Ch. 19: Kakurezato part 4

The scene shifts at the waters near the island where the Hope's Peak survivors, Fenrir members and the current inhabitants are staying and hiding, and moments later, a huge naval ship is passing by, as the current time now is 21:00, and there the naval ship is assessing the island that they are looking at, and the scene zoomed closer and it is revealed that the persons manning the ship are from the Chinese Coast Guard, as the flag of People's Republic Of China is displayed and flapping, and it turns out that the CCG sneaked their way around and are looking for an area where they can create an ARTIFICIAL ISLAND so as to have basis to claim that they own this particular area and make it appear that it part of the South China Sea.

There the Chinese admiral told his men to head for the island and see if there are any people there, and confirm if that island is unmanned, so that they can information the communist Chinese government and they would start making preparations to create an artificial island here.

"Okay. You know what to do. See if this island if deserted. If there people…don't let them see you. If there are only inhabitants…kill them and bury them somewhere. We must have a suitable island to make a military base so we have basis to claim it as our own. And there we can invade Taiwan easily and make it part of China again. Understand?"

"Yes sir!"

As the naval ship docked, the Chinese Coast Guard members armed themselves and began to head towards the innermost area of the island, where they discovered that the island is already inhabited as there were several establishments like the restaurant, hostels and the such, but to their astonishment, if not bafflement, the Chinese Coast Guard members find the place seemingly abandoned, yet it looked like that the everything appeared to be tidy and organized.

Other Chinese Coast Guard members searched the place and told their fellow Chinese Coast Guard members that the entire area appeared to be deserted, and said that there doesn't appear to have any tower or any equipment that would call for help, and said that the inhabitants here appeared to have deserted this island and thus it is an ideal chance form the Chinese government to seize this island and convert it to an expansive military base.

"Good! Good! Now we have an ideal chance! This is a good opportunity! We must covet this island as soon as possible! Are you in agreement?"

"Yes sir!"

What the Chinese Coast Guard members didn't know is that the inhabitants are currently at a hidden village within this island where they are safe, and that the Chinese Coast Guard members are unaware of the impending danger that is about to head their way, and there the Chinese Coast Guard member radioed the admiral and told him of their findings, and the admiral is pleased by this and told the coast guard member to set up camp here and find anything useful.

The admiral also said that he will head back to China and inform the Chinese government about this and that he will be back to bring more equipment, which the coast guard member nodded in acknowledgement, and there the coast guard member told his fellow Chinese coast guard members about the instructions given and they nodded in agreement as they felt that they gained a propaganda victory.

However, another coast guard member is using night-vision goggles as he is checking for any possible spies, and there he noticed something and is starting to panic as he got a vague visual of what it is and realized that it is heading towards the naval ship and he alerted the admiral about what he detected, but the admiral did not believe what he is told and berated the coast guard member for making fabricated claims like what the Chinese doctor did, who tried to alert the world about the emerging COVID virus.

The coast guard member reiterated that he based it on what the night-vision goggles is showing him, saying that he detected what he believes is a GIANT BEETLE that is flying, but the admiral refused to take the claim seriously and ordered the coast guard member to go back to his room and remain there for the time being.

"You idiot! You're seeing things because you binge too much on horror Japanese anime! You'll make me a fool in front of the all-great Xing Jin-ping-pong-ball!"

However, another coast guard member came barging in and grabbed a machine gun and told the admiral that the other coast guard member is telling the truth, that a GIANT BEETLE is flying and is heading towards the naval ship and told the admiral that either he believe it or perish, as he leaves and head for the upper deck, and as the admiral is about to berate the other coast guard member, the driver drove off as he is heading for China again yet he is disturbed about the CCG members' claims about a giant beetle.

While the naval ship is now halfway away from the island, the passengers were startled when they heard gunshots, and as the admiral is annoyed at what he perceive as indiscriminate firing of weapons, a first mate came running in and told the admiral that TWO GIANT BEETLES are hovering above the ship, which the admiral is annoyed and berated the first mate for attempting to spread disinformation, but the gunshots became louder and the first mate reiterated that he is telling the truth.

"You idiot! This is what you get for watching horror anime from Japan! And you're even influenced by the Taiwanese…"

"I'm not making this up!"

"You ought to be punished for…"

"I am telling the truth!"

"Silence! No more lies! No more disinformation! No more fake news! There is only the great and powerful Communist China!"

There the admiral and the two passengers felt something struck the upper deck and there a wounded CCG member came wobbling in and told them that there are THREE GIANT BEETLES on the ship and DEVOURED four of their crewmen and said that they are about to kill the rest of the crew, which the admiral is in disbelief and still refuses to believe such OUTRAGEOUS claims.

But the first mate checked on the injured crew member and is horrified at what he saw, and told the admiral that the crew member's wounds are bite-related, meaning that he was bitten by something that's not human and said that the crew member is not lying at all.

The admiral still refuses to believe and he head towards the upper deck and there he stared wide-eyed as he sees that several crewmen are sprawled on the floor, bloodied and disemboweled while remaining crew members are using machine guns to shoot the giant beetle and managed to shoot it on the head and the giant beetle fell to the sea, but then a second giant beetle trampled the crewmen and started to bite and devour its prey, and they screamed as they are being eaten alive.

The admiral was horrified and heads back to the driver's room and told the driver to sail faster as they need to head back to mainland China and inform the government that Japan seemingly developed a WEAPON in the form of giant beetles, unaware that it doesn't belong to Japan and that Japan itself is unaware of the giant insects' existence.

Suddenly the second and third giant beetles smashed through the window glasses of the driver's room of the naval ship and dragged the three persons out and began to devour them and the admiral, driver and first mate screamed as they are being eaten alive by the giant beetles as the naval ship continue to sail though with the crew dead, there is no one piloting the ship.
