I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, things take a turn as the Hope's Peak Academy survivors managed to earn the trust of a hospice caretaker…and now the Hope's Peak Academy survivors would have to find a way to help as they need to get an emergency blood pack from a nearby blood bank…

Ch. 75: Kōrei-sha mondai part 9

At the streets…

Chabashira and Ohgami are currently digging a hole that is the size of a normal-sized coffin, and the two girls took turns in digging a hole as they need to keep an eye out to see if there are any approaching zombies so that in the event that there is a horde nearby the two Hope's Peak Academy survivors could have time to head back to the hospice and warn the others about it.

As Chabashira manage to dig a deeper hole Ohgami took her turn to continue digging to allow Chabashira to rest a bit and recover her stamina, and there she wondered what is happening at the hospice at the moment and there Ohgami said that the rest are helping the remaining caregiver help in assisting the bedridden elderly people.

Moreover Ohgami said that with Kirigiri and Fuyuhiko directing instructions the boys are busy that they have no time lazing around, which Chabashira is forced to acknowledge this even though she is sure that the boys are taking advantage of this while she and Ohgami are doing the MANUAL LABOR.

"…and that's how the boys are doing at the moment…"

"You serious, Ohgami? You believe that those boys are working? I'm sure that they are making the girls do the work while the boys are lazing off!"

"No they are not."

"How so?"

"The caretaker is giving directions…and Kirigiri is in charge…so you have nothing to worry about."

"Really…?"

"Yes, really,. Chabashira."

"…"

Suddenly the two girls saw the caregiver running towards an opposite direction and with him are Naegi, Maizono, Akamatsu, Saihara and Ikusaba, and there Ohgami wondered what is going on, and there Chabashira contacted Akamatsu and asked her what is going on, and there she stared wide-eyed as Akamatsu explained that they are going towards the nearest blood bank to get some emergency blood bags as one of the elderly people is in need of an emergency blood transfusion and there Akamatsu began explaining the situation to Chabashira.

-FLASHBACK-

Several minutes ago…

Saihara, Akamatsu and Makoto stared wide-eyed and they grappled onto Aoi and urged her to calm down and assured to her that Iruma's comments are not serious and urged her to let go as they need Iruma's talents to help them survive the current crisis. They told her that if anything were to happen to Iruma everyone would be in trouble.

However Aoi was TOO ENRAGED to listen to reason as she is still pissed off at Iruma's naughty comments and she still strangles the SHSL Inventor whilst the latter COMICALLY screams for help from her fellow survivors.

"RRRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"GGGGGGAAAAAHHHHHKKKK!"

"RRRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"GGGGGGAAAAAHHHHHKKKK!"

"RRRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"GGGGGGAAAAAHHHHHKKKK!"

"RRRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGHHHH!"

"GGGGGGAAAAAHHHHHKKKK!"

By then the caretaker of the hospice came and there the survivors saw him, which they promptly ceased their actions and realized that the commotion may have caused a disturbance and they all apologized to the caretaker, feeling ashamed of what they did.

"We're sorry…"

The caretaker assured to them that it is alright and he began to explain the reason why he came to them just now, as he asked for their help as he tells them that one of the bedridden senior citizens is in need of a blood transfusion, which surprised the Hope's Peak Academy survivors upon hearing the word BLOOD TRANSFUSION.

"Huh? Blood transfusion?"

"What? Seriously?"

"No way…"

"At a time like this?"

"…"

"Just great…"

"Where do we get a blood pack?"

"And which blood bank…?"

The caregiver told them where the nearest blood bank is, which Fuyuhiko stared wide-eyed as he realized that there's the risk of running into a gauntlet of zombies and there he asked the caregiver if he is serious about the blood bank's location which the caregiver reluctantly nodded in acknowledgement and said that there are no other blood banks anywhere other than what he mentioned just now.

"Are you damn serious?"

"Well…yes…?"

"That's quite far from here…!"

"Sorry…but that's the nearest place…"

"But what what about the zombies?"

"Uh…"

"Are there any other…?"

"Sorry, but…"

Kirigiri stepped forward and calmed Fuyuhiko down as she suggested that only a select few would accompany the caregiver in getting the blood from the blood bank and there Naegi, Maizono, Akamatsu, Saihara and Ikusaba stepped forward and volunteered to go with the caregiver, and said that they are willing to take the risks, which the caregiver is moved by their willingness to help.

Kirigiri nodded and told her fellow survivors to be careful and avoid going forward of the odds are against them, which they all nodded in acknowledgement.

"Okay."

And the rest is history.

-END FLASHBACK-

Ohgami listened on as as Chabashira demanded an explanation from Akamatsu on why Naegi and Saihara are with her, stating that the two boys might TRY SOMETHING FUNNY AND PERVERTED but Akamatsu assured to Chabashira that nothing bad would happen as Maizono and Ikusaba are with her and there they are going to get the bag of blood from the blood bank and nothing more.

As the call ended Chabashira was in disbelief yet Ohgami assured to her that Akamatsu will be okay as the caregiver is with them and that the two boys are serious-minded and would not do anything foolish, which Chabashira was flabbergasted and was unable to come up with a rebuttal.

"Are you DAMN SERIOUS?"

"Yes."

"BUT…"

"Do not worry. Your friend will be fine."

"BUT…"

"Ikusaba and Maizono are with her, so…"

"BUT…"

"Please calm down."

Ohgami then told Chabashira that they need to finish burying the senior citizen and the SHSL Aikido Master reluctantly nodded and went on to finish digging and there they put on the corpse onto the grave before pouring the soil back in and proceeded to bury the body to ensure that the zombies would not come here and feast on the body

About 20 minutes later the scene shows that the caregiver, Naegi, Maizono, Ikusaba, Saihara and Akamatsu are approaching the blood bank though they had to navigate their way around they had to avoid coming into the gauntlet of zombies as the caregiver and the five Hope's Peak Academy survivors passed several blocks and had to hide themselves from plain view until they managed to sneak inside the blood bank before barricading the doors and the windows.

Saihara asked the caregiver if he has been here before, which the latter nodded and said that he somewhat know his way around here as he frequently come here before the zombie pandemic struck, and there he noted that the building's electricity is still running despite being abandoned for several days.

"Oh good. The electricity is still running."

"You're right."

"At least we won't have to worry…"

"Hopefully."

"Well…now that we're here…"

"Yeah…so we better get inside and get what we need."

"Right."

"Good."

Ikusaba then told the others that they better find the packs of blood immediately, reasoning that they'll be facing some problems if the zombies manage to come here and thus impeding the chances of escaping back to the hospice, which the others nodded in agreement.

"Okay."

There the six persons went around until the caregiver found the refrigerator and upon opening it he is relieved to see that the refrigerator is functioning well and the blood packs are cool and fresh, and there he opened the backpack to put the packs inside as he took the ones whose blood types matches the ones belonging to the bedridden senior citizens staying at the hospice.

Suddenly Chabashira and Ohgami came and both were sweating and panting, surprising Akamatsu and she asked the two what brought them here, in which Ohgami revealed that after burying the body they are about to head back to the hospice when they saw a huge horde of zombies convening, and there they thought of heading here after secretly following the GPS signal of Akamatsu's cellphone.

Akamatsu was shocked at hearing this and asked Ohgami for confirmation and the SHSL Fighter grimly nodded in acknowledgement, saying that they now have to find an alternative route to head back to the hospice, which the others are dismayed by the sudden bad news.

"I'm sorry…but that's the current situation."

"No way…"

Naegi clenched his fists as he did not like the sudden news and there Maizono hugged him but he assured to her that everything will be fine and urged her to stay calm and collected.

"Its okay, Maizono."

"But…"

"Everything will be okay."

"But…"

"We'll make it back."

"But…"

"Trust me on this."

"But…"

Ikusaba gritted her teeth as she realized that she should have brought more ammo as she didn't anticipate such a problem and there she told the rest that they better get going before the zombies make their way here, which the others nodded in acknowledgement.

"Okay."

Hope you liked this chapter, as tension threatened to explode inside the blood bank upon hearing from Chabashira and Ohgami that zombies are nearing the place and the survivors must find a way to escape or risk turning into zombie chow for the zombies.
