On a random day in Totsuki's academy for chefs and within the Nakiri Mansion.
It was a calm and peaceful moment as there's nothing but peace at the time.
In a spacious living room filled with luxurious furniture, Yukihira Erina is found lying sideways on a couch and relaxing while reading a magazine about chefs and cooking utensils.
Today is a day of relaxation for the headmistress of Totsuki as her best friend/ secretary; Hisako had cleared the day's busy schedule along with the rest of the entire week.
Erina flips the pages of her magazine as she reads more news about Shino's Tokyo which received its second Michelin Star and further increase its business profit.
As Erina was enjoying her relaxation, a little figure came to her side and cooed out to her.
Putting down her magazine and looking to her side, Erina smiles as she finds her one year old son, Yukihira Haruki crawling on the carpet while dragging his favorite brown teddy bear and cooing out to his mother.
"Mwa…ma.." Haruki cooed out to Erina who giggles while putting aside her magazine and then picks her son up into her arms.
Erina pecks Haruki's forehead while caressing his head.
"does Haruki wants to relax with Mama today?" Erina asks her child who babbles before yawning and that made her giggle. "looks like someone needs to go for a nap."
Getting off the couch, Erina heads straight for upstairs and into her children's playroom.
Currently, her husband and her daughter are currently away on a little father and daughter play trip with her cousin and that leaves her in the mansion with her son.
Entering the playroom, Erina goes for the crib and placed her son in it.
Haruki cooed to Erina while waving one of his little hands towards her.
"give Mama a minute to make Haruki's milk, okay?" Erina said before she leans down and gives a peck on Haruki's head. "be patient, alright?"
Her son babbles with a smile as this made Erina smile back.
The mother goes to a table with the assorted and needed ingredients and tools to make her son's milk. Erina had trouble with the items when she first had Aki as a baby but now she's now experienced enough to do it all easily.
Pouring the milk powder and the warm water into the baby bottle, sealing the lid tight, shaking it, and then tasting the flavor while making sure that the temperature was just right for her baby boy.
"alright." Erina goes back and carried her son out of his crib before going to a rocking chair where she begins to bottle feed him. "here is Haruki's milk~."
Haruki opens his mouth and starts sucking on the milk bottle, the baby boy drinking while having gentle pats on his back from his mother who begins to move the rocking chair back and forth.
Erina smiles to Haruki who takes things rather slow whether it is when he's eating, playing, or sleeping, her daughter Aki on the other hand was vigorous in playing, eating, and everything else.
"good thing you're so much like me, right Haruki?" Erina asks her son while gently caressing his head, the baby boy still focused on drinking his milk.
A few hours later.
Night came as our attention is to a private bathroom in one of the many rooms of the Nakiri Mansion.
Erina is found walking in while carrying Haruki, the baby boy babbling to his mother while holding a little rubber ducky.
"it's time for a bath, Haruki." Erina said as she went to the bathtub filled with warm bubble water, and floating rubber duckies. "let's have the ducky joined its friends in the water."
Haruki babbles as Erina carried him, undressed him, and then gently and slowly dipped his feet in first before pouring some water onto his back to ensure that he could get used to the temperature.
After some small splashes and dips, Haruki dives right into the pool and has a swell time with the floating toys while Erina cleans his hair, and body.
The bath took almost 10 minutes as Erina made sure that her son was clean in all the spots.
Erina pulled the plug out of the sink and let the water be drained, then she pulled the shower head and begin to rinse away all the bubbles off her son's head and body, being careful as to not hit his eyes, nose, ear, and mouth.
A minute later, Erina comes out with Haruki who is wrapped in a big towel.
"now it's time for Haruki's hair to dry." Erina told her son as she carried him to a baby table where she gently shook the towel on her son's head and dried his hair. Afterwards she wipes him all dry before grabbing a fresh diaper that she puts on her son. "there we go." She smiles at her baby boy who cooes out to her. "all nice and dry, right?"
Haruki babbles out to Erina who picks out a freshly cleaned blue onesie that she puts on her son in a few seconds.
After the bath and getting dressed, Erina carried Haruki out of the room as she gives him some loving smooches and pecks while sometimes tickling his stomach to get him to laugh all gleefully.
"now what story should we read today?" Erina asks her son while going into his playroom where she goes to the rocking chair and sits down. "what do you want to read today, Haruki?" she asks her son who babbles in reply while waving a hand towards a nearby bookshelf filled with children's story book. She turns and looks at the list of children's story books in store. "let's see….there's Cinderella, the Three Little Pigs,…" she goes through the title of each story book before she finds one that might interest her child. "ah, here's one of the new ones that Soma bought." She picked a book and pulls it out then held it near her son for him to see. "Little Chef."
She sat Haruki on her lap and then held the book in front of him.
"let's start." Erina said with a smile to her son while flipping the cover open. "once upon a time…"
Erina reads the bedtime story for her son who looks at the drawn pictures in the pages while listening to his mother's voice.
The bedtime story took almost 10 minutes to finish and when Erina reached the end of the pages, Haruki is fast asleep on her lap while balled up.
Erina placed the story book back to the bookshelf and then carried her son into her arms, she patted his back while getting off the rocking chair and then walked straight for his crib where she placed him down.
With a little pillow, plushy toys, Haruki's favorite teddy bear, and his blanket, the little boy is now peacefully asleep in the dreamland.
"good night and have sweat dreams, sweetheart." Erina whispers while caressing her son's head several times before leaning down to give a loving peck on his head.
After putting her son in his crib, Erina turns on the baby night light and then exited the room while being gentle as to not wake Haruki up.
Erina sighs as she goes downstairs while rubbing a hand to her neck.
"I guess even if it is with Haruki, it's still tiring." Erina whispers before she hears the front door opening and someone calling out her name. "I'm going down the stairs right now!"
Erina went downstairs and to the front door where she finds her husband; Soma who came walking in while carrying her daughter; Aki who is fast asleep in his arms.
"we're home." Soma said as he came to his wife and give her a peck on the forehead and then the lips. "had fun with Haruki today?"
"I had a good day with Haruki." Erina said before she looks at Aki who grumbles a bit in her sleep. "and I can assume that our little girl had spent her entire energy with Alice on the play date?"
"Something like that." Soma said while caressing his daughter's head. He grins while snickering a bit. "had lots of fun with Dan and got tuckered out on the way home."
"well then, go get yourself cleaned while I get Aki to bed." Erina said while patting and then caressing Aki's back. She was about to carry her into her arms but Soma stops her. "what?"
"today I promise that you'll be able to relax, and that is a promise I'm keeping with you." Soma said with a smile before he gives Erina a kiss on the lips and then grins. "I'll also cook you something special as a good job day with our son."
Erina wanted to retort but remembering how her husband can be over-caring ever since they had their kids, she just kept it in and sighed before smiling gratefully.
"pudding~…." Aki mumbled out and that made Soma snicker a bit to hear it.
"How about I also prepare pudding for our little Aki tomorrow?" Soma said while patting his daughter's back before he walks up the stairs but not before taking a glance at his wife. "go and have a bath first, Erina. I'll join you later and give you a good massage."
"alright." Erina said with a nod before her face went red when she realized what she agreed on. "h-hey!"
"shhh. Don't wake our little girl." Soma teases Erina with a grin as he goes up the stairs and his wife pouted angrily.
