Been a while... Well, here is the story started you guys been waiting for!
Enjoy...
Upon morning, dawn shines through the window as the sun rises up. A certain someone woke up, leaving a small sound when getting up.
"Nn..." A female voice grunted. Blue eyes with mismatched pupils, gray hair, and notably she has wolf ears. She is in her light blue and white pajamas, getting up from bed. Standing, and glancing at the window, she needs to get ready.
Already dressed up in a school uniform. Then she grabs her left green glove, putting them on. She takes her bicycle with her, then rides it. She heads out of the streets, cycling for a while.
Time passes, as the sun reaches higher into the sky. She continues her daily cycle, at the desert road. Outside is a massive land of hot sand, with ruined skyscrapers being partially buried by these dunes.
Just then... She noticed someone in front of her... A tall figure in an armored suit. Walking despite the vast road, carrying some bags. Then he turns, seeing her, stops and turns around which she immediately stops her bike.
Now the two are face to face. She gazes at the helmet of this person, of course not able to see behind the mask. However the looks of that design made her recognize who he is...
"You're... Sensei?" She asked.
"Yes." The armored man nodded. "And you are...?" He asked for her name.
"Shiroko, Sunaookami." The girl answered his question. "I'm from Abydos High School."
"You are..." He affirmed, seeing her appearance and her halo. "Then you know why I am here." He stated.
Shiroko nodded, "Nn, you read Ayane's letter. Why are you walking there?" She wondered, tilting her head a bit.
"There is no other transportation." Sensei simply explained. "Unless you can provide me transport to reach there quicker." He suggests.
"Nn." Shiroko nodded, "Hop on, Sensei." She patted her bicycle seat. Despite him seeing it as a single seat, seeing the girl's neutral expression. He goes there and sits behind her. Then Shiroko pedals on with ease, heading to the academy.
Throughout the trip, it was a silent one. None of the two tried to speak, but Shiroko is curious. Due to the fact, she heard the news happening in Kivotos. That Sensei was being broadcast in the news, not only regaining the Schale building with four students, but he joined the fight as well...
Sensei meanwhile is observing the desert wasteland, until seeing the big city that is the destination. All the while, Arona is in his Hud humming while sitting on the simulated chair. From Shiroko's perspective, she didn't hear Arona's humming.
Finally, they arrived at the school building, entering the main gate. Sensei glances around while following Shiroko, the entire area is quiet and eerie, the sound ambience of the desert makes it feel very isolated.
It seems the information from Arona is true. This academy has been left behind, by her explanation. Ever since he was heading to Abydos state, Arona explains that this land was not like this, since the desert storm covered up the major areas.
"We're here." Shiroko's voice regained his attention. He stopped as she's at the door. She turns the knob, opening the door. "I'm back, everyone." She announced as she entered.
"Shiroko, you're back- Who's that!?" A girl exclaimed, her red eyes gazed at Sensei. He also noticed her traits, cat ears, long dark navy blue hair in the form of twin ponytails on the side. She's also in a uniform, unlike Shiroko's, her jacket is buttoned.
"Oh my Shiroko, you've brought a guest?" Another girl with long pale blonde hair and green eyes. She partially wears her full uniform, only missing a tie and the jacket, replaced with a beige cardigan.
"We haven't gotten a visitor for years..." Then there's a third one, she wears red glasses, has elf-like ears, and dark hair in the shape of a bob cut. Golden eyes stare at him, her uniform is also there, only with a beige vest she stands out.
"Greetings, students of Abydos." Sensei introduced himself with a calm demeanor. "I am Sensei of Schale. I've arrived here because a student named Ayane sent me a letter in need of support." He stated.
This caused the three girls to be shocked, "You're Sensei!?" The cat-ear girl exclaimed.
The pale blonde girl smiled, "You must be here for our support!" She beamed.
"Correct." Sensei replied. Then the bags he's been carrying this entire time, he places them on the tables in the room. The girls go and open the bags, inside are filled with extra ammo packs.
"This is..." The elf-ear girl gasped with relief, turning to Sensei. "We cannot thank you enough, Sensei." She said, which he nodded back in silence. "We have to tell this to Hoshino- Wait, where is she?" She looks around.
The cat-girl grunted, "She must be sleeping in the next room." She huffed, leaving the room. Shiroko and the blonde girl grab some specific ammo packs for their weapons, loading them up.
"Ehe... Serika, can't you give your old-timer a five minute break?" A slurred voice spoke up, the cat-ear girl, now named Serika , was carrying another girl, shorter than her. She has long pink hair, wearing the uniform, excluding the jacket. She must be Hoshino herself.
"Come on, Hoshino! You're supposed to represent us!" Serika scoffed, as Hoshino stifles a yawn, opening her eyes, revealing to be heterochromia of blue and orange.
"You must be Sensei..." Hoshino muttered, due to her tiredness. She gives off a lazy smile, "Nice to see you." She greeted him.
"You too..." Sensei replied, though he noticed despite the lazy expression of Hoshino, her eyes gaze at him fully. Is she...
Suddenly gunfire is heard from outside, bullets fly through the window's glass. Everyone ducks down, Shiroko goes up close to the window, taking a peek. There she sees a group of girls, wearing black uniforms and black motorcycle helmets, led by one red helmet student.
"It's them. The Kata KataHelmet Gang are here." Shiroko announced it to the others.
"Gah, they decided to attack now?" Hoshino sighed with slight boredom.
"Well, we can now fight back properly this time!" The pale blonde girl gleamed, holding her minigun.
"That's right, with Sensei's arrival our ammo is resupplied." The elf-girl confirmed.
Sensei's next course of action of course, he summons a bow. Gaining a slight yell from Serika and some surprised expressions from others. "May I know your names?" He asked the elf-ear girl and the pale blonde.
"Um, Okusora Ayane, Sensei." The elf-ear girl answered.
"Izayoi Nonomi." The pale blonde joined with her response.
Sensei nodded at the two, "I'll assist you all, just lead the way." He stated.
"Well, you heard Sensei." Hoshino has finished reloading her shotgun thanks to the new ammo supplies. "Let's kick these troublemakers outside." They all head out, while Shiroko glances to see Sensei joining them in the frontlines.
She can't wait to see him in action...
Rapid gunfire occurs, bullets hit the outside walls by helmet students wielding submachine guns. The red helmet leader guides a group of black helmets.
"Keep em coming! They have no ammo to fight back!" She shouted, as they moved forward.
Suddenly, an energy arrow passed her aside, near her head. She hears a grunt from behind, turning to see another student getting hit by an arrow before getting electrocuted.
"Eh?!" One of them exclaimed by the sudden shot. Then, they saw who's at the frontline, Sensei holding his bow. "What the heck are you!?" They demanded.
"..." Sensei remained silent. He then aims his bow, fires another arrow at a second target, knocking them down.
"Hey!" One of the members of the gang got infuriated by the lack of response and immediate action. "You're gonna get scrapped!" They all raised their firearms... And fired...
Just then, Hoshino came in front of Sensei, holding her riot shield. "Ehe, you really made them angry Sensei?" She joked, unfazed by the gunfire hitting her shield.
"Keep providing cover." Sensei replied. Hoshino nodded softly, holding her ground.
"Go go Sensei!" Arona cheered, pumping her fist while she's inside his Hud. He aimed his bow at the shooters, releasing a couple energy arrows, hitting a few targets. Hoshino quickly raises her shotgun, moving forward as Sensei follows. She fired some shells, also hitting the girls with ease.
Quickly, the remaining gang members run for cover towards the outside gate. Not knowing, outside a drone flies behind. It then unleashed missiles straight towards them, before they noticed it.
Boom. Explosions occurred, as they spread out like a panicked herd. Serika, Shiroko, and Nomoni joined in, firing their weapons upon their Helmet Gang.
"Nomoni, aim right, there are more grouped members over there." Sensei pointed in the direction. Which she complied, aiming her minigun straight at the group of four.
"Serika, Shiroko, pick out the strays who'll try to flank the side." He commanded.
"Alright, I get it!" Serika fires her rifle at the few gangsters. Shiroko nodded and shot down some of them.
"Nomoni, join with Hoshino and I, we are going forward." Sensei concluded, as the minigun girl joined in. As Hoshino goes forward, completely wasting the Helmet Gang with ease.
"Wah! My helmet!" One of them cried out, as the visor got shattered by the bullet shot.
Another drone flies above, witnessing the attack. Ayane is monitoring with her tablet, witnessing the drone's viewpoint. "Incredible..." She muttered.
"How is this possible!?" The red helmet leader witnessed her allies getting shot down. Helmets broken, they feel very embarrassed despite getting shot in the head. Their durability against bullets are impressive.
"We can't hold them- Ah!" One of them tries to speak to her, but she gets shot in the head.
The leader sees Shiroko running towards her. "You...Don't come any closer!" She aims and fires her rifle, but the wolf-ear student dodges them, before unleashing a kick that knocks her down.
She gets up, but sees a gun aimed right at her face, held by Shiroko. "Nn... It's over." She muttered.
"W-wait..." Her bashful tone changed to quivering fear within an instant. "I surrendered-"
Bang. She gets hit in the head by Shiroko's bullet. A shock of pain zaps her, then Shiroko continues to fire at the downed leader.
"Wowowowowowowow!" The leader cries in pain by the constant shooting.
"Shiroko..." Sensei calls her out, ceasing her firing. She turns to him as stops beside her, "That's enough." He said.
"Nn, yes Sensei." Shiroko lowers her gun. Just then the leader gets up, and she and the rest of the gang who also recovered with an instant start to retreat.
"Waaaaaaahh! This isn't over yet!" She yells as the voice faded away by the time they ran off in the distance. Then Serika, Hoshino, Nonomi, and Ayane's drone joined with Sensei and Shiroko.
"We did it!" Nonomi smiled.
"Hahaha!" Serika laughs, "How do you like that Helmet Gang?" Since this is the first time, they run away crying in defeat.
"Let's not celebrate just yet, just because we pushed them off, doesn't mean they'll be back with reinforcements." Sensei reminded the students.
"We know that!" Serika refuted back at him, crossing her arms. "It's just we haven't gotten back at them so hard, compared to their previous attacks." She said while she sees the lack of expression hidden behind the mask which mentally creeps her out.
"Sensei's right." Hoshino agreed with Sensei, "This is just the same victory we've got, but it's gonna happen over and over if we don't stop the source." She stated. "And with the ammo help from Sensei himself, I think we can finally fight back."
Then Ayane's drone summoned a holographic version of Ayane herself. "I agree." She nodded. "We saw them retreat in a continuous pattern, I can trace you all to their location."
"Very well. Lead the way Ayane." Sensei affirmed, as the hologram nodded before disappearing. The drone heads out, as the students and Sensei follow the drone's path.
They continue to trail the path, going towards the base. Shiroko watches Sensei walking amongst the middle of the group, with Hoshino in the front, Serika in the middle like her, and Nonomi from behind.
Something perked her interest in Sensei...
"Sensei?" Shiroko spoke up, making his head turn to her.
"Yes, Shiroko?" He asked.
"Why do you hear about this helmet?" She questioned with a hint of curiosity.
"For protection." He simply replied. However this made her pout slightly by this simple answer.
"Do you ever take your helmet off?" Shiroko asks another question.
"No." He said. Shiroko slightly pouts again.
Nomoni perked up by this small conversation, "Hm, I do admit, your looks are impressive Sensei. Like we might confuse you as a very advanced robot like others." She remarked.
"Mm." Sensei mumbled, not having anything else to say.
"Ehe... Is Sensei just another Shiroko?" Hoshino jokes, seeing the similarities between Sensei and Shiroko.
Shiroko meanwhile is even more curious about Sensei himself even more. She really wonders what's behind his helmet...
"We are here." Ayane's voice announced from the drone. They finally see from the distance, a large building in the midst of the city district, where the massive desert is seen.
"Let's teach them how it feels like to attack our school!" Serika readies her gun with a proud smirk.
"Well, after this, this old-timer needs a well deserved nap." Hoshino yawned, holstering her shotgun over her shoulder.
"Alright, let's just make sure we are just not letting them attack the academy once again." Ayane hoped to ease this tension. But seeing everyone in determination and Sensei on their side. They move forward...
The Helmet Gang members are on guard, some are being treated with some mere bandages and given new helmets. Just then, a shout of pain occurs from one of them being shot, by an energy arrow.
Those who know whose arrow is this, dread rises. Explosions occur, everyone gets their firearms. They fire immediately, and as the smoke cloud clears out, Hoshino blocks more bullets with her shield.
Shiroko, Serika, Nonomi fire their guns, Sensei continues shooting down far away shooters. Shiroko remains behind Hoshino, she shoots some down, breaking their helmets.
"Not again!" One of them complained. She was the same one who was at the battle from the school, got her new helmet broken by Shiroko again.
"It's too much!" One of them cried out, as they retreated once more. Some of them enter inside the base. Sensei and others arrive at the doorstep, Hoshino barges the door with a shotgun blast.
Entering inside, they explore the building's vast room. Then they saw a group of the remaining Helmet Gang, all raised their hands. "Stop!" The same red leader shouted, "We give up! For real this time!" She fretted.
Shiroko glared at the leader who was fearfully shaken by seeing her, "Nn..." She stared.
"Ahem..." Sensei clears his throat, walking forward to the leader. "Do you know who I am?" He asked. She fearfully shakes her head, "Hm, very well, I am Sensei of Schale, surely this title is familiar." He introduced himself.
The leader's eyes widened in shock, "Y-you're S-sensei!?" She yelped, along gaining the same reactions as other Helmet Gang members.
"Now you know..." Sensei affirmed. "Why did you attack the Abydos Academy? And please don't lie unless you want the students you've attacked to ask these questions."
The leader sees the Abydos group, notably Shiroko, fearfully complying, "We are just hired to take down the school!" She answered.
"By who?" Sensei asked.
"We don't know!" She pleaded, "It was just some robot telling us what to do in exchange for money..." She explained.
"I see..." Sensei replied, "And are there consequences for you failing this mission?" He asked.
"Eh?" The leader perked up, "Um... Maybe?" She replied with a question.
"...Then it seems you won't be safe, if we push you away." Sensei stated, then leans to her, which she fearfully backs away. But once near her ear, he whispers to her, causing her to relax. "Take others and go, and you won't attack this academy anymore." He commanded.
"Alright, Sensei!" The leader nodded as she turned to others, "Let's go!" She ran off as others joined her leaving the base.
"Sensei, what did you tell her?" Ayane's hologram wondered.
"The Helmet Gang is merely henchmen, hired without excluded information." Sensei explained. "It seems your issue has gone deeper than what it seems." Ayane realized his response didn't answer her question.
Just as she was about to mention it, until the sounds of shuffling gained everyone's attention to see Shiroko taking some dropped ammo and wallets, left behind by the Helmet Gang who must've left it in a hurry to leave. She carried them within her sack she found here.
"Shiroko! That's stealing!" Ayane exclaimed in anger.
"It's not stealing, it's looting." Shiroko stated which Ayane facepalmed.
"We should go." Hoshino yawned again. "We'll discuss this later in the next day. So Sensei, how do you feel about staying in Abydos High for a night?" She asked, he nodded in response. "Alright, let's go."
They all leave the base, returning back to their school.
Night sets up as hours pass, Shiroko, Ayane, Nonomi, and Serika leave, heading back to their homes. With only Sensei and Hoshino saying their farewells to the four students.
"Well, time to get a small rest... Come on Sensei, I'll find a room for you." Hoshino smiled, before heading back inside the school building.
Sensei follows her, then Hoshino lets him reside in one of the empty rooms. She tells him that she has some extra padding and blankets, which he accepts. And with that, she leaves.
He remains standing alone, staring at the night sky through the window, witnessing many stars compared to Kivotos. Must be a lack of light pollution here...
"Sensei..."Arona's voice spoke up, appearing in his Hud. "What you told to the leader..." She recalled.
Within a flashback... Sensei's whispered words to the leader have been revealed.
"I have a certain someone who will accept refuge for you, if a higher up brings someone to finish you off. You can find him in the city district of Abydos, I'll provide you the coordinates and he will get the message." He instructed.
"They have nothing major in part of this. This Abydos situation is much different to solve." Sensei explained. "It seems there's something the students here haven't told everything about their issue."
"Well, I believe you can help them!" Arona positively replied. "You are Sensei, though maybe try opening them up? It'll be easy to let them explain and allow you to help them more. Maybe try..." She tries to suggest it.
"If you ask me to open my helmet to them, I have to respectfully refuse." Sensei insisted.
"You're a meanie Sensei!" Arona pouted, stomping her feet. "But still, you should try to be open to them." She pointed out.
"...Alright Arona." He muttered, as Arona smiled. "I'll be sending a message to the Helmet Gang." His Hud sends a message to the leader's phone. With that done, he can only say one thing, "Good night." He said to Arona.
"Good night, Sensei!" Arona beamed.
He then rests upon the floor, sitting down, leaning at the wall. Then he must be sleeping, despite his sitting position.
The night goes on...
Somewhere in a large skyscraper, a figure resides in the top office along with another one, revealing to be a robot. And something happened that caused him to slam his metallic fist on the desk.
"What do you mean, they are gone!?" He exclaimed with an angry tone.
"We... Are we giving our logistics, sir..." The robot sweat dropped. "The Kata-Kata Helmet Gang has seemingly disappeared. Last time, we saw traces of them in Abydos city." He explained.
"Grrrr... Troublesome bunch, thought they are hired goons mindlessly following some money bounty, and they just now disobey it!?" The mysterious figure grunted. "It seems we have to bring up a much more competent hire for guns... Call them." He ordered.
"Yes sir." The robot bowed and heads off, while the figure resides on his chair, placing his fingers together.
At the city district, a gang of the Helmet Gang are traveling through the streets. The leader got the message which is the location address, she and the others followed through map directions. Finally reaching their location; a bar-like building, they entered inside...
They see the room is slightly dark with some neo aesthetics decorations. This area feels mysterious yet calming with a gentle music playing in the background.
"Well..." A male voice spoke up, they turned to see someone walk down the stairs. And surprised by them, his appearance is similar to Sensei, only his armor is a bit more bulky and his helmet has some horn features. "You must be the visitors."
