Chapter 47 Lost Planet
Its been a couple weeks since the Snakemen escaped Snake Mountain on Eternia which added more manpower to the Sith empire.
Since then the Legion has doubled down and increasing weapons and other military projects.
Right now everyone on the council was going over these events.
"So far our ship production from the Star Forge continues to surpass expectations. However I'm recomending we start creating new ship designs in order to combat the Empire. Larger ships if you will." Tarkin said.
"Oh yeah?" Sean asked.
"This is the latest in the designs of new Star Destroyers." Tarkin said showing a new Star Destroyer that had hundreds of Turrets on both the top and bottom.
"A rather impressive design." Thrawn said.
"I agree. What do you call it?" Sean asked.
"It's called an Assertor class Star Destroyer. 15,000 meters in length and a large variety of weapons on it. Enough to decimate our enemies if they build something just as destructive." Tarkin said.
"It would indeed make a nice edition to our fleets." Yularen said.
"I do not disagree. Anything else?" Sean asked.
"Indeed. Though not as powerful it is indeed larger. Executor class." Tarkin said showing an even larger cruiser. It has half the amount of turrets on it as the Assertor does but just as deadly." Tarkin said.
"Size isn't always everything." Makarov said.
"No but in this case though it would help us in our war against the Empire. We can't hold back. And with King Hiss and his army now allied with the empire it makes it more important that we be prepared for all case scenarios." Tarkin said.
"Agreed. Any others?" Sean asked as a smaller one appeared.
"Dreadnoughts. Fleet killers if you will. Heavy cannons on the bottom of it but can easily destroy a cruiser like the Malevolence easily if it was still around. This would we would use to protect our most important areas." Tarkin said.
"I agree. That one we'll start building at once. Any others?" Sean asked making him smirk.
"I saved the best for last as the saying goes." Tarkin said as a massive one appeared. "The Eclipse class star Destroyer. The flagship of our entire fleet if you will. I figured these ones could be reserved for Members of the council." Tarkin said.
"It's very large. Making this even with the Star Forge would take time." Sean said.
"All the more reason we should begin." Tarkin said.
"Hmm. I can easily commission all but the Dreadnought easily since once the public sees this they'll think we're acting no different than the Empire Making weapons to oppress them." Sean said.
"He does have a point." Anakin said.
"I'd hardly think that since this is a war. And unlike the Republic we actually get results." Tarkin said.
"Yup. Ok, I'll put it all through but once the war ends we're gonna have to decrease production on them for a while till things fully calm down." Sean said.
"Agreed." Tarkin said before a hologram came through showing Ratchet and Shockwave.
"What is it?" Thrawn asked.
"We've had a huge breakthrough in the Forge of Solus prime." Shockwave said.
"This should be good." Anakin said.
Later
"We believe we've had a breakthough on how to fully charge the forge." Ratchet said.
"Oh?" Sean asked.
"One of the compounds needed to fully charge the forge is CNA. The other however we have yet to find but this is the equation for it." Shockwave said showing it before Sean frowned.
"If we can find this other compound we could use it to fully charge the forge and make massive upgrades to the Star Forge. We could end up tripling or bet yet quadrupling our results." Tarkin said.
"Indeed. But this other compound is unknown to it." Ratchet said.
"It's called Thermal energy." Sean said getting their attention. "Thats what the People on EDN 3 call it." Sean said.
"EDN 3? You mean the planet thats controlled by NEVEC?" Kenobi asked.
"The very same." Sean said. "Thermal energy is produced by the creatures there called Akrids. Akrids have generally been a pain for them to deal with but manage to take them down. The Thermal Energy inside them is used as a fuel source by both the snow pirates and NEVEC." Sean said.
"If Thermal Energy is the second half of the equation we need to fully power the forge...We need to go there and collect as much as possible." Tarkin said.
"Well, I was hoping not to drag them into our war but if this helps us out...It's well worth it." Sean said.
"Prepare the fleet to leave within the hour." Thrawn said.
Later
Sean arrived in his home before seeing Junior in the arms of a woman. She had white skin long brown hair and purple eyes in a simple robe.
"There there little one."
"I knew I picked right when I had you be one of the Nannies. Mamako." Sean said as she looked at him with a smile before kissing him. (Mamako from Okaasan Online)
"Well, I love children." Mamako said as Junior cooed in her arms making them smile. "Makes me grateful I'll have some of my own soon enough." Mamako said making him grin.
"In time. Right now I got something to do." Sean said as he walked to his room seeing Sabine breast feeding Canderous.
"Mmm. I can see him as a real strong Mandolorian in 18 years." Sabine said.
"I don't doubt it. Anyway I'll be gone for a while visiting some old friends in the unknown regions." Sean said.
"Don't worry we'll be fine." Sabine said as he left seeing Ahsoka put Damian in bed.
"I know I heard. You just be careful." Ahsoka said.
"I usually am." Sean said as he left.
Later
A large fleet came out of Hyper Space led by Infinity.
"Here it is." Sean said seeing the planet that was a mix between Cold, Lush green and Desert. "Hmph, thats new." Sean said.
"What?" Anakin asked.
"Last time I was here it was all ice. Now it's nearly every type of Environment. Wonder if this has anything to do with their fight against NEVEC?" Sean asked.
"We'll find out soon enough. Drop ships are ready." Mace said as they went to the Hanger.
Arriving on the Drop ships everyone arrived on the planet.
"It feels like this planet is alive." Anakin said.
"In some ways it is." Sean said before Aircraft flew next to them.
"This is restricted Airspace. State your intentions."
"Transmitting clearance codes." Sean said as they were transmitted.
"Codes received. Where you been Kruger? You missed a hell of a fight."
Sean chuckled at this.
"Been busy. I'll explain later just take us to base."
"Roger that. Follow us."
The Legion soon arrived at the base before they landed and got off.
"They seem to know you personally." Tarkin said.
"For good reason."
They turned seeing a group of men approaching them with special armor on.
"He's the reason we took this planet away from NEVEC last year." The commander said before getting in an armlock with Sean. "It's good to have you back Kruger."
"Likewise Jim. But this isn't a visit. We need to talk." Sean said as they went inside.
Later
"Leader of the Legion. I'll admit Kruger I kinda expected you would go far but not that far." Jim said.
"Even I surprise people. Anyway the reason we came was because of the Thermal Energy. We found out it's needed as an important compound to make a special fuel source for an old but advanced piece of tech that can make or improve anything with enough training." Sean said.
"What kind of tech?" Jim asked.
"It's the forge of Solus Prime. Technology that makes everything currently made look like child's play." Sean said.
"How?" One of the men asked.
"Imagine if you will a hammer that could make any kind of weapon you could dream of possible. Or improve it to the most powerful form. Thats what the forge can do. Made by beings who's knowledge of science look like magic to modern society." Sean said.
"And thermal Energy can help power it?" Jim asked.
"Basically. Energies combined with others are known to have interesting effects." Sean said.
"Well, it's a good thing you came when you did. We got a massive supply due to events last year." Jim said.
"Meaning?" Sean asked.
Later
"What the hell?" Sean asked seeing extremely large containers full of Thermal Energy. "How the hell did you get his much?" Sean asked.
"This is the result of a massive Akrid known as Over G. So big it made all of this. And we rarely ever even use it." Jim said.
"I'm impressed." Kenobi said.
"One Akrid caused all this? It must have been massive." Tarkin said surprised.
"It was. It took an entire space station falling on it to kill the damn thing. We tried to call Kruger for help but the thing was blocking all our long range communications." Jim said.
"Damn. Half of the size of one of these is sufficient enough." Sean said as one was currently being drained.
"You wouldn't be interested in joining the Legion now would you? The Sith Empire will eventually find you and attack due your past histories." Tarkin said.
"I don't know. We just took down our last government because they didn't care about us. The idea of joining another is not exactly something anyone here is so eager for." Jim said.
"Maybe not but better to be part of it and have protection than not be part of it and be openly attacked." Thrawn said.
"Good point. I suppose we can at least sign an alliance with the Legion since Kruger runs it. That alone will make people feel better." Jim said.
"Excelent." Tarkin said.
Later
Sean watched as Optimus with the Forge was making major upgrades to the Stare Forge which would increase results drastically.
"I'm beginning to see why you didn't say anything about EDN 3. While holding great potential it also holds great danger with these Akrids. And if this Over G one was big enough to create that much Thermal Energy...Who knows what else lies in wait." Tarkin said.
"Mmm." Sean said.
"Now with improvements such as these...We'll be able to take on the empire better with the new ships we'll be making from the Star forge." Tarkin said.
"I have another cruiser design of my own." Sean said showing his which was massive. "The Mega Star Destroyer. One and only one as the Legion's main flagship." Sean said.
"Very impressive. But why only one?" Tarkin asked.
"If we had more it would be overkill. That and the fact is I don't want people getting the wrong idea. Our aim is to restore peace. Not tyranny. If we make more than one it makes it look just like that. I won't have it. Besides...One is more than sufficient. And besides I doubt Grid could make anything to combat it." Sean said.
"Fair enough. I'll see to it that this one is made at once." Tarkin said leaving with the designs.
"Oh and one more thing." Sean said stopping him. "Regarding the new Super Soldier program. Do make sure those that are chosen are placed under Roger's command." Sean said making him smirk before leaving.
"Uh Sean?" Ahsoka said running in.
"What is it?" Sean asked.
"We have a serious problem." Ahsoka said turning on the news showing Connolly looking smug as usual.
"As I keep telling people the Kruger Clan is a curse that needs to be put down for our own safety. But no one is listening because of the false promises they give us. It's bad Enough we have to deal with the Kruger's of this Generation...But now we have to deal with a new generation." Connolly said making Sean frown. "Thats right. A new Generation of Krugers has been born not long ago. Children of the so called honorable leader of the Legion. Sean Ashburn Kruger has created three more Monsters like himself..." Connolly said.
SMASH!
Sean punched the screen with a growl.
"How do you want to handle this?" Thrawn asked.
"Get...Him here...Now." Sean said.
Later
Connolly grunted as he was shoved into a wall.
"You better tell me how you found out about my kids." Sean said making him chuckle.
"Or what? What are you gonna do?" Connolly asked before Sean pulled out a drill and turned it on making him nervous as Sean grabbed his head making him struggle.
"Does this answer your question?" Sean asked.
"You can't do this! I have rights!" Connolly yelled.
"You fully revealed private information that wasn't yours to to reveal. You think anyone cares what I do to you?" Sean asked as it neared his hand making him gasp in horror.
"It was a Jedi!" Connolly screamed making him stop.
"What?" Sean asked.
"It was some girl in the order. Hated you just like we do. Said she wanted things back to the way they used to be." Connolly said.
"Who?" Sean asked.
"I don't know. She looked to be in her 40's. White hair and blue eyes." Connolly said.
"And you have no idea who she was?" Sean asked.
"No...But I have a photo." Connolly said showing it from a recording he took making him frown seeing her.
"Atris." Sean said glaring at her.
"So I'm free to go right?" Connolly asked.
"No, You put the lives of three children in harms way because of your selfishness. Your going to prison for the rest of your life." Sean said as guards took him out.
"Why would Atris sell out the kids?" Ahsoka asked.
"Cause she hates the fact I changed the Jedi. She doesn't hate me like Arana does. She hates me because she can't accept change." Sean said walking away.
Later
Atris stood before the Jedi who did not look pleased.
"Atris, what would possess you to reveal that information?" Kenobi asked.
"Kruger has destroyed what the Jedi stand for. We are peace keepers...And he turned us into warmongers." Atris said.
"Thats not true. We are not War Mongers. Our order changed to bring better results for the Galaxy." Shaak Ti said.
"You defend him because you have fallen to your emotions to him. I will not. Kruger has changed the order for the worst and needs to be removed. Him and those related to him. Only then can we go back to our perfect ways. No emotion nor attachment. It is the true way of the Order." Atris said.
"Those ways are finished because they held us back from truly seeing the problems of the galaxy. If our old code was as effective as you say why was there still slavery and suffering?" Koth asked.
"That matters not. Those who suffered should be grateful we existed to help those in need and they simply..." Atris said.
"Enough. As of this very moment you are stripped of your title as Jedi Master and will no longer be allowed in the Order from this point forward." Mace said shocking her.
"You can't do this! I had every right to do what I did." Atris said.
"You have fallen to darkness. Exposing the lives of three children who the Sith will not hunt down to kill or abduct to use them for their own gains. Thats not the way of the Jedi." Mundi said.
"Kruger has poisoned your minds! I demand he and anyone related to him be put down at once!" Atris yelled before gasping in pain as Sean stabbed her in the back through her chest.
"The only one who is being put down is you. If you cannot adapt to change...You are left in the dust and forgotten. Time moves forward not stands still. That is the way of life. Something you can't accept because you're selfish." Sean said as she died in his arms.
"We'll have to put security around the children." Adi Galia said.
"I'll handle that." Sean said.
Later
Sean smiled as Junior slept in his crib.
"So what are we gonna do?" Revy asked picking him up.
"I've arranged for security to be placed around the place." Sean said.
"I can't believe another Jedi caused problems for us." Revy said.
"Life is full of surprises. But we'll deal with it." Sean said placing his head on Junior who snored lightly.
Authors Note: Oh boy. Now the kids have been exposed by both Atris and Connolly. The first has paid for her actions with her life while the other will remain in prison forever. And now the Legion has the means to forever power the Forge of Solus Prime and made huge advancements to the Star Forge.
