Time had passed after the little accident at the street, the Police had taken away the mad motorcyclist and begun to clear things out on the street.
The random civilians' cars and motorbikes are moving around at the street but there is a tow truck that is taking away Sherry's motorcycle that has completely been broken into two after her little stunt in saving Fudo Hana.
Currently, Sherry is in the living room of a nearby house as she is served tea and biscuits by Yusei who is the owner of the home.
"I'm sorry that it's not much." Yusei stated with a smile to Sherry while Hana sneakily swipes a biscuit that she nibbles on. "me and Hana just moved here, and I don't have much to present for guests at the moment."
"it's fine." Sherry replied with a smile in return as she takes her cup of tea and begin to sip it. the blonde humming a bit. "and If I might add, this is a nice tea."
"thank you, it's a blend that I learn from an old friend of mine." Yusei replied while nodding. "again, I thank you very much for saving my daughter." He then bows to Sherry. "I was too busy with my job at work that I didn't pay too much attention to Hana who was about to come and.."
"it's nothing." Sherry stated while waving her left hand side to side. "I was just glad to save her in time."
"I see." Yusei nodded before he hears a phone ringing nearby. "excuse me."
Sherry nods to Yusei who nodded back before he went upstairs where the ringing was coming. The Blonde looking at the father who left before she looks at Hana who is munching on the biscuits with a happy face which made her smile.
"The biscuits must be delicious if you are eating that much, right?" Sherry asked Hana who nodded twice.
"Papa baked the biscuits! Hana loves Papa's handmade biscuits!" Hana replied with a happy smile.
"I see." Sherry nods with a chuckle before she takes a biscuit and took a small bite. The blonde tasting the pastry in her mouth and soon smiles when her tongue tastes the sweet yet fluffy flavor. "you're right, they really are good."
Sherry and Hana have a little fun chatter as both talked about one another while having a good atmosphere.
"so you're Papa is a Duel racer?" Sherry asked as she looks to a bunch of hanged wooden photo frames on a wall nearby that showed Yusei riding a unique looking red D-Wheel or Duel Wheel in short. "I must say that his D-Wheel looks very peculiar but also unique in a way."
"yeah, Papa's D-Wheel is really cool!" Hana said with a big smile. "Hana rode it with Papa once and it was fast and could go bam! And then swoosh! And then!"
Sherry chuckles a bit to Hana's childish description of her experience riding her Father's D-Wheel. The blonde continues to listen before she sees Yusei coming back down.
"sorry I kept you here." Yusei said to Sherry. "but I just got a call from work and I have to go."
"ehh~! But Papa said that Papa don't work at 2!" Hana said as she gets off her seat and then went near her father with a pouting face. "it's already 3! Why does Papa got to work again!?"
"I'm sorry, Hana." Yusei replied as he got down to one knee and looks sincere to his daughter. "but Papa has to finish up some leftover work at the shop. So please be a good girl and stay home for today, okay?"
"no~! Papa promised Hana that Papa will take Hana to the ice cream shop after work! You promise!" Hana whined while tearing up as she hugs her teddy bear tight. "Papa promised!"
"I know, Papa promised Hana." Yusei said while gently taking hold of her daughter's shoulder. "but Papa won't break his promise." He then smiles. "Papa will finish up work very quick and afterwards, we'll go for ice cream, alright?"
"no~! Hana wants to go for ice cream! Hana wants to go for ice cream with Papa right now~!" Hana exclaimed as she begins to cry. "Hana hates Papa! Papa doesn't keep his promise with Hana!"
"Hana, please understand." Yusei pleaded with his daughter with a frown, the father looking like he hated to see his daughter cry. "Papa needs to go to work."
Sherry looks at the scene before her as she feels a bit sympathetic because she could see how Yusei is having trouble raising Hana all by himself while not knowing why he doesn't have a wife nor a mother for his daughter.
Feeling just, Sherry steps in and eased the tense situation.
"How about you just go and have ice cream with your daughter?" Sherry told Yusei who looks at her. "a father must always keep his promise with his daughter, right?"
"I know, but I can't actually go against my boss at work and…" Yusei replied to Sherry before looking at Hana who is still crying. He looks back at the blonde and sees her taking out a phone then begins to dial some number to make a call. "uh?"
"Mizoguchi, it's me. do you happen to remember the automobile repair shop from the day before?" Sherry spoke on the phone and then nods. "I need you to make contact with the owner and tell him to give an employee by the name of Fudo Yusei some day off….yes… persuasion of any kind is allowed… yes… as fast as possible."
Afterwards, Sherry ends the call and then looks at Yusei with a small smile.
"you are free for the day, Yusei." Sherry told Yusei who blinks his eyes twice before having a confused look.
"what do you..?" Yusei spoke before he hears the phone upstairs ringing again, he looks at the stairs before back to Sherry who nodded to him. Feeling a bit uncomfortable for a moment, the father quickly went upstairs to answer the call and then returned downstairs about 2 minutes later with a rather weirded face.
"so?" Sherry asked while crossing her arms under her chest. "who was the call from?"
"my boss.." Yusei replied with a rather distant voice and a sceptic yet discomforted look. "he told me that I don't need to go to work for this week and I should spend time with Hana…"
"really~!?" Hana squealed when she listened to what her father had spoken. The child instantly jumping in joy. "yay~! Yay~! Hana gets to go for Ice cream with Papa~!" the little girl then grabs her father's hand and began tugging it. "let's go, Papa~!"
Yusei looks at Hana a bit surprised for a moment before to Sherry who just smiled.
"just go." Sherry stated while going near the front door. "your daughter is the only one you have and making her sad is the worst thing you could do, right?"
Yusei stares at Sherry for a moment before he nodded and this made the blonde smile a bit more then nod back.
A few minutes later, Sherry left Yusei's Home as the blonde walks to a nearby curb where a Limo is parked by and has Mizoguchi standing near the front door.
"Milady." Mizoguchi greeted with a bow to the blonde who nodded before going near the back door which the secretary/butler opened. "I trust that you are in a good mood?"
"indeed." Sherry replied with a smile as she went into the limo and the door was closed by Mizoguchi who soon went to the front and into the driver's seat. The blonde taking out her phone and checks the photo of Yusei. "to think that there could still be such a nice man in this city… I am rather surprised."
"this Fudo Yusei individual, I assume?" Mizoguchi stated while driving the Limo out of the curb and on to the road.
"yes." Sherry checks the photo of Yusei before she checks his image to match two other images online and she finds the man's image on a website that posts of an article about a Duel Racer Competition that occurred 5 years back and another about the man being a scientist professor. "Fudo Yusei, the Master Duel Racer and former head scientist of the Arc Project, huh? How interesting."
Sherry pockets her phone and looks back as she sees Yusei leaving with Hana, the little girl skipping all happily when she got her wish granted.
"it is what they say… 'a fateful encounter'?" Sherry whispers while smiling.
Sherry watches the distance gets farther as the limo drives away from the area and leaves for the blonde's company.
