Kyoko sat in the car in silence with Tsuruga, she could tell that he was upset. Was he upset at her because of the accident? It wasn't a choice on her part and he would know that so it couldn't be that. "Tsuruga?" She asked quietly, "are you okay?"

Ren was still feeling sick to his stomach, he hadn't said anything to Kyoko and just took her to the car and started driving. He had so many questions but knew she had already gone through enough for the day that she didn't need an interrogation, plus he was afraid of the answers. She had never been one to lie to him without a reason, and usually the reason was because of him. "I'm the one that should be asking you that Mogami, not the other way around." He said.

Kyoko slid further in the seat. He was angry, she could tell. "Where are we going?"

"You'll be staying at my place for the night. It would be better for you if you weren't alone after what happened." He answered still not even looking her way. He was afraid if he looked at her he would ask her everything he learned from Sho and not sure he was ready for the answers.

They remained silent for the remainder of the drive to Tsuruga's condo. Kyoko sat in the car as Ren got out, her door opened, and she saw that he held his hand out to help her get out of the car. That simple gesture put her at ease a bit, even if he was angry maybe it wasn't at her, maybe it was just the situation. Kyoko put her hand in his and could feel the warmth seep into her hand and it felt like bliss. Before she knew it she could feel tears falling from her eyes and down her cheeks. The dam had burst from all the emotions of the day and she couldn't stop the tears from falling. She felt herself being pulled by her hand out of the car and into Ren's arms which made her cry even harder.

Ren saw her fall apart as soon as she took his hand, tears falling down her cheeks, and he melted. He pulled her out of the car and gently hugged her. He felt her arms wrapped around him and she sobbed harder into his chest. It reminded him of the night her mother said that she didn't have a child on national television, but this time she knew it was Ren Tsuruga and not the fairy Corn. He put his cheek on the top of her head and just let her cry. All his anger and worry that he had been holding onto was slipping away as he held her, he just wanted her to feel safe and loved.

"I'm sorry Ren, I didn't mean to start crying" She said backing up and wiping her face clean.

"Kyoko don't be sorry; you've gone through so much. It's okay to cry." He told her, his thumb wiping away a stray tear.

Kyoko followed him to his condo, she knew the entire layout of his place but for some reason she felt out of place now. Maybe it was his silent demeanor on the drive here, or maybe it was her own fear of when he would start asking questions.

"I've called your landlords to let them know that you are okay, and that you wouldn't be home tonight. I also think Yashiro went and picked up some of your things from them." He told her moving his way to the kitchen.

"Oh! Thank you, and thank Yashiro too." She said meekly, looking down at the floor. She felt like she was a child waiting to get scolded.

"You can use the guest bedroom, and if you want you can take a shower. You know where everything is." He told her.

She could hear ice fall into a glass from the hallway. "Thank you, I – I think I'll take a shower first." She told him and put her purse on the table and shuffled to the guest room.

Ren poured the bourbon over the ice, he wanted a drink that would burn away all the mixed emotions he was feeling. Taking his drink and the bottle with him he sat on the couch taking a long drink of the amber liquid. He could hear the water running from the guest bathroom and was glad for the time alone to gather all his thoughts, as well as try to figure out how to go about asking Kyoko all the questions he wanted answers to.

He heard a vibration in front of him, it was from Kyoko's bag. He reached in and found her phone, the screen showing "Unknown Number" Ren knew that he shouldn't answer her phone, that it was rude, but with the circumstances as they were it could be someone worried about her. "Hello, you have reached Mogami's phone. He waited to for someone to answer but it was silent for a few seconds, "Hello?" he asked.

"Where is Kyoko? Why are you answering her phone?" the voice on the other side asked. He knew that voice, it was Sho and Ren could feel the anger bubbling up again.

"She is in the bath right now." Ren told him with a little satisfaction knowing Sho's imagination would run wild.

"Pfffft, whatever." Sho answered, but he was fuming knowing that Kyoko was with Ren, and who knows what happened after they left the hospital. He needed to talk to Ren anyway, he needed to rub it in his face about getting to work together and about the day. "You know you are always late when she is in danger. First with that fucking stalker, and now with this."

Ren had no clue what Sho was talking about.

"I guess she hasn't told you anything has she? She was stuck in the elevator with me, who do you think protected her from getting hurt when the cable broke? Who do you think held her until she stopped shaking?" Sho exclaimed smugly.

Ren could hear the smile in his pompous voice. But if that were true, then he was right. He is never there when Kyoko needs him, he is only there to pick up the pieces which made him feel disgusted with himself.

"And now I get to work alongside her on a daily basis." Sho continued. "Did she tell you about the script?" Sho asked but didn't want to wait for an answer. "I'm sure she did, and I'm playing Kazuki, so it's not just a walk on, it's a lead role."

Ren didn't know what to say, he was speechless, he did in fact know the script and know the role, it was the protagonist's best friend and a love interest. He also knew all the parts where the two would have to be close. Ren didn't like the script to begin with, the fact that she fell in love, or the fact that there could be on screen kissing. The image of Kyoko kissing another man even for a script made him feel uncomfortable, but the possibility she may have to kiss Fuwa completely infuriated him. His vision started turning red. He didn't want to hear any more of this arrogant asshole bragging about getting to be close to the woman he loved. Ren needed it to stop, he threw the phone against the wall and saw it shatter to the floor, as well as damaging his own apartment in the process. Ignoring the phone and the wall he grabbed the bottle on the table and filled up the glass far more than what was an appropriate serving and emptied it before filling it up again.

Sho smiled to himself, but it was quickly wiped off as soon as the realization hit him that 1. Tsuruga was in fact in love with Kyoko, and 2. Kyoko was at Tsuruga's place at this moment in a very vulnerable state. What would that jackass do to her while they were all alone? Images of the two played in his head of them being together. Ren wouldn't completely take advantage of her, would he? Sho wondered. He put his phone down on the table and put his head in his hands worried that Ren could be that type of guy. "He may play Mr. Nice Guy to the public but there is a darkness there under the surface."

"Sho? Earth to Sho?" He heard from behind, lifting his head he saw Shoko. "Oh good, I've got your attention. I just spoke to the director, apparently shooting has been rescheduled since the accident. The actress playing Haru will be off set for a few days."

That got Sho's attention, why would Kyoko need a few days off? Was she well enough to be out of the hospital?

Shoko could see the worry on his face, "Sho? What's wrong? You just went pale. Do we need to take you back to the hospital?" She asked as she kneeled in front of him to get a better look at him.

"No, I'm fine. I told you the actress that play's Haru was in the elevator with me, right?" He answered.

Shoko nodded, she wondered if anything had happened between the two while they were stuck, it wouldn't be good if the two hooked up before the start of the project.

"Well while in the elevator I learned the actress playing Haru is Kyoko. She was the one that I was stuck with." He told a shocked Shoko.

"Oh my god Sho, is she okay?" she asked genuinely worried now. Shoko really liked Kyoko, she thought she was headstrong, smart, even compassionate to a fault, and one hell of an actress.

"She is fine…" Sho started to say, but then the conversation that he just had made him think twice if she really was fine. She wouldn't be on set for a few days, would she be spending all that time at Tsuruga's place? "I'm going to go to bed, it's been a long day." Sho said getting up and walking to his room.

"Sho?" Shoko called in a small voice. It must have been truly traumatic for him even though he was playing it off like it wasn't a big deal.

Sho stopped by the door to the guest room, which he rarely used "I'm fine Shoko, just tired." he told her without looking at her and stepped into the darkness of the room.
