Chapter 29: The Ninjala Tournament Preliminary Stage! (Part 4)
On Thursday...
"Finally...it's my time to shine." Ryotarou can see that he's competing in Block 16.
"So what will you do?" Draco asked.
"Please, I need a moment of silence." Ryotarou took out a scrying bowl and poured water on it from his water bottle. He placed the scrying bowl on the floor and sat before it. Taking out his ritual fan, he closed his eyes and began his meditation. 5 seconds later, he took out some cherry blossom petals and tossed them in the air and as all observed, one landed in the bowl as he continued his meditation for 15 more seconds even chanting to himself quietly during these seconds. After that, he's done.
"So...what did your fortunetelling say?" Kanisuke asked.
"Fate...yes...it has told me that I will win this with flawless victory!" Ryotarou declared as he stood up. "Leave me. I need my time alone to work on my inner peace."
All watched as their class rep left the classroom. "The only thing he should be concerned is that he needs to present on time for his block." said Draco.
"Agreed." said Davian as they looked at the matches.
Preliminaries...
In Block 13, Harry and Declan were having fun defeating some opponents for the first 2 minutes until a student from Class 1-K spawned an eyeball that fired a laser beam at Harry hitting him out and it rammed Declan out without a scratch. Yeah, he won it.
In Block 14, Anais chained and shocked 3 students in one go. She then swung around and eliminated 2 more. But then, she was ambushed by a female student who summoned a Phantom scaring her as the phantom screamed a terrifying wail causing her to pass out and thus, she's eliminated. For the student and her phantom, they won the battle.
And in Block 15, Bull and Kolton were doing great but got overpowered by a student who morphed into a Griffin and thwacked them out. After a while, the griffin won the block.
Finally...
"Block 16 is the last block for today and let's get this roughhouse started!" Coach Spruce announced as all 15 participants are in their respective starting points.
"First, we have genius with an infinite amount of data in his archive, Jeong of Class 1-A!" Upon introduction, he nodded to himself.
"Ooh. The Ninja Fortuneteller is even here! Fate is on his side and the future is always bright on his side. Ryotarou of Class 1-B!"
Upon introduction, he whipped out his ritual fan, opened it and smiled craftily.
"Heh. He thinks he can predict the future. Wait till we knock him out first! That's how I can predict his future!" A male student from Class 1-F stated with a lot agreeing with him.
As for Ryotarou, "If you're watching the match Kappei, you'll witness the terror of my awakened power! I'll even end this fight in less than a minute to the point that this chapter will be short!" He thought as it's about to begin. "Oh yes. I am not breaking the 4th wall on this one." (You kidding me?!)
"Ninjas! Draw your blades!" Coach Spruce ordered as they complied.
"Wait a minute...only Ryotarou brought something with him...his ritual fan..." Jeong observed.
"Ready...BATTLE!"
Wasting no time, Jeong opened his webpage with his glowing eyes and tapped onto a file. "Data received. Commence defensive stance!" Swift closure and, "TING!"
"Dude...you can't win with that power of yours!" A male student from Class 1-J told him as they locked their Iaitos onto each other.
"Being smart is a power. And I foresaw your first move! Thanks to the data I studied, you're the first to go!" Jeong pushed him back, head bashed him and dropkicked him onto the metal fence wall as he crashed through it and is out.
In class, "Heh. Jeong sure can stay fit." Marcel stated.
"He really grows in strength and knowledge. That's our genius." said Colette.
Back there, most of the students charged to fight Ryotarou as he smirked at their approach. "You're all like moths drawn to a flame. For I am the flame which will burn away your chances of besting me!"
"You big mouth! You're so delusional that you're making this too easy for me!" A student from Class 1-E called out as he energized his fist and delivered a jab but suddenly, "VMMM..."
"What? My energized punch went straight through him?!" He looked confused as Ryotarou strafed to his left while smirking. He then used his ritual fan pointing at him and suddenly, he was lifted up. "What the heck..."
Ryotarou then threw him onto 2 students and they crashed. "KSH!"
"Oh my...you were right. You're making this too easy for me!" Ryotarou taunted as he made his move now. First, he created a visible star as he drew out the lines. Next, he sent the star up and once above him, it went through him and touched the ground forming a large, magical pentacle with him in the centre.
"The real battle begins now! Behold...the power of my Divine Magic!" Ryotarou declared and suddenly, he got serious with his Iaito and ritual fan ready. He force push 2 students sending them crashing onto a big rock obstacle, he levitated 2 small rocks and sent them tossing onto another 2 and finally, he began floating in the air and raised his fan up.
The 12 students then found themselves floating as, "Bye, bye. Have a nice crash landing!" He then sent all 12 students hurling them onto the field and out of the arena.
"What magic! Ryotarou is a force to be reckoned with! Has his fortune been told about his expected and fated victory in this one!? I'm so hyped to observe his moves!" Coach Spruce cheered and commentated.
Noticing this, Jeong took action and opened his webpage but, "BZZZK! BZZZK!"
"Hey...I can't access the data! How can this happen?!"
"Because I blocked it with my magic!" Ryotarou floated towards Jeong and his fan is pointed out at him.
"Impossible! He's jamming my data and cutting off the connection between my power and myself!" Jeong closed it and, "Guess I'll have to confront him head on!" He jumped up and delivered a direct slash but he ended up scratching something...invisible.
"I also created a shield around myself to negate all damage." Ryotarou revealed and suddenly, he touched ground, charged at lightning speed and struck Jeong with his Iaito as he crashed onto the arena floor.
"You are wise enough not to confront me head in the first minute of the battle. I'll give you that and therefore, I'll also give you a quick defeat!" Ryotarou pointed his fan at Jeong as he stood up and charged but a powerful magic force was pushed out from the fan and onto on him. Feeling the impact, "I've lost this fight..." Jeong thought and was pushed out of the arena defeated.
"It didn't even take a minute and because of that, Ryotarou has taken the victory with a clean and magical sweep! Extreme caution is advised if anyone dares to battle him!" Coach Spruce announced as Ryotarou closed his fan with a confident smile. "Soon...Kappei and I will settle this..."
As for Class 1-B, they're all cheering their loudest in class knowing that their class rep has what it takes to win the tournament.
At the same time...
"So this is Ryotarou's awakened power..." Kappei observed.
"That's a lot of magic..." said Vega.
"But...what kind of magic is this?" Emma asked.
"I've got a feeling that his power is on a different level besides being ranked legendary." said Cruz.
"Yeah...but from what I've seen, he's isn't using his full power." Kappei observed. "He's conserving all of it...

"On me." Kappei can feel a chill down his spine. The 'fated' battle between him and Ryotarou is near...
There you have it. Ryotarou's Legendary-Ranked Awakened Power. This is why he's the Class Representative and he is not to be underestimated. And to think he predicted that this chapter will be short. Seriously...
Nevertheless, the fated battle that he predicted regarding himself and Kappei is bound to happen in the next few chapters.

A student of Class 1-B, Kanisuke is sly and sneaky enough to scout and spy on anything to provide vital info for his class. He's friends with Tobias thus being a duo and acting as Ryotarou's bodyguards and being part of his inner circle. He enjoys going to the beaches to take pictures of crabs and his favourite food is chili crab.
Awakened Power: Crab Claws
Kanisuke's awakened power allows him to transform his hands into crab claws. They can hammer smash many objects and swat aside his foes. They also have a powerful grip enough to block melee attacks and snap melee weapons into half easily like ribbons. The pincers are also hardened enough to block energy attacks.
