Chapter Three: "Feline Fine"
He didn't like it.
Seeing everyone again was too emotional for his liking. The hugging and tears and having to explain how he was alive was all just a pain to him. God, he's already becoming more like Batman.
Though he found their reaction to him of all people becoming Batman funny, with some complimenting his Batsuit design.
Side note, he ended up befriending Arsenal, aka the real Roy Harper that was kidnapped and cloned for Red Arrow and Guardian 1.
Eventually, they all left, with Black Canary offering him to meet with her for therapy. Jason warned them all not to spread his identity as Batman since he didn't know everyone currently in the Justice League and on the team.
After that, Nightwing and Batgirl also went home and Jason left next for his own place while Tim, Bruce, and Alfred went upstairs and into their beds.
Sometime (I don't know, a couple of days?) Later
It was late at night, at a Japanese styled manor in the outskirts of Gotham City.
On one of the rooftops, above the unaware guards, was a catgirl shadow that surveyed the area before jumping to another roof with a whip and enters into a building.
She soon enters a darkened room filled with many artefacts, from statues to swords, from urns to artwork.
She made her way through the room to she comes to a open door into a room filled with a laser grid and a jade statue of a
"Meow", the woman smiles at the sight of it.
She wore a skin-tight leather bodysuit. A stylised headpiece with cat ears. She had black goggles with large red-tinted lenses to hide her identity. She had on a variety of pouches and a sling backpack. A radio was on her shoulder for listening in on conversations. She had on special gloves that had razor sharp claws to scratch opponents. Along with her lips in matching black lipstick.
She is the Catwoman, an up-and-coming catburglar of considerable skill.
She then cartwheels into the room, going around the lasters, before jumping up and over another set of them and continued to do so with gymnastics till she was right before he jade statue. She then carefully slides her hand between the beams surrounding the stand it was on.
However, a slight twitch of her arm as she touched the jade statue, causes the alarm to go off. She looks around the room in distress as it lights up red as an alarm goes off. She goes to grab the statue but it is closed off with this glass cylinder from the floor to the ceiling.
She scratches at the glass in anger before rushing out of the room, since it would take to long to completely cut through the glass before security got there, and quickly left the vicinity of the compound.
The Next Morning
Alfred, Bruce, Tim, and Jason were in the kitchen for breakfast as the news played about what happened last night.
"Our top story", the reporter began, "one of Gotham's wealthiest recent transplants businessman Hideo Katsu received a rude welcome last night. Robinson Sprang has details".
"The same Hideo Katsu the Batman has been observing of late?", Alfred inquires of the three before him as he stirred his tea before taking a sip.
"The same one we've been investigating without success... so far", Bruce remarks as he eats his cereal with Tim also eating cereal before he goes to school.
Jason had arrived at the manor early and made himself some scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and buttered toast, with a glass of milk to drink.
The news continues to report, "Katsu's extensive collection of antiques remained intact, but, curiously, security cameras captured an image of what appears to be a costumed Catwoman", causing the occupants of the kitchen to look at each other at a new player in the costumed criminal game, "Joining me now is Gotham PD's Renee Montoya", walking up the the hispanic detective with a smarmy smile, "Uh, detective, could there be some connection between this Catwoman and the Batman?"
"While they have similarities due to appearance and methodology, they have entirely different motives", Renee shares with him in a deadpan tone, "Until evidence shows otherwise, there is no link between the Cat and the Bat".
Jason looks to the screen as he rubs his head in annoyance, "Come on Renee, you could've defended Batman better than that".
At Hideo Katsu's Estate
"I am most displeased", Katsu states in the room with the jade statue as two men stand before the closed door.
Hideo Katsu is actually a relatively short Japanese man, similar to the Penguin in height, with greying hair and had a mole on the left side of his upper lip. He wore a business suit with a black and grey sleeveless haori (like a jacket for a kimono) over it.
He unsheathes a samurai sword and continues, "The sanctuary of my Murakami line has been compromised", he holds the sword before him with both hands, "Find this Catwoman", he throws the sword towards the duo and it sinks into the doors between them, "I want her head".
Elsewhere, Later in the Day
Within Gotham City, a red car pulls up to relatively lofty apartment complex. The driver steps out of the car to reveal a woman as a valet comes over to take her car.
This woman was caucasian of italian descent with green eyes covered by sunglasses and shoulder length black hair down up in a bun behind her head. She wore a lightly colored dress suit and heels while carrying shopping bags from a high end clothing store. She was in her late teens, early 20s, maybe 21 years old.
"Hello, Fred", she greets the doorman as she enters the building.
"Good afternoon, Miss Kyle", Fred greets the woman.
She soon enters the elevator and goes up to the penthouse of this establishment. She then heads to her room and is greeted by a black cat meowing at her.
"I missed you too, sweetie", she smiles at the cat as she closes the door, "Mama had to go shopping so she could feel better after last night's disappointment", she tosses the bags onto her couch and takes off her sunglasses. She undoes her hair, "You should've seen the prey", she pets the cat, "A big, shiny pussycat"", she sighs and falls onto her couch in disappointment, "Missed it by a whisker", she kicks off her heels, "Mmm. At least my adrenaline rushed".
It's pretty obvious from her one-sided conversation that she is Catwoman, especially looking at all the cat themed statues, art, and other memorabilia all over her apartment.
She sits up, leaning on her arms while curling her legs in as she looks to the morning newspaper that showed an image of her caught on the security with half her face replaced with the New Batman's own face, "'Batman & Catwoman Connected?'", she reads and picks it up to get a better look, "Hmm. Batman's always looked tall, dark and handsome. But now he's even more mysterious".
Like most young girls that grew up in Gotham, she knew all about Batman and maybe had a crush on the dark knight at one point, but it looks like she being meeting him soon.
She walks over to a bookcase and moves it to reveal a secret closet to reveal her Catwoman outfit and gear, "Mmm. Consider Selina Kyle... curious", and she then suits up into her gear.
In the Batcave
It was late that evening as Jason is working on his Batmobile with Bruce while Tim had rn for the Team to work as Robin before the Batwave goes off, showing that a crime is in progress that may need the Batman's attention.
The Batwave was a new thing they made that signals to the Batfamily about crimes being committed that need their attention in Gotham.
"All units, disturbance at...", they overheard a police radio via the Batwave.
Jason immediate suits up in his Batsuit, gets in the Batmobile, and raises to the streets of Gotham before Bruce has to say anything.
Nearing the location, he hit the auto-drive and grapples out of the car to the roof overlooking the location, crouching over the edge to survey the area.
"Well, this is it", Batman remarks at the location, which didn't look to have any trouble going on, "So where...?"
"Hello, good-lookin", he heard a woman say from behind him, he turns to see the Catwoman he heard about on the news, crouched like a cat before a neon sign, "Nice cowl. Though it's sad I can't see that strong chin you're known for".
Batman stands up to confront her, "I take it you tripped the silent alarm".
"Only way I knew to get you to come out and play", Catwoman says in a flirtatious tone.
"Well, are you coming down, or di have to come up?", Batman asks in a threatening tone.
"Mm. Purr", she moans in satisfaction, "Catch me if you can", emphasising the Cat in catch before she pounces way into a run, with Batman giving chase.
She quickly takes out her whip and launches it forward, wrapping around a part of a building that was hanging over the edge and she swings up to the roof of that building and easily and ravels her whip with a crack before she parkours to another roof.
Batman grapples up after her, launching over the edge and landing before her. She pauses at the sight of him before her before running into another direction on the roof and Batman gives chase. She jumps over the edge and flips between a few buildings down feveral stories till she lands on an overhang.
She looks up to the roof she had initially jumped from, smirking at seeing Batman wasn't there and goes to leave along the overhang, only for Batman to be standing before her.
"You can stop playing hard-to-get", Batman jokes.
"And give up the thrill of the chase?", Catwoman smiles stylishly falling over the edge beside them, with Batman jumping after her.
She cracks her whip on to another of those unnecessary protruding structures buildings have and swings away, with Batman using his Grapple to do the same. They swing and jump between buildings before landing on another roof, run along it and jump over to other overhangs and traverse to a construction sight.
Catwoman goes up through an opening and Batman runs to it, only to dodge as wooden planks fall from it. he looks up through it to see Catwoman smiling at him, showing she wasn't trying to hurt him, it was just to make the chase more fun.
She begins to run again as Batman jumps up onto the next level and chases after her. After rounding a corner, Catwoman throws back a toolbox that he easily smacks away. They parkour over some crates before she then heads up through another opening to the sky.
Before he can follow, Catwoman cuts a wire with her claws that knock over steel pipes to cover the opening, which he tries to move.
She bows him a kiss, "Hate to cut our first date short, cutie, but I like to leave a man wanting more", and she runs away.
Batman's eyes narrow before he pulls out a remote control batarang and launches through the openings between some of he pipes.
The Remote Batarang then follows her onto another roof before she notices it behind. Catwoman ducks as it passes her by and stops to hover before her, it moves towards her a inch.
Catwoman goe to run the opposite direction, only to see Batman standing before her once more. He was holding his circular belt buckle in hand as it was the remote for the Remote Batarang.
She looks between him and the Batarang and back to him, taking note of the device in hand, "Cute toy, Bat-boo. Hyaah!", she cracks her whip back, disabling the Remote Batarang, "But corner a cat, get scratched!"
Catwoman rushes forward with a downward strike with her whip hand, with Batman diving to his left. She snaps the whip towards him, causing Batman to jump up onto some air vents. She follows and goes to scratch at his knee, which he blocks. She goes to back hand his face, he counters.
Catwoman tackles Batman and the duo go flying over the roof edge to a water tower on another roof.
Batman lands hard on the water tower and they flip off, with him landing on his back and her on her feet in a crouch before getting to her feet.
"Hmph!", Catwoman walks up to his downed form, "Another cat fact, we always land on our feet", she looks to him in thought, "Hmm... I think I'll take something to remember you by", and leans over him.
Batman was to delirious from the fall to notice what she took but was able to see her leave. He was able to get to his feet as she uses her whip to swing away from the rooftop.
He looks around for the feline felon only to see her nowhere. He then notices a weight off his waist and looks down to see his utility belt missing.
"No way. My Utility belt", Batman groans in disbelief, just knowing Bruce will have his head.
Later, At Catwoman's Apartment
Catwoman was posing before her mirror without her cowl and goggles, but with Batman's utility belt on around her waist. It was a little loose due to their size differences between the Cat and the Bat, but it looked good on her wide hips.
She hears a meow and looks down to her black cat before crouching to scratch its head, "I know, Isis. It the black and grey compliment my outfit nicely, even the little bit of red on the buckle matches my goggles", she takes it off, "But I didn't take it for its looks. I took it for the tools", she walks up to a wall within her dressing room and places a hand on it, opening another secret door to a walk-in closet turned into workshop.
She sets the belt onto her workbench, along with the Remote batarang she damaged. She sits down, "Hmm. Let's see", she takes off one of the smaller thin parts and sets that aside before pulling off the belt buckles.
She flips it around to see the screen and controls, "Hmm", she utters as she looks between it and the Remote Batarang, "This'll come in handy when I'm on the prowl".
She goes to tap the button, but nothing happens. She presses it twice, still nothing. Catwoman sighs before noticing a blinking light on the belt.
"Got a little security feature, do you?", she smiles at the challenge before getting to work.
Hideo Katsu's Compound
"You have found nothing on this Catwoman?", Katsu loudly questions his men while in his office, his back to them as he gazes into his fish tank, which houses two fucking sharks, "We must increase security in the event she is foolish enough to return", he turns to his men, "Call for the Dragon's Fangs".
At The Batcave
"She wasn't supposed to be able to do that", Jason remarks as he enters the Batcave while taking his mask off to see Bruce an Alfred already at work at the Batcomputer, "The belt's lock mechanism must have been damaged in the fall", as he sits in the chair while the elder duo stand beside him.
"This feline fatale is certainly proving to be a sly one", Alfred remarks as Jason pulls up images and footage of her from Katsu's security and his own eye cameras.
"You need to track that cat before she puts your utility belt to no good use", Bruce states as they worked.
Back with Catwoman
The thief n question was using her magnifying lamp to as she looks at the hardwire of the controller while her cat, Isis, lounges on the workbench beside the belt. She had an electronic sequencer beside her to beep when she hit a sweet spot, which it does now.
Back at the Batcave
The trio hear a noise and look behind them to see the T-Rex moving
With Catwoman
She lifts the magnifier as she looks to her computer screen with a smile, "goody".
At the Batcave
The Robo-T-Rex then moves erratically and bites into one of the platforms. Jason rushes forward while Bruce and Alfred duck and cover. Jason jumps onto the snout of the dinobot
With Catwoman
The feline themed woman begins to push buttons to figure out how to activate the Remote Batarang.
The Batcave
Bruce and Alfred watch on as Jason stabs into the T-Rex with his suits retractable claws to hold on to it.
He looks to the duo, "Shut down the auxiliary Batcomputer transmitter!".
Alfred picks up one of the wreckage on the floor and lifts it to him, "I believe this was the auxiliary transmitter, sir"
With Catwoman
"Come one", she complains, "Start up", as she looks to the Remote Batarang
In the Batcave
The Rec tail smashes into another platform as Jason cuts into the fake skin of the dinosaur with his arm fins and rips out some wires, stilling the robo beast.
With Catwoman
She sighs at the failure to activate the device, "Okay, so what does this do?'m she asks as she prods another part of the remote buckle, "Abracadabra", she utters as another kind of beeping goes off.
Back at the Batcave
Just then, Jason's Batmobile activates with it's remote systems.
"Quick, disconnect all Batcomputer receivers from all the gear before she...", Bruce orders Jason and Alfred, only for the trio to hear the engine of the BAtmobile rev and the tires to skid out of the cave.
"Son of a bitch", Jason sighs as he puts his mask back on, "I don't believe this", and jumps down to the garage section of the Batcave to get his other ride.
This was his new Batcycle for himself that he made custom. It was based on the faster models of motorcycle with some armored plating. It was mostly black and grey with red accents and a red tinted windshield. (based on the batcycle from The Batman 2004 but with red instead of blue).
He gets on and activates the Batcycle before racing out of the cave after his Batmobile
With Catwoman
She leans back with a sigh as she spins away from the workbench, "What good is this thing, anyway?", she looks to the device and taps the screen.
Within Gotham City
The Batmobile was wildly swerving on the streets of of the city, bashing into lamps and trash cans. Thankfully it was early morning and the streets were mostly empty except a few.
It speeds down the streets steering wildly around the few cars on the streets, causing one to spin out.
Batman was racing after it on his Batcycle till the few cars on the streets were crashed before him in the middle of the street, with a crowd from the buildings coming out to see what's going on.
Batman sees a bridge ramp and goes up it to jump off and around the crash, his cape flapping in the air behind him as he chases the rogue Batmobile. He's now practically next to the Batmobile as they race down the street.
He sets the Batcycle to autodrive and jumps onto the Batmobile.
The Batmobile then begins to spin around in circles, bumping off cars that were parked along the street and off of trash cans waiting for pick up. It rounds a corner as Batman climbs to the front windshield, only to see he and it were heading street for a parked semi-truck. He slides to the left side of the car, hanging onto its side, and it passes right under the cargo trailer, along with the Batcycle.
They round a corner and its now heading for a cramped alley. He climbs onto the roof again as the car hits some boards that sent it to two wheels and driving down the slim alley.
He takes the time to cut into the driver window and disables the auto-remote feature. He opens the door, slides in with the seat belt auto buckle and he hits the breaks. The Batmobile skids out into a more open back alley and finally stops.
Batman breathes a sigh of relief.
Back with Catwoman
Catwoman was tapping the probe on he workbench as she tries to think on what to do before tapping another component of the buckle remote. Just then, she hears the whirling from the Remote Batarang.
Catwoman leans over it with a smile while Isis is glaring at it due to the noise. Isis then jumps back in fright as the wings of the Batarang spread out.
"Oh-ho-ho, scaredy-cat", Catwoman jokes as the Remote Batarang now floats before her, she taps the Remote Batarang in the air, "Hmm. Can't wait to beta test. And I know just the place", she smiles at her plans.
Later, at the Batcave
Many of the Batcomputer transmitters were now laying on the table from Bruce and Alfred, before Batman comes back into the cave in the Batmobile with the Batcycle auto driving along side it. Funnily enough, one could see his face through the cut hole in the tinted window.
"Enjoy your drive, sir?", Alfred asks him in good jest.
"It had its twists and turns", Batman jests back before exiting the vehicle, taking out the transmitters from the car and bike first before joining the duo.
"Are these all the receivers", Batman asks the elders.
"Double checked and triple checked", Bruce states, "We got them all".
Batman sighs i relief again before he thinks of something, "If Catwoman were somehow, some way able to trace the signals back here...".
"You would have to rename it the Catcave", Alfred jokes as before the computer beeps.
"An active receiver?", Bruce asks aloud, as he looks to the screen.
"I was certain we'd disconnected all the receivers", Alfred states i confusion.
Batman looks down before his eyes narrow, "She took my remote control Batarang"
Bruce gets an idea as he then types at the computer, "Maybe there's a way to trace the signal back to it..."
"... and Catwoman", Batman finishes his thought.
Hideo Katsu's Compound
There has been an upgrade in manpower on the outside of the building, with search lights on the roofs and dogs with the patrols.
Catwoman was already within the border walls, running in the shadows, hiding behind trees to avoid the ever moving lights.
She has the utility belt buckled around her waist.
Eventually, she was once more in front of the laser grid room with the jade feline statue.
With a smile on her black lips, she takes out the Remote Batarang and activates it. She takes the belt buckle and remote pilotes the Batarang through the grid system till it was behind the jade statue. She has it close it wings around the it, grabbing hold of it. She then begins to pilot it back through the laser grid till they both were right before her and she snatches them into her sling bag before racing running away from the scene of the crime.
Only to see Katsu waiting with his two main men.
"The cat returns to Katsu", Katsu remarks with a smile at the sight of the Catwoman before him, "How poetic. Hahaha", he stoically laughs.
"Almost a Haiku", Catwoman comments as she stealthy pulls out the Remote Batarang, sauntering towards Katsu, "I'll be sure to jot it down as soon as I get home".
Katsu holds a hand up to stop her, "I must insist you stay".
Catwoman backs up, "Then I must insist you eat steel!", before throwing the Remote Batarang right at his face, only for it to be cut in half as a ninja star hits the ground.
Catwoman looks up to where it came form to see a stereotypically dressed ninja, colored black and dark green.
"Ah", Katsu smiles to Catwoman, "A dragon has many fangs", before she is surrounded by ninjas of many sizes in the same attire, all brandishing swords, "If you inform me which family sent you to steal my lion, I promise to make your comeuppance less... excruciating".
"Family?", Catwoman asks in confusion before crossing her arms, "As in organized crime?"
"Yakuza", Katsu states as Catwoman takes off her sling bag and takes out the lion, placing it on an empty stand.
"Heh heh heh', she nervously laughs, "Keep it", hoping to get out of this scott-free, only for the ninjas to approach her some more.
"It is said cats have nine lives", Katsu began before commanding the ninjas, "Destroy her ten times over!"
The two before Katus rush forward for Catwoman, who backflips to getaway before she jumps up in a split to avoid two more before they bash into each other. She spin ducks under another before kicking him away. She sees more stars being thrown and she jumps up to avoid them, leaving them to be embedded into the artifacts that were behind her, which she lands on.
She sees some of the ninjas run along the rafters, "Better be some truth to that nine lives thing", she grumbles.
She takes out her whip, only for a sai of all things be thrown and take it out of her hands, "Yeow", and sticks into the pillar of the room. she looks down on the ninjas that surround the room before seeing a familiar pointy eared shadow on the ground from the skylight.
"I should warn you fellas", Batman calls out as he glides down to land beside Catwoman with his cape hanging off the pillars, she was smiling at the sight of him, "Corner a cat, get scratched".
Some of the ninjas back up in fear of the Batman
"Mmm. Good-looking and good timing, Yes", Catwoman purrs.
Batman looks to her, "You have something of mine".
She looks to his belt on her waist before looking up with a sheepish smile.
"Ah, she pilfered from you as well?", Katsu notes with a smile as he points to the Batman.
She takes it off and holds it to Batman, "Take it. It's too loose and I can't adjust the size", causing Katsu to frown at what was happening.
Batman clips on his good old utility belt at his waist, all nice and snug in just the right way for him.
"Now stand a aside", Katsu angrily waves him off, "so we may complete our business with her", causing Catwoman to look fearful that Batman might do just that.
Batman looks to the elder yakuza, "The lady leaves with me".
"Then neither of you leaves" Katsu states before yelling out, "Attack!", to the ninjas.
Batman simply grabs some pellets from his bet as he holds Catwoman in close to his side, causing her to smile again. The pellets lnd at the feet of the ninjas, releasing a cloud of smoke.
Katsu is coughing as he is rushed out of the smoke to hide for his safety.
"Shall we, handsome?", she asks in a cordial manner with a smile, like they were going to dance, leaning into his chest
"There is no 'we'", Batman tells her. They then her the clangs of the swords as the ninjas near them.
"That's not what they think", she says as she points to their foes.
Batman grapples up to the rafters with Catwoman in his arm. One of the ninjas through stars to the cable, the metal of the shuriken was strong enough to cut the materials, surprising Batman.
The duo land with ease as the ninjas approach them in the smoke.
Catwoman notices the jade lion on the stand. She smiles and races for it through the smoke, sliding pass some ninjas and grabbing the small statue. She then has to jump back as a mace comes crashing down on the stand.
She slides it into her bag as she faces off with the massive ninja with the chain mace. She notices something up and sees that it's the cut tether of Batman's grapple and smiles at her exit.
She then has to quickly duck as the chain mace swipes at her, breaking the stone carving of a dragon that she was leaning against. She then rolls away and side kicks the ninja giving the big guy back up before jumping over the big mace wielder.
Batman was having a much easier time as he has fought far deadlier ninjas. Flipping around, kicking them away and cave in faces with just his fists.
Catwoman dodges some ninjas and runs up the split stone dragon carving and runs along the next story walkway, dodging some sword swipes and another attack from the chain mace.
She sees the mae wielder charge at her and she jumps onto them as they dive over the edge of the walkway. Catwoman then uses the mace wielder as a stepping stone to jump up to the cut wire of the Batgrapple and begins to climb up it to the rafters. Some ninjas soon follow her up it. The weight causes the rest of the wire to snap and the all fall.
Before Catwoman could hit the ground, Batman dives in and they roll to the ground safely. They look to the ninjas before looking back to see Katsu hiding behind the destroyed dragon carving. Both then look up to the open skylights and look to each other in agreement.
Batman lifts her up to their feet an she spins around to kick the ninjas away. They then race up the carving and Catwoman stops at the top with her hands held together in a crouch, "Alley-oop", as Batman steps in her grasp and jumps as she pushes him to the rafters.
He grabs hold of it but kept his legs down, she jumps up and begins to climb up his body to the rafters, helping him up as well.
The ninjas bring out their own climbing ropes with clawed ends and follow them to the rafters.
The duo are soon back to back as the ninjas surround them.
Batman grabs ahold of Catwoman's hand and spins her around to kick some ninjas again. He then swings her up and holds on to the higher rafter with her legs. She swings Batman up as he kicks some ninjas away while others fall off from trying to grab him.
"Thanks", "Thanks", they both tell each other before looking to there exit.
Batman lifts Catwoman up by her waist and she grabs hold of the wooden planks to freedom. He goes to follow but a weighted chain hits him and he falls, barely catching himself on the rafter beam.
He looks up to see a lone ninja standing above him, pulling out his sword.
"Reow!", Catwoman yowls as she jumps down with the her sling bag in hand, smashing it into the guys head and causing him to fall to the ground before Katsu.
"Oh! I think I broke it" Catwoman moans in despair as she hears the clatter of the jade statue pieces in her bag. She opens it to see the pieces, only to see a small USB drive, "What? A USB?".
Batman quickly reaches into the bag and takes it. He looks to it before looking to Katsu, "Pretty important, I bet"
Katus looks up to them scared as the ninjas laid defeated around him. As the shadow of the bat overtakes him, Katsu goes to flee from the room.
Batman takes a Batbola out and throws it at Katsu, quickly tying him up and causing him to fall to the ground.
They then hear the police sirens.
Batman looks up, "Catwoman that's our cue to...", turning to where she was only to see her gone. He then looks to his belt to see the control buckle missing.
The police cas soon arrive before the Katsu compound as Catwoman is on all four like a cat in a tree.
"Too bad about the statue", Batman snarks from behind her.
She looks to him, "Hmm. Win some, lose some", she dismisses with a smile, "Just glad you and I got to dance. We have so much in common".
"Less than you think", Batman says back.
"That's not what they think", she goes pointing a thumb to the news vans that now show up.
She then goes to leave but a cough from Batman stops her.
Catwoman looks to him, "What? You got your belt".
"Most of it", he says in a chiding accusing tone as he holds his hand out.
"Uhh", she groans, "You sure know how to spoil a girl", before taking the buckle from one of her pouches and tossing it over him, causing him to turn to catch it. He looks back to see her gone.
The Next Morning, Wayne Manor
"A USB retrieved by the Batman for the Commissioner, revealed a chart of Japanese organized crime, anming names", the newscaster on the TV states, "with Katsu at the top of a Yakuza family intent on expanding into Gotham", Renee appears on screen again, "Detective, do you have a statement.
"Rest assured. Gotham PD is arresting the other Yakuza members as we speak", Renee says with a smile.
"So would you say that the Batman/Catwoman link wasn't so far fetched after all?", the newsman asks her.
"Judging from what was shown, it is clear that they worked together on this as a team-up", Renee states.
"Ohh", Jason groans as he rubs his head in frustration.
"Not quite what I had in mind when I encouraged you to meet women who share you interests, Master Jason", Alfred snarks, "I was expecting Miss Gordon", causing jason to scowl at him.
Bruce smiles, "Well, you two did work well together", before he follows Alfred out of the room.
Jason shrugs in reluctant agreement before a small smile graced his lips.
Chapter End
AN: Based on The Batman 2004, season 1 episode 4, "The Cat and the Bat". I am skipping certain episodes due the villains involved, I'm saving them for later.
I couldn't really think of some big thing for the reunion with Jason's superhero friends, so I summarized it like I did.
Catwoman's cat is called Isis, since that is what I found is the most common name used for it. She only has one cat, other cats only visit.
I started working on this when I realized Batman Day just happened. I sincerely hope I can get these out more frequently, but I'm a serious procrastinator.
