During a day in Totsuki, it's the usual time of the day for the place that trains students into becoming great chefs for society.
The time is somewhat peaceful as students were going around doing what they wish to do for their future career as great chefs, the teachers would do everything in their abilities to help them and that goes for a certain first seat alumnus who is just humming while walking in the school's hallway.
Yukihira Soma; the Indra of the 92nd Diamond Generation is found just walking around in the school's main office building where he was just making his rounds to his destination which is the Headmistress office room.
In the office room of the school's headmistress, Erina is found doing her regular paperwork duty with the help of her close aide/best friend; Hisako.
Things inside was just all calm and peaceful as the only sound heard is Erina's pen scribbling and signing the paperwork she needs to complete for the day.
As this peace was going on, the door to the office room had a few knocks before it was opened by Soma who came in.
"hey, Erina~!" Soma called out all cheerfully. "I'm here~!"
After Soma came in, Erina just sighs tiredly as she facepalms a bit to see him entering her office.
"you know, people who knock on my doors usually need to let me allow them to enter." Erina said as she sighs again and looks at Soma a bit tiredly. "what do you want now, Soma?"
"what else but to visit my beautiful wife and check on her~?" Soma asks all playfully as this made Erina sigh again.
Both Soma and Erina had already gotten married about a few months back and the two were just enjoying their newlywed lives.
"didn't you check on her back at the auditorium when she was doing her regular headmistress duties in meeting the students?" Hisako asks with a sweatdrop as Soma just went and goes to Erina's side. the man hugging her after giving her a big kiss on the lips. "and even before leaving the Nakiri Mansion as well?"
"when you get married with someone, you can tell me how you can handle your deep need to check on someone you love, Arato." Soma said as he hugs Erina all happy before he went down and leans gently close to her bulging 5 months pregnant stomach. "and especially if your loved one is carrying their little baby inside their belly!"
After their wedding, Soma and Erina didn't waste time and got going for the baby making. Now the headmistress is carrying their first child in her womb.
"can't this wait, Soma?" Erina asks while patting her husband's head as he just listens closely to their baby's in her womb. "I'm literally in the middle of my paperwork."
"no! I want to keep on listening to my future son/daughter!" Soma replied all childlike as this was his behavior after learning that Erina was pregnant with his baby. "he/she might give me a sign that may tell me what he/she will be!"
Erina sighs tiredly as she is getting really annoyed by her husband's childish behavior.
"well, with the remaining paperwork having nearly a week's deadline…" Hisako said as this made Soma all cheerful.
"thanks, Arato! You're the best secretary in the world!" Soma said as he got Erina all to himself. "I'll be sure to make our kid's god mother!"
"yeah…thanks." Hisako sighs as Soma has been saying that ever since her mistress got pregnant. She picks up the finished and unfinished paperwork then proceeds to head out. "I'll be getting the finished ones to the teacher's facility."
"thanks, Hisako." Erina said before she yelped as she got carried off her seat by Soma who carries her bridal style. "h-hey! I can walk, you know!?"
"no, you don't!" Soma said as he carried Erina to the office's couch where he laid her down flat then proceeds to lean close to her belly. "as long as I'm around, you and our baby don't need to move a finger or anything!"
'are all future fathers like these?' Erina thoughts before she sighs with a smile as she proceeded to caress Soma's head while the man was listening close to their child's heartbeat in her womb.
Erina caresses Soma's head as the man just started to do all the baby talk to their future child, he was saying all things like his baby will be a great chef, and he'll spoil them and everything.
Some time later, at the Nakiri Mansion. Soma and Erina are in their bedroom as the two were just relaxing together.
"if it's a girl, let's name her Aki and if it's a boy, let's name her Jonichi." Soma said, he and Erina were thinking of baby names for their future child.
"Aki is a good name but where did Jonichi come from?" Erina asks, a bit bewildered for Soma's choice of the boy's name. "I don't think such a name even exist for boys?"
"really? I think it's a cool name though?" Soma said while thinking. "we take the Jo from my dad, add the whole second since my dad is the first and that's how you get Jonichi, see?"
"we are not naming our possible future son that name." Erina flat out rejected it.
"if we're set for the girl's name, what's your idea for the boy's name?" Soma asks, wanting Erina's opinion for a boy's name.
"if it's a boy…." Erina spoke out as she began to think about it for a moment. "it should be…"
"should be?" Soma asks, wandering what would she pick for a name.
Erina hummed a bit while thinking before she smiles.
"I guess the name Hikaru would be nice." Erina said as this got Soma to hum while thinking.
"Hikaru means light and all, but when you mention that, I think Haruki is a good name too since you're going to be set at the spring or fall.." Soma thought out loud before he shrugs his shoulders, smiles and pulls Erina close for a loving hug. "but I guess we can just decide which one to pick after we know our baby's gender~!"
"really? All that hard thinking and that is what you get?" Erina looks a bit deadpanned at Soma for a moment before she sighs tiredly. "what am I saying? Of course you would, it was foolish of me to even ask."
"yeah, it was." Soma said before he went and slid down the bed then leans close to Erina's pregnant belly that he caress and kissed. "and guess what, it's all going to be worth it once our little one joins us."
"we still have to wait a few more months, remember?" Erina said while caressing Soma's head as the young man hugs her closer. "be more patient."
"I'll try." Soma said as he then gives a big smooch onto her belly. "but that won't stop me from constantly visiting you during your work hour."
"of course." Erina sighs before she smiles and patted Soma's head. "and I'll try to make faster work on my duties too."
"alrighty~!" Soma grins as he began to do more baby talk to his future child in his wife's womb while Erina caress his head.
Both just stayed there as this will without a doubt be a while for them to finish and take some rest with one another.
