Author's note:

College's a fucking bitch.

Sorry for the hiatus, had to remove some apps in my phone to make way for other school-related apps (online class and all). I'm using a low-end phone, so this had to be done.

This app, and some others have been taking up space.

This was the last chapter I had made for the last year. First semester's nearing its close, and I've some problems to take care of, so expect very, very, very, very, very, very slow updates.

Once again I'm terribly sorry.

Do please enjoy.

Mikoto watched the teen stand still. He continued to stare at her questioning gaze, lack of emotion present in his face. But she instantly knew he was trying to bluff.

"That time, when you saved me from Dr. Kiyama. And you blocked that explosion by yourself." Mikoto continued to talk. "There's no going around it. You're him aren't you?"

"..."

"Are you even what you say you are? Don't give me all that bullshit about you being a Level 0."

"...This Red Man dude, whoever he is, he's got nothing to do with me. So if-" she interrupted with another bolt thrown.

"Like I said, there is no point with you avoiding it. Why don't you just go out and tell the truth? This would make things a lot easier for me."

"Why? What is this sudden interest on some guy I've never even heard of?" Kamijou retorted.

"I said before to stop lying and tell me!"

"Then why do you care? What is the point of you knowing the identity of your mystery guy?"

"...I just, I just want to know."

"Why though? What's the point?"

"I said I just want to know! How did you butt in that moment and deal with it that well? You could've... just left it up to others.

Why didn't you?"

"...Again, I have no idea what you're talking about. Now if you please excuse me-"

"Onee-sama!" A loud voice from behind the brunette reached both teens' ears.

Not a second long after Mikoto felt an impact behind her as her kouhai embraced her, cuddling and rubbing her face in her shoulders.

Mikoto instantly saw red as sparks flew from her bangs.

"WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP WITH THAT STUFF?! IT'S GETTING REALLY ANNOYING!!!" Mikoto yelled towards her pigtailed junior.

"Oh but my beloved Sissy, twas' been a hellish day without you by my side. I only wish to be reunited with my one and only Onee-sama!"

"Again with this crap," Mikoto sighed in frustration.

"She's been like this for an hour now," another voice came in. Mikoto looked up to see Uiharu walk up, looking rather ragged.

(She must've ran after this pervert 'sensed' me, most likely), Mikoto thought. "Hey Uiharu, she been giving you trouble lately? I'm so sorry about that."

"Oh don't be. When your partner's someone like Kuroko you tend to get used to their quirks, warts and all."

"Story of our lives," Mikoto quipped which made Uiharu giggle. Mikoto chuckled along.

"As much as I don't appreciate you two trying to work together and slander me, we should get going. I and Uiharu heard that Saten-san's done with her special classes. We wanted to come over to her house to check in."

"Sounds good," Mikoto faked her cheerfulness, regularly glancing to her right.

He was gone.

(Dammit.)

-

"Whew! That was a close one," Kamijou thought to himself. "Any second later and she would've had my ass pinned to the ground! Such rotten luck!"

Kamijou slumped his way along the path he was walking on, feeling today's events sapping his remaining energy.

"If I have to get into one more unlucky event I swear I'm gonna lose it," Kamijou grumbled to himself.

He had spoken too soon, as he accidentally stepped on a nearby dog's tail.

Unfortunately for Kamijou, the Rottweiler was rather determined to take him and rip his ass apart.

"ROTTEN FUCKING LUCK!" He yelled as he hauled out as fast as he could.

Within a dusty basement underneath an old building on District 19 a lone figure sat on a table. Scattered on it were bits and scraps, taken from the many junkyards spread across the Ghost District.

Considering that very few lived here it proved a more fitting place for the Shadows of Academy City to spread. Granted that Judgement and AntiSkill would regularly scour the district for any criminal activities but the lack of crowds within the Ghost District made it so that patrols were brief and few in-between.

There were students in here who enrolled in the very few schools still operating within the dying district, however most have decided to transfer out to other districts, the few remaining either brave, foolish, impoverished, or smart enough to know not to cause trouble.

And this particular man in here, was the type that the 4th category try their best not to meet and anger.

Static noise filled the air as a loud voice rang throughout the quiet room.

"Prowler, you're up." A short, precise phrase entered the man's ears, as he dropped the purple helmet he was currently working on.

After his assignment a few nights ago his boss had decided yet to keep him on standby mostly. Said to keep a low profile for a bit.

If it allowed him to destroy Big Spider and protect the people he cared about, then he will be willing to go into Hell and burn for eternity.

And Tombstone will be there alongside him.

-

"...and then she went, "Should I be worried about this?" I just said, "No this is okay, at least we're doing pretty good on the ukelele today."," Saten told her friends the various afterclass activities they did.

"Muu must be dozed off a couple times during that class hasn't she," Uiharu asked.

Saten just shrugged. "Seriously I love the girl, and even I hope she keeps to her studies the same way you both do. We all do."

"As long as you keep it up we're with you every step of the way," Mikoto said.

"That being said," Kuroko piped in, "you guys are going okay for these past couple days haven't you? No more headaches and whatnot?"

"No, not anymore. I'm feeling pretty good, all things considered." Saten cheerfully said. "Though I was pretty hungry before."

"Thus the buying of hotdogs and yakisoba bread? Yeah we noticed."

"Oh shush you," Saten scolded Mikoto. It's clear by Kuroko and Uiharu giggling, and Saten's smile that she wasn't serious. "That said I'm still hungry. The stuff I bought on the way here should've been enough to keep me filled for a while."

"That might be a side effect of the coma you and the other were in, bouts of extreme hunger. The others had the same feeling but eventually they disappeared, so you'll be fine," Kuroko assured her.

"I hope so, thanks." Saten got up from her seat. "I'm gonna go wash up real quick. You go start without me when I'm taking a bit longer."

"Don't take too long though or we'll eat your food too," Uiharu called to her, a grin on her face. Saten only glared at her friend briefly before she entered the bathroom. "Saten's gotten pretty lively over the past couple days, hasn't she?"

"Yeah, that class must've done wonders for her and the rest of them." Kuroko said.

"Might as well celebrate this with a Triple Chocolate Sunday Deluxe!"

"Try to cut down on the sweets Uiharu."

"Hey, I haven't snacked for weeks! That paperwork on the Level Upper didn't write themselves you know!"

"I'm well-aware Uiharu-san."

"I doubt that!"

Mikoto softly giggled at the two officers' banter. It must've been such a long day for them both, after that fiasco.

And the sooner that red vigilante is mentioned, the better.

"Ohcrapohcrapohcrapohcrapohcrap-" Shouts were heard inside the girls' bathroom. As well as a couple girls running out of there.

The manager and the two Judgement officers got inside the room to see a broken faucet, the knob part of it somehow taken out causing water to spout out of it. Alongside a particularly drenched Saten, knob in hand.

"Uh... the knob broke when I tried to open the faucet. I don't know why it did." Saten sheepishly explained.

Uiharu's stiff smile, Kuroko facepalming, and the manager's angry face were her responses.

--

"Be careful next time, if it weren't for Misaka-san you might've had to stay behind and wash their dishes," Uiharu scolded her friend. They had already reached to her dorm, with Mikoto and Kuroko already off on theirs.

"It was an honest mistake ok? Won't happen again, although those guys back there should fix their faucets," Saten said.

Uiharu sighed. "See you tomorrow Saten-san. Don't sleep late ok?"

"Alright Mom. See you tomorrow," Saten waved to Uiharu.

Taking out the keys out of her bag, she unlocked the door to her apartment.

She grabbed the knob and entered her dorm.

Turning on the lights she saw the piles of homework greeting her desk.

"Well, let's get to work then." Saten let out to no one as she closed the door.

Only to trip and fall to the floor.

"OOOOFPH!" Saten groaned as pain greeted her side. Getting up from the ground she looked up to her door, which currently had no knob.

"What the...? Where's that kno-" She started to say but her question stopped as she looked down.

A crushed knob. On her feet.

Wait, didn't she just close the door earlier? How did...?

"The hell?"
