of voice.
"By all means you are free to come visit him, however I fear he may be unconscious for a day or two." Ozpin said somberly.
"Understood sir." Saphron said as she inhaled a breath to try and calm herself down. "Do you mind if I still come tonight when I arrive in Vale?" Saphron asked.
"By all means, you are free to come. In fact if you need a ride I will more than gladly personally escort you to Beacon should you wish." Ozpin said with a little more joy in voice.
"I'll keep that in mind, Headmaster, thank you." Saphron said as she went to hang up the call.
"It's the least I could do. See you later and have a safe flight." Ozpin said before Saphron hung up.
"Guess I need to get to Vale soon." Saphron said to herself as she walked towards the bullhead to tell Terra the news on the flight there.
"Alright Councilman Grayson, let's see what you got for me." Willow said as she took a seat at one of the chairs that were sat around the oval conference table.
"Well Mrs uh-," Grayson paused as he looked around, glancing at the doors and then the cameras.
"Ah he's indicating he's not going to say Arc-Schnee because there may be someone listening or someone might leak the security tape for a nice paycheck should they find that on the security tape. Clever man." Willow thought to herself before Grayson continued.
"Schnee, I would like to present to you the proposal the council has approved. It includes several generous tax breaks and credits and is more generous the more jobs this center creates." Councilman Grayson said as he slid the report in a manila folder across the wooden table.
Willow looked down at the folder and the back at Grayson before reaching for and opening the folder to see its contents.
"Interesting." Willow commented offhandedly to see what reaction she could draw, only to see the Councilman trying to look calm and collected but she could see the beads of sweat running down his brow.
"Interesting you say?"
"Yes, indeed these terms are very reasonable. I take it these were the terms drawn up before yesterday, hmm?" Willow asked coyly.
"No, these were actually drawn up in this morning's meeting." Grayson said, a little nervous.
"Hmm." Willow hummed in acknowledgement as she resumed looking over the papers more thoroughly.
As Willow was doing this, Councilman Grayson quickly pulled out his scroll and sent a message to Councilwoman Noir, "She's playing hard ball, and I don't know if what he proposed will be enough."
As he looked back up to ensure Willow was still examining the proposal his scroll buzzed in his hands and he looked down to see a message from Noir.
"If she isn't biting on the proposal, see about stalling her a little. I'm in negotiations on something else that might peak her attention. Be sure to let me know the room you're in and I'll stop by when the thing I'm working on is completed."
Seeing the reply, Grayson sent one of his own back with the room number before quickly putting away his scroll and looking back up towards Willow to see her finishing up with the last of the pieces of paper in the proposal.
"So, what do you think?" Councilman Grayson asked nervously, though he tried not to show it.
"The conditions are pretty favorable, although that is to be expected with the amount of revenue this project could bring now isn't it?" Willow answered.
"I'm sensing a but with that answer." Councilman Grayson said with a sigh.
"But," Willow said, confirming the man's suspicion, "I have to wonder whether this is a safe investment."
"A safe investment? Mrs. Schnee, you are a savvy businesswoman, surely you must know that an investment into Vale will increase profits." Grayson explained.
"I was talking about that kind of safety although I guess they coincide with each other given the recent string of dust robberies that have plagued your city." Willow said flatly.
"Yes well,-" Grayson tried to answer only to be interrupted.
"That's not even counting the recent crimes including the one where I was held up while dining at a nice restaurant in the nicer side of town. If I am not safe there, what's to stop one of the SDC drivers from being killed in a robbery?"
"Well you see we only discussed the proposals this morning but be assured we are actively working towards a resolution." Grayson said as he tried to assure Willow.
"Truly? Well, might you explain why a team of huntresses in training, students, teenagers, whatever you want to call them have had more success fighting the criminal activities of this city than those actually charged with protecting it?" Willow asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, Roman has huntsman training, so dealing with him is a little harder." Grayson said, trying to excuse the recent rise in crime.
"It's so hard that students had to deal with it? These economic incentives are great but they don't mean anything if crime is affecting the margins. Not to mention how will we be able to hire workers who know they're going to be targeted in their job?" Willow asked, half serious, half sarcastic.
"Well," Grayson said as he shifted a little in his seat before standing up, "Let me go get the person who is working on our new security plan of action." With that said Grayson hurriedly made his way to the door but not before hearing Willow's comment she made under her breath.
"Well, I'm glad someone is working on something new as the old plan wasn't working at all."
Quickly shutting the door behind him he walked away a few steps so Willow wouldn't hear him while he brought out his scroll and dialing Noir.
After two rings, she picked up. "Hello?"
"Noir, please for the love of all things good, PLEASE tell me you have some sort of plan for reducing crime in Vale or, at the very least dealing with Torchwick." Councilman Grayson asked hurriedly.
"I indeed do. I just got off the phone with Ozpin and I can come talk about the preparations willing to be made for helping reduce the crime."
"Wonderful, please come to conference room 6, and we can inform Mrs. Schnee of the actions that we can take to help ensure safety of everyone and everything that is being set up here in Vale to combat the criminals." Councilman Grayson said with a smile as he leaned against the wall and waited for Noir to show up.
Flashback 15 mins ago
Ozpin was walking towards his office so he could hear what James had discovered when he felt his scroll begin to vibrate in his pocket.
Upon pulling it out, he saw it was a message from Councilwoman Noir asking if he would have time to speak soon. Knowing that Noir rarely called upon him for anything of an urgent matter he hit the call button before continuing on his walk to his office.
After a few rings the other line picked up with a "Hello?"
"Hello Noir, it's been a while since you last messaged me about a meeting. What seems to be the pressing matter this time?"
"Well Ozpin, the issue is that a criminal with huntsman training is terrorizing the citizens of Vale, and our police force seemingly can't do anything to stop it." Noir said.
"And this has nothing to do with the robbery attempt by Romann on the diners of a more upscale diner last night, right? This is solely about the safety and concern for citizens of Vale." Ozpin replied.
"Oh screw you Oz. You know for a fact I have been requesting that you spare someone, anyone, to help apprehend this criminal."
"Well if I recall correctly one of my teams did trade blows with him and assist in neutralizing an Atlas Paladin he had stolen. That has to count right?" Ozpin fired back.
"Sure they took out the paladin but they also took out several cars and an entire overpass in the process. Ozpin do you realize how serious that is? They could be criminally charged for endangerment of civilians. Not all of us have a fancy aura that can save us from cars being thrown off bridges. Hell it's a miracle that no one actually died that night in and of itself." Noir said, growing more agitated, before letting out a sigh.
"Look Ozpin, help us apprehend Roman. Spare us one of your fancy fully licensed huntsmen, not students, but actual licensed huntsman or huntress and I'll increase the budget of Beacon next year by 2,000 lien to help fuel your coffee addiction." Noir stated.
"Hmmm." Ozpin hummed as he thought about it before replying, "3,000 and I'll get right on it." Ozpin counter offered.
"You help and get 2,000 extra lien on top of next year's already proposed increases or I try my damnedest to decrease your miscellaneous fund by double that. Which means less coffee, and who knows maybe a sudden shortage or ban on certain types of coffee might happen here in Vale." Noir shot back with a smirk.
*Gasp* "You wouldn't!" Ozpin said, his face and tone now completely serious.
"Try me Ozpin." Noir said, equally as serious.
"Fine." Ozpin said as he conceded defeat. "I'll help stop your thief problem, but I expect that budget to increase."
"Ozpin if this goes well Beacon might see a budget increase of its own as students will stop needing to pay so much for dust, which you can also reroute those funds into coffee as well. Not to mention the increased revenue from this deal will make Vale's total budget bigger too. I'll let you think about that, coffee man. It's been a pleasure doing business with you." Noir said with a satisfied smirk as she hung up the scroll.
After a minute or two Councilwoman Noir arrived at the door Grayson was waiting outside of and gave him a nod before walking towards the door as he followed in behind her.
Opening the door Noir found Willow with her back to the door and occupied by a call on her scroll.
"Yes Klein, tell her that. We'll meet her there in 30 minutes. Yes, that's fine. Yes, this meeting should be over soon. Get ready to pull the car around. Ok. Thank you Klein. See you in a bit." Willow said as she hung the scroll and spun her chair around to face the two council members like a James Bond villain.
"So, brought your back up have you? Well let's hear it then. What is it you can tell me?" Willow said as she laced her fingers together and stared at the two.
"Well Mrs. Schnee," Noir said before continuing, "I just personally spoke with Ozpin and he is assigning his best huntsmen to the case to see Torchwick brought to justice."
"That's good to hear but for right now I hope you understand those are just words." Willow said before letting out a small sigh and continuing, "but for now I suppose it's the best that can be done. I'll take this proposal and have our lawyer's look over it and then get back to you with the signed copy, if everything is as it seems." Willow said as she grabbed the proposal and stood.
"That's all we ask Mrs. Schnee. Until then, have a good day and enjoy the rest of your time in Vale." Noir said with a slight bow.
"You both as well." Willow said before exiting the conference room and making her way out to the front of city hall and spotting Klein waiting for her.
After making her way over to the car Klein opened the door allowing Willow to get in and then closed it afterwards and moved around to the driver's door before hopping in as well.
"I take it the meeting went well?" Klein asked as he started the car.
"Well enough Klein, well enough. They offered some good economic incentives but as far as that thief goes, they said Ozpin will handle it so we'll see what happens."
"Well that's good and I do have more good news as well. The young woman you will be interviewing has landed as I said and should be at the cafe we are going to for the interview. I think you'll find she is very well suited for the job." Klein said with a smile as he looked at Willow in the rearview mirror.
"Well let's not keep her waiting then." Willow said as Klein put the car in drive and they drove towards the cafe the interview would take place.
Terra sipped her coffee as she looked around the cafe nervously waiting for the interviewer to show up. She made eye contact with Saphron, who smiled and gave her a small nod before turning back to Adrian who was happily munching on a pastry. Smiling at the sight, Terra's attention was returned to the front door as a small ding indicated it had been opened.
Turning to look at it Terra saw a short man with a brown mustache and balding brown hair enter followed by Willow Schnee herself.
"Ok, I definitely didn't think THE CEO of the SDC would be here. This must be more serious than I thought. No pressure Terra." Terra thought to herself as she stood up and moved to greet the duo.
"Good afternoon you two, my name is Terra." Terra said in her politest voice possible as both returned the greeting and the man she would later come to know as Klein then moved over towards the counter and placed an order.
Looking back towards Mrs. Schnee, Terra saw she had sat down at the table and quickly moved to follow suit.
"Well then let's get started shall we? And please, call me Willow during this interview. The informality will hopefully ease your nerves." Willow said with a smile as she folded her hands together and looked at Terra.
"Yeah I guess the Mrs. Schnee thing no longer applies after what happened to Mr. Schnee. My condolences to you for that."
"Oh don't be dear. Things turned out for the better, in fact I dare say I upgraded." Willow said with a small laugh.
"Is that referring to the blonde huntsman bodyguard?" Terra asked immediately, thinking back to the video of Jaune fighting Roman.
"I guess you saw that news conference then. It's good to see you paying attention to the news about the company, and yes that blond dork of a huntsman holds a place in my heart I previously thought empty. He's helped bring my family back together but enough about me you're the one being interviewed after all." Willow replied, which Terra made a mental note to talk to Saph later about.
"Ah yes, let's get to it."
"So you mentioned the press conference which means you are aware of the leadership change but are you aware of what we are trying to do here?" Willow asked.
"The recruiter mentioned you wanted to set up a branch here in Vale and were seeking a head for the IT department here to help get everything set up and running and then maintain it afterwards."
"That is correct and do you think you can do that Terra?"
"I know I can Willow."
"Good, and then ah." Willow said as she saw Klein approaching out of the corner of her eye. "Thank you Klein." Willow said as she grabbed the coffee only to stop halfway in turning back to Terra as she saw a blonde woman with a baby who looked very similar, infact much like a younger version of Juniper.
Noticing her stop mid turn and the stare, Terra followed it and saw Willow was looking at Saphron and Adrian.
"Oh uh those two are are my wife, Saphron, and my son, Adrian." Terra said, trying to break the silence.
"Ah sorry. Forgive me she just looked like a younger version of a person I know." Willow said with a smile as she turned back to Terra and placed the cup of coffee on the table. "Wife though eh?" Willow asked before quickly seeing the look of nervousness on Terra's face.
"Relax Terra, I have nothing against homosexual marriages or interactions, even if it was one of my own daughters or son as long as both are happy in the relationship, that's what counts right?" Willow said, trying to ease Terra's fear which judging by the girl's reaction she did. "Who's name though did you keep, Klein never really gave me all the details about you outside of your previous work experience and your first name." Willow said as she quickly shot a glance to Klein who noticed and looked away and began whistling.
"We chose to combine our last names instead of keeping one actually. So it's Terra Cotta-Arc." Terra said with a smile which caused Willow to pause as she grabbed her coffee.
"Did you say Arc?" Willow asked as she glanced up at Terra and then shot a glare at Klein who had conveniently gone back to the counter.
"Yes I did and don't worry. We know about Jaune helping defend you from Roman during that robbery and we saw the video of you kissing his cheek. Don't worry I won't tell anyone about it but the video was online and in a news broadcast so…"
"Ugh I'm going to have to deal with that later then." Willow said as she placed her head in her hands, causing Terra to laugh.
"Although you must be worried about him so I guess neither of us should hold this interview too long."
"Yes, being a huntsman is a dangerous profession but I'm not sure what that has to do with how long this interview goes." Willow said as she raised her head and looked at Terra.
"Well surely you want to go see him, right?" Terra asked, showing confusion on her part.
"Dear girl, while our fates may be more intertwined than most might think, to put it lightly in public anyway, I don't need to see him every moment of the day. After all, I just saw him last night." Willow said with a chuckle as she brought the coffee cup to her lips.
"That's not what I meant Willow. I meant the fact that he's um, currently in the ICU at Beacon." Terra said and watched as time seemed to slow for the woman across from her as she slowly put her cup down and leaned in closer.
"Can you, can you repeat what you just said, please?" Willow said shakily.
"Saphron got a call on the way here from Headmaster Ozpin, to tell her a training accident happened, and Jaune was currently being treated in the ICU. That's why she and Adrian are at the cafe with me, so we can leave towards Beacon after the interview is done." Terra explained.
"I swear I'm going to find what that man holds dear and buy up all of it so he gets none just to spite him for this." Willow angrily said under her breath before taking a deep breath and looking back towards Terra.
"Would you and Saphron like a ride to Beacon? It seems as if now we are both going to the same place." Willow stated.
"I think that would be lovely, thank you. Although are we done with the interview?"
"The interview was merely formalities if I'm being honest. Your resume is impressive enough to know you're more than capable and the interview confirmed for me that you're more personable than any of the other people I could have promoted from within so you should bring a breath of fresh air with you."
"So I got the job?" Terra asked excitedly.
"So long as you can pass the other formalities like background check, drug test, etc yes. But we can hash that out later, we got somewhere else to be right now and something else to focus on. Mainly for me it's answers from that damn headmaster." Willow said as she stood up. "Shall we?" She asked Terra who smiled and stood in response before going over to tell Saphron what was happening.
"So what now?" Klein asked, seeing the interview was over and walking back towards Willow.
"Now Klein you are driving us and the Cotta-Arcs to Beacon as it appears Jaune has been placed in the ICU following a "training accident" and I want answers." Willow said calmly.
"Goodness, I'll go start the car then." Klein said as he hurried out to the car.
Willow nodded and pulled out her scroll and pulled up the contact labeled as Headmaster Ozpin before hitting the message button and typing out the words.
"I want answers, and I'm coming to you for them. I'm on my way so you better have them by the time I get there."
Satisfied with the message Willow hit send and looked up to see the Cotta-Arcs walking over and lead them outside to the car.
Meanwhile miles away in a tower overlooking Beacon a scroll buzzed and the only thing besides the *tick tock* of the tower that could be heard was a sigh and the simple phrase "Aw shit, I knew I forgot to inform someone."
A/N: And that's a wrap for Ch 16. What did you think? Have you ever had a job interview where it seemed like all formalities? How do you think Willow will lay the angry wife smackdown on Ozpin? Will it even make him flinch considering what he went through with Salem? Will Torchwick get caught by Ozpin's expert huntsmen team? And what will happen to poor Velvet and Jaune as they lay in the ICU med bay? Find out in the next chapter which should be out before the end of November at the latest. Till then be safe, have fun, and enjoy life!
