Hello, everyone! Welcome back to another new Chapter of my new Ever After High and Transformers Crossover Story, Transformation of Ever After High! I am glad to have come so far as nine Chapters. Chapter 9: True Hearts' Day
Autumn had come to Ever After High. The fields were changing, from yellow stubble to brown earth, and most of all, love was in the air, but not for the reason you would expect.
In the Castleteria, Rowan was sitting with Raven and Maddie. Several students were awing at Raven while others tried to keep their distance.
"She's gonna be a great hero."
"Yeah, or she's gonna be evil."
"You don't know that."
"That wasn't her real destiny on Legacy Day."
"Don't any of us have freedom to choose?"
"Listen to them," Rowan rolled his eyes. "I can't believe they still think you're gonna be evil."
"Well, I don't mind anymore," Raven shrugged. "Good or evil, I don't care what they say. So long as I'm doing my part to help protect as a Knight of Iacon, I'm just glad to help out."
"That's improvement, right there." Maddie smiled.
Cerise, Cedar, Sparrow, Briar, Ali, Rosabella, Darling and a boy with desert clothes similar to the ones Ali wore, only for males, and with a red streak in his brown hair, walked over. This was Atem Night.
"Wow, this table is starting to become popular." Rowan's eyes widened.
"Well, you're always sitting by yourselves here," Briar said. "You shouldn't deserve to be alone anymore."
"Thanks," Rowan smiled before Miko and Marylyn walked over and sat down as well. "All this company helps us feel more welcome."
At that moment, Melody walked over, carrying two trays of large amounts of food on them. Sitting down at a large space at the table, she started to eat immediately once her drink was set down.
"Whoa, Melody," Raven said. "You must really be hungry."
"You been hanging out with Helga and Gus or something?" Ginger walked over and sat down.
"You get limited food from Flip Side in a prison, and you start to crave all the food you missed out on," Melody said with a full mouth. She sighed happily and took a bite out of a pizza. "Oh, it feels so good to eat all this again. I've missed these meals."
"Well, that's what being a prisoner for a month must feel like," Atem said. "It's good that you're starting to enjoy your freedom again."
"And to be able to eat normally too," Melody gulped down her pizza slice and took a drink of her soda. "Freedom has never tasted so good."
Dexter watched from a distance, holding some flowers in his hand. Raven felt something and turned around, the two blushing when they saw each other. As Lizzie passed and sat down with them, he nervously approached, but Raven noticed Cupid about to talk to him before being left saddened once he left.
"Could Cupid really…?" Raven asked herself. "I wonder…"
Later, outside, Rowan was helping Melody to train outside. Both had their swords drawn as he started to show her his fighting style.
"Okay, now show me yours." Rowan said.
Melody nodded and held her sword like a guitar. Both hands on her weapon, she spun around and slashed like a rock star swinging his playing guitar around. She landed on the ground after doing a spin in the air and stabbed her blade into the ground.
"I've been working on something to call my own." Melody grinned.
"You're good, but you could do better," Rowan said. "We'll be helping you and the other new additions to the Knights of Iacon out in time, I promise."
"Yeah, don't worry," Jazz transformed and breakdanced until he reached the two. "Got plenty of groove in you, you'll get there."
"Thanks, Jazz." Melody smiled.
All of a sudden, Optimus Prime arrived. Everyone looked to him in surprise before he transformed, his trailer staying transformed instead of becoming a battle station for once.
"Optimus," Rowan said, surprised. "Is something wrong?"
"What's the emergency?" Jazz asked.
"There is no emergency," Optimus Prime shook his head. "Bumblebee, Hot Rod, Bulkhead and Arcee are with Ratchet, upgrading for temperature protection since our visit to the Winter Kingdom," he explained. "I have volunteered to be at this school, to assist in any way I can."
"Thanks, that means a lot," Rowan said as Melody looked on in awe. "Oh, this is Melody. She's the one that Flip Side impersonated when she was a Decepticon Spy."
"It is a pleasure to see you, and a relief to see you have made a recovery," Optimus Prime said. "Rest assured, Flip Side will pay for what she did to you."
"That is very much appreciated, Optimus Prime, but I feel like what she did to me is personal," Melody said. "I want to get ever with her myself."
"Then I will allow it," Optimus Prime said before noticing Ashlynn walk by. "Where are you going, Ashlynn?"
"Oh, Optimus, hi," Ashlynn said. "Um, I'm on my way to meet up with Hunter."
"What is the reason?" Optimus Prime asked. "Has there been a Decepticon in the Enchanted Forest?"
"No, not like that," Ashlynn said. "It's… complicated, and I have to go now." She hurried to the Enchanted Forest.
"Um, Optimus, there's a reason for that," Rowan walked onto Optimus Prime's hand, allowing him to lift him up to his level so that he would not be able to speak so loudly with everyone else around. "See, I discovered this back when the Beast Trio attacked us. Ashlynn and Hunter are dating… they're in love."
"Romance is a complicated subject we have seen on this Planet for a long time," Optimus Prime said. "What is wrong with this one?"
"Because Ashlynn is a Royal, and Hunter is a Rebel," Rowan said as Melody walked over and showed her weapon to Jazz. "Everyone here sticks to Royals with Royals and Rebels with Rebels. They don't think it would be good if a Royal and a Rebel got together, especially Grimm."
"It would appear that they have nothing to fear," Optimus Prime said. "Some things are meant to be kept a secret. Perhaps I should see what their love is truly like." He put Rowan down and started to walk to the Enchanted Forest.
Rowan chuckled before his MirrorPhone buzzed. He looked to it before walking to Melody and Jazz.
"Briar just texted, wants to meet me about something," Rowan said. "Jazz, can you continue Melody's training?"
"Affirmative, Rowan." Jazz nodded.
"I'll be fine," Melody said. "Just make sure you do what you need to with Briar."
"Thanks, Melody," Rowan said. "You're the best."
"Oh…" Melody blushed a bit and tried to hide it as Rowan ran into the school. "Maybe… maybe he says that to everyone else."
"Not really," Jazz said. "I think he's right. You did take on your own worst enemy the moment you became a Knight, after all."
"Please, girls becoming Knights? Absurd."
Melody growled as she and Jazz turned to see Rogelio walking over.
"What do you want?" Melody scowled.
"Why would a girl, princess or otherwise, take up the title of becoming a knight?" Rogelio scoffed. "Apple's right, it's not right. Girls like you are meant to be saved, not to actually do the saving."
"Shows what you know," Jazz retorted. "You had to get your butt saved by a two girls when Knockout attacked, if I recall."
"You can stop being so sexist," Melody said, gripping her sword tightly. "You know that even Autobots and Decepticons don't tolerate it."
"Please, as a soon to be Huntsman, I shall do the saving, you go back to writing music or playing it, for all anyone cares." Rogelio guffawed.
"Watch it!" Melody snapped, slamming her sword into the ground as it created a sonic wave.
"You should really be more careful, leave the swords to the pros." Rogelio scoffed.
"I won't miss next time you insult me." Melody glared.
"Now… get out." Jazz flicked Rogelio back softly. He simply chuckled and walked away as if nothing had happened.
"That wannabe is too big for his rear axle." Jazz glared.
"I've got that exact same phrase, but I won't say it because we have eyes on us." Melody agreed as everyone who had watched the encounter went back to what they were doing.
In the Grimmnasium, Briar was in front of Cupid, holding a book. While Briar was painting her toenails, Rowan walked in. Putting her feet back into her shoes carefully, he sat down next to her.
"Got your text," Rowan said. "What's going on?"
"Well, Cupid wanted to share something with us." Briar said.
Cupid smiled and showed off the book in her hands.
"Um, a book?" Rowan said before seeing the title.
"True Hearts Day?" Briar read. "I don't get it."
"Yeah, are we supposed to read it, or…?"
Cupid sighed before an idea came to her. "Charades!" she beamed before setting the book down.
"Um… what?" Rowan asked before Cupid put up ten fingers four times and then eight fingers afterwards.
"Forty-eight words," Briar guessed, getting into her party girl spirit as Cupid started to pantomime random motions. "I think I'm getting it."
"What, what is it?" Rowan asked, confused.
"A holiday that used to be Spellebrated in the fairytale world that encourages us to follow our true heart's desire, but Headmaster Grimm doesn't want anyone to know about it, but you think we should Spellebrate it anyway and throw a secret underground True Hearts Day dance?" Briar guessed, earning a nod from Cupid and a confused look from Rowan.
"Girl, how did you get all that… from that?" Rowan gestured to Cupid.
"Plot convenience," Briar shrugged, getting Rowan to shrug before looking back to Cupid. "Why didn't you just say that?"
"Because… Headmaster Grimm said not to tell anyone." Cupid chuckled.
"That wasn't telling." Rowan agreed.
"Secret dance…" Briar thought before pondering, "What if Grimm catches us?"
"He won't, I promise," Cupid said. "Come on, it's gonna be ever after awesome!"
"Well, I do throw the most hexcellent parties…" Briar thought out loud.
"Yay!" Cupid cheered as Rowan and Briar tried to calm her down. "We're having a secret True Hearts Day Dance!" her voice echoed accidentally throughout the whole school.
"Easy there, Cherub." Rowan chuckled.
"Yeah, the secret part should just be a secret, after all." Briar pointed out.
Rowan chuckled before getting up. "Better get going," he said. "Gotta make sure that Optimus isn't getting too lost in the woods."
"Optimus is here?" Briar asked.
"Yeah," Rowan nodded. "Everyone else is getting upgrades for climate protection. I don't know about Grimlock, though. He's a Dinobot."
"Well, I hope some of them can help," Cupid said. "I'd like at least some of them to experience True Hearts Day."
"Yeah, the day of love," Rowan suddenly realized something and made his way to the door. "I'll see you later." He walked out abruptly.
"Rowan?" Briar asked, concerned.
"A holiday for celebrating love," Rowan said to himself as he walked through the halls. "Easy for everyone else, maybe, but what about the son of a crazy king? Everyone goes on and on about how my dad was crazy for seeing a giant metal man."
Granted, Rowan had told everyone that Optimus Prime and Sir Edmund Burton confirmed the metal man to be Megatron, but others were not all that convinced. While some accepted it and took back that Rowan or his father was crazy, others remained skeptical, and continued to mock him.
Rowan continued to think as he walked down the halls. As he was thinking, he did not notice that Marylyn was looking to him dreamily, having been one of the many who heard Cupid's accidental outburst.
In the Enchanted Forest, Optimus Prime was walking towards a large tree by the lake. It was the very same one where Duchess spotted Ashlynn and Hunter on their date. True enough, the couple was there again, enjoying each others' company.
"So… this is what love among the human is." Optimus Prime said as Hunter fired an arrow above Ashlynn. It let loose a crown of flowers that landed on her head while the arrow itself accidentally bounced off of Optimus Prime's leg.
"Interesting." Optimus Prime said, getting Ashlynn and Hunter to notice him.
"Sorry about that, Optimus," Hunter apologized. "I guess I was too busy focusing on Ashlynn that I didn't see you."
"It is fine, Hunter," Optimus Prime said. "Affection works on both of our species. I had one back on Cybertron, a former Decepticon Seeker."
"What was her name?" Ashlynn asked.
"Elita-1," Optimus Prime answered. "She was a fine warrior, an inspiration for other female Autobots. Even the city speaker of Caminus followed her example and joined the cause to fight."
"We would very much like to meet her." Ashlynn smiled.
"Well, isn't this nice?"
Ashlynn gasped as Hunter groaned. Optimus Prime simply took out his blaster and aimed it at the source of the voice, revealing to be Rogelio Huntsman, walking out of the shadows and with a recording MirrorPhone in his hand.
"Rogelio…" Hunter scowled.
"You know this human?" Optimus Prime asked.
"Optimus Prime, Ashlynn Ella… why am I doing full names?" Hunter wondered before gesturing to Rogelio. "Meet my distant cousin, Rogelio Huntsman, twice removed. The very example of what a Huntsman should not be."
"Oh, that hurts, Cuz," Rogelio smirked. "But not that much. That softness is why you're not fit to be a Huntsman."
"What do you want, Roger?" Hunter asked.
"Regal, you mean," Rogelio corrected. "It took me years, but finally, in the tip of my fingers, I have evidence to get the destiny you have denied me, the destiny to be a true Huntsman."
"You and what army?" Ashlynn asked, feeling the urge to release her glass swords.
"No army, just this," Rogelio held up his phone to show the recording. "Now, I wonder what the school would think of a Royal dating a Rebel… and what our families would say about such an arrangement."
"Of course you would do that, you're a prick," Hunter rolled his eyes. "Using blackmail to get whatever you want."
"Not blackmail… leverage," Rogelio smirked. "And just think of what would become of your destiny… it would belong to me."
"Blackmail, no matter what name it is, is never the answer to justify the means," Optimus Prime glared. "If you want a destiny, you will know the right thing to do."
"Spare me the heroics, giant. I know exactly what I'm doing," Rogelio mocked. "Now, if Grimm were to know you supported this… I'm sure a little arrangement could be done for you and your friends."
"Get out!" Ashlynn snarled, sending several glass arrows that almost hit Rogelio before he walked away. "Coward!"
Back at school, as Rowan continued to walk through the hallways, he noticed that everyone was looking on their electronic devices to watch Cupid's show.
"Now my Love Tale Friends, this is the part of the MirrorCast where I try to solve your romantic problems. So, Fragile in Fairyland, what's in your heart?" Cupid asked as she put someone on.
"Uh well I uh…" Rowan heard before he turned around to see the stuttering coming from Dexter who was talking through his MirrorPad.
"I kind of, no I do have a crush on this girl names Raven." Dexter said oblivious to Rowan.
"No kidding." Rowan chuckled.
"Raven Queen? You have a crush on Raven Queen?" Cupid asked as she and all the viewers gasped.
"Did I say Raven I meant Rachael!" Dexter panicked, causing Rowan to facepalm himself. "Anyway, whenever I see her I get tongue-tied, what should I do?"
"How about putting your feelings into a letter?" Cupid suggested.
"That is a great idea!" Dexter exclaimed, getting other people's attention. Nervously, he walked away.
"Wow," Rowan turned to see Cupid looking a bit sad before going to Dexter. "Better see what's up."
Catching up to him, Rowan found Dexter was now at his locker, thinking about Raven. As he was, Rowan walked up to him and looked around.
"Dex?" Rowan snapped his fingers, bringing Dexter back to reality. "You alright?"
"Yeah, I was just thinking," Dexter said. "I just spoke with Cupid for some advice."
"Yeah, I saw her broadcast," Rowan looked to see Cupid walking down the hall sadly before turning back to him as he was using his Talisman to watch a recording of him and Raven with each other on the day the Scraplets attacked the Autobot Base. "Look, I'm not that much of a romantic guy, but I want you to do something."
"Will it help with my problem?" Dexter asked.
"Yes, now just think," Rowan said as he had Dexter close his eyes. "Think what your life would be like if Cupid were never there."
"Why do I—?"
"Just do it," Rowan said. "And think about if only Raven were there. What do you see?"
Dexter started to think before clutching his head. Rowan saw him starting to sweat and grabbed him before he fell on his back, leaning against his locker.
"What… what a nightmare." Dexter gasped.
"How bad was it?" Rowan asked.
"Very," Dexter replied. "I… I could see how different things would be without her, and with only Raven. If it weren't for Cupid, Raven and I would never have… I mean, she was always…" he tried to say before banging on the locker. "How could I be so blind?!"
"Dexter, Dexter, it's okay. You know now," Rowan said. "Look, I'm not saying you should choose one or the other. You have to give both a chance. You'll never know what to do or who to choose… until you try."
Dexter smiled and clasped Rowan's hand, in which he did the same. "Thanks, Rowan. You're the best, a Knight and a Friend," he patted him on the back. "What about you?"
"What do you mean?"
"Anyone you have feelings for?" Dexter clarified.
"Oh, well… I'm not too sure," Rowan said. "I mean, I'm the son of a King everyone thinks is crazy, after all."
"Okay, so not everyone is convinced that your father actually didn't go crazy when seeing Megatron, I get that," Dexter shrugged. "But follow your own advice…" he said, unaware that Miko and Lizzie were looking on with blushing smiles on their faces. "You'll never know what to do… until you try."
"Thanks, Dex, I needed that." Rowan smiled before walking out.
Later, at the Glass Slipper, Cogman was bringing in boxes and handling customers. When Apple walked in, he bowed.
"Good evening, Ms. White." Cogman said.
"Hello, Cogman," Apple said uncomfortably before noticing Ashlynn, admiring some shoes, though her mood was not her usual one. "Aren't you so excited? True Hearts Day is coming up!"
"Yeah… I am," Ashlynn sighed, still thinking about how Rogelio found out about her secret. "It's great."
It was only Rowan and Duchess who knew about the secret of Ashlynn and Hunter dating, and they had no problem in keeping it a secret. Even Mirage, Bulkhead and Optimus Prime knew about it, and knowing how honorable and friendly the Autobots were, she knew they would never spill about them either. It was only when Rogelio found out that he decided to use it to possibly end their lives, and their destinies, that she started to get worried.
"Ashlynn? Sweetie, what's wrong?" Apple asked, noticing Ashlynn's mood. "You can tell me, we're friends."
"Thanks, Apple, but I don't think you'd understand." Ashlynn sighed.
"Autobot problems?" Apple inquired.
"No, I'm good with all of them." Ashlynn said as Grimlock stomped through town with Ginger.
"Oh, then how about boys?" Apple asked. "Come on, you can tell me the truth."
"Truth… truth, that's it!" Ashlynn perked up and put the shoebox down. "I've gotta go, but I'll be back later!" she hugged Apple and ran out.
"Shoes are not my specialty, but I'm sure they are yours as they are with Ashlynn Ella," Cogman said as Apple stood confused. "There is a troll outside who wants size… twenty-four?"
"Ooh…" Apple cringed.
At Hocus Latte, as Melody, wearing a leather jacket and with shades and a hood over her face, was typing at a computer near the window, Cedar walked in. She saw Ashlynn sitting with Hunter, wearing a disguise and a yellow hard hat.
"Hey, Ashlynn!" Cedar called. "I got your text."
"Thanks for coming, Cupid." Ashlynn smiled.
"Hunter… is that you?" Cedar asked.
"No, I'm… Günter… Gunman." Hunter said.
"One large cup for Joe Convoy!" the barista called out. "One manwich for Nina Thumbell!"
"Okay… Günter…" Cedar turned to Ashlynn. "What's up?"
"Rogelio, Hunter's cousin, found out about us," Ashlynn whispered. "So far, you, Bulkhead, Rowan, Duchess and Mirage know about us…"
"It's not much of a secret, if you think about it…"
"Cedar, we need help," Hunter said, lifting up his fake glasses. "He's gonna expose us to everyone!"
"Well, I find it's best to just tell the truth," Cedar said. "Why live a lie when you can tell the truth?"
"Thanks, Cedar," Ashlynn said. "You're the best!"
"Günter Gunman! I got a triple hocus latte for Günter Gunman, with a manwich on the side!" the barista called.
"Um, that's me!" Günter called.
"Come on, let's go!" Ashlynn called as she pulled Hunter as soon as he got his latte, but not the rest of his food.
"My manwich!" Hunter lamented.
Rogelio walked in, having just missed the trio. Still feeling very full of himself for getting the key to achieving the Huntsman Destiny, he walked up to the counter. Noticing Hunter's food, he looked around and saw the name reserved for it. Tossing it aside, he ate it before seeing Melody at the computer. Straightening himself up, he walked on over.
"I really hope you learned your lesson, Melody," Rogelio said cockily, unaware of the kind of work being done on the laptop. "The whole reason you damsels exist is so that we can save them. I honestly don't know what Raven or Rowan see in you girls, letting them fight, let alone having one of them doing Hero Training, but I can see a future for you and me," he went on as Melody turned to him. "If we… just…"
Rogelio slowed down, seeing something on Melody's face that was not supposed to be there: metal. Her eyes were red, and a certain devil-looking symbol told just who she really was.
"You know, it's rude to disturb someone when they're working… especially on something so important."
"You're that Decepticon… the one Melody fought." Rogelio realized.
"Flip… Side," she closed the laptop and let it fold onto her arm as she took out a blaster, getting everyone to gasp. "How do you want your punishment?"
"Die, Decepticon!" Rogelio took out his axe as soon as everyone started to film and take pictures. He swung it at Flip Side's side, only for her to catch it before punching him out of the café.
Rogelio could feel his entire body in pain. He looked up as Flip Side tossed her jacket aside and raised the axe with her sword.
"Knockout talks about you. He says you ruined his paintjob, all while he was minding his own business," Flip Side smirked. "I wonder what kinds of upgrades he'll reward me with for bringing you in."
All of a sudden, a sonic wave sent Flip Side flying back. Rogelio turned to see Melody and Rowan running in.
"Flip Side?" Melody gasped at the sight of her doppelgänger. "What… what has happened to you?"
"A little side effect when you struck me," Flip Side snarled. "I'm stuck looking like you… a platinum flesh-bag! Now… it's time to return the favor!" she tossed her stolen axe.
Melody held her sword by the handle on the blade and turned her sword into an axe of her own. She slashed the tossed axe in two before running in and slashing back, just as everyone else watched,
"Rogelio, you okay?" Rowan asked as he laid Rogelio against some barrels. "Stay here." He ordered as he ran to help Melody out.
Rogelio groaned and started to watch the battle.
Melody continued to swing at Flip Side before she blasted her axe blade. Sending her back, she started to slash at her, only for Rowan to use his second sword to block it. As he did, Melody spun her axe around and slashed at Flip Side, disarming her of her blaster before her weapon was slashed out of her hand.
"Nice try." Flip Side grinned.
Melody chuckled before kicking off of Flip Side's face. She leapt up and caught her weapon by the sword handle before slashing down, cutting Flip Side's sword in half. As soon as she did, she sent seven sonic waves at her, sending her crashing into the wall.
"I do my best." Melody smirked.
"Flip Side!" Optimus Prime entered with his sword drawn. "Do not make this worse for yourself."
"Fools! You think you've won?" Flip Side asked. "I've got what I came for. Your destruction shall come soon enough." She slid and grabbed her blaster before shooting up. A flare was sent, and Mohawk rolled in. She grabbed her remaining piece of her sword and leapt on him before riding off.
"Okay, that was too close." Rowan said.
"Flip Side is not at the strength she once had," Optimus Prime said. "But because she is incapacitated… does not mean she is weak."
"If she comes back… I'll be ready." Melody nodded.
"You!" Rogelio snarled. "You robbed me of my prize!"
"You're welcome, happy to help." Melody rolled her eyes.
"What part of respecting our system did you not get?! I had that Decepticon, and you robbed me of my victory!" Rogelio snapped.
"Normal weapons cannot harm a Decepticon, even one with a human size like Flip Side," Optimus Prime said. "You should be grateful that you were not harmed more than she could have desired."
"That was my fight and you robbed my victory!" Rogelio pressed on.
"Next time you want to fight a Cybertronian, be ready." Melody glared.
"This isn't some monster from the stories, Rogelio," Rowan said. "These are heavy metal hitters. They're not going to be as easy," he said sternly. "You lost, the fight's over."
"Not until I get my due reward!" Rogelio argued as Rowan and Melody walked away.
"Just shut up." Melody said as Optimus Prime transformed. She and Rowan entered him and rode off.
"Come back here!" Rogelio called.
Later on, news of the battle had reached the school. As Rogelio was walking around with gauze and bandages on him, he winced when hearing people mention his defeat at the hands of Flip Side.
"Great work, Melody!" Blondie congratulated Melody as she and Rowan walked by. "Any ideas as to what Flip Side was doing back here?"
"Honestly, we don't know." Rowan said.
"All I know is that I was lucky to be nearby when she attacked," Melody said. "Had she not been provoked so much, I assume she would have left."
"But today is full of surprises for sure." Rowan said.
All of a sudden, several gasps were heard. Everyone turned to see Ashlynn and Hunter entering the school, hand in hand.
Rogelio noticed this and slammed his hand against his locker angrily. Unfortunately, it was the hand that was injured when Flip Side attacked, and he wept in pain.
"I knew they'd show everyone sooner or later." Rowan smiled.
"It's making sense now." Raven nodded nearby.
Dexter smiled at Raven, holding a poem in his hand. He looked to Cupid, thinking about what Rowan said, before putting it away. Smiling at both girls, he sighed and turned back to Ashlynn and Hunter.
"That looks just right!" Blondie smiled, recording the walking couple.
Ashlynn and Hunter continued to smile before hearing…
"Ashlynn?!"
Ashlynn gasped as Apple stood before them, her hands over her mouth as the two continued to hold hands.
"You and Hunter are dating?" Apple asked. "B-but you're a Royal… and he's a Rebel!"
"I don't see the big deal." Miko said.
"Yeah, they're perfect for each other." Marylyn agreed.
Ashlynn smiled at Miko and Marylyn before nervously walking away, with Apple still looking at her best friend and her revealed boyfriend in shock.
Later, Blondie was setting up another MirrorCast with the big reveal.
"So, fellow fairytale fans, Blondie Lockes here to get your reactions of the biggest reveal of the new Royally Rebellious couple!" Blondie announced. "From all the sides, here is what we got!"
Raven was up first. "I think it's hexcellent," she smiled as Apple crashed and cried onto her bed. "Ashlynn and Hunter decided to rewrite their destinies. What's wrong with that?" she asked as Apple wept more, giving her a confused look.
Next up was Cerise.
"I feel for them," Cerise said, chewing on a chicken leg. "I mean, keeping secrets is hard."
Sparrow was about to grab a leg until Thunderhowl appeared. Nervously, he backed away as Cerise smirked.
"What do I have to say?" Marylyn asked as she performed magic in the Grimmnasium. "Those two are perfect for each other. I don't see why they shouldn't be dating. After all, I know some princesses who are dating other girls." She smiled before creating an Autobot symbol next to the Banner of the school.
"It's really great that they're getting together." Rowan said as he was practicing lessons with Optimus Prime. "No one should be forced to live a life in secret. I mean, look at the Autobots. Everyone has accepted them for sure."
"A Royal dating a Rebel?" Daring asked, sword and shield in hand. "Please," he scoffed. "They're from two different worlds."
A blast of fire was suddenly sent at Daring, causing him to raise his shield. The camera zoomed out to see he was sparring against Grimlock as he tossed his shield down. "Do you mind?! I am trying to do an interview here?!"
Grimlock growled and transformed. "You think me Grimlock care?!"
"Um, sorry, Grim," Daring apologized sheepishly. "Still getting used to you."
"That why Grimlock king." Grimlock smirked.
"Wait, a king?!" Daring asked before the camera left him.
Finally, Apple was up.
"I'm worried about Ashlynn and Hunter. If they don't follow their destinies, their books could close. Forever." Apple sighed.
Later on, Miko was leaving Princessology with Raven.
"A test on tiara size and neck problems?" Raven asked. "Okay, I'm starting to have my doubts on this. Maybe Optimus knows if Ravenicus had problems with her neck."
"Tell me about it. Mom never had a tiara before." Miko agreed.
Ashlynn walked up to Apple, not focusing on what was handed out to her.
"Apple, can we talk?" Ashlynn asked.
"I'm just… not taking this easy," Apple said. "And I usually take things easily."
"Everything?" Ashlynn gestured to a report of the Autobots on Apple's MirrorPad.
"Well, almost," Apple sighed. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't think you'd understand," Ashlynn replied. "And… you've been going through a difficult time since Legacy Day too."
"It just doesn't make sense to me," Apple said. "I don't want anything bad to happen to my friends."
Ali noticed this as Apple left. She walked up to Ashlynn with a comforting hand.
"Sorry about you and Apple." Ali sympathized.
"My best friend is upset, Ali, and I don't know what to do." Ashlynn sighed.
"Well, from my father's experience, don't pander to the expectations," Ali suggested. "You have to accept what people think, the good and the bad. It's not anyone's right to tell you how to feel. All that is received from that is resentment and resistance. All people have freedom, just like what Raven and Ravenicus Prime set forth. They should have the right to be heard and ignored."
"Well, I guess that helps a bit," Ashlynn smiled a tiny bit. "Thanks, Ali."
"Hey, a thousand and one nights, and a thousand and one words and more for wisdom." Ali smiled.
In the computer room, Melody was looking through a drive she had found. Rowan noticed her and walked up.
"Hey, Melody," Rowan said. "You know, I have Poppy ready for training while it's free period. Want to join?"
"Sure, I was just looking over this," Melody gestured to the drive. "It dropped from Flip Side during out fight."
"What is it?" Rowan asked.
"Well, I've had a lot of time to read, being given time off due to being imprisoned," Melody said. "And I've managed to do hacking and coding. Looks like Flip Side was looking for some kind of purple crystals. Some sort of Energon, but I don't know what."
"Poppy's hair glowed purple when we first met, before Smokescreen gave her a Talisman," Rowan recalled. "Maybe it's a special Energon?"
"Well, since we're training with Optimus, we can find more from him." Melody took out the drive and walked with Rowan. As they did, she looked to him with a blush.
Outside, as Optimus Prime was waiting with Poppy for Rowan to arrive with Melody, Ashlynn and Hunter ran to each other and embraced immediately.
"They're sure happy to be an open couple." Poppy smiled.
"It should not make a difference on what they do," Optimus Prime said. "They have their right to choose who they want. Anyone who decides otherwise for them has no honor."
"You have the words of a Headmaster for the School," Poppy grinned. "Imagine if you ran the school instead of Grimm."
"Milton is… questionable, but I am only a soldier.," Optimus Prime said. "To rule a school or a Planet would not be my place."
"How is your family taking the news?" Hunter asked Ashlynn.
"Mom was surprised, but pointed out that she had to wait for her prince," Ashlynn said. "She thinks I found my prince way before the stroke of midnight."
"My parents are a bit surprised too," Hunter said. "But after seeing us in action, and hearing how we feel for each other, they're slowly coming around," he said. "Can't say the same for Rogelio, even though I haven't seen him."
"Cousin!
"Speak of the devil." Hunter rolled his eyes.
"Everyone knows about you now. I hope you're happy." Rogelio scowled.
"How may we help you? It is a beautiful day, we agree." Hunter snarked.
"How is anyone okay with this?!" Rogelio exclaimed. "You're dating, going against the system, and it's all over the MirrorNet! You're okay with all this?"
"Mom and Dad understand, as do the rest of the family," Hunter said. "They think it makes me a better Huntsman."
"That's not you, that's me!" Rogelio argued.
"A Huntsman doesn't kill for pleasure, or get up in anyone's bloody faces so they can feel proud. They do things because it's right," Hunter argued back. "I'm not running from my destiny… I'm making it happen with the girl I love."
"You will regret destroying my chances, Hunter. Mark my words."
"Don't go sulking just because you got your butt kicked by a Decepticon for the second time," Ashlynn said. "And was saved by a girl, for that matter."
"I'll make you and Melody pay." Rogelio vowed before walking away.
Rowan and Melody were near the exit until Cogman passed them.
"What's going on?" Melody asked.
"I have been requested to assist with Ms. Cupid." Cogman replied.
Rogelio stormed past, muttering to himself. However, it was too loud, loud enough for the three to hear.
"I will have that destiny!" Rogelio vowed. "If I can't ruin their reputation…" he looked to an invitation and a devious grin came onto his face. "Maybe Headmaster Grimm will do something to them for me… if he were to know about the party."
"That cannot be allowed to happen." Rogelio turned to see Cogman electrocute him and knock him unconscious.
"Whoa." Melody said.
Carrying Rogelio on his shoulder, Cogman found a locker and put him in it. Melody decided to join in and removed her stockings. She threw them in, making sure they landed on Rogelio's nose, before Cogman closed it and welded it tight.
"No one shall disrupt this celebration." Cogman vowed before walking off.
Rowan grinned as Melody walked back, slipping her shoes back on.
At the Bookball Field, Rowan and Melody approached Optimus Prime and Poppy.
"Optimus, before we start, I found something out about why Flip Side was back," Melody said. "Is there a certain kind of purple Energon?"
Optimus Prime's optics widened. "Where did you find this?"
"Wait, my hair glowed purple in Book End," Poppy realized. "And it only glows when I detect Energon."
"Dark Energon," Optimus Prime said, surprising the three. "The Blood of Unicron."
"Any idea for why Decepticons would want it?" Melody asked as she and Poppy looked to each other. "From what you've told all of us about our mission, the Decepticons are enemies of Unicron too, so why would they want his blood?"
"Because with enough, it can control darkness… and Unicron himself," Optimus Prime said. "Megatron was not only chasing the AllSpark, but a massive source of Dark Energon as well."
"Just how did Megatron affect our world?" Rowan asked.
"His discovery was kept a secret from the world, and was known only to the Society of the Transformers," Optimus Prime replied. "Through time, his technology and workings were studied. Those studies were known to only a few public figures, and they used those to develop vehicles seen today. Every car, truck, anything on wheels and not powered by horses or anything else, any electric vehicle or anything advanced, was created from studying Megatron."
"So it's because of him that you're all robots in disguise." Melody deducted.
"We do not base ourselves off of Decepticons, but we helped to develop better technology once we awoke," Optimus Prime said. "If Dark Energon is here, we must make sure that it is kept out of the hands of all sides."
"I could try to help move it out." Poppy said. "I do have Energon skills."
"According to the drive, Knockout took all the Dark Energon to Starscream," Melody said. "Unless there's more, we can't act without knowing more."
"In the meantime, we must be vigilant," Optimus Prime said. He looked to see Cupid with Briar near the forest. "There is something I must tend to," he walked away. "Rowan, train Melody and Poppy. I have other matters."
"Everything set?" Cupid asked.
"Bulkhead might be absent, but I was able to put everything up." Briar nodded.
"Is something going on?" Optimus Prime made himself known.
"Hi, Optimus," Hopper walked forward. "We've been trying to prepare for the True Hearts Day dance, without Grimm knowing."
"He does not approve?" Optimus Prime asked surprised.
"You know him, he wants everyone to focus on their own destinies." Miko said, walking over as well.
"Perhaps I can help." Optimus Prime said.
Later on, as soon as the sun set, everyone started to climb out the windows. Meeting Cupid at the ground below, they all raced away from the school into a secret location. Soon, the place was packed with several students. Hearts surrounded the place, as well as several deserts and treats shaped like hearts, and Melody was acting as the deejay, playing music for everyone.
"It's been a while since I threw a party, but is everyone ready for some True Hearts Tunes?" Melody asked as everyone cheered. "Then follow me!" she scratched her deejay discs and played music for everyone.

Everyone started to dance to the music, with several rats dancing along as well. Sparkplug noticed them and looked to their movements before dancing along.
"That's my Sparkplug." Rosabella smiled.
Darling chuckled as she walked over to get some punch.
"So, enjoying the party?" Ali asked, walking to get some punch as well.
"Yeah, really moving," Darling said. "You have your eye on anyone recently?"
"A couple people, but none that really make my heart stop." Ali said.
"Your brother seems to be having fun." Darling looked over.
Atem was indeed having fun, break-dancing with others joining in. Everyone cheered as they danced and started to copy their moves.
"Yeah, he's the life of the party," Ali said. "But I know how to bring in the excitement some more." She took out a flute and started to play it in tune with the song as Darling looked on.
"Lovely music." Darling commented.
Rowan smiled as he walked around. As he was, he saw Briar and the two smiled.
"Quite the party, huh?" Briar asked.
"Can't believe you got Melody to deejay again." Rowan grinned.
"She missed out on a lot, and I wanted to give her a good time here." Briar said. "Cupid has something planned later on, and I think everyone will like it."
"And good thing too, because Melody and I both made sure that no one is messing this night up for any of us." Rowan smiled.
Briar blushed at Rowan and pulled her hair back before getting some punch.
Dexter, in the meantime, was walking around, looking at everything. He looked at the window, seeing a tree pass them. Not bothering to question it, he sat down, where Raven and Cupid both walked to him, the latter looking somewhat nervous.
"Hey, Dexter," Raven said. "You having a good time?"
"Yeah, things are really moving along," Dexter said. "I'm surprised at how fast this party got set up."
"Well, I am devoted to love of all kinds, and this party had love written all over it," Cupid smiled before she and Raven grabbed a seat while the Cherub also pulled out three cups of punch. "On the house."
"Thanks," Dexter said as he, Raven and Cupid looked to each other. "I've actually been meaning to talk to you both, so thanks for both coming to me."
"Sure." Raven said.
"What is it?" Cupid asked, sipping her punch.
"Well, to Cupid… I've figured out your crush on me." Dexter said.
Cupid almost choked as her face turned red enough to almost look like an apple. "Come again?" she asked, trying to clear her throat.
"It came to me when you helped me gain the confidence I needed to ask Raven out," Dexter explained. "And while I like you, I also like Raven… but I don't think she or I are at the stage where we use the big L Word yet," he turned to Raven. "No offense."
"None taken." Raven shrugged.
"So… what are you saying?" Cupid asked.
"I'm sorry for being so oblivious to your love," Dexter said. "That's why I'm willing to share my love with both of you… see who I like more, and then settle. That way, I can be fair with the two girls who mean the most to me."
"The most, huh?" Raven smirked.
"I was told to imagine a life without Cupid, and nothing seemed right," Dexter explained. "Then I imagined a life without Raven, and the same thing happened. When I imagined both of them in my life, I knew that both of you meant a lot to me. There's a void in my heart for one of you, but both seem to fit," he reached into his pocket and pulled a paper out. "Oh, the writing got smeared, but the poem still reaches down from my heart."
"Whatever it was… I'm already touched." Cupid smiled.
"Me too." Raven agreed.

That night, Milton was looking through the halls. He had just finished a video conference for the school board.
"They're already starting to question my act on Legacy Day," Milton said. "I need to do something to stay as the Headmaster before anything changes… especially with destiny."
A pounding was heard on one of the lockers. Milton heard it and knocked back, getting it to stop. He placed his ear against the lock and started to turn it left and right. Soon, it opened, and Rogelio fell out.
"Mr. Huntsman? What is the meaning of this?" Milton asked.
"Fresh… air…" Rogelio tossed the stockings away and gasped. "That other Headmaster, Cogman, zapped me and stuffed me in here!"
"And the reason is…?"
"Everyone is attending a True Hearts Day Dance!"
"Show me where it is!" Milton ordered.
"Right away, Headmaster." Rogelio grinned, leading Milton out of the school.
"That was Melody Piper, returning to deejay for us after her month absence!" CA Cupid announced back at the party as everyone cheered. Taking the mic, she started to speak. "Now, since True Hearts Day hasn't been Spellebrated in such a long time, I wanted to tell everyone what it's all about," she announced. "Once upon a time, there grew a very special tree: the Heart Tree. And even if the winter was harsh, and the other trees failed to bloom, the Heart Tree blossomed no matter what," she went on. "And so, our fairytale ancestors gave the blossoms to each other on True Hearts Day to show that even though it's not always easy, true love will always find a way. And so, to encourage all of us to follow our true heart… make sure to give yours to someone special to you!"
Everyone cheered before Ashlynn stepped up. She looked to Apple, having a worried expression on her face.
"I'd like to say something," Ashlynn announced as she looked to Hunter. "Hunter, when I listen to my true heart, it tells me that you're my prince charming." She announced, touching everyone's hearts.
"But how can you be a Royal, and date Hunter?" Blondie questioned.
"I don't know, and now, I don't care how much we deviate from our paths," Ashlynn replied, surprising Apple. "But if writing our own Happily Ever After means I can't be a Royal, then in the decree of freedom set by Raven Queen and Ravenicus Prime, call me Ashlynn Ella, the Rebel!"
Everyone cheered before Ashlynn stepped off of the stage with her Heart Blossom.
"Pumpkin?" Hunter asked.
"I'd like you to have this… I love you." Ashlynn declared.
Hunter smiled as he took the Heart Blossom, causing everyone to cheer once again. As Ashlynn and Hunter looked to each other lovingly, Apple walked over.
"Apple!" Ashlynn gasped. "I'm so sorry. I just had to do what—" she started before Apple handed her a Heart Blossom. "Why are you giving this to me?" she asked.
"I might be worried about you, and I might think you're doing the wrong thing, but I want you to know that we'll always be friends, no matter what. That's what's in my true heart." Apple smiled assuredly.
"Till All Are One, Apple." Ashlynn and Apple hugged before breaking off to hug with Hunter.
"Beautiful." Marylyn smiled. She looked to her Heart Blossom and looked around.
Briar, Lizzie, Miko, Cerise, Poppy, Melody and Maddie looked to their own Heart Blossoms too and looked in the same direction that Marylyn was.
Dexter smiled as he handed two Heart Blossoms, one to Raven and the other to Cupid.
"Happy True Hearts Day." Dexter smiled.
A boy with black hair, fair skin, blue eyes, and wearing a grey shirt with white sleeves and denim pants with black sneakers walked into Cupid, the two stuttering.
"Sorry about that," the boy apologized. "I'm new here."
"Don't worry," Cupid stuttered. "I have a hard time watching where I'm going too."
"Well, since today's special, I'll let it slide," the boy handed Cupid a Heart Blossom. "I'm Jack, by the way. Jack Nimble the Second, but I go by JD."
"Um, hello, JD," Cupid blushed as Raven and Dexter smiled. "You new here?"
"Just started this year," JD smiled. "You give great love advice, and I thought you'd like a Blossom."
"Thank you," Cupid blushed again. "How nice."
"I'll see you around." JD said before walking away.
"Wow…" Cupid felt her heart racing. "Did I just… did I just find a new love?"
"Take it slowly," Raven said. "You'll get there."
Meanwhile, Rogelio led Milton to a location in the forest.
"Now, let's see how many students shall get detention." Milton said.
Rogelio was feeling ecstatic for Milton to ruin the party. Not only would it be the perfect payback to Hunter for ruining his blackmail attempt, but he would have Ashlynn to himself. He could outshine even Daring. Rowan was only an obstacle in his path, being the son of a crazy king. The students would not dare to oppose Milton. No one would dare to stand up to him once he was the only one for the Huntsman destiny.
The door was soon thrown open, and inside was Cogman doing arm wrestling with Edmund Burton.
"Oh, Milton, hello," Edmund said. "You come to compete against Cogman too? This is my fiftieth try!"
"Knight Rowan isn't here, but he did leave you a transmission to talk through." Cogman clicked a remote on his arm that turned on a hologram of Rowan.
"Good evening, Headmaster. Rogelio, if you've woken up," Rowan said. "I can imagine you're getting ready for the night."
"Where is the True Hearts Day Dance, Mr. Twain?" Milton asked.
"Dance? Dude, you're a laugh," Rowan laughed. "If you want a real laugh, you should see that Rogelio threatened to tell everyone of a relationship between two of my friends. They're just friends, nothing more."
"Which ones?"
"Ashlynn Ella and Hunter Huntsman. They hang out a lot, but they're just friends."
"You liar!" Rogelio scoffed. "Don't listen to him, Headmaster. I caught my cousin and that princess on camera. I'll prove it to you."
"That is enough!" Milton snapped, surprising Rowan, Milton and Cogman, who easily slammed Edmund's arm down. "You filmed two students in a supposed relationship, and threatened to make it public… just for a destiny?"
"Well, that makes it sound horrible, but…"
"More than horrible! It is lower than my expectations, lower than anyone could go!" Milton yelled. "What kind of a—?" he started before looking to Cogman. "Mr. Cogman, see to it that Rogelio is put under guard when escorted back to his room!"
"What… what are you saying?" Rogelio asked, losing his cocky streak.
"When you get back… pack up and get out." Milton glared.
"Damn…" Rowan said before he signed off.
Rogelio snarled as Cogman pushed him out the door. "You'll pay for this! You, Rowan, the Autobots… everyone!"
Rowan smiled before looking out the window. In front was the driver's compartment of Optimus Prime.
"Thanks, Optimus," Rowan chuckled. "I can't believe you volunteered to help with the party."
"I am glad to help," Optimus Prime said. "What better way for you to have fun than on the road?"
"Your trailer is very roomy," Rowan awed. "Think you can drive around for another hour?"
"As long as you need." Optimus Prime chuckled.
Rowan smiled and walked back in, where everyone was looking to him.
"Well…?" Briar asked.
"The party's not stopping!" Rowan hollered, getting everyone to cheer.
Rowan chuckled before hearing a transmission coming through his Talisman. Everyone looked to their own and let it play.
"This is Ratchet," Ratchet's voice came through. "The Climate Upgrades are now complete. Tomorrow, I will have a note of absence ready for one of you to travel with an Autobot to the Winter Kingdom to explore more into Megatron and the AllSpark. Choose wisely. We have limited time before the Decepticons start to catch onto our advancements."
"Well, we can decide that tomorrow," Rowan said as the transmission ended. "For now, let's enjoy the night."
"Better get a bag," Ali said as Rowan walked to his table, full of nine Heart Blossoms. "You're very popular. More than anyone else has gotten."
"But…" Rowan picked up a Heart Blossom, seeing initials on them. "Who would leave them for me? Everyone thinks my dad…"
"These people don't care," Raven walked over. "They seem to love you for who you are."
Rowan looked to a Heart Blossom that read MM and another that red BB. He looked to Marylyn and Briar, who turned quickly away.
"Wow," Rowan blushed at the nine hearts. "They all really care."
"So… this is love," Optimus Prime watched through a camera and let out chuckle. "Seems that some humans are more lucky than others." He drove around the Enchanted Forest and continued, allowing everyone to party through the night.
Rogelio narrowed his eyes inside a carriage. In front of him were the Autobot and Decepticon logos crossed out. It glowed as he was taken away, with Ternir Beauty sitting next to him.
"They shall pay."
Author's Notes: Well, everyone, did you like my newest Chapter? This is one of four for the release of War for Cybertron: Siege, so expect a new one very soon. Also, I hope you spotted another character from Transformers Prime in this story. You either missed him or found him out immediately. Since Duchess is now good, I had to come up with another villain to take over. Rogelio will return much later on.
