Author Notes: God this was such a good game-I dont care what anyone says. I just wish I could've had dating options, but eh cant have everything but hey that's what fanfiction is for lol. With that being said this is long overdue. I do not own digimon.

When Takuma came to, he found himself alone in a jail cell. "Huh?" It was dark and dank. With narrowed eyes, he realized that with the exception of iron bars, he was surrounded by stone. Sitting up, he was surprised to find himself on-what looked to be-a hospital bed.

"It seems you're finally awake. You gave the little ones quite the scare, you know." Blinking down the ravenette realized he wasn't actually alone. "Who are you?" Instead there was a scruffy white haired dwarf barely reaching his knees.

He couldn't even see the creatures eyes, however he didn't seem malicious. He wasn't attacking Takuma at least. "My name's Jijimon. You and your partner were brought to me and her royal rowdiness. We were told you were injured."

So there was no sense in denying it then. Takuma bit back a groan. "Yes...i've been dealing with some bad headaches lately. Bu-but it's nothing major!" Jijimon hummed, but said nothing. "Well in that case I'll be alerting her royal rowdiness, then. You sit tight now." Takuma could only watch him leave.

Sighing the moment the little monster went out the door. He closed his eyes, trying to remain calm. His head wasn't hurting much right now, however that could change at any moment. And he knew he still wasn't alone despite Jijimon going out the door.

He could feel eyes staring at him, though he had no clue where it was exactly coming from. Not that he was in the mindset to try. With another sigh he laid back down, covering his face with one hand. "The others must be frantic..." From what he could remember, someone called out to him as he was passing out.

Whoever it was no doubt told everyone that he was kidnapped. It didn't spell good news. "Takumaaaa!" The door slammed open, revealing a very relieved Agumon. "Hey buddy." Takuma let out a pained huff of laughter as his partner leaped onto him.

"I was so worried when you wouldn't wake up! Jijimon said you needed to rest, so we're staying here until you're all better." As great as that seemed...there was a big problem with that plan. "We need to get back to the others before they assume the worst." Kaito especially wouldn't react well.

The blonde male was already in a bad mood because he hadn't found Miu, yet, so he didn't like those digimon that kept interrupting their search. If he found out Takuma was kidnapped on top of his sister going missing... "You can't Takuma...you're not ok."

It stung knowing how right the yellow dinosaur was. He had been pretending he was alright for so long, he didn't want to admit it. There was always some reason for not bringing it up. Even now, the teen had no intention of letting the others know.

"I know, but the last thing I want is for a fight to break out because of us." Dark brown met worried vibrant green. "If we stay Agumon...they could get hurt." A snort was heard, startling him. Takuma snapped his head towards the door, his eyes widening in astonishment.

It was Miu, with a little kemonogami of her own. "If anyone comes here for trouble, they'll be in for a nasty surprise." In more ways than one. The younger girl crossed her arms, her sleeves dangling down to her hips. "Jijimon said you were sick. You look fine to me."

Takuma wasn't sure what to say. It felt so odd seeing Kaito's little sister there scowling at him. Though he was initially shocked seeing her, it wasn't like a plot twist in a movie. In fact he would say he had a feeling-

"Arg!" His hand went to his head, clutching the hair roots. "?!" Agumon held onto his friend. "Takuma! Takuma what can I do?" The boy could only shake his head, burrowing his head into his companion's. Breathing in and out, he tried counting in his mind. Colors spiraled out of his vision before going black.

The sounds around him were garbled, jibberish, yet they still had that intense set of vibrations he despise so much. A pained moan left his lip as his hands still held tightly onto his head. Takuma could feel the way some of the hair strands released from his scalp. It was a brief release from the more agonizing pain.

Very brief. "Hang on young man. Relax, and when you come to, I'll have something to help." He desperately wanted to trust the words of whoever was talking to him. For so long this pain had been plaguing him, only getting worse overtime. It hurt so much, with no true relief in sight.

Once more...Takuma tried to count away in his mind, trying to overtake the now voices in his mind. Voices he couldn't make out a thing from. He honestly had no idea if his vain attempt of mustering some sort of control was working or not. Either way, it didn't matter, he still tried.

Eventually the dull, throbbing ache faded to the point where it was managable. Enough for him to open his eyes, finding a teary eyed Agumon. "Takuma!" Who once more wrapped his claws tight around his stomach. "Glad you've finally returned to us."

Jijimon and Miu were also there. Though he couldn't see the hairy monsters expression, he sounded relieved. Which was better when compared to seeing the pale, horrified expression on the young girl's face. "What happened?" Agumon whimpered, nuzzling his head into Takuma's stomach.

"You fainted, Takuma. Your my-grayn came back." Takuma felt guilty as he hugged his friend back, apologizing for worrying him. Jijimon cleared his throat, catching the teen's attention. "Tell me, Takuma. How long have you been in this condition?"

He bit his lips for a moment. "Since I arrived here. At first it was like a ringing in my ear, or a buzz that just enveloped through my body. It's just been getting worse. The voices so loud. I...I've never fainted because of it before." The elder beast hummed as he disappeared underneath Takuma's bed.

His little staff was gently laid on the floor, a little glass full of some sort of blue liquid in his hands. "I believe you're hearing voices of the past. This world is constantly dealing with time and space distortions. When a certain feeling or thought comes to mind, it triggers those past conversations."

It was a bit confusing to understand. Regardless Takuma accepted the little glass flask, drinking it as Jijimon continued explaining. "Entities of the past are connecting to you, causing a sensitive overload to your body. These distortions are too much for you to handle for long periods of time. From what agumon told me, it's no wonder you fell unconscious ."

Takuma swallowed a wad of saliva that grew. "Is...there a way to stop it? Or a way to diminish the reaction? The others-they don't know and I don't want them to worry. I feel bad enough that agumon has to watch me struggle." There was a flash of movement at the corner of his eyes.

It was a bunch of kemonogami, including the ones that brought him here. They stayed behind the door, keeping their distance. "-not much I can do I'm afraid." Takuma turned back to Jijimon, desperate.

"Please...there has to be something." The little white haired beast could only shake his head. "The most I can think of is trying to communicate with these voices. I remember my friend once telling me that priests and priestesses of older eras could hones powers beyond that of time and space."

What did that mean? Takuma wanted to ask more, but he couldn't. The castle began to rumble, shaking everyone within it. "Ahhhh!" The old interior's ceiling was breaking apart. "Miu look out!" She gasped when she was pushed out of the way.

Debris fell, adding to the shakes. "Takuma!" Miu had tears in her eyes, her sight glued to the teen that covered her body. "Oh ho ho~ We finally found you!" It was Arukenimon...and she brought friends. With a pained wince Takuma stood up, shielding Miu from view.

"Jijimon, you take Miu and evacuate everyone. Agumon let's go!" Everything was hurting. He felt hot liquid sliding down his head and back, but he ignored it. "Right!" He couldn't think about his problems, not when there were far bigger concerns.

They would fight, struggle just like they always did to survive. Even as a bunch of the spider monster's goons leaped from the windows and ceiling, Takuma had faith that his friends would arrive to help. He just had to hold on a little longer.

to be continued

Author Notes: I actually wonder if the ringing in our ears whenever we discover a diary entry or something is just something Takuma has to deal with or if its something everyone deals with and just dont mention. Either way it makes good plot devices lol.
