Chapter 48 An Uneasy ally
Sean growled as he kept thinking back to what Colony did exposing his kids to the public to the Sith.
Placing double security around them to keep them safe knowing Dooku would pull something if he could.
"Worrying isn't gonna help you know?" Tarkin said.
"Maybe not...But I'm still pissed." Sean said rubbing his head.
"I don't blame you. Now though we need to focus on the war. Ending it will mean keeping them safe." Tarkin said making him sigh.
"You're right. So hows weapon development doing?" Sean asked.
"So far so good. New Exo suits have been made stronger than the original ones. And the Cyber Soldier program on Kamino has had more promising results than expected. But for now we still have had no luck with creating new enhanced soldiers from anywhere else but Earth. No other species has had any developments." Tarkin said.
"Yeah. I keep looking back on that. Makes you wonder exactly why only my planet has the potential for it. Others like those from Krypton are another story all together. All they require is Yellow sun radiation to have their abilities. And Martians have strong abilities of the mind. Every species has unique traits but my planet is the only one that can have special abilities when certain energies and factors are involved." Sean said.
"Perhaps thats just how they were designed." Tarkin siad.
"Maybe. Maybe if Azmuth takes a look he might find something" Sean said before an explosion went off in the labs.
"Oh dear." Tarkin said as they left.
Arriving in the labs they found the place trashed but no bodies.
"What happened?" Sean asked as Kukaku came out covered in Soot coughing. "Ugh. Kukaku! I just gave you a new arm. Are you trying to blow it off?" Sean asked.
"Sorry. I guess I messed up the formula." Kukaku said.
"Does it feel hot in here?" Tarkin asked.
"Yeah but I don't see any flames." Mace said making Sean widen his eyes.
"Oh shit. Kill all the lights." Sean said.
"Why?" Kenobi said.
"NOW!" Sean yelled getting them to turn out the lights.
"Oh shit." Regina said seeing blue flames.
"Why is it blue?" Anakin asked.
"It's ethanol fire. Invisible to the naked eye unless it's dark outside." Sean said as clones were about to put it out. "No water. That will only make it way worse." Sean said.
"What?" Anakin asked.
"Ethanol isn't the same as gasoline or oil. Different chemicals have different reactions." Sean said.
"I got it." Reznov said using foam to put it out.
"Kukaku." Sean said annoyed.
"Sorry. What was that stuff even doing here anyway?" Kukaku asked.
"Everything here requires certain things." Sean said.
Later
"That was annoying." Sean said.
"At least it wasn't sabotage." Tarkin said.
Thats when Peter and Laurel burst in making him sigh.
"Great. The one thing I don't need." Sean said.
"So...I guess all that power has gone to your head!" Peter yelled.
"Get out." Sean said.
"You are going to release Connolly." Laurel said.
"I SAID GET OUT!" Sean roared shocking them. "You think you can just push me around?" Sean asked standing up grabbing them both much to their shock.
"Now Kruger...Let's be reasonable." Peter said.
"Oh I have been reasonable. I have been beyond patient with you three fuckers for years! And you think you can just demand me to release that fucking moron after releasing private information about my kids to the whole galaxy of which was not any of your business! I don't fucking think so. I am warning you both right now. Fuck with me ever again...And It will be the last mistake you ever make...Am I clear?" Sean said making them nod as he dropped them. "OUT!" Sean yelled as they rushed out making him sigh.
"Stupidity never ceases to astound me." Tarkin said.
"Aye." Sean said leaving.
Arriving back at the weapons lab he saw a new Mecha Godzilla being developed.
"Fascinating. Isn't it?" Thrawn asked.
"When this war is over we'll be focusing less on military development and more on the people. But everything we do is to keep people safe. But I can't deny we've made great leaps in the last 3 years." Sean said.
"Indeed." Thrawn said before gunships flew in.
"Ah, It must be a new shipment of Relics." Tarkin said as they went down.
"What do we got now?" Sean asked.
"Mostly some new armor and weapons." Heavy said opening one up.
"Wow." Anakin said pulling out some orange great sword. "What do you call this?" Anakin asked.
"That is an Amber Greatsword. Made from Amber using special magic." Hephaestus said walking to them.
"Your work I assume." Mace said.
"Actually an old student of mine in the old years. It's such a shame that modern science replaces the old ways." Hephaestus said.
"Perhaps but with age comes change." Tarkin said.
"Indeed." Hephaestus said before the next crate was opened up.
"Huh." Sean said pulling out a red glowing stone. "The Reality stone." Sean said.
"One of the infinity stones." Mace said.
"Hmm. This could be useful in a few years." Sean said.
"What do we have here?" Rex asked seeing a larger one before it opened up.
"Oh my." Mimir said as Sean took hold of a very large blade smirking seeing the clan symbol on it.
"What is that?" Anakin said amazed.
"The Blade of Olympus." Sean said holding one of the most powerful weapons of Earth. "Forged from both the heavens and the Earth during the war against the Greek Titans. Zeus had convinced my father to have Hephaestus create a weapon to defeat the Titans during ancient times. After the stunt Cronos pulled by devouring his own children to keep them contained he fully agreed. So this weapon was made for him and ended the war." Sean said.
"This could be the key to ending the war in a much shorter amount of time." Kenobi said as Sean placed it on his back crossing with his Star Saber.
"I need time to practice with it so don't get your hopes up." Sean said before an alert came up making him widen his eyes as a ship came flying in.
"INCOMING!" Rex yelled as it crashed down.
"Oh for the love of!" Sean yelled annoyed before getting a better look at it. "Wait a second. I know that ship." Sean said as the bottom opened up before someone in some unique armor came out.
"Stay right there!" Rex yelled with his men aiming at him as he approached Sean.
"Sean...Am I ever glad to see you." He said.
"Hello...Tetrax." Sean said as the helmet went down showing A silicon based man with green crystal like skin and green eyes.
"Whoa...I didn't even know about Silicon lifeforms." Anakin said.
"You'd be surprised. What are you doing here?" Sean asked making him frown.
"I need your help." Tetrax said.
Later
"So the Sith empire invaded your home planet?" Kenobi said.
"Along with several other nearby systems in the unknown regions. I was lucky enough to get away and look for help. Luckily I managed to take down one of their cruisers and learn about the Legion and Earth's location. That alone gave me enough reason to come here." Tetrax said.
"But why invade your home world?" Mace asked.
"Are you not seeing his appearance? What do you think his home world is like?" Sean asked.
"Crystals." Tarkin said. "They're after certain crystals on your home world." Tarkin said.
"I would assume so." Tetrax said.
"What about the other systems?" Anakin asked.
"Most of them are uninhabited or no sentient life." Tetrax said uneasy.
"Trax...You have that uneasy feeling in your voice...What other system was taken?" Sean asked making him sigh.
"Vilgax's home world was also taken." Tetrax said making him sigh.
"Who's Vilgax?" Mace asked.
"He's...An old associate of mine. He's the ruler of his home world. We have an uneasy respect for one another. He respects me because I crippled the Inccurisans whose he's always been against for years so he respects me for my power and tactics." Sean said.
"And now his home world has been taken." Anakin said.
"I can think of many reasons why. Attea knows he's the biggest threat to any schemes they might pull in his territory." Sean said.
"So how do we play this?" Fisto asked.
"Hmm. I'll go and free Vilgax. I owe him one for some tips he gave me in combat. As well as additional worlds I found because of him. Turok you'll lead the assault to free Tetrax's people and make sure they can't get anything off world." Sean said.
"Can I use the new Dreadnought?" Turok asked amused making most chuckle in amusement.
"I recommend it." Tarkin said.
"Go." Sean said as he and Tarkin left. "And we'll be taking the new Assertor class star Destroyer to liberate Vilgax and his people." Sean said.
"I'll get the troops." Anakin said.
"You seem concerned about Vilgax." Mace said.
"He's...Not exactly the most friendly person you'll ever meet. But I can guarantee that as long as the Incursians are our enemy thats makes us his allies." Sean said.
"I see." Mace said.
"Trust me compared to others in the galaxy...Theres actually a lot worse than him. Abigor, The Heirachs, Xenomorphs. And this Orion character we're looking for. And Darkseid was even worse than Vilgax ever could be." Sean said.
"I suppose." Mace said.
Meanwhile
Vilgax roared as he tried to get free from his restraints. (Season 1 appearance when he got upgraded. Still the best version ever)
"A shame you would join us Vilgax." Dooku said approaching him.
"I follow no one! And certainly not some old man who's only alive because of a mistake!" Vilgax roared.
"Yes...I do owe Kruger a small amount for his actions that brought me back to life. Though I know for me it wasn't intentional." Dooku said.
"Obviously." Sean said above them much to his shock seeing him before he cut off Vilgax's restraints making him roar getting free as he tried to slam Dooku but he jumped back.
"I suspected you would come." Vilgax said as Sean jumped down.
"Tetrax told us what had happened. Here!" Sean yelled throwing him something which he caught seeing it was a glowing green Sword. (Energon Sword. Look it up on my DA profile Dragonlord012)
"Impressive. Now you will suffer the consequences!" Vilgax yelled slamming it down creating a massive force that sent Dooku and his warriors back. "Most Impressive." Vilgax said before a Skull Crawler came out and roared. "I will deal with this beast! Kill that old man!" Vilgax yelled.
"With Pleasure." Sean said going after them.
Dooku and his warriors were making way to his ship when Sean stopped him.
"Going somewhere?" Sean asked making him frown.
"I don't know how you found us my old friend but it hardly matters. This world isn't really strategically valuable as I once thought." Dooku said.
"Attea." Sean said looking at her. "You led them here didn't you?" Sean asked.
"Well, duh." Attea said sticking her tongue out. "Why shouldn't I? After all we always wanted this planet." Attea said smugly.
"Uh huh. And murdering women and children is just happy time for you right?" Sean asked making her pause. "Honestly I don't know why I thought you could change for the better." Sean said.
"Too high expectations my friend." Dooku said pulling out his lightsaber as Sean pulled out a green one like his before charging at him blocking the strikes of his guards easily.
"I'm disappointed Dooku. I would expect your personal guard to be much better." Sean mocked as one charged at him in rage but Sean easily blocked his attacks before stabbing him in the chest much to his shock as he dropped dead.
"Disapointing." Dooku said before explosions went off making him look seeing more skull crawlers come up. "I'll give you a choice Kruger. Kill me or stop the destruction of your ally's homeworld." Dooku said leaving.
Sean growled in annoyance before breathing white fire at the Skull Crawlers making them roar in pain as they fell over dead while Dooku's ship took off.
"God I hate tactics like that." Sean said as the head of a skull crawler fell behind him as Vilgax came out.
"They are good only for Cowards." Vilgax said.
"Or old men too afraid to fight fair." Sean said.
Later
"This empire has crossed me worse than the infernal Incurrsians!" Vilgax yelled enraged as he was in his throne room with Sean and the Legion higher ups.
"Yeah Sorry about that. It never even occurred to me they would strike at you. Then again since your world wasn't part of the either the Republic or Separatists during the clone wars I never had to consider it." Sean said.
"No I suppose you wouldn't...Never the less they have made a grave enemy this day." Vilgax said narrowing his eyes.
"Does that mean you'll be joining the Legion? With power like yours you would be considered a powerful asset. And it would help keep your world safe from future attacks." Tarkin said making him lightly growl.
"Let me be clear. I despise the idea of serving anyone but myself. However...I would rather join Kruger's Legion since the idea of him stabbing me in the back is less likely since he values his allies unlike this Sith Empire...So I will make an exception. But once this war is over...I will rule my world again only...Is that understood?" Vilgax asked.
"Crystal." Sean said.
"Then we have a deal." Vilgax said leaving.
"This is gonna be...Tense." Anakin said.
"Hmm. As long as the empire is our enemy...He won't go against us. Difficult though it may be...Better to have him as an ally...Than an enemy and divert our resources. But that doesn't mean I fully trust him. Just his intentions." Sean said.
"By the way. What was that sword you gave him?" Mace asked.
"Oh that? Hephaestus made that thing from Synthetic Energon. It turns out he can make anything from it as long as he has that hammer of his." Sean said.
Later
After Vilgax's home world joined the Legion for Protection Tetrax's world was also set free since the Empire stood no chance against the new Dreadnought that pretty much decimated their fleet.
"I'd say the New Cruiser has indeed surpassed all expectations." Tarkin said seeing the recording of the battle that only lasted a short while.
"This will make Dooku think twice before coming anywhere near our territories without major numbers." Anakin said.
"Most impressive." Vilgax said seeing the battle. "Your designs are far more superior than I once thought." Vilgax said.
"Luckily the Star Forge has been making ships like this every day. But Grid also has been making new ships. And I'm almost afraid that once Dooku sees this he'll be making just as dangerous cruisers that will catch us by surprise." Sean said.
"What if they try to recreate the Malevolence?" Kenobi asked.
"They could but they don't know how to power up the Ion cannon the way I did. I kept that part to myself incase they wanted more." Sean said.
"Clever." Thanos said.
"But they'll probably try making more just to match us in size alone." Sean said.
"Let them try. Even with the advancements that Grid makes them they lack the skills to use them." Atriox said.
"I agree. They rely solely on Sheer numbers. Not skill." RAAM said.
"Numbers may not win a battle but they do help." Megatron said.
"Agreed." Optimus said.
"Doesn't matter. We'll do what we need to so we can win this war. And hopefully we never have to deal with them ever again." Sean said as the meeting ended.
