Toby was breathing hard as he finally got on top of the roof. He smiled seeing he was just a few steps away from the door to his desire. Pulling out his keys he flipped to the key and stuck it into the door. A quick twist of his wrist and the bolt of the lock was pulled back into the door. As the knob turned he had some second thoughts about what he was doing, but then his shoulder tightened with his bicep and the door was pulled open. Slipping inside he closed it gently before locking it back. He moved down the steps quietly. Toby could see the laptop he needed over in Walter's main experiment area.

It only took a few moments and he was in the chair in front of it. Smiling Toby pushed on the mouse pad of the laptop and the computer came back up. First he turned off the wifi so he could do everything locally and only rely on what the laptop had saved to the hard drive.

"Now, I'm going to learn the secrets you won't share." Toby grinned.

He checked recent documents first to see what had been opened.

"Drew Baker? Who the hell is Drew Baker? And a William Helmsley? This is really odd and here is Bobby Dankworth? Why was Walter searching these names? Well the only way to find out is to pull up the files." Toby clicked on the file titled Drew Baker.

"Please enter your passcode." The computer message popped up on the screen.

"Damn it, of course Walter has the file password protected." Toby scratched his head as he tried to think about how to circumvent the system.

He tried to bring up the system command prompt to run a root command.

"Please enter your passcode." The system prompted him again.

"Damn it you tricky bastard." Toby complained.

"Oh, here is a video file and it's named Paige_Dineen. Now is it encoded too?" Toby grinned as he clicked on it. The player's splash screen pulled up and he saw the icon spinning as it loaded the program and the video. He watched as the spinning finally stopped but the video didn't load. "What the hell?" He right clicked on the icon and selected properties. He looked over the information and realized that the video had been converted into some kind of hexadecimal encryption.

"Damn that cagey bastard." Toby complained and then clicked the icon tab. Under the tab he saw three different images to be displayed. One was a generic video file, then a graphic of HxD and finally a small profile of a woman's head. It could have been Paige but the resolution was so small, it wasn't too reliable. Toby thought maybe the Hexadecimal program would have an option to convert it back to video so he tried launching it using the Hexadecimal program.

"Please enter your passcode." Toby read and he really wanted to cuss. Toby's eyes opened as he had another thought and turned the wifi back on. He pulled out his phone and looked at the wifi network and saw Walter's system listed. He grinned as he connected to the system through his file portal. He long clicked the file name and then told the system to copy it to his phone. He smiled watching the file transfer.

"Take that 197." Toby grinned. "I'm going to see just what Paige is up to." Toby's eyebrows batted up and down.

About halfway through the transfer he saw a graphic of a mouse appear on the screen and it ran along the bottom of his phone. Toby's eyes went wide as he realized what it was.

"What the hell are you doing up here?" Happy demanded from Toby.

Toby was so shocked he froze as he looked at her and then remembered his phone. He pressed and held the power button on his phone and just before the screen went black he saw a splatter of red graphics and he sighed.

"Nothing." Toby's head hung down for a moment before he slipped his phone into his pocket.

"Nothing huh? Snooping on Walter's laptop? I wondered where you disappeared too. Did you climb up the fire escape? Give me one good reason I shouldn't throw you over the rail of the Loft." Happy said as she shoved his shoulder. "How would you like someone getting into your business? This is bull shit Toby."

Toby nodded.

"Happy, I'm a psychologist, I see all these markers and body language and it adds up to potential trouble. I know you guys don't put much stock into my skills, but something funny is going on and it worries me." Toby said as he stood.

"Walter doesn't cozy up to anyone like he is doing to Paige. Doesn't that concern you?" Toby asked.

Happy was standing there with her hands on her hips just watching and listening to him.

"Toby, why can't you see that you are just mixing this up with your gambling? That's all this is besides your wanton need to know things you have no right to know unless they are shared with you. Has Paige done one thing that is suspicious?" Happy asked as her hand came up and smacked Toby's right shoulder.

"It isn't if she has done something in front of us, what if she did something behind us? Remember Collins? Remember all the crazy he unleashed behind Walter's back? Usually at us…do you want to go through something like that again?" Toby asked.

"You know I don't, but there is nothing about Paige that could be even remotely like Collins." Happy told him.

"How do we know? What if all these homemade apple pie smiles are purely decorative? She's too sweet, she's completely got Walter under her thumb right now. He completely threatened me, you, Sly…all of us, if we don't like her being here we can leave." Toby told her.

"That's right, if we don't like it. He didn't throw any of us out. He set his boundary on the topic is all. You're just more used to getting away with BS with him and you hate the fact that he made this a hardline. Can't you see how much good she's doing for him? He's evolved since meeting her a few days ago. What have you done for him in all the years you've known him? Besides, give him indigestion, that is." Happy demanded from Toby.

"I can't make any of you see what I see, can I?" Toby said, throwing his arms out. "Who is Drew Baker, William Helmsley and Bobby Dankworth?" Toby asked.

Happy shrugged.

"Exactly, but Walter pulled up a bunch of research on each of them." Toby pointed to the laptop. "All after he searched for and about Paige the other day. And he did all of this last night. Now, doesn't that tell you something? That Walter is concerned about these guys in some way?" Toby asked.

Happy stood staring at him for a moment as she thought about it.

"Okay, for the sake of argument, let's say I agree. What you are doing is still wrong, period. No matter what concerns he might have over these people this doesn't involve you. If Walter needed more brain power on the subject he would involve us. He hasn't so he doesn't. I'd rather keep my friend as my friend than to alienate him enough to cause him to fire me." Happy explained.

"Would you at least support me in asking him to level with us?" Toby asked.

"No." Happy told him quickly. "Walter might be egotistical but he knows when he needs help. He isn't afraid to come to me if he needs it."

"I'm telling you, these three names have the potential of being big problems for our Cyclone." Toby told her as he shut down and closed the laptop.

Happy shook her head and grabbed his hand and pulled him along. They walked through the Loft to the stairs and walked down them slowly.

"Don't do this again or I'll tell Walter." Happy whispered before walking over to her work area.

"Hey Sly." Toby said as he stepped over to his desk.

"What's up?" Sylvester turned from his theory board.

"I got a virus on my phone, can you do the magic you do and replace the OS for me?" Toby asked.

"Of course." Sylvester grinned and reached out for the phone.

"Thanks buddy." Toby told him and walked over and sat down at his desk.

Just after 6 pm Happy and Ralph heard the overhead door at the back of the Garage open. They both got up and walked back just in time to see Paige drive her car into the Garage. Walter closed and locked the door after she got the car in. Sylvester joined them a moment later.

"Any problems?" Happy asked and Walter shook his head.

"How about you two?" Paige asked as she got out of her car.

Ralph ran over to see if they had his game system and the TV.

"Naw, the kid was pretty mindful. If all kids were like him, I wouldn't mind having one of my own." Happy grinned.

"You have no idea what it took to get him to this point." Paige laughed. "The biggest help was meeting Walter."

"Don't sell yourself short Mom." Ralph told her.

"Is Toby still here?" Walter asked.

Happy nodded but jerked her head off to the side.

"Hey, you guys back?" Cabe said as he moved over from the restroom.

"I'll be just a moment." Walter told Paige and walked over with Happy.

"Hey, speaking of numbnuts, his curiosity got the best of him and he went spying." Happy told him.

Walter nodded as he showed her his phone and the video footage his laptop captured and sent to him.

Happy nodded as she sighed.

"Walt, I'm not really trying to defend him, but he really is trying to act in the best interest of our Cyclone. How he went about it was totally off base, but he's got a few good points. If you tell me it is all good, I believe you." Happy told him quietly.

"Happy, I realize I might be acting a little differently. Maybe a little more EQ, but I assure you I am me and Paige has done nothing wrong. As for the names he dug up, there is nothing for our Cyclone to worry over at this time. They are just people a private client had questions over." Walter told her.

"Good enough for me." Happy said as she turned to help grab some of the items they brought back with them.

"We brought back some Papa Carpini's if anyone is interested." Paige told them as they all began working to get the items out of the car.

"Alright, I love their breadsticks. Would be happy just eating them." Cabe grinned.

"Got six orders of them, figured that should satisfy everyone." Paige smiled as she got the food bags out.

Walter walked over to where Toby was sitting on the couch reading and stood there staring.

"I suppose Happy told you what I did?" Toby asked as he looked over the edge of the book he had.

Walter sat the box of items he carried down and pulled his phone out and showed him the video.

Toby sighed as he slightly nodded his head.

"Guess I should have realized you'd have it set to do something like that. But come on Walt, you know you are torturing me with what you are doing." Toby whined.

"No, I am not torturing you. You are torturing yourself while ticking me off, trying to get information you don't have any right to. What is the exact nature of your malfunction?" Walter demanded.

"Walt, I'm sure you heard everything I said, you know what it is." Toby told him.

"This?" Walter pointed to the video playing on his phone. "This is your rationalization for what you are doing. It has nothing to do with why." Walter told him.

"Don't you remember Collins? All of us are concerned." Toby said as he stood up.

"All of us as in you, because no one else is concerned over Paige. Collins is just your reason right now. Paige has done nothing to warrant your actions or suspicion." Walter told him. "The names you are worried about are for a private client."

"Look how you've changed in the short time you've known her. And you think that isn't concerning?" Toby asked.

"How is my becoming more in tune with someone else emotionally a bad thing Toby? All you need to know is that Paige had a rough spell in her life. Since then she's given birth to a brilliant child and done her best to see to his development and well being. She's done nothing but try to live a good life. Which is a hell of a lot more than I can say for you. You haven't tried to improve your life, you're still gambling, even after I saved your life from that lifestyle. You alienate me and the others instead of legitimately trying to help us or yourself recover from our own bad childhoods." Walter told him.

Toby nodded that Walter was right.

Walter stared at him for a moment before he picked up the box he had carried in and turned away. He saw Paige standing at the bottom of the steps smiling at him and that smile sent a wave of warmth through him.

Walter paused as he reached the bottom of the steps with Paige. He could see the tears in her eyes and she stretched up and kissed Walter tenderly.

"We brought back food if you are hungry Toby." Paige said as she turned with Walter and they walked up the steps.

Happy stood at the top of the steps as they stepped off of them. She watched Toby slowly walk over and began climbing the stairs.

"Is this settled?" Happy asked him without looking at him.

"Yea, I think it is." Toby told her before walking past her.

"Hey Walt, the squirt and I tidied up the RV and made the bed up for you." Happy told him as she sat down at the table.

"I actually helped, I sprayed it down real good with some antibacterial aerosol." Sylvester smiled.

"Thanks you guys, I appreciate that." Walter smiled.

Walter sat on the side of Ralph's bed reading a book to him and slowly Ralph drifted off to sleep.

Walter smiled down at him as he stood up. He paused for a moment and tucked the covers around him before he kissed Ralph's forehead. If Ralph really was his son, he knew he'd be really upset for missing so much of his life so far.

"Sleep well buddy." Walter said and turned off the small lamp on the nightstand by his bed.

Paige had come out of the restroom nearly fifteen minutes ago and stood there in a lavender pair of tap pants and camisole watching. She had a lavender silk short robe on her shoulders but opened.

Walter looked up as he walked away and saw her and his eyes opened wide.

Paige smiled at the wild look in his eyes. She lifted one hand and pressed a raised finger against her lips.

Walter walked forward and Paige reached out and took his hand. She turned and walked away, pulling Walter along behind her. She turned to face him after they entered his makeshift bedroom.

"Don't go downstairs, stay here, with me." Paige said softly. "There is plenty of room in the bed." Paige whispered as she hugged Walter to her.

"I…I…I'm n-not sure that is wise." Walter tried to whisper back but failed.

Paige smiled.

"I promise to be good." Paige told him as she felt him bend his neck so he could inhale her fragrance.

"It isn't you I'm worried about." Walter said as his hands pulled against her.

Paige could easily feel every contour of his body against hers.

"You wouldn't do something to me that I didn't want, would you?" Paige breathed into his ear teasingly.

"N-no…no, I wouldn't try to take advantage of you." Walter told her quickly.

"Then come to bed with me." Paige said as her teeth scraped along his neck just below his ear.

"I…I-I should take a shower first, working all day and then carrying stuff." Walter hemmed.

"Fine, take a shower then." Paige told him gently. "But, don't take too long." Paige told him quite forcefully.

Walter thought as he showered he better pleasure himself so he wouldn't be as tempted. He was quite certain he was in for a restless night.

Greetings! I hope this finds you all well! First some good news! I heard from JerBr this weekend. He's fine, he wasn't upset about anything. He just realized he needed to step back from the amount of time he was spending on writing and reading. As probably the only other writer in FanFiction who writes as much as he does I know how much time this can consume to produce good content so quickly. He's trying to see if he can get the site administrators to reverse what he did but at this time that is up in the air as he hasn't heard back from them. He asked and I said I'd be happy to do it, so he will be sending me chapters 16-20 of "Making Relationships Work" and will post them in my Grab Bag so that those who were enjoying the story can read the conclusion of them. I will post them on opposite days of my story.

Railman - lol I think it would take real love to put up with fermented fish smell, especially at meal time! lol Yep, Ralph is all down for the move. And Toby has to Toby. lol But hopefully he's finally had enough and he's going to mellow...You'd think he'd know he isn't going to out Walter Walter when it comes to computers...right? lol He certainly caught him at it. lol

LouBe - A slight change, But I'll call ya LouBe anyway! lol Maybe you should have gone with LouBe197? lol I'll just say when I first read LouBe96 that wasn't the number my mind read. lol Well I can only think of one other way but, I'm not using it. lol hehe I think it is because Happy is genuine in her care for Walter and Paige whereas Toby just wants what he wants irregardless. Cabe came really close to being conned...I think that really ticked Cabe off. lol Toby one up Walter on computers? Never! lol

Susan - Happy is definitely a bold one! And she is only concerned in it for Walter's sake. Toby definitely needs professional help! lol Glad you are enjoying them moving in together! I was surprised Walter didn't slap him silly for what he did. Hopefully he was truthful with Happy at the end.

SkunkeeFunk - LOL Nope...Toby just won't learn! lol

To the Adventure! -Tim
