--Earlier, somewhere 89 Miles East from JFB Kolwat--
--Bird Eye-2, OH-28B Triltrolor scout aircraft,
crew: 6, tasked in gathering of information and map out--
A pretty green and clean forest, a clear and beautiful sky, birds flying and chirping around and animals hunting each other, and a machine flying above, am OH-28B Vulture, flying low close to the tips of the trees above 120 meters above ground, and it's the familiar V-280 or called the OH-28B, the Valor's reconnaissance version, used by all 3 branches of the United States Armed Forces, flying above in the speed of 560 km/h, a pretty agile speed, as expected since it's development, which includes for transportation for troops, payload with range and endurance, which caused the Valor to get some brothers and sisters, meaning other variants, which for example, it's recon version, the OH-28 Vulture, and gunship version being called the VAL-280B (Valor Attack Lift), carries a 40mm autocannon, Hydra rockets, and APKWS rockets, which is a conversion to a precision guided weapon of the Hydra-70, and then we have the AGM-114 hellfire anti-tank missiles.
The recon version of the Valor has integrated electronic systems, ECM jammers, flares and chaffs for defensive actions, and the US has over 540 of these in service in the armed forces, with over 12 OH-28 Vultures used by all three branches. Which us 4 each for the Army, USMC, and the AF, and then 20 VAL-280B (Gunship ver) used by the Army, Marines and SOCOM, and 26 normal V-280s (transport) used by the Army, Marines and Airforce, stationed at the JFB, with the 3 branches having these, which is the Army, Airforce, and Marines, and the navy is ordering a navy modified version of the Valor and Vulture, for both sea rescue and ASW/Anti-Submarine Warfare.
And inside the Vulture, is a 6 man crew, tasked to map out the nearby surroundings of the base, as well doing a bit of long range or deep recon and map outs. And the Commander of the 6 man crew, inside the Vulture, is a 1st lieutenant, a Chinese-American intelligence officer on board, named Chang, with his chosen and trusted buddies with him from the intelligence brigade on the 34th Cavalry Division, one of the three main divisions of JFB Kolwat and part of the 14th US Army Corps, and he's with his own squad, which he personally chose, and were experienced with electronics, intelligence gathering, and communications, and sharp eyes in for this recon mission.
And for how they're mapping out the surroundings, is by using an advance terrain generator technology made by NASA, and it's working pretty well on generating ground and some foliage, but a bit buggy since it has a limited range of over 240 meters since the accuracy of the generation of terrain would be inaccurate or just inaccurate or spiky and confusing, and that's for the reason why the Vulture is flying low on 120 meters.
And Chang… He's just sitting down and viewing on the screen of a computer installed on the Valor's back part inside the hull or body inside the craft, generating terrain and foliages, while two other soldiers keeps the cameras on track so it can keep copying the terrain while the rest of the crew is just keeping an eye out, keeping the comms in check, and checking the diagnostics of the computers time to time.
And for this case, the situation the base is put in is pretty bad, and hell for the crew inside the Valor worries about it. The base disappearing in the US, then being placed in an unknown location, or world as many in the base have concluded, even his own CO is obviously worrisome.

--Unknown Dirt Highway, 132 Miles East from JFB Kolwat--
--The Spear Hero's party--
On a random dirt road or highway that leads to wherever it is going, there is a random group of armed dudes or 2 dudes and 4 girls inside a horse dragged carriage and...
Oh…
It's the blonde Idiot's party, and you know who it is if you watch or read the shield hero manga or anime.
And Inside the carriage, Motoyasu was just leaning on the wooden seats of the carriage with both his hands behind the back of his head while smiling with his eyes closed, thinking or just lost about his fantasy.
Well let's not talk about it…
It could be retarded or stupidly funny…
But at least he can use it to cope from his idiocity, his ignorance, or maybe away from the harsh reality of what's happening and the choices he made. And as he imagines things in his mind.
His party consists of 4 girls. Which was Malty, and that belly dancer looking girl talking to each other by whispering, and that mage girl reading some books, and the sword girl being silent, looking at the open back of the carriage, watching the dirt road going through the green vegetations of the forest… and their driver, some dude who joined Motoyasu a few days ago, or yesterday as an additional party member, because he's good with his double axes, and he's like a berserker, and a good horse handler, and driving the horse pulled carriage towards their unknown destination since they were asked by a group of merchants about killing or getting rid of a group of Bandits that's encamped somewhere inside the forest, who's been bugging the locals and some roads.
And after a while, Motoyasu snapped back to reality by opening his eyes again, and got up from his seat to head over to their driver which he tapped on his shoulder, which made him flinch since he was too focused on the road.
"Hey" he tapped the back of the dual wielding axe dude, or the driver of the carriage.
"Y-yes Spear hero?" he responded without taking his eyes off the road, as the carriage kept going.
"Let's take stop and take a break, and we almost forgot to feed the horses" Motoyasu said and reminded, which made the driver hiss as he realized he forgot to feed the horses, even before they departed from a new village.
But he doesn't know… An V-280 or, the OH-28 is gonna pass by way above their heads.
Trrtrrrrttrrrrrtrtttrrttrrrrrrrrrrttrrr*
A faint distant chopping sound was heard, and the sound was a quick chopping, sounding like a helicopter which Motoyasu recognized, for sure he thinks there's a civilization more advanced than Melromarc but he doesn't believe it since he's in some "Magical anime world or game blah blah blah shit" but still he would since it's getting louder and louder, causing everyone in his party to get confused, and for a little while the chopping gets even more louder, which made the whole party to wonder what they were hearing… Except the driver was just too focused on the road.
"Hey! Stop the carriage!" he immediately shouted as the horses then immediately stopped on its tracks as Motoyasu quickly stepped out of the carriage and looked at the sky, looking all around confused.
"H-huh!?" the driver got startled since he was still focused on the road again as he looked back at him.
"I said stop the carriage!" Motoyasu said again that the carriage then immediately stopped which made everyone lose balance inside the carriage…
And as the carriage got put into a stop Motoyasu then immediately got off the carriage without any stop, but he stumbled as he landed on the ground but he still retained his balance, as he looked up at the sky.
TRRRRTRTRRRTRRRRRRRRTTTRRRRRRTRRRRR*
Then a sound started to get louder and louder as he heard it getting closer… And now he recognizes the sound.
"There's no way it's a helicopter I'm hearing" Motoyasu muttered as his eyes kept going all around the sky. The sound of quick chopping made him think that what he's hearing was a helicopter, and he thinks there could be a nation in this world that has modern or maybe early modern technology, or something else… and the chopping sounds similar to a lot of helicopters back from earth, and it could be either an AH-64, a V-22, an MH-6, or maybe a different helicopter.
"You guys hear that right?" Motoyasu then asked as he looked at his party members who got off the carriage and their driver having his short combat axe out, and all of them nodded.
TRRRRRKRRRRRKKRKRKRKRRRRRKRRR*
"Wha-"
"Huh!?"
The OH-28B Vulture flew above them as they felt the wind force coming from the spinning rotor blades of the Vulture and Motoyasu saw the distinct look of the object that flew over them.
"Was that... The Americans? Wait no... Blackhawks don't have wings" he muttered, he barely saw the whole thing that blew above them… But the shape and looks he saw was similar to a Black hawk but with wings and longer hull but no tail rotors, instead the main rotors are on both ends of the wings which was similar to a V-22 Osprey which he knows Japan has them too.
Everyone got back in their normal stance as Motoyasu looked at the direction of where the aircraft was going as he looked in surprise, confusion, and shock.
"There could be no way some modern stuff is here, this isn't even cyberpunk stuff…. This sounds like sci-fi?"

--Prawly's Recon squad linked up with Norvik's Recon squad on the southeast, 56 Miles away from JFB Kolwat.--
After the "small skirmish" between a US Recon Unit and some group of uniformed mediaeval clad idiots or some Melromarcian soldiers finished, Prawly and Norvik now started to walk towards a group of demi-humans villagers for some question and ask on who their leader is or their chief and who actually rules the land that they're standing on, while some of the aid soldiers from the trucks was called in for assistance immediately since one villager was injured and it was not the reckless dude, it was the reckless dude's brother who is being treated by Elijah and the other three aid dudes started distributing some food and water to those who needs it, and rendering some medical aid to other injured villagers who got shot by arrows or tripped and breaking a bone by accident, or getting stabbed.
And even though they need those food and medical supplies for everyone, their carelessness just made them go give it to the poor, or to the ones in need, and not care about themselves for a second.
"Hey guys, me and Prawly will find the chief or whoever is in charge of this village so we can gather some intel,so keep your kindness and smiles up aight?" Norvik said, and reminded his squad, to keep their happiness and kindness up for the villagers, which his squad nodded and gave thumbs up, and some 3 demi-human girls were talking, maybe thanking or flirting with Tanner and Merrick, as well asking why Cole is black, since they mostly only know about dark elves who has black or brown, or other people from the far East, or different native lands outside Melromarc, or the continent their in.
"Good thing they can speak English…" Norvik said as he looked at the girls flirting with Tanner and Merrick.
"Yeah… Well, at the village I was at recently, the locals told me English is the simple tongue, and they don't call English, English because they call it the Simple tongue, basically their universal language, just like back on earth" Prawly said as he scratched his ass while he hugs his M4 onto his chest, with its sling around his body.
"Well that makes sense though, English is easy to speak, well depending on what native language or how you would like to speak it, and not all of us are like poetic when speaking it… Well I wonder what their universal alphabet is…" Norvik said as he looked around the village to see some villagers looking at them, and some of them looking at the two squads and some aid soldiers doing their things, and they seem interested or wary about them, and since there's no signs of any human beings inside the village, but only humans with animalistic features and some Therianthropes/Furry or human that's like part animal, just like demi-humans.
Norvik is aware that there could be racism or discrimination between races, ethnicity, etc. Since he observed the village's reactions from seeing them, and their actions, a lot of them were unsettled with the vehicles that just showed their firepower, like the Bradley and 50. Cals tearing up body parts and proofing red mist and smearing small pieces of meat and blood all over the soil, as well reactions he expected for some of the demi-humans to have when they see a human, only some, not all of them are complaining or getting some random grudge or hate on them because they're humans, but being wary and defensive is understandable at least.
"Well there's some same alphabets on their writing as ours if you look at their signs, it's phonetic, and some unknown writing that doesn't seem familiar" Prawly then pointed at one of the signs at one of the buildings the village has, which there was alphabetical writings, a phonetic saying *Healing House* in the phonetic alphabet and above it was some unknown writing on top of the door entrance, which could be the translation of the english phonetic writing.
"Huh... I didn't notice that" Norvik looked at the sign, seeing both alphabets from the universal Phonetic and some unknown writing, and it's pretty convenient to see phonetic writings in english.
"And I just noticed there isn't much Phonetic stuff around the signs in this village, same goes for the village I was in before" Prawly pointed out, as he looked around a bit more, seeing some signs with unknown writings, or a bit like symbols on some of the letters, with less phonetic writings.
"So is the phonetic stuff like rarely used, or a part of a different language in this world, like for the neighbors of whatever land were standing on?" Norvik asked.
"Not language, writings… writing language whatever kind of letters or symbols are used, like in hand written stuff for a way of communication, something like that, I mean that's how we communicate through letters and words, but yeah… Maybe" Prawly explained as he placed his arms on his hips, as he took a quick yawn.
"Well, let's go find the Chief" Prawly said as he tapped Norvik's back, as both of them started walking to a group of villagers who were looking at them and murmuring and whispering to each other on their left recently.
As the group of villager were murmuring, and whispering to each other about the recent events, like about the "magic horseless carriages or creatures and black staves", as well as their unknown attire and distinctive patches that's unknown to them, some of the soldiers has like 2 or 3 patches, and for us, those 2 patches is a flag and unit patches or rank insignia, which most of them bears the 113th Infantry Division (Fictional, I made this up, and plus I'm gonna make a formation or organisation for the stationed units inside kolwat), and the 3rd was either their Brigade patch, or their own funny customized, meme, or anime patch, and their other shoulder has their rank patch.
And the 113th patch they saw was a black circle, and a white circle line inside with a light blue star in the middle, and another star behind the star which is a bit transparent.
They can see the number on top, which is a separate patch which has the 113th, and they are unfamiliar with it, and they can see the rank patches. Prawly has three chevrons, three rockers, and center diamond embroidered with yellow gold thread on green cotton, and Norvik having three chevron, and they think Prawly is the officer in command of the two squads, since the rest of the soldiers patches they saw had one or two chevron, with the exception of one soldier that has a similar but different uniform, which was pixelated, and it was the Marine assigned in Norvik's squad.
And as the two NCOs walked towards them, one of the villagers noticed both of them approaching, some of them immediately looked more worried and nervous.
"Hey! Those two humans are approaching us!" A male villager whispered to the rest, with his tone giving a hint of nervousness and maybe fear, as well as other villagers feeling what he feels, and feeling either interested in who they are.
"We can see that! What are they gonna do? Demand us or something? ask us to sleep with them? Since they…. Saved us" one of the female demi-human villagers asked the rest of her peers, and some of them was over thinking the possibilities, some are terrified to be forced to sleep with one of them, or satisfy their desires, as for the past experiences with those Melromarcian soldiers or some adventurers who did help and did favours for them.
"I don't know, but god hope not force us to" one of them said as they watched the two approach them, but when they look at them, they seem friendly, and they don't look too bad with interacting as well acting swiftly to save them and as well helping them, even though the humans they mostly meet were absolutely racist or greedy with their ambitions or other things.
Norvik then waved at the villagers and smiled and Prawly slightly smiled at them in a friendly manner.
"Uh hello… We have some questions to ask" Norvik said in a friendly tone, and the villagers were confused on how to respond or what to say to them since they approached them, some were even nervous or some had hate for them, because of their experience with other human beings in this world.
The group of villagers immediately bunched up and looked away from them and started whispering. Norvik and Prawly then raised their eyebrows in confusion about why they bunched up all together.
"They said they have questions! What do you think they might ask?" one of the villagers asked the others, to which they only shrugged or said they don't know or already guessed something bad or good.
"It could be some information they need or want to know or…. Some food or anything good we have, maybe….. " one of them guessed as all of them kept whispering to each other their thoughts.
"Or maybe worse for us. They might even-" a young and beautiful elven woman said….
"Hey! Don't say that!" he retorted.
"But most of the humans-"
"Not all of them you fool! Remember how the shield hero was a human before and helped us demi-humans and others before he died back on Siltvelt" one of the demi-humans villagers pointed out about the other kind humans they've met including the former or previous shield hero before he died back on Silvelt.
"I do! But we're not even sure what they might demand or even ask from us!" the elven girl said as her face just looks worried and scared, which gives it off as her elven ears moves down.
"You have a point… most of those stupid soldiers from Melromarc, who demanded or wanted to be rewarded with new slaves or some of the important things we limitedly have, or even one of our women here" one of the villagers agreed, as they stopped talking to each other to look at the two NCOs who was just waiting by talking to each other a bit.
"Hey… how about I do the talking" a male demi-human with the features of a fox suggested, and all of the villagers nodded in agreement.
"H-hello there green men, what are the questions you two were gonna ask good sirs?" the fox man asked as he grinned nervously at them, but at least he's got his confident self up for what he's doing.
"Hi sir… I'm Sergeant Norvik and this is 1st Sergeant, Prawly, we're looking for your leader, or chief of your village, and for the reason is that we are trying to gather some information around here" Norvik introduced himself, and stated the reasons why he asked, and as well making the villagers think Sergeant is a name.
"O-oh y-yes… our Chief is at his home… It's right beside the assembly shack" the fox man answered.
"Assembly shack… Uhh let me guess,a shack with no glass windows and a big table in the middle, and some house right besides it, the closest one? Something like that right?" Norvik guessed, thinking about what the shack looks like so he won't get confused where the assembly shack is… Well it's a shack so no one would get confused.
"Yes, something like that sir Sergeant, and the Chief's house is a little bigger than the rest of ours" the fox man said, misunderstanding his recent introduction of his, to think Sergeant is his first name.
"Ok, we thank you sir…" Norvik thanked as he just smiled at them in a friendly way.
"Oh and Sergeant is a rank, a non… A low ranking officer… Just call me Norvik sir" Norvik then corrected the Sergeant word, since they didn't say their whole names but addressed their rank first and their last names. The fox man and the rest of the villagers were quite interested with the two and their men who were doing usual aid stuff or engaging in conversation on some villagers to gather information or just to entertain themselves with a bit of socialisation with new people.
"Oh… my apologies sir Norvik" the fox man apologized as he bowed his head a bit, so he would avoid some disappointment or any debacle between him and Norvik… But Norvik seemed ok with it before he said "It's ok sir" The fox man sighed in relief after he said that, even the rest of the villagers behind him were quite worried about Norvik's response since he claimed to be an ranking officer, but since he said he's a low ranking officer of an unknown affiliation, except seeing his flag patch which the villagers are unfamiliar of, but their not gonna question it.
"Well, we'll be finding your Chief aight" Norvik said he smiled at the fox man as he and Prawly left them alone, the fox man sighed as he watched the two head to an opposite direction to look for their village Chief.
"Was that a good idea?" he asked himself… he doesn't even know them, they bear some flag patch he doesn't even recognize, nor anyone in the village does so, as well heir attire is weird, for them they seem like soldiers or maybe Mercenaries not wearing any armor instead wearing a helmet covered in cloth and a cloth vest or armor, like on his clothes, as the rest of the green clothed men with speckled colors was odd for him and the village, they already saw them in action with their guns or the rest calls black staves or wands.
But this fox guy was quite familiar with the sound about their staves, which was similar to the muskets he saw in the most powerful country called Faubrey because of their muskets and canons, and this fox man has been in Faubrey before… but the so called powerful country Faubrey he saw may have some connection with those green guys he saw, but he never saw or heard of Faubrey having guns that can shoot so many rounds and horseless carriages or contraptions as big with a turnable head and canon attached to it which can shoot more faster and blow people's limbs off.
But he thinks it could be Faubrey's new inventions or something… But the problem is what are they even doing here in Melromarcian territory, but he really doubts they're from Faubrey since they bear some patch on their shoulder and on the middle of their vests, which was the nice colored blue, red and white colored flag, the stars and the stripes, some of the flag was in black and white too… And it isn't the flag of Faubrey, and maybe it's from a rag tag or organized mercenary group with advanced magic or technological capabilities in his mind.
But he can't find out further about them since he has a family member to take care of in this village.
Onto Norvik and Prawly
"I remember seeing a shack that's like a few meters big with a big round table in the middle with some chairs right around… there" he said as both of them saw the assembly shack and a noticeable decent sized house beside it.
"Well, there it is" Prawly said as both of them started to walk towards the house beside the assembly shack.
While the two was approaching the Chief's home, they saw an old catfolk, talking to two villagers armed with short sword, seemingly the first trained militiamen in the village, and Prawly and Norvik guessed he was the chief but they're not sure if the old man is but he's the only more old looking man they only saw in the village.
"That the Chief right there?" Prawly took attention to the three outside the village chief's house as they both stopped to observe them a little for a while.
"Maybe, he looks older than the rest of the villagers we've seen… maybe yes, Maybe not, we'll see if we ask" Norvik answered as they looked at the three talking to each other, maybe discussing recent events or about them, after seeing them guns and vehicles.
"How about we ask them? We won't know if that old guy's the chief" Prawly suggested as he looked at him, as Norvik nodded as both of them started to walk towards them.
And as Norvik and Prawly started to walk towards them, the three noticed the two approaching them, and the old man seems like he doesn't sense any dangers, and the two others kind of do though as the two other Militia looking dudes raised their eyebrows in suspicion at the two.
"Brother, those humans are approaching us" a catfolk Militiaman in his middle ages asked the Chief as they looked at the two green speckled uniformed men walking towards them holding black stuff, or what they call magical staves.
"I can see that, and I'm sure they're harmless" the Chief said as he just smiled in response as he watched the two US soldiers nearing them.
"How can you be so sure? They might be like some of those adventurers or soldiers from Melromarc pretending to be kind so they can take what they desire from us and our people" the other Militiaman that looks more younger than the other Militiaman which he resembles a racoon pointed out.
"I know that… but please remember other humans who came here were kind enough to help us, as well help us gain knowledge on food and some farming for our own… " The Chief said, reminding them of some humans that were kind to them, and he has a good point. The young Militiaman sighs as he shakes his head a bit in denial.
"Now first let's see if they might ask us something" he said.
Norvik then waved at them and smiled in a friendly kind of way. And Prawly slapped the back of his neck as some mosquito or something tried sucking his blood causing him to slap his back neck and scratch it.
"Hello there, good sirs, I'm Norvik, my rank is called Sergeant, a low ranking officer, and right beside me is Sergeant Prawly, we're scout units from the US Army-uhh we're just scouts… Recon units, we're here to gather information on the surroundings, so we came here to talk with the Chief soo… I guess your the Chief right?" Norvik asked the old demi-human, who was the Chief of the small village, and he just smiled at the two.
"Yes, I am Mr. Norvik… As you said, you have questions, yes?" the Chief asked, as he kept his nice smile up, and the two militiamen were just being skeptical of the two NCOs as they analyzed them head to toe and they noticed Norvik's helmet was covered in cloth, and some parts of it aren't but colored tan, and they know it doesn't look like color painted steel and Prawly just wearing a hat with his helmet attached on the back of his vest which was different from Norvik's since Prawly still uses the ACH. And they both saw their armor or vests were just cloth for them, but with multiple cloth pouches or boxes, and both their vests have their pouches in different position on their IOTV's, like Prawly having his large Utility Pouch or maybe medical pouch on the middle bottom part of his IOTV and the PALS straps carrying 3 glows ticks, and beside both sides of it has a mag pouch that can fit two M4 mags, and he's not wearing any backpack but a hydration back, and Norvik has a lap protector, and four mag pouches on the front middle bottom above the lap protector, and behind his back was a Camelbak hydration pack that has MOLLE and PALS straps on it.
While they're unfamiliar with their looks and equipment, they're just weirded out by the amount of pouches attached to them, as well even seeing some on the side of their hips on their belts since their belts had pistol pouches or other utility pouches.
"Yes sir we do" Norvik said as the Chief nodded in acknowledgement, and the two Militiamen just glaring at them in skeptism.
"Ok, then let us enter my home and discuss those questions you two have in mind" the Chief said, offering some entry for his house, and maybe hospitality for the two. But Prawly and Norvik, is trying to be wary about anything, since Norvik read fantasy stuff, he might think of this as something bad or good since there could be actual hate between humans and demi-humans, and these demi-humans might scheme something, but these are villagers… surely they're not a village who are a bunch of cultist or not, or brainwashed with propaganda….. right?
"Yeah sure, thank you…. siiirr…" he accepted his offer as Norvik paused for a second to maybe figure out his name without asking.
"Chief Ikan Sir Norvik" the Chief said his name, as he just warmly smiles at them as he extends his hand towards the door of his house as he presents or points at the door.
"Mr. Ikan… yes, uh… thank you for the offer sir" Norvik thanked, and with a smile as Chief Ilan opened the door of his house and entered, and he held the door for the two NCOs to enter, as Norvik and Prawly nodded in response without saying a word.
"I'm kinda worried man, you just immediately accepted his offer, when we don't know these guys might pull something out of their sleeves, even if they're villagers" Prawly whispered to Norvik as they entered the Chief's house, saying he's worried, and off course he is since they're in another world, where magic exist, no guns, and the soldiers they got into a skirmish with sounds misguided or corrupt bunch of soldiers from a government. It could be either some town or city, or maybe from an empire or kingdom… or whatever the fuck, could be mercs too, an organized one… Maybe.
"I know man, but for me these villagers don't look like they would do something bad, I mean they don't sound misguided or something" Norvik said, still Prawly may need to doubt that, or he is already doubting it, since some of the villagers were eyeing their asses in suspicion, or maybe in hate. And since they're in another world, of course there would be differences, and biases on culture and ideologies on other people, and in a fantasy world with medieval stuff, then there would be corruption, cultic groups, and etc. There would be a lot of dangers in this kind of world, no matter where they are.
"And if we get stabbed in the back or have our throats slit by these guys, that would be your fault" Prawly said, warning his ass about the possible consequences. Well… maybe not get stabbed, maybe start gargling on your own blood or your internal organs getting destroyed because you got poisoned.
"I know Prawly, but it's kind of embarrassing since the Chief looks like my Grandpa back at Norway" Norvik said, mentioning his grandfather.
"He does? Wait, Norway?" Prawly asked, as well questioning him mentioning Norway. Well, Prawly knows Norvik as a decent friend, he only knows about his experience back in Syria, but he never mentions any family members, and James's last name, Norvik, sounds like that village on Norway called Nordvik.
"I'll explain about it later, after this off course" he whispered back, as both of them stood at the entrance with the 2 militiamen and the chief entering last.
"Come, both of you" he said, as he raised his hand towards a room which is where the dining room and kitchen of the house, where they can see a woman somewhere in her late twenties cleaning dishes alongside a female kid doing the same, resembling the same black hair, tail and ear color mixed with a little white, and both of them looked at the two new human guests and faces in interest, and a little fear, while the Chief leads them to the dining table which was 3 meters wide, on both sides, with over 6 tables around it, as the Chief took a seat, on the opposite way of the kitchen.
"Sit down" he offered, as Norvik and Prawly looked at each other for a brief moment as they took a seat.
"Thank you sir" Norvik thanked, as both him and Prawly smiled at the Chief form his, kindest sounding like, as well being a bit wary, even Norvik turned around to see the two militiamen behind them, with the youngest one staring at the floor while scratching his neck, and the older on leaning on the support pillar while staring at them, with his other cat ear perking up to them.
And the Chief then turned around to face the young woman.
"Ina, give these men some bread and fruits, as well some of the tea my brother brought back" he said to her, as well as mentioning her name, Ina, and it sounds like his daughter, and the kid besides his daughter recently might be her daughter.
"Yes father" she nodded, as she then headed off to her left, to enter a doorway, and the kid continued the cleaning of the dishes.
"You got a nice house Mr Ikan" Norvik complemented the looks of the Chief's home, Norvik and Prawly seemed fascinated at the Chief's home interior, and this is their first time being inside a medieval house… But for some Nobles from other kingdoms, or Melromarc, they would just think the home is rubbish or dirty… but some of those who had a similar life before would be fine with the home. But the Chief noticed the fascinated tone and face about his home, and he wasn't expecting that from a so-called low ranking officer, normally he thought the low ranking officer is just like the high ranking ones he hears like Captains.
"By the way, sir… That your kid there recently" Norvik asked about the cat girl who was gonna get them food and tea, and the Militiaman leaning on the pillar had his ear twitch, and eyeing Norvik, listening, and waiting to what he might say, and Chief Ikan, who had his eyebrows perked up a little.
"Yes she is, why do you ask?" The Chief asked, and the older militiamen looked at him in suspicion behind Norvik, and the young racoon guy then snapped his head to Norvik and Prawly with one of his aye rows perked up.
"Cool… She must be nice to have around, since you're getting old right?" Norvik asked, with his tone giving the hint of interest, but not the lustful interest, and the Chief doesn't feel that.
"Indeed she is… " Ikan responded, and Norvik, Prawly and Chief Ikan just smiled to each other, and it's quite awkward.
And the Chief's daughter then came back, with a basket of fruits filled with apples, berries, and bread, as she approached the table.
"Here" she said as she laid the basket of some fruits and bread on the table.
"Thank you Ina" the Chief thanked his daughter as he smiled and Ina slightly nodded and smiled lightly, as she returned to her daughter to help with the dishes.
"Eat up with some of our fresh fruits" Ikan said, as he raised and opened his hands and presented the apples, berries and bread.
"Thank you sir" Prawly thanked as he grabbed a red apple from the basket, and smelled it for a second till deciding to take a bite, almost immediately
"Shall we start with your questions now?" Ikan asked.
"Yeah, let's start" Norvik said as he smiled at him, while Prawly was munching on the apple he grabbed from the basket, and Ikan waited for their questions.
"Do you know who rules these lands, like what territory we are standing on?" Norvik asked, and the chief raised an eyebrow with his question. And when he he saw their patches, the flag with red, blue and white stripes, as well the black circle with a blue star, the 113th, and since he was unfamiliar with the patches, he now had an idea that they're not from around these lands, probably came from the coast, but how does Melromarc doesn't know about this? Or any of the neighboring kingdoms? Well he doesn't know. But what interests him is their intentions, as well with their vehicles, or he would call an iron/metal carriages, and on how it moves without any horses, as well it's rotating boxy looking thing on top of the Bradley's hull, and the sticks he can see on the top of their metal horseless carriages.
And when he said that, the two Militiamen looked at Norvik in confusion behind his back.
"Uh… May I ask, are you and your men not from around here? Since you mentioned, the yu ess… " the Chief asked instead, and Norvik smiled in a weird way.
"Well… It's kind of difficult to explain, and you would think it's ridiculous" he said.
"I'm all ears, Mr Norvik…" the chief said, as he clasped his hands on the table as he looked at him.
"Ok" he slowly exhaled, and sighed as he and Prawly looked at each other, as if Norvik was asking how to explain it to the Chief, but with Prawly busy eating, and not knowing how too, but he just shrugs, causing Norvik to sigh.
He then looked at the Chief, seeing him with his eyebrows raised, with his mouth still giving out that friendly smirk.
"Well… We're from another world, sir…" Norvik said, which Chief Ikan's face changed into confusion, with only his left eyebrow raised and the other one down, the the two other Militiamen looked at the two in confusion, and Ikan's daughter who looked at them for a brief second for hearing what Norvik said.
The two Militiamen looks like they were about to call him crazy or something, but instead they didn't, since it would dumb for them if they immediately start calling them crazy, without knowing nay more context of what he means, but still saying another world could mean another continent or large islands somewhere far outside the main world continent.
"Sorry… But can you repeat that?" Chief Ikan asked for a repeat, as he leaned back on the chair he was sitting on as his clasped hands separated on the table.
"We're from another world sir, as I said recently, it would sound ridiculous, or just stupid, but if you allow me to explain, you would get some more insight about what I said" He repeated, and explained the some of reasons why they would think that, as well suggesting to hear him out.
And since Ikan is the chief as always, a leader of his small village, he isn't like how the leaders are who are either ignorant and stupid enough to not hear people out with their explanation, which listening to others opinion is one of the things a leader needs to always do, to have an idea, or a proper understanding of others opinion or beliefs, but the words he heard from Norvik just baffles him, and yes he was right, it sounded ridiculous, but maybe not for now… Since just like a few weeks ago, the cardinal heroes were summoned, and they were from a different world.
But in Ikan's mind, were they summoned along with the legendary heroes by accident at the summoning?
Well he's gonna need to confirm this first, before jumping to conclusions.
"Well, Mr. Norvik, I am willing to listen to your explanation with your claims… " Ikan said, he was willing to listen, as long as he understood his explanation later on.
"Thank you sir…" Norvik thanked, as he moved a bit from his seat to get his ass comfortable, and placed his hands on the table, as he leaned a bit forward.
"Well just braise yourself, this is gonna be very confusing, ridiculous, or maybe long"
