Now that that's out of the way, it's time for chapter two.
Chapter 2: Making Preparations for the Next Week
When morning came, Baloo was on the computer, looking for businesses that had an open position. Owen was sitting next to him in a high chair, so that the infant wasn't out of his father's sight. Every so often, Baloo would put Owen in his lap, putting him back in the high chair when the cub-bunny wanted back in it. Nonetheless, the bear continued his search for a job, writing down the ones that were open on a list. As he did so, Lexi came in, deciding to check on her husband and son. Upon seeing Baloo at the computer, the rabbit went to see him.
"What are you doing?" Lexi asked.
"I'm looking for a job, Lex." Baloo answered, still searching on the internet.
"Any of them interest you?" The rabbit asked.
"Not at the moment, but I wrote down a couple that sound interesting." The bear said. "Besides, shouldn't you be at work?"
"I don't go back until next week." The doe stated.
"That makes sense." The ursine said.
"Anyway, I'm going to make breakfast." The lepus said.
"Want some help?"
"No, I got it. Keep Owen company, though!"
Alone with his son again, Baloo kept a watchful eye on Owen. Realizing that the cub-bunny looked bored, the bear decided to make some funny faces for the little one. Upon making a few, the ursid was greeted by the laughter from his son. He continued, wanting the infant to be happy. This kept going until Lexi entered the room with two plates: one for her, one for Baloo. She even had a jar of baby food for Owen, intending to feed him.
"You really know how to make kids happy!" Lexi chuckled.
"Well, I'd be a bad father if I wasn't good with kids, now would I?" Baloo asked.
"Good point!" The rabbit said, giving her husband a kiss.
Once Lexi sat down, she ate breakfast with Baloo. She had prepared bacon, pancakes, fried eggs, and hash browns. In addition to that, there were slices of toast laid out for the both of them. After finishing, Lexi proceeded to feed Owen the baby food she had brought into the room.
"Eat up, sweetie, it's just carrots!" Lexi cooed.
After resisting for a moment, Owen ate each spoonful of food that Lexi was trying to feed him. While he initially didn't like the taste, the cub-bunny swallowed each morsel that his mother gave to him. Once the food was out of the way, the infant felt the urge to burp. Noticing that, Lexi took her son and patted him on the back. After burping, Owen fell asleep in his mother's arms. Baloo came over to Lexi as it happened, noticing something about their son.
"He doesn't really put up a fight when it comes to stuff like this." Baloo stated.
"Yeah, he's pretty calm for a baby." Lexi said.
"I just hope that he doesn't grow up to be one of those kids who kills their parents in their sleep, or even the kind of kids who are angry all the time." The bear said.
"Don't worry," the rabbit told her husband, "we'll make sure that Owen has a great childhood. Even if he sees something horrible, we'll still be there to support him."
"Words of wisdom as always, eh, Lexi?" The ursid asked.
"You know it." The lepus said. "I'm going to take Owen back to his room, while you continue on your job search, okay?"
Baloo nodded, giving his answer. Seeing that, Lexi carried Owen out of the room, taking him back to his room. Now that he was alone, Baloo got back on the computer, continuing his search for businesses that were currently hiring. The bear even looked over his list, checking to see if any of them would take him. Seeing that the computer was running low on battery, the ursid decided to plug it in. After that, Baloo looked over his list, making sure that he had the businesses he was interested in down, along with their phone numbers and addresses.
An hour later, and Lexi was sitting in the living room, playing with Owen. Baloo came into the room, looking over the list he had written down. Curious, Lexi went over to the bear, carrying Owen in her arms.
"Looking through want ads?" She asked.
"No," Baloo stated, "I'm just looking over the stuff I wrote down, trying to decide what job I should take."
"Which one looks interesting to you?" Lexi asked.
"I don't know, but I'm eager to call one of these businesses next week, and see who is willing to hire me." The bear said.
"Next week?" The rabbit asked.
"What's wrong with that?" The ursid asked.
"I promised my parents that we would visit, remember?" The lepus spoke.
Then it hit Baloo, he and Lexi had promised to visit her parents during the next week. Not only that, but Lexi's older brother, Ace, would be around for the visit. Baloo actually felt nervous to meet Ace. While he got along with Lexi's parents, the bear feared that the buck would see him as some creep who isn't good enough for his sister. He actually froze when that thought came to his mind. This concerned Lexi, who waved her arm in his eyes.
"Baloo, if you've forgotten, it's okay." She spoke. "I admit, my parents can be a little much."
"No, I remembered that we were going to visit your parents next week." Baloo said. "It's just that I'm a little afraid to meet your brother."
"Ace?" Lexi said. "Oh, Baloo, you have nothing to worry about! Besides, Ace is a very nice guy. Even if he isn't around much, you might take a liking to him."
"But what if he sees me as a horrible choice for you?" The bear asked.
"Come now, Ace isn't the kind of guy to judge people by appearance." The rabbit told her husband. "And speaking of brothers, mine is a different case than yours."
"Gee, don't remind me!" He said, rolling his eyes.
When Lexi mentioned him, Baloo never thought that they would talk about his brother. Baloo's older brother, Bon, was enough of a horn dog that the bears hadn't spoken to each other for quite some time. For as long as the ursid knew him, whenever Bon wasn't trying to pick up chicks at a bar, or getting drunk, he was often having sex with whoever was willing to sleep with him. Baloo could not help but shudder as he thought of his brother, considering how he could have just about every STD in the book. In addition to that, he was worried about what being around Bon would do to Owen. If the cub-bunny didn't become inspired to drink alcohol, then he would become inspired to have sex with every woman he met.
"I really couldn't imagine taking Owen near Bon." Baloo said. "He'd be more than a bad influence, he'd be a terrible one!"
"In that case," Lexi said, "we can either let my parents watch after Owen, or let one of our friends watch after him."
"Sounds good to me." The bear said.
Lexi leaned up and kissed her husband on the nose. Wanting to return the favor, Baloo pulled her into a passionate kiss on the lips. The bear and the rabbit then broke apart, not wanting Owen to get crushed between them.
"So, when do you think your job interview will be?" Lexi asked.
"I might go see one of the CEOs on Monday, which depends if we aren't doing anything on that day." Baloo said.
"We aren't," the rabbit stated, "so you're more than free to do that."
"Good to know." The bear said.
"On Tuesday, I have a meeting, so I'll be busy on that day." The lepus stated.
"So, we're visiting your parents on Wednesday?" The ursid asked.
"Friday, actually. As far as we know, neither of us might have anything to do on that day."
"Sounds good to me, sweetie."
Lexi and Baloo shared another kiss, having more passion this time around. Shortly after, Owen started to cry and squirm in Lexi's arms.
"Oh," the rabbit spoke to her son, "are you hungry, Owen?"
Lifting her shirt and removing her bra, Lexi allowed Owen to breastfeed off of her. Baloo looked away, as he found it impolite to watch as a mother breastfed her child. Upon being told it was okay, the bear watched as Lexi sat down and held Owen in her arms. Throughout the day, the family barely did anything. The bear and the rabbit remained in their house, watching over their son and doing what they needed to do. When night came around, Baloo and Lexi would have some private time to each other.
Baloo lie in bed, wearing a night robe and some lounge pants, while waiting for Lexi. The rabbit was taking a shower, which meant that the bear had plenty of time to wait for her. By thinking about his wife, he felt aroused. The ursid reached into his pants and stroked his penis. Massaging it, he felt the organ become erect. He let out an occasional moan, feeling a desire he wanted to carry out. Baloo kept massaging himself, until he heard a familiar voice speak to him.

"Right." The ursid said.
"Now, let's get some sleep." The lepus said.
Cuddling up with each other, Baloo and Lexi fell asleep. Throughout the night, the couple slept well, even if Lexi had to occasionally check on Owen. Nonetheless, the two were ready for next week, despite the day of the week being a simple Thursday.
