Chapter 3: The dragon is awakened
Lyanna had strange dreams, full of weird visions which she didn't understand. Three of those she remembered the most clearly.
First vision: A handsome looking man was finishing playing on silver harp, he was a Valyrian as she recognized by his silver-blonde hair and purple eyes. He seemed strangely familiar. A frail looking woman with black hair and olive skin, probably a Dornish woman came behind him and she began to talk. „My brother agreed if you really are not going to strip our children of their names and their birthright."
„I gave my word to you and him, we both knew this marriage won't be the one of love, I didn't choose you and neither you me and dragon has to have three heads and I have found the love recently which will provide me with what I need." He looked at the woman with a sad expression. „I do not blame either of us for this and I won't give up what I gained recently."
„I won't hold it against you, I agreed because I can't give you what she can."
Another vision: A beautiful woman with dark-brown hair and gray eyes came into some room, a bright light was coming from the windows. A man from the previous vision came into the room, she turned to him and smiled. „Well I don't want to sound like some proud Princess, but I really expected more from the place where we spend our wedding night." She smirked.
He came closer and hugged her. „I am sorry but with everything that's happened recently I must keep you safe and away from the Red Keep, you know what I was about to do at Harrenhal and who was responsible for ruining it. Spider has nets almost everywhere, for now we stay here and enjoy this peaceful bliss while we still can. I fear that soon I will have to go to the war and depose my father from the throne.
The woman leaned closer and kissed him deeply, when they finished she asked him. „I understand and I also understand and accept the fact that your first children will stay your heirs however I want children too, do you think we will have a boy or a girl?"
„I would really like a girl."
She raised her eyebrow. „Oh, you are quite certain and aren't you afraid, she would be the same as me?" She finished with a cheeky grin.
„The man chuckled. "She would better be like you, I want to name her Visenya."
„And if it's a boy?"
„Then I will leave that up to you."
„I think I truly love you Rhaegar, my Prince."
"I love you too Lyanna, my winter rose."
Both fell onto a bed and began kissing vigorously.
The third and the last vision: A man in a golden armor and white cloak standing next to a chair made of sword, the Iron Throne as Lyanna deduced, where an uncouth looking man with long white hair and ridiculously unkept long nails, sat and talked to unknown men. „The traitors want my city, but I'll give them naught but ashes. Let Robert be king over charred bones and cooked meat." Scene then transformed, there was again the woman with the olive skin, this time a little girl next to her and a small boy in her arms. „Ser Jaime, why can't we go with Queen Rhaella and Prince Viserys to Dragonstone?"
„King thinks that the Dornish betrayed Rhaegar on the Trident, he wants to keep you here and by doing so keep your brother loyal."
„That's ridiculous, when the Dorne Prince makes an oath he keeps it. And are you sure Rhaegar is dead?"
„Yes, Princess Ellia, he is."
„The woman, Princess Elia Martell as Lyanna, now also deduced, fell on her knees and began to cry.
A little girl tried to console her mother as best as she could. „Muña, don't cry please, muña, muña." The scene disappeared, but the calling muña, as she knew ment mother in high Valyrian, didn't stop as she still heard it inside her mind.
She felt her body covered in sweat, but most oddly she felt something standing on her chest and again the calling. „Muña!"
When she opened eyes she was so shocked that she jumped off her bed while throwing the creature which stood on her chest away, and went looking for her sword. The creature landed on the other side of the room. Lyanna now saw the remnants of the egg on her bed and she finally understood what happened. She beheld a creature ahead of her and saw it was a little white dragon with blue eyes and she could also feel some feelings from it, confusion, mixed with joy and now with sadness. She could only say. „Seven hells, what has just happened?"
Dragon looked curiously and reluctant to approach now after receiving such a rash reaction from Lyanna, who now pointed sword at it, but she also hesitated especially after the dragon spoke to her through her mind. „Muña doesn't want me?"
Lyanna was puzzled and didn't even realize she answered it with her thoughts. „What? I am not your mother." The dragon took a step closer while she stepped back.
Dragon displayed a very strong feeling of sadness. „Muña don't want me? You smell like my Muña, so you must be one, who else would you be?"
Lyanna pondered upon hearing its words. „I smell like a dragon? How can this dragon think that? I am its mother? How, when that egg was most likely laid by Vermax?" She would continue to ask questions in her head if the dragon hadn't happened to speak back.
„I came from the egg laid by dragon Vermax? Well but I hatched for you and because of you, which means you are my Muña now." Lyanna just couldn't believe what was happening, hatching a dragon egg, dragon talking and considering her it's mother, it was too much to take in all at once.
„Muña please." Lyanna could hear the voice of the dragon again, this time desperate even and she now realized it sounded like a female voice, the voice of a little girl who is confused and afraid of being left alone.
Lyanna puted the sword away, there was again the strange urge to protect a little female-dragon standing ahead of her, like she felt with the egg but she couldn't put her finger on it again and it bothered her. „I always thought dragons could only be bonded with those with dragon blood, but I don't have dragon blood, or have I?"
At this point a little dragon lost all patience. She flew across the room, directly on Lyanna's chest, just trying to cuddle and was pleading desperately. „Please don't leave me alone muña, please!"
Lyanna relented, some force made her feel it's a right thing to protect this little one, she hugged her dragon, and began to accept the fact she has a dragon hatchling in her life. „Shh I am not going to leave you, I guess we are already bonded somehow like Valyrians and their dragons during the days of Old Valyria even though I don't know why that is, I shouldn't have any dragon blood."
Lyanna felt a wave of disbelief from a dragon like she spoke some big nonsense. „You are the blood of the dragon muña, otherwise I couldn't be born."
She gripped the dragon with her hands and held her out before her. „Are you sure little one? Because in that case I am now very and I mean very confused."
„Yes muña I wouldn't say you are if you weren't."
Lyanna just put her new friend on the floor and sat on the bed and rubbed her temples. „This will be very difficult, how can someone hide a dragon?"
Her pondering was interrupted. „Muña? I am hungry."
„Well that is just perfect….. Alright wait here I will be right back, don't go anywhere and hide, if anyone should discover you, we will be in trouble and by in trouble really mean it, our lives would be in danger." She got up and headed for the door.
„Muña don't leave me please!"
„Look a dragon, I.. I will have to give you a name, I'll think about it along the way, I need to get a food and we are in the world where are no more dragons well at least recently, as far as I know you are first in two hundred years, and the current king hate everyone and everything associated with dragons at least from what I heard. So I can't just walk with you around the castle. I agree with keeping you however you will obey me and every word I say, understand?"
Little dragon looked very overwhelmed by the amount of information received but in the end she just accepted it. „Just don't leave me alone for long muña, don't stand in the way of destiny as it's our fate to be bonded as Dragon and the rider."
Lyanna smilled. „Destiny and fate hah?" It seemed absurd at first, however the thought that this was always meant to be, gave Lyanna an idea on what name she should give her dragon. „Destiny, fate and time, Do you really think those things brought us together? Then I believe I know the name I am going to give you."
Dragon looked at her curiously. „What name muña?"
„Zyraxes, a Valyrian goddess of time, fate and destiny, I have read about her in the book about the Valyrian Pantheon. She was depicted as a beautiful woman with white hair or as a white dragon, so I think it suits you."
She felt the dragon's approval of the given name and headed to the kitchen, where she grabbed some raw meat for her hungry dragon. On the way she also thought about the visions she had during her sleep. She couldn't believe it. Rhaegar Targaryen and the Lyanna Stark, she didn't understand, in her dream it was clear, that the love was between them, she always heard the prince raped and kidnapped her aunt. Also, the woman of southern origin was probably Princess Elia and seemed rather calm and alright with Rhaegar taking Lyanna as his new wife and she was crying when he died. Prince was about to start a war with his father, the mad king, probably a man from the third vision. It would make sense, a chair made of swords is the only one in Westeros, but he was about to blow up a city and with what?" Too many questions, not too many answers and she didn't even know if she could trust her visions. "It was just a dream, or was it? It seemed so real to me."
The most disturbing thing about it was the fact, she saw it like she was right there present. If those visions would be true that meant the rebellion was partially caused by a lie, Rhaegar seemed to love Lyanna who went with him willingly, she wasn't kidnapped. „Well, if there is any truth to it, I should ask my father, he was at the Tower of Joy, where he killed Arthur Dayne, and found Lyanna Stark, then he showed up with her body in King's Landing and he had an infant girl with him, me…" Then she came to realize that in the second vision there was a mention of a baby, girl or boy naming. „What if I am? No that can't be true, I can't be their daughter, father would have told me, or wouldn't he?"
Lyanna bit her lip as she went. „I must have a blood of the dragon, otherwise a dragon wouldn't have listened to me or bonded with me or even hatched, I must confront my father though he won't probably tell me anything on this matter, but first there is a matter of Zyraxes, I have no idea how to take care of her or hide the fact I have her if only there was anyone of the dragon blood who could help me with understanding of dragons and dragon blood."
After some time of walking she remembered. „But there is someone or maybe was, Aemon Targaryen, the man who refused the crown on the basis of the fact he was a maester, therefore he avoided a bad fate of all other Targaryens in the Seven Kingdoms, but where is he if he is still alive? I must ask maester Luwin." She dropped by her room, gave the Zyraxes some meat on the iron plate and moved to maester Luwin's room.
„Maester Luwin are you there? I must speak to you in an urgent matter." The Door opened and the old maester smiled at her.
„Yes, young Lady, what is it?" He invited her in.
„I need some information." She sat down. „Do you have knowledge about the whereabouts of other maesters?"
Maester Luwin scratched his hair. „That depends, I could look into my records though I don't know why it would interest you lady Lyanna, try to tell me name and I maybe will be able to give you the information you seek."
„I want to know where maester Aemon, formerly known as Aemon Targaryen, currently serves."
„Oh, well for this it's a simple answer, he is still not dead despite his years and still serving at Castle Black, but perhaps I can also help you if it's in my knowledge."
„I will ask you not to say a word about it to anyone unless it's absolutely necessary."
Luwin sighed. „Alright, if it wont threaten the house Stark, but if Lord Stark asks me directly I can't lie to him, when it comes to someone else, you have my word."
Lyanna sighed, she really wanted the answer and she doubted her father would inquire on so specific information and if does, well it's her father and knows the truth. „Do you know if I have dragon blood flowing through my veins?"
„That is a very interesting question. I wondered about that, you see you have certain traits which would suggest such, but I have never tried to ask your father about your mother, so I can't be sure."
„Is there a way to find out?" Lyanna asked eagerly.
Maester Luwin smiled sadly. „Unfortunately no, dragons which would display affection towards the person with dragon blood are gone, those would prove rather quickly if you had any, as they would be able to bond with you and tolerate you in their presence."
Lyanna was now getting nervous, as this was confirmation that she was indeed of the dragon blood. „How do you know all this?"
Luwin chuckled „Well, young Lady, I studied higher mysteries at the citadel and these matters belong to it."
„So there is no other way to confirm the presence of dragon blood in me?"
„Well from some of your physical traits you possess I can deduce you can have a dragon blood present in your veins, for example you have a purple, amethyst eyes which are very prominent trait at those with the blood of Old Valyria, you also poses a great beauty just as the woman of Valyria blood are and I am saying this just as academic comment and Lord Stark once mentioned you are bathing in very hot bathtubs, he was concerned you are hurting yourself, however you not only tolerate very hot water but you even like it, am I right?" Lyanna noded with understanding.
„Valyrians had higher tolerance towards heat, not that they could stand in the fire of course. If you had a white hair I could have mistaken you for Targaryen princess, but as I said your father never mentioned your mother. But if you ask me, the probability of you having Valyrian blood is quite high."
Lyanna noded. „I thank you for your time maester Luwin, I shall leave you now to your business."
„I am always happy to help such a bright learner such as yourself, shame you are a girl, otherwise I would offer you a place at the Citadel."
„I don't think the lifestyle of the maester would have suited me, thank you anyway." She left the room and headed back to her room.
When she entered, Zyraxes jumped in her arms. „Muña you are back! Don't leave me alone for so long."
Lyanna took a deep breath. „Look you will have to get used to it, our situation is not exactly perfect and I told you already I can't just walk around with you for all to see, I must keep you hidden. Do you understand me?"
„Yes muña."
„And stop calling me muña, I didn't lay the egg you hatched from and I am not a dragon and I am fourteen years old girl, too young to have children yet."
„But you are my muña, I hatched thanks to you."
„Whatever, the question is what shall I do with you, I don't know anything about dragon care, I must find someone who can give me some advice."
„And you know about someone, muña?"
„Actually, I just learned where to find someone who could give me some advice regarding you, we will make a little trip to the Wall little-one and we will not be coming alone."
She didn't hesitate, packed her things and headed to uncle Benjen's room, which he used during his visits in Winterfell.
She began vigorously knocking on the door. „Uncle! Are you there? I need to speak with you urgently!"
Benjen just casually answered. „Yes, come in, Lyanna."
Her uncle smiled at her as he was sitting at his table checking a map. „So, what can I do for my favorite niece?"
Lyanna rolled her eyes. „Please, you are saying that to Arya and Sansa too."
Benjen shrugged. „Perhaps, that's because you are all my favorite, anyway what do you need?"
„I need you to take me to Castle Black."
Benjen chuckled. „Lyanna, we do not accept girls into the night's watch, I thought you know that."
Lyanna began to lose patience. „I don't want to join your bloody watch, I want to talk with maester Aemon."
„Hmm, and why is that? Is there a problem the maester Luwin can't handle?"
„Something like that, yes."
„Then what is it?" Benjen frowned. „Aren't you pregnant with a child or something or in bad health are you?"
Lyanna shook her head in disagreement. „Gods with a child? I am fourteen, uncle!"
Benjen raised his hands. "I am sorry I am just asking."
Instead of further talking Lyanna picked her bag and opened it. „I need maester Aemon's advice on how to take care of her." And the head of a little white dragon popped out of the bag.
If the rock thrown by the catapult hit the room through the window, Benjen would be less surprised by it than he was by seeing Zyraxes curiously watching him from Lyanna's bag. He was so shocked he nearly fell off the chair. „How, why, when, where?"
Lyanna put the bag on the table and folded her arms. „It's a very interesting story, really. Imagine I was walking through the crypts and I found there was a hidden egg behind the tomb of Sara Snow which was left there probably by Jacaerys Velaryon. Well, I took it with me and left it hidden in my bed and that very night I had three very unsettling dreams: (she described three visions to Benjen). I was woken up by a dragon you see before you, calling me his mother and claiming I am blood of the dragon, so tell me do you know something, I don't?"
Benjen rubbed his temples. „This is something you should hear from Ned, although yes, I know something you don't." Benjen paused as he didn't want to continue, but when he looked at Lyanna's confused face he reconsidered. „Ah to the hell with it, you would find out anyway sooner rather than later, especially with this one around." He pointed at the dragon which had already left the bag and claimed Lyanna's shoulder.
„I named her Zyraxes." Lyanna said and petted her female-dragon under her chin.
That caught Benjen by surprise, he didn't even know the dragons can have genders. „Is it her?"
„Yes, her voice sounds female when she speaks to me through mind connection."
„What, she can talk to you, like in your head?"
Lyanna nodded like it was perfectly normal. „Yes, she calls me mother in the flawless high valyrian, though it may sound strange to you, it makes perfect sense to me now." Benjen just raised his eyebrow. „I finally understand how Targaryens were able to control and ride their dragons, they could speak with them."
„Indeed that would make sense, anyway speaking of the dragon, those visions of yours could actually be true from what I know from Ned and from what I deduced. Rhaegar and Lyanna were actually together in the tower of Joy, Ned arrived there after the war, just to find his sister, who told him everything."
„So it means they truly loved each other? He never kidnapped her and raped her?"
„From what I heard from Ned and how I knew my sister, no, my sister explained to him everything, like she met the Prince, later corresponding with him, how she chose to run with him before Robert could marry her and how she married Rhaegar after he annulled his marriage with Princess Elia Martell, however only after he promised not to remove his children with her from the line of succession, which was why Prince Doran let them stay in Dorne in secret and safety."
Lyanna was lost for words, she just listened, stunned while she was watching her uncle speak.
„This all my sister shared with Ned and made him promise something important, before she died on the birthing bed…."
Lyanna blinked as she began to understand. „Birthing bed? But my father returned from the war with…. me, that would mean that I…. No, tell me it's not true, uncle, tell me I'm wrong in my assessment!" There was disbelief and desperation in her voice.
Benjen looked directly in her purple-amethyst eyes. „I wish I could do it, that I could lie to you by telling, it wasn't truth but truth can't be denied not anymore"
„Truth, you wish you could lie? You and my father, or should I say my second uncle, lied to me all my life! You two kept this from me!"
„Lyanna, please calm down."
„Calm down?! Are you fucking serious?! You just told me my entire life was a lie and your statement is just: Lyanna please calm down!? And is my name actually Lyanna? Or is it something else?!"
Benjen sighed. „Your name is indeed not Lyanna. You are Visenya Targaryen, daughter of Rhaegar Targaryen and my sister Lyanna Stark, Ned gave you the name Lyanna in honor of your mother's memory."
Lyanna was clearly distressed, plus her dragon began to growl, by the tone they were growls of pain. „I am not a bastard, I am not Lyanna Snow, I was lied to all my life…., my mother and father….." There were tears which began to form in her eyes.
„Ned did all he did to protect you, as he promised your mother." He attempted to take Lyanna's hand but she did withdraw it.
„Don't try to console me….. you can't." She got up and the Zyraxes got back to the bag on her own as Lyanna grabbed it. Benjen got up from his chair too but stopped after Lyanna pointed a finger at him. „Please, don't rise uncle, just please don't." She said with a sobbing voice.
Benjen gave up, he knew his niece reacted naturally, it was the very same reaction he knew could come from Lyanna, should she learn the truth and he warned his brother about it. „Whatever you do, go speak to your father first."
„My father has been slain on the Trident…." Lyanna was trying to compose herself, it was shown, she tried to hold tiers, pain and anger inside. „I don't want to speak or see Eddard Stark ever again." Lyanna simply stated and stormed off."
Benjen just looked into the ceiling. „Dear sister, I just wish you could be here for your daughter, she could use words of comfort and hug from you, now more than ever, gods, I am sorry."
Lyanna was moving fast, she didn't care who she ran around or who she forced out of her way, servants or lords, she had one single destination in mind and she would stop at nothing to get there.
Some servants were left scrambling behind her as they were forced to literally jump aside. She barely noticed them because she was lost in her own thoughts. „I am not a bastard, Ned Stark isn't my father, he lied to me, why? To protect me but he never even bothered to tell me the truth. I asked him multiple times about my mother he never told me. Would he ever tell me who she was?"
Lyanna didn't know what she felt right now, anger, resentment, relief and sadness? The only thing making her sense right now was a need to visit her mother's grave.
Before the crypt entrance she picked up the nearest torch and moved inside. Her dragon was silent all the way from Benjen's room to the statue of her mother. Zyraxes felt the same pain as her mother through their bond and she decided it would be best to let Lyanna deal with her grief without any disturbance from her side at least for now.
Lyanna finally reached her mother's tomb, and she couldn't stop her tears from flowing anymore, she beheld the statue that should look like her mother. „I am sorry mother." She said in a sobbing voice. „I didn't know who you were and you were here beneath Winterfell for all this time."
She moved closer and touched a stone hand of the statue. „I wish the things were different, so you could be here alive and well. I wonder and fear that you hated me in the end given the fact my birth killed you, I am sorry for that even more, I wish I could know you, to meet the woman I could call mother…"
Lyanna could feel a slight touch of movement around her neck. „Is that your muña?"
„Yes little-one it was, my mother, sadly as you can see, she died fourteen years ago."
„Why?"
„I think she lost too much blood after giving birth to me."
„And you didn't know who your muña was?"
„No, your hatching Zyraxes made a lot of things clear to me and I now know the truth my uncle Eddard Stark kept hidden from me and from all Westeros. He never bothered to tell me the truth."
„I am sorry muña, I can feel your pain." With that Zyraxes just kept quiet.
Lyanna's emotions of sadness finally got the better of her. She got on her knees, leaned her head on her mother statue and began sobbing with the only living soul to comfort her being her dragon.
She didn't know how much time had passed, or how long she was weeping on the stone, but her tears stopped flowing some time ago when she raised her head.
„I thought I might find you here." The voice of her uncle Benjen got her attention.
„How long have you been here?"
„Not long." Benjen gave her a sad smile. „I figured you would want to spend some time alone with your mother, though stone can't replace her, I know."
„Did she really look like this?" She look at her mother's statue
Benjen noded. „Me and Ned tried our best to help sculptors to create the most realistic image of our sister, however as I said before, no stone can replace the living person she was."
Lyanna got up and put Zyraxes, who fell asleep, carefully so she would not wake her, to the bag. „I just learned about her being my mother, yet even if I never knew her I feel pain and sadness upon her loss."
„Only heartless fools wouldn't feel pain upon the loss of their parents, Lyanna." She noticed he had a blue winter rose in his hands. Or upon loss of their siblings and other family members they loved." He came closer and put a rose in the statue's hand. „She liked many things in life but winter roses she loved, an affinity you inherited if I recall." He winked at her.
Lyanna managed a faint sad smile upon his remark. „Why are you here? Just to put a rose on my mother's tomb?"
„No, not just that, I came here to check on and ask if you still want to visit maester Aemon."
Lyanna was silent for a minute then she confirmed her interest. „Yes, I must go and see him, he will probably be able to tell me something about my dragon and how to care about her."
„Well then go prepare, take some food and some things, I will meet you at the stables, it's evening so we should slip without notice."
Lyanna noded and was on her way out of the crypts. Benjen looked at his sister's statue again. This will be a difficult path for her sis, I don't know if she is ready for it, if you are watching from somewhere with your beloved Rhaegar, please watch over your daughter."
Ned was working in his solar that morning, there was a lot of work to be taken care of lately, complaints, reports and taxes as usual but he was interrupted by his wife. „May I speak to you Ned?"
„You may Cat, what is it?"
Catelyn sat down and puted grim face. „I want her gone Ned, write lord Bolton you accept the offer, I want her gone."
Ned frowned at Cat. „I will not force my daughter into a marriage she doesn't want, why don't you actually try to get along with her, you would find out she is a good girl."
„She is a bastard, cursed by gods and men."
„I wonder where did you hear these facts, people of Winterfell or people who know my Lyanna don't curse her and the Old Gods certainly curse her neither."
„Worshiping trees like your barbaric ancestors is not a proper way to honor the gods, Ned, luckily Septa Mordane and I try to teach our children proper ways of the Seven.
Ned Stark's face visibly darkened. „We had an agreement, Cat, or did you forget?"
Catelyn blinked in confusion. „I am not sure what you are talking about Ned."
„I allowed you to worship the Seven here, yes, I let the sept be built in Winterfell so you and your servants can have a place to worship your gods and let Septa Mordane raise my kids, however under the one condition, don't you remember it?"
Catelyn searched in her memory in vain. „I am sorry Ned, I can't recall."
„I let you do those things under the condition that you or any other of your service won't insult or disrespect my gods and that my children will just learn about the Seven, not to worship them."
Catelyn wanted to protest but then she recalled she actually promised this. „I…."
„You married into the Starks of Winterfell, we do not follow the Seven. My so-called barbaric ancestors as you so eagerly named them fought the wars to keep the traditions and religion of the first men alive. I have the blood of the first men flowing through my veins dear wife, the entire North has it, maybe except Manderlys. I hoped you would begin to respect my ways over the years, yet I see now that you didn't."
„Your way was to bring to my home another woman's child, a damned bastard."
„Your home? This is my castle not yours and that girl is my blood. I understand you will never get over her now and since I honor my barbaric ways it would be probably best for you to sleep in your chambers tonight."
Cately gulped as she realized she went too far, however before she could apologize, Robb entered.
„Father, sorry for interrupting but Lya, she is gone."
Ned raised from his chair. „Are you certain?!"
„Yes father, I looked everywhere, her room crypts, godswood and library, she is not here, I informed Ser Rodrick, he is already searching the castle."
Roughly ten minutes later Ser Rodrick appeared. „My lord, I regret to report that Lyanna is not in this castle."
„What?! Send out the men, mainly to the south. Maester Luwin?"
„Yes my lord." Answered maester who also showed up.
„Send the raven to the white Harbor. I order them to check every ship for the girl of Lyanna's description to stop her and send her back here."
Ser Rodrick coughed. „My Lord Stark, maybe she has not left for White Harbor, the guards who guarded the gate at night reported two riders leaving, one was your brother and the other was a hooded person on white horse which was Lyanna's, as it's also gone from the stables."
„Ned visibly relaxed. „Well if she is with Benjen then she is probably fine, although why would she leave with him? He could take her only to Castle Black."
„Maybe I have the answer my lord, yesterday the young Lyanna went to me and asked about maester Aemon who lives there, so she probably wants to speak with him."
„Why would she do that Maester Luwin?" Ned was growing suspicious.
„She asked about dragon blood for some reason, I don't know why."
At that moment Ned knew. „I will go after them, Ser Rodrick, Go prepare some men for my escort."
At once, my Lord. „He bowed and left."
Ned looked around and then at his wife. „When I return we shall talk."
So there we have the third chapter again, a long one. I have decided not to keep a secret about Lyanna's parents for too long from her and it will have many consequences. I am going to use the name Lyanna as long as she will use it in the story once she fully accepts her Targaryen heritage and name. I and people in the story will start to refer to her as Visenya. Also I decided to add her the ability of the dragon dreams. About those it's important to point out that Lyanna had them for the first time in her life in this chapter because of magic which began flowing to the world through her Dragon. The name for the dragon and as well goddess Zyraxes, a Valyrian goddess of time, fate and destiny I made up for this fun-fiction, mainly because we do have only very few names of valyrian gods in canon which is really a shame.
