The next morning…
Hanabira came back to deal with her good-for-nothing brother and her harlot sister-in-law.
She was so busy dealing with the merfolk and making sure that her nephew got a proper education on his cultural heritage, she had to save what had in store for her black sheep family members for the next day.
"You own our house!? How did you manage to buy my mortgage?!" Daisuke spluttered with shock after learning what his sister had done.
"Because the original owners felt annoyed by your lack of care since your home kept getting blown up and repaired by shady characters-."
"But that's not my fault!"
"They were more than happy to sell it to me. I'm taking control of things from now on since I can no longer stomach your failure and your incompetence." She informed with precision, "All you two had to do one thing in your miserable lives was to take care of that boy and you failed horribly! I didn't intervene until now because I respected my Stepmother's wishes not to. 'they'll shape up. They'll do what's right.' But now I see I should have intervened sooner."
"What right do you have-!" Ai began but then was slapped by Hanabira, falling onto the couch.
"SILENCE! You have already made a complete fool of yourself now, do not incur my wrath further." She snarled at the woman then turned to her stunned brother, "You are a miserable pest who only did one thing in your entire life right and that was the creation of that boy. You couldn't even protect him, you harmed him. A failure in every single way. None of this would be happening if our father was still around."
"That's not…"
"It's clear we had every right to discommunicate you from the house and conceal our family's heritage from you. Father was right about you all along." Hanabira humiliated, "But that's going to change right now, you two are done. Where is my nephew sleeping?"
"I-in the attic."
"Not anymore. An heir to House Michishio deserved a proper room." She ordered her brother.
"But we can't shove Sun and Lunar up there." Ai voiced but her sister-in-law's features remained stony.
"That's not who I said is going up there."
"…Maki?"
"No."
In Nagasumi's new room…
"Surprise~!" Hanabira declared as she opened the door for her nephew, who had recently woken up with Sun and Lunar to see his new room.
It looked like a room worthy of a prince as there was a plasma screen TV, bookshelves arranged for books, his figures, and other things, a walk-in closet with new clothing, dimmer switches, and an elegant canopy bed with drapes. Everything was so wonderful as Nagasumi was given a tour of his new room.
"Woah, this is amazing~." Nagasumi marveled as the girls were surprised by the room he was given.
"Since you are an heir of the Mountain Kings, you should have a room like one. I already talked to your parents about this, and they agreed until you are old enough to move… or maybe you want to live with me-."
"Aunty, we've been over this. I'm happy here." Nagasumi informed.
"I know, I know, but if you change your mind. Anyways, they will be staying up in the attic from now on and you should be more accustomed to an actual room. I made sure you had all the amenities for you, including the latest video game console and games you can have. Everything is completely state of the art." She informed him in great detail.
"Thank you, Aunt Hanabira."
"Anything for you, my nephew. Oh, I almost forgot! You have one more surprise and it's a good one." She informed the boy.
"Really?"
"Close your eyes, hold out your hands, and no peaking."
Nagasumi did that then soon felt something small walk on his hands.
"What the-?!" Maki gasped.
"Okay, open them."
Nagasumi opened his eyes to see a tiny person in a top hat, cane, and glasses. The tiny person almost had a spider-esque to him.
"Good morrow to you, Lord Michishio. I am your new Majordomo, Mr. F. Webb or Nicholas F. Webb if you prefer." The tiny person politely introduced in an American southern accent.
"He will be your protector, teacher, and personal assistant in anything you need. Since I won't always be here to check up on you and it will take me some time to have another home here in Saitama, he will be here to watch over you and… a few others." She informed then gave a glare to the merfolk, "We also have some Beastfolk around these parts and if you are in need of help, Mr. F. Webb can help or get others to help."
"It is a tradition that every Mountain King Blood relation has a Majordomo, and I am honored to be yours." He politely bowed.
"Wow, thanks Aunt Hanabira and uh Mr. F. Webb." He thanked.
"What does the F in F. Webb stand for? Fake? Fool? Fart?" Maki mocked.
Sun was about to scold her when Mr. F. Webb disappeared from Nagasumi's hands and pinned Maki down with his eight spider legs to the wall.
"No, it's funnel-web, as in funnel-web spider, as in the poisonous spider, as in the world's poisonous spider, as in the world's poisonous spider that can ruin your life or make it nonexistent with ease. Does that answer your oh-so-vital question?" He smoothly answered, "Nod your head if you understand."
She nodded and he let him go, leaping back into Nagasumi's hands. Maki slid down while coughing as Sun went to the Conch to check on her.
"When the lady said I am here to protect, it was no fib. I will make sure this boy is okay, no matter how many bodies fall." He coldly informed the merfolk.
"Woah, easy. You don't have to kill someone for me. I can defend myself just fine."
"I know you can, and I will also be here to help teach you the Michishio's art of Kung fu as well. But if I am needed, I will come to the rescue." Mr. F. Webb humbly informed, "My sleeping arrangements have also been made in a simple fairy house."
The spider-man then leaped from the boy's hand to the fairy house near a shelf.
"Good day."
Hanabira and Nagasumi chuckled while Maki and Lunar sighed at how things would change. Now, it will be them walking on eggshells. Karma at its finest.
Sun looked at her future husband as he and his aunt were still talking about what his duties as an heir entailed. She thought about things the lady Mountain King spoke of her and knew it was time to step up. Nagasumi has proven himself time and time again. He was worthy of her and now it was time to say that she was worthy of him and she would do everything she could to become the bride that Nagasumi deserved.
