At an unknown location in the mountains…
In a dark place in a temple, plans were made for a disastrous event for the Merfolk as the Beastfolk will make examples of them.
Foolish floundering fish fumbling through the fabled lands without concern or consequence, taunting the Beastfolk's way of life. This is how things would go, Merfolk stay in the water, they come out of the water and the Beastfolk eat them. That is how things would go and yet the Merfolk would dare to mess with the natural order. Little guppies are getting a little too hard to handle and should go back to their bowls. That is when the leader of the Beastfolk called for the meeting of all the clans to better discuss the perfect way to do such… necessary work.
"As you know, the merfolk have decided to take up some business on our territory. They are willing to defy our way of life, hide in the shadows where they think we cannot reach." Their leader declared in a booming and threatening voice as the Beastfolks growled and howled in outrage in such audacity from their prey.
"Outrages!"
"Inexcusable!"
"Unheard of!"
"Fools!"
"We'll eat their bones and gobble their flesh!"
"Cook them alive!"
She then calms them down and presents the foolish fish who dare to enter their land. Anger was deeply felt by all, the land was theirs, such as the sea belonged to the fish and the sky belonged to the…
"It seems that all this started by just one little school of very naughty fish." She declared and then presented the projection of the Seto Clan.
"They are responsible for this." She informed the populace growling with rage at such a pathetic Merfolk gang, "Once again the fake dragon trod on our toes and once again it has brought my claws before them."
They all chuckled as they remembered what she had done.
"Now, we must find out-."
Before she could finish her sentence, the phone rang.
"Mistress Michishio Hanabira, Contessa of Calamity, there has been news from the pack you sent." A Meerkat Beastfolk informed with a humble bow to the leader of all the Beastfolk of the land.
She smiled with wickedness as she knew this would be the call to expect for a while.
"Purr-fect." She purred then plucked the phone as she listened in the conversation, "I see. Very well, I shall be there soon. Tell my nephew that I will be pleased to see him again."
She then put the phone down and turned to the council.
"Your nephew?"
"Yes, and my successor."
